ZuZu Delf Discussion Part 5

REALLY like the new Rumi.... though shes going to be impossible to get.

 

I expect there might be more less limited Zuzus later in the event. The limited Rumi is very sweet though

 

I hope you're right RubyHeart... It's been so long since i've gotten a zuzu and I'm a sucker for dragons...

 

Definitely hoping for more (less-limited!) Zuzus to be added to the event. I'd love a Christmas reindeer Nor!

I third the idea about more unlimited zuzu's. They're releasing some more clothing for them officially which is nice. I personally love the fact that Fenny is unlimited because I plan on getting her next-- and next won't be until September 2016. Vanori, your Finn is just beautiful!! Did you make the dress?

 

They changed the limited number of Rumis from 10 to 30, so she didn't sell out right away...which made me glad because she's so cute that I decided to nab my first Zuzu. Anyone else?

Out of curiosity, is anyone here a Fenny owner? What size eyes would you say fit best? (And if you have pictures of that size in your Fenny that'd be even more awesome. )

Thank you! That helps a lot. Sometimes when looking at company pictures and ones across the internet, it's hard to tell whether eyes are 14mm or 16mm. >.<

 

So there hasn't been an Oink release since mid last year? They probably wont release another till winter, will they? (if they release one they have lots of sculpts to chose from now, don't they.)

I'm really pining for an Oink over here!

 

Hah.... When it comes to their pig sculpts, I'm still hoping that Ggul will get a second release. She suits my preferences more than Oink. That said, you're right. Their sculpt library has increased drastically since they first started producing them. Not counting dreaming and romance versions of existing sculpts, there are now 23 different Zuzu Delf sculpts. (Though, you might be able to cut three off that list if you consider Cathy and Toya the same, Rabi and Persi the same, and Bichon and Frise the same, since they do share faces...) Still, they've come a long way since the days where they only had two cat sculpts.

....Just randomly thinking here, but I wish that dressing Zuzu Delfs in masculine period clothing wasn't so hard (and that I wasn't so picky about quality). My Lio could really use an Edwardian suit.

 

My Fenny Station Master is still wearing his default eyes, which are 16mm.

I love cosplaying my anthro's... I dunno, it just seems cuter. I mean, they're already cute enough but this pushes me over the cuteness threshold. I'd love to see your Lio in an Edwardian suit! I go nuts for period costume. I've been planning a Sherlock/Watson for awhile, but I have no idea where to begin and give up And I won't deny that the idea of a Pride and Prejudice cosplay hasn't crossed my mind a few times.

Thank you! He's about 5 years old now, I think? He doesn't get as much attention as some as the others, but he's always been very special to me.

So I noticed they updated basic Mati's face-up. He? is a girl now, and super cute. I really liked the previous face-up though I wish we could've had 2 face-up options...

 

Aw Mati is adorable! Mati did used to look more masculine. I love how they can change that just by the skintone and faceup.

 

I ordered Rumi! I'm really excited! She's going to be my first Zuzu!

I love everything about her except her wig (a little too pale and sort of school-teacher, IMHO, but that's just personal taste), which I've already bought a Leeke replacement for.

I'm really excited, too...can't wait 'til she gets here!

 

I love everything about her. I think her little wig looks so sweet on her. But if I find another one, I'll probably put it on her. I fell in love with her more so than the Persi. I love cats but she reminded me of me as a baby with those chubby cat cheeks. Hahaha!

 

Congrats on the Rumi's!! I would have ordered her but I didn't want doubles of a single sculpt xD;;

They are all so cute! I like their wigs! What size do they wear?

 

6/7 or Honey Delf size

Some tend to be a bit loose, so closer to 6 is better!

@KittyKittyClaudia No worries, ask away!! Zuzu's were my first love! My very first one, the Wolffy (Grandma) named Kimochi, just recently turned 6 last month!!

 

Oh thank you!! What size clothes? And shoes? And wow! 6! My dolls aren't even a year old yet.

 

They can wear some Blythe clothes, those are hit or miss though! I know they definitely fit Fairyland's new line called RealFee, which is what my Fenny is wearing in her solo picture! Then in the group picture, the Rumi and Wolffy are also wearing RealFee outfits!

Lio, Truffle, & Papi are wearing Luts outfits made for Zuzu's from various releases. Also in the group picture, Fenny is wearing a Hestia outfit, but it's a bit tight and held together by threads ^^;

None of mine wear shoes since I like their toe beans, but Luts makes shoes specifically for them :3

 

Oh nice!! I just ordered some Blythe clothes for my KIKIPOP in hopes that they fit her. But she'll have to share her clothes when the time comes. Aww! They have toe beans??? How cute!! I can't wait for mine!

 

Just an FYI for anyone who may have ordered one of the limited ZuZus in December, my Rumi is on her way home. (Of course the USPS lost my last Luts doll order, so we'll see, lol...)

Well...with my amazing good luck with this company, my doll arrived in Chicago, then turned around and went straight back to Korea. It currently appears to be somewhere called the Anyang mail center. So far I have ordered three dolls from Luts, and I have yet to see any of them...or to get compensation from the Korean postal system. I really like Luts (or at least I like them in the pictures, since I've never actually had one >.>), but this is ridiculous.

But don't worry, KittyKittyClaudia! I've never heard of anyone else having these issues - it's all me. I'm sure your cutie will get to you with no problems at all!

