I'm not sure yet if I want to display with or without clothes though but I'm really in love with her, she was an impulse buy I might need to get her a companion if I get the chance

 

Heyyyyy guys…I haven’t been active in the hobby for years and don’t own dolls anymore buuuuut I think I might need a Truffle Maybe some hobbies you just can’t escape from. May I request some Truffle spam?

 

The zuzus I ordered from mandarake arrived today (much sooner than I had anticipated!) I had roped my sister into getting one as well, so now there's three zuzus in the house in desperate need of a good washing and restringing

I've heard people talk about using a slightly larger gauge of elastic when stringing to improve posability, what size would you guys reccomend?

Are the brown, yellow and blue shade Rumi/Mir/Sandy Zuzu Delf (Dragon) only available during limited character runs?

And from what I'm seeing Rumi is the female, Mir is the male... Is the faceup/Bodyblush (if getting the company one) different between them or is it the same and only the clothes are the difference to show the gender? I can't really tell

For those that have Kappa and/or Ryba (the goldfish) can you show me pics please? Would like to see them from owners here!

i think for now u can only buy in full set
choose a set and u have option of head

for make up look picture is the best bets u can have ( in one set at bottom it show the make up option of make up boy or girl make no difference u get one of the style make up u choose )
zuzu have no gender after all u can decide one day a girl one day is a boy

The different colors are available only as limited runs. Otherwise you only can get white. The full sets (with clothes) are currently only white.

Do you know how it is if I choose, for example, Persi head but choose makeup E (which shows one of the dog(?) heads in brown and accessories). .. Will I still get the Persi head (but type E color and accessories) then or also Persi cat accessories? Or how does it work?

 

If you mean the ears and tail by the accessories, you will of course get those that belong to the head type you choose. The skin color will be white unless you make your order when other colors are available. The face up will be like the one you choose (for example E). On page 18 of this thread you can see Jekku, my monkey boy (Mong sculpt). He was ordered when different skin colors were available. He has monkey ears and tail and face up E.

But I didn't mean the skin color but the faceup color (like type E shows as a brown faceup while type A is pink and type D violet)

So, what I'd like is a cat head (like Persi) but with a brown faceup color instead of pink because I'd like a boy and already getting a pink one ... So I'd choose, for example, Full set K, persi head and faceup E
Which means I'd get Persi with brown faceup, right including cat ears and cat tail (like faceup option B shows)? With the skin obviously in white

Imo the page doesn't properly show/explain it

 

That's right. You would get a white Persi cat with brown face up. I thought it was obvious, but I see that it can be interpreted differently, too.

By the way, have you noticed that Luts has started a summer event and you could now get a Zuzu Delf with different skin colors (but then you would not get the outfit).

And is it normal that if I make an order over 400$, that I can only choose either the wig or the head?

 

The event just started yesterday.
As the special skin colors apply to other dolls besides the Zuzu Delfs, Luts is only showing a couple of examples and then all the colors as headcaps only.

It seems that you can only choose one gift item. It is allowed to choose a cheaper item if you feel that you have no use for an extra head.

Also fun fact; these two are wearing Nanana Surprise bottoms and Createable World tops! Left also has a Rainbow High hip sweater accessory (it's not wearable as a sweater).

So, I know Luts offers some but... Does someone know of Kimono (etsy or anywhere except Luts) that fit Zuzu Delf? I have a new one and need one for her and am looking for alternatives to the 2 Luts offers
(I want a Kimono, not a Yukata though)

She is so adorable! And you’re so right…she’d look adorable in kimonos! I hope you can find what you’re looking for. My Zuzu Delf Miyo wears that sort of thing and they’re so cute on her.

Your boy is so handsome! I love him in that outfit. It really suits that wonderful serious expression he has.

 

Would you want this wolf as tall as a Yo as well? There's Zuzu26 which is the Zuzu heads (and paws) but on a 1/6 body. I have a Fenny on the Zuzu26 as well as a regular Zuzu Wolffy. Can get ya a pic of those two side by side in a couple days if you'd like. Here's a comparison from Luts though.

If you're looking for even taller than 1/6, Luts does have a couple kitty Zuzu 1/4 that I could see being made into wolves if given different ears.

 

I don't have any Soom YO's but here is a comparison of a Volks Yo-SD and a 26 cm Zuzu Delf.

