I did! She's the one that's available through Dolk. Adorable! Her faceup and outfit coloring are just too similar to the one I just got though, so I'm passing this time. If she had been more similar to the Sandy release, I couldn't have resisted the temptation and would have been all over her, lol

 

Personally, I still think the one we got is cuter. But she's a cutie.
And I'm still waiting on shipping for mine.. I think one more week. I think...

Okay, I'll admit I'm a little bit biased, but she's TOTALLY adorable!! I love the little vest so much, but it took so much work to get the rest of the outfit right that I couldn't bring myself to cover it up. So glad you posted yours! I love her friend, too! Dorothy? So cuuute together! Congrats on getting your cuties home.

I agree, her outfit was tough to get figured out. In fact I think I've redone it about five times. But I think I got it just right.

So I just got my belated birthday present! A ZuZu Delf light tan Frise. This is my fourth Frise, I have two white limiteds, a sleepy-eyed limited and now this one. He is adorable! (I am now planning on getting the super dark tan one too) He has so much personality! I'm just in love with him. I just got him so haven't taken any pictures yet. I will post as soon as I can, I was just so excited to share the news!

 

I would love to see your new dollie! And I'd love to see your other Zuzus as well!

Anyway, I got a new Zuzu recently to replace my Fenny that I rehomed! This is Dream, I found her in-stock at FF&D and felt the need for her! She's finally home!

Aw...good for you crazykimochi ! I looked at her several times when she was in stock, she is adorable but wasn't at the top of my list.

Ryba the goldfish or whatever that is would have been fun to have in my Furry cat family. Just a thought...

I believe Bichon Frise is the complete name of a Bichon and ZuZu Delf has them as just Frise. The Frise is unlimited now and available in several different colors. I just got one in Tan. I'll have to take some pictures once I have his correct eyes and outfit.

Edit: Tsukasa, I do see now that you were right, they have ZuZu Delf Bichon seperate then the ZuZu Delf Frise, but they look totally the same to me so I'm a little confused. Aside from the removable ears And bald head they look exactly the same. Is that the only difference?

CrazyKimochi, She's beautiful, is she the cinderella Bichon? Do her ears come off?

 

Oh, I would like to see her with darker eyelashes! Please show her more, she is absolutely gorgeous! By the way, what wig does she wear?

I've had my zuzu for awhile, but I'm finding I really want to do more with them recently. I wasn't going to sew much for this size, but i find myself wanting to make little coats and tops for these critters.

I was excited to see the Kappa, and then found myself a bit taken aback seeing the face without the beak. What is it supposed to be? I wish it had been an actual bird. Oh well. It's fun to see new releases!

@Elzamine - you should absolutely start sewing for these guys! They are such fun to sew for, and almost my favorite size.

 

@pepperonipizza : You took the words right out of my mouth! I thought it was a very cute concept until I realized the beak was removable and I did not like what was underneath...

 

Glad it isn't just me. I found it creepy as HELL.

 

Does anyone know what the other is supposed to be? A fox? A dog? A cat? A fox/dog/cat hybrid?
And that kappa is very unsettling without the beak. But I guess it makes kind of sense with the folklore of kappas and how their name translates to river child? Or something like that. I don't know.

 

@KittyKittyClaudia : I have no idea what Miyo is... looks like a cat, but the face isn't too flattering either. After reading your comment it does make more sense why they sculpted the Kappa face like a child. Even so... it's a weird face, but I understand the concept a little better. Interesting releases for sure!

 

@Dybbuk I mean, Miyo is kinda cute. The face is a little silly but I think the wig is what's maybe not working with her face and ears.
And yes, I agree that child face is weird. I don't know if it's the lack of ears, or its tiny mouth and huge eyes.. It's odd. I would have been ok with it just being a normal kappa. A little turtle shell would have been a cuter removable option.

 

@KittyKittyClaudia : You're probably right. Looking at the blank photos I could see Miyo being a cute mold without the pageant up-do wig. xD

A removable turtle shell would have been darling on Kappa. Alas this saves me from purchasing anymore dolls.

 

@Dybbuk Her wig makes me think of Dolly Parton. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I love me some Dolly, but doesn't go with Miyo's theme.
I'm stalking Luts to see if they'll ever make a Wolffy sculpt again. I really want to get my hands on one. They are so cute!

 

Yeah, I am on the same boat! A romance Wolffy is kind of my actual grail and he is hard to find.
I asked Luts a couple of months ago and they said they appreciated the interest but it wasn't on their short-time plans. Maybe if more of us ask them about him they will release one soon.

 

I think that "Miyo" is just meant to be a pudgy cat with plush fur -- like the British Shorthair. That might explain the blond wig, if the Korean artist(s) wanted to indicate this was a 'foreign' cat, not like the more wedge-headed Asian kitties.

I like her cheerful expression (agree that she has a certain Dolly Parton vibe), and hope I can snatch one up when they're released this week... but I can't be sure until I see what the fullset costs!

As for the kappa, if I recall correctly they're supposed to be a little creepy -- back in the day, Japanese mothers would tell their kids not to play too close to the river 'or the kappas will take you'.

I think I'll keep dreaming about a second-hand one, as I want to have a very particular character on him and it would require a very particular face-up and clothing so I would have no use for his fullset.
I wouldn't have the heart to spend that amount and then wipe out everything T_T

 

I so much WANT that Wolfy onmiyoji! But my credit card company refuses to accept charges from Korea, and my US dealer (FabricFriends) says it's an exclusive collaboration with Dolk (Thai company?) so they won't sell her one for me...

The Kappa is really unique, I just don't have a valid reason to get him.
Instead I just ordered Fenny as I have a character to fill. The agony of choices, right? At least Corni, my third choice isn't limited!

 

Well, I *think* I've managed to snag my Wolffy onmiyoji -- after three attempts, and two separate long multi-person calls to the credit card service people, PayGate says "Your payment has been processed successfully!"

On the other hand, after more than 24 hours, I've yet to hear back from Luts. Nothing confirming my order, nothing rejecting it either. Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes for them to respond to a buyer? Or should I be pestering them myself?

 

Finally dug up my password, and left a question on the board. Luts *did* get my order, so I should have a Wolffy sometime around early March.

The whole incident has reminded me how LUCKY I am that Iris at Fabric Friends & Dolls is such a great dealer!

 

Congrats @Anne Laurie that Wolffi Onmyoji is so cool, I've been considering to get him myself... Although I already do have a Wolffy, Samzang.

Has anyone asked Luts if they would be willing to have some kind of order period for limited edition Zuzu delfs as "basics" where customers can optionally purchase them with a face up, blushing and being able to pick a different skintone (similar to Iplehouse's doll choice system)?

I really like Bull, Mong, the pigs and Wolfy, but I always paint my own dolls and I hate spending money on fullsets that I don't want or plan to use.

Do you guys think this would be a reasonable suggestion to make?

 

I think exactly like you and I even share yhe love for those sculpts.
I asked LUTS that a long time ago in the Q&A and they gave me a clear no. Limited dolls are limited and fullset for them.