This is the second time I've ordered from them - the first order contained two dolls, they went missing in transit on December 31st last year, and the whole thing has yet to be resolved. I ordered Rumi before the other dolls had been shipped. According to tracking she arrived in customs and was immediately sent back to Korea. I don't know if they forgot the customs forms or what, but I'm extremely upset, of course, since my other two are obviously gone for good. BUT I'm taking a wait and see attitude.. because I can honestly add one more thing: the US postal system sucks in all regards...so this could just as easily be a glitch in the tracking. For all I know, Rumi is still happily plodding her way home, and has no idea how frantic she's made me.

lol, sorry, I guess I lost you somewhere - Rumi is the one that tracking says landed in Chicago and then went back to Korea. But I've had enough experience with stupid tracking to stay calm unless there is confirmation that no one knows where the package is. I'm holding onto the hope that she shows up tomorrow as scheduled...because really, in seven years of BJD collecting, I've received every doll except for one shipment from Luts...so what are the odds that both of my Luts shipments would get lost?

 

Eek! You're making me worry! This is the first time I've ordered from them. And their address form confused me a little but I hope they just use the one from my paypal. I mean, I'm sure I filled it out correctly. That is really odd though that it's just your Luts orders..

 

No, please don't worry! Things go right so much more often than they go wrong that it's silly to even consider the possibilities. I have received over a dozen dolls without issues. The bad luck I've been having with Luts is completely coincidental, and limited only to me. I've never read anything from anyone else about problems with shipping, so I am sure you will have no problems at all! It's just one of those weird quirks, and I fully expect it to be resolved in the end.

 

Oh, well I really hope you get your little cutie soon. She's too cute to not have a home. And I'm sure she's ready to be home!
When exactly did they ship her?
I'm still waiting on my order but I did order two dolls so mine may take longer.

 

Sure enough, she showed up out of the blue, even when the tracking said she was in Korea. And...she is the cutest thing ever!! I ordered her on December 8, and they shipped her on February 24. Well worth the wait.


The obi decorations were a little hard to figure out, and easier done with two people...especially the length of pink silk that gets crossed under the obi and then sticks out above it. Same goes for the white and gold rope that hooks in the back with a chain. HUGE word of warning: the chain is impossibly fragile. If you tug even a little too much, it will come right off of the hook, or off of the end that's attached to the cord. I know this because mine came off of one and then the other, lol. Fortunately my daughter likes to work with chains for jewelry making, so she had a length of it that wasn't so delicate, and replaced the whole thing to be sturdier.

Anyway, the faceup is so much cuter and more vibrant in person than it is in the promo pics or my crappyass ones that I can't decide between the pale wig she came with and the one that I bought to keep her from being so monochromatic. In fact, I love this little dragon so much that I will probably get another during an event if I like the limited outfit she comes with. And finally, speaking of events...floating heads are not really my thing, so I completely forgot to order one with her. Luts very kindly threw one in for me, and I have NO idea what the sculpt is! Was it a choose your own head, or was there one in particular that they were offering? And what the heck is the size? It seems too big for the Zuzu wig, so I'm wondering if it's a KDF.

She is so stinking adorable!!! I can not wait to get mine. Maybe next month. And thank you so much for the heads up. As for the event, I remember them emailing me about it and asked me to choose a head. Blank heads aren't my thing either so I asked if I could get a wig.

 

Yep, if you ordered yours in early January, she'll probably come in mid to late March. And she IS just that stinking adorable! Much more than the photos, because even Luts's nice ones don't really do her justice. You will love her to pieces. ^_^ I think it's awesome that they let you replace the event head with a wig - I've never even thought to ask for something like that! I use the ones I have to practice my no talent faceups, lol.

 

She truly is more adorable in your pictures than the official one. I wasn't that impressed with rumi before but now I'm sad I missed out!

 

Yeah, I think they had multiple options for however much you spent. I spent a lot since I ordered two dolls. But I asked for a wig and they said yes. I was able to pick whatever one I wanted.

 

I might have snagged an in-stock Queen-Bichon from FF&D!! I have to put her on a short layaway, but yay!! Another grail obtained! I've named her Dream.

That grey skin is also very nice Wouldn't it be cool if Luts would introduce gray skin for all off their dolls! I know one doll I'd like to get in that resin color

Luts is releasing a new line of actual pets, which are kitties. I wish they were smaller, but they're still cute. I think I'm going to snag one. They're all in white skin, not in gray, they're just blushed in gray.

I do wish they'd release more fantasy colors other than whites and tans. :T

 

I would not mind if they came in 2 sizes. I'd like to get the gray one to join my ZDF Persi and KZDF Curly but I wish they were smaller too.

I have not been here for so long but I still have my little Camille (ZDF Persi). She's a Bohemian kitten now

I rarely take pictures and am not as active as I once were because of my chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis. But I have plans to get a ZDF Chu. I'm waiting to hear from Luts if they will consider releasing gray skin for all their dolls. I'll be fine with a ws Chu I guess but I much rather have a gray skin one!

 

I know I haven't been in the thread in aaages, long time no type, haha.

Anyway, I'm definitely getting one of those little kitties, hopefully the orange one. I live about 20 minutes away from FF&D, so putting it on layaway through her is the easiest thing ever. I'm so excited.
