ZuZu Delf Discussion Part 5

Too bad, as I would love to get a Mong. Maybe someday as a fullset.

My Fenny arrived and I was totally surprised as he came with a face up and body blush. I ordered him blank! I'm really happy with him and now need to figure out an outfit. What a surprise, thank you Luts!

 

Oh my goodness, that Mong is too too precious... I just recently found Mong and want him so badly, one of the characters I want to shell (the only one that isn't one of my original characters) is nicknamed Monkey, and his chibi form in the show has a little monkey nose like Mong and he even fights with a staff like the one Mong comes with and I'm absolutely overcome, I adore him. I'd love to have a regular version of that character and then a precious little chibi monkey version... All these little guys are so cute!

 

I love the ZuZu Delf Frise. I bought a tan one too. I have to take pictures of him yet, but he's number four. I know it sounds a little crazy, but every time I see a ZuZu Delf Frise I want one. They're so cute!

Frises are adorable. I think the sculpted hair looks great and it's so hard to find a wig that will properly fit their oddly shaped heads. At least, I have that problem with my Wolffy.

I thought I had a corgi vibe from them! I have two tri copper headed corgis. I'll have to look into dearmine. I currently have a elleo corgi painted like my oldest.

Thank you!! The amazing Dybbuk painted them, she is amazing!! I was kicking myself before, I knew about Mir (Sandy) & Bichon (Iron Fan)'s release, I was active in the hobby much more back then, but I convinced myself I could do without them... Such a bad move! I was lucky to get that version of Mir, but I never found Bichon! I have her Queen version though, but Iron Fan had such a cute faceup and outfit!

 

I had never seen the Iron Fan Frise, but the Frise are now basic, can't you order one that is white and have someone talented paint it for you? I had to look her up on Google to see what she looked like, she's very pretty. It looks like she may have had magnetic ears, is that right? The basics don't have those.

 

@Bubble Gum Goth Yeah, I think that's why they named them Bichon, to pretty much say that Bichon has detachable ears, while Frise does not, even though they're the same sculpt! What's weird is they didn't do that with Wolffy nor Fenny, lol, so I can see a lot of confusion going on there xD

I guess I'm a bit constant, while all my Fairyland dolls get custom faceups, all my Zuzu's have kept their LE faceups, so I'd like to keep it that way x)

Hi! I just wanted to share a picture of my Zuzu Woong! He still needs proper clothes.

 

What wig size do the Zuzu Delfs wear. I've looked all over and haven't found an answer. I even look through the Luts discussion post and didn't see anything. I know these sculpts work with out wigs but really would like to figure this out.

 

About 99% sure my Zuzu wears their CDW size, which is 6-7. I'm too lazy to do it right now, but just click on your (or any) Zuzu on their site to see which wig it's modeling. That will give you the code for the wig size.

 

6-7/CDW is correct! But I have found that some of them are looser than others but ZDFs won't fit anything smaller imo

 

I've been looking to see a definitive size for the Zuzu head. I've looked all over. I know for the most part they can go without wigs but I want to make a wig but have not idea what wig size they are.

 

Well, Zuzu Delfs are generally 19cm tall, which is pretty close to Tiny20 Delfs, and their heads are 15cm, or a bit under 6 inches. If you want to assume that the Zuzu Delf head circumference us about the same, then Zuzu Delfs would wear 5-6 wigs, which makes sense for a YoSD (or slightly smaller). I can't be 100% sure, because I don't have one and (like you've seen) the measurements don't appear to be posted anywhere, but I hope this helps until someone can give you something more definitive.

 

It depends on what sculpt you're looking for, pretty sure that's why most wigs are offered with elastic bands so that they can cover *most* head sizes. I have Papi, Lio, Truffle, Rumi, & Bichon if you need head measurements for those~ (also have Wolffy, but her ears are attached).

On the topic of size 5-6 wigs, I've never tried them because 5-6 is for smaller dolls like Fairyland Pukifee or Lati Yellows and as you can see in the *old* photo I have below, the two dolls have quite a difference in head size (FL Pukifee vs. Luts ZDF Truffle).

I have a Velo and I want to get him a spiky black wig. The one he came with is cute, but I want to change it up some. Where are some good places to look, besides the doll site itself? I was curious if there were ant wig makers people preferred.

The tan looks a tad lighter than on the company photos, but works really well for him! I'm glad that Luts has been offering different tan shades for their basics for a while now.

And it's good to know that Kikipop clothes fit Zuzu Delfs, some of my critters desperately need new outfits...