If you're wanting a taller than average yo Zuzu, you would probably have to hybrid a Zuzu head onto a taller 1/6 body. I know a few companies make 30cm 1/6 dolls but don't know of any that make that size in anthro. (Maybe Dearmine?) Also Zuzu have very small necks compared to most 1/6 (from my experience) so that would be something to factor.

 

My boy wears basically nothing but Createable World clothes but I never thought about trying Na!Na!Na! stuff! Do their tops fit as well or just the bottoms? (All of my Na!Na!Na!'s are currently packed away in a storage tub otherwise I'd try it out myself.)

 

The tops can fit like a crop top (some more cropped than others) so I don't use Na!Na!Na! tops for these two. The jacket from the dog boy one I've put on my Wolffy but it's a little tight fitting so it hinders articulation and the sleeves are a bit short. I haven't put a Na!Na!Na! dress on my Zuzu since mine are both males that wouldn't wear "girly attire", but I imagine they could fit. I'll try to remember to dig out my other Na!Na!Na! tomorrow to try more things on my Zuzu. I have a few Na!Na!Na! girls to steal clothes from.

Thank you so much! My only Zuzu is also a boy so the Na!Na!Na! tops probably won't be any help to me either. But it's good info to have if in the future I decide to buy another Zuzu and make her a girl. It's nice to know the pants will fit at least! My Remy(Zuzu Persi) currently has the least amount of clothing out of my BJD's so it's great to know he can fit into something I already own.

 

Recently I put together a little display for my Zuzu Delf Corgi. Can't have too many corgis on the shelf I have her propped up with an adjustable Lati Yellow stand from Nomyens and it so far it's done a good job holding her steady.

 

Love your little corgis-they have such sweet faces and your Zuzu looks so happy.

I've ordered my first BJD ever (Fenny), and I'm eagerly awaiting her. The fact that her eye color will be random made me wonder-what colors have people gotten with the various sculpts, over time? Do certain colors seem to pop up with certain molds more?

...am I distracting myself from the wait by admiring other people's little critters? Yes. They're so dang cute.

 

i have a zuzu delf persi that my sibling gave to me (limited release from 2008, doctor version) and was wondering what type of clothes would fit them? they're also missing eyes, but looks like it originally came with 18mm. would 16mm also work?

 

I'm not sure about the clothes sizes since I make my own, but for the eyes, 16mm works very well for them

Is there any sort of usual schedule to offering the specialty non-skintone resins (IE, the strawberry pink, the mints, etc)? Trying to search the news announcement forum was only turning up summer events and new mold releases.

 

I believe the pastel shades are ordinarily offered as part of their summer events. Hopefully they’ll return again this coming year, because they’re certainly gorgeous resin.

 

@Lawrichai Your boy's face up is so pretty! I want to boop his little nose, but he doesn't look like he'd appreciate it haha.


@twinkling.swan For clothes my Persi wears mostly "Createable World" clothes(by Mattel) the shirts and shorts fit him really nicely, and I think the styles work well since he's supposed to be a child.(most pants are too long though.) I imagine "Skipper" sized Barbie shirts would probably fit but I haven't tried yet since my Persi is a boy. I've also found a few simple shirts and shorts at dollar tree that fit him better than expected!

Oh, wow! I personally wasn't a huge fan of that sculpt, but your faceup really changed my mind, it's so cute!

 

I'd never seen that detail on the back of the wings before, it's beautiful and you did a great job painting it! Love the silvery horns and other parts, too!

 

Good news for a new source of Zuzu clothes! I picked up the Rapunzel Disney ILY 4Ever pack, part of the new 11 inch doll line, and the clothes fit, even over the paw hands. I'm delighted and will be ordering more.

Aurum tests her new eyes. Between the pose, the faceup that needs some touch up and resealing, and her eyelashes which are a bit of a wreck...I think she wandered into 'creepy doll' territory.

Honestly I think she's beautiful as is. I don't see anything "creepy" about her. I think her eyelashes are just making her look sleepy haha.

Luts' summer shindig is on! So far, no Zuzu stuff. (Not a surprise, they seem to be pushing their new bulky boys hard.) Any guesses on if there might be a special Zuzu release for this period, aside from having the color options opened up?