 

It's been so long since this thread has been chatted in! I think that's also because Luts hasn't given any love to their poor Zuzu Delf line!! Don't they know we need more clothes for our precious Zuzu babies?!

Yesss!! The original release Wolffys are so far and few! If I had known they would be so elusive, I would have gotten the Pasturer and Princess Wolffys too! This one has her default faceup, I've been thinking about sending her out for a new one (I only added lashes), but I'm gonna wait until this one is chipped/damaged.

I see they haven't released any new Zuzus in quite a while though. I'm relieved but sad.

I've just ordered two cute zuzus, a lio and a persi Until recently I've never know Luts has this adorable line
So for preparing their arrival I started to search new clothes for them but again I'll have dolls with strange measures I read they can wear yosd clothes so I looked into them and I found a cute onesie which is good for a littlefee. So my question is...Will my zuzus be able to wear it? I say thank you for any help.

For a safe bet, I would compare the measurements of Zuzu to the YOSD. I want to say that LTF is quite a bit bigger than ZDFs since LTF is 25cm versus ZDF at 19cm. I've had a lot more luck with Fairyland's RF line instead! It fits ZDF almost PERFECTLY, so I've been hoarding all the RF sets I can (that I like, of course!).

@vam31 Congrats on your order. Two doll at once. How exciting! I just ordered a zuzu too. A Frise to be exact. Luts carrier event gave me that motivation to just press the buy button already! I'm pretty sure they'd fit Dearmine Dearpet clothes. They have very similar proportions. I've also heard Madame Alexander 8" clothes fit alright.

@crazykimochi They look amazing! I had no idea RealFee clothes fit.

 

@Anglerfishee Yessss!! I was super stoked to find out since Luts is lacking in ZDF clothes so much! I mean, some downside is that you have to remove paws/feet to put them on, but I don't think that's a huge deal really (mostly because FL does magnetic hands, so it's easy for them to change clothes)

 

@crazykimochi your zuzus looks so adorable in those clothes! I think I'll pass that onesie bc I wouldn't be able to sew over for my dolls. Thank you for the offer! I'll look around by the RF section

Did anyone tried Blythe clothes on zuzus? I read their clothes will also fit but they seem so tiny for me :"D

 

@vam31 Blythe is hit or miss... some dresses fit, definitely not pants! Pullip is hit or miss as well, sadly. If you get dresses from SugarMag, those fit for the most part~

@vam31 PKF is similar to Lati Yellow and definitely too small, sadly! ZDF is an in-between LY/PKF & LTF/Yo-SD T____T

Honestly, finding boy clothes is a lot harder than girl clothes, so my Lio is just wearing the outfit from The Wolf & the Seven Little Goats, while my Papi wears the armor from the Pigsy release! I don't think my two boys will staying with me any longer (I'm currently purging a lot of my dolls, lmao).

 

@crazykimochi now I see how small are they :S I really thought I can use some of their clothes.... *disappointing sigh*

Kiki pop clothes fit too. My tan ZuZu Delf Frise boy wears overalls I got that were Kiki pop

 

I ended up making my own clothes for my Zuzu delf, and I realized that some parts are to tiny they require to be sewed by hand >< My sewing machine is too big and I'm used to big 70cm dolls.

I just finished blushing my Persi and will post pictures as soon as his outfit is done

So sad that Luts is neglecting their Zuzu line so badly

 

Right? I was surprised Miyo (and Kappa) had been out for so long but they're still in stock when they're both limited to less than 50.

The cute kimono, hair, and her sunset colors really sold me. And tbh, I feel like the Zuzu's are the more attractive than other anthro dolls but I won't name brand names, lol.

So I took Wren out to the park today for some photos... photos were super cute but once I got home I had some instant regret.

Her poor body blushing got dinged up pretty badly. It's almost as if she was never sealed. I should have known better as I took her shoes off, but I was super gentle with her and didn't drop her or anything. Literally just standing her up on surfaces got her super duper scuffed and I'm just bummed. She did get pretty kicky in the middle so I wonder if most of it happened then as she was tossing limbs around.

That being said, if you look in my previous photos, some of her "claws" look white. They chipped just trying to put her kimono on (the opening was big enough so I didn't want to take her hands off), like bleh. Maybe someone needs to take my expensive dolls away from me until I can learn to treat them better.

 

Aw, that's sucks! And the body blushing was so pretty too. That's a shame. She's still very pretty, even if she's too delicate for nature!
