So, we were having some chats about organizing what clothes fit, etc for our Zuzus. Mods, if this thread is in the wrong place or inappropriate, do your thing. Please list items purchased either from sellers on the marketplace or other places, since the idea is to compile places to purchase outfits. If you have other links you think would be useful, pm them to me and I'll edit the thread to include them. Where to buy a Zuzu Zuzu Delf Discussion Tsukasa's Awesome Measurement Chart: Also located at post #561 here. Please tell us: Where you bought it Company/maker How well did it fit? Anything else you think we should know
Nice! Hopefully we'll get some good reference stuff going so we newbies don't have to ask all the time.
Thank you carmarilla for getting this started. It will be so useful! (now impatiently waiting for Toya....) Definitely hope to contribute in the future. Mme. duBunny
Nice, Zuzus definitely need to share their experience. Not long time ago, when Furuse (DZ Karasutengu) stole Maki's clothes, she was not gloomy, but paid back: Where you bought it Company/maker: Dollzone How well did it fit? Shorter, for DZ BB16 dolls it's a long robe, but fit. I'm adding more info; will send you the whole chart soon.
My little kito is wearing : Shirt(bratz boy shirt) Where you bought it: ebay Company/maker : Bratz How well did it fit? The lenght is excellent and it close with a velcro on the back so no head removal necesary. Pants(barbie capri) Where you bought it: got them from my friend Company/maker: Barbie How well did it fit? These are snug fit on the bottom(he can sit well however). Makes putting the magnet tail a bit harder. I quite like them however =)
He looks so nice, charmyc. Envious of the clothes. Can't show them to my Zuzus or they would make fuss how come they do not have any new clothes. And question about Blythe / Pullip's tops, they should fit, right? I have seen clothes from Virusdoll and their [not only] jackets are great (some of their photos here). If they fit, I really would like to get any.

Aikokurobara: she looks wonderful in a kimono! crazykimochi: love the pictures. She looks so different in all of them. Will definitely check-out the PullipStyle. Love those outfits! Mme. duBunny
Oh btw, those are Pullips, not Blythe! Also, my information may be a bit misleading~ PullipStyle only sells whole & brand-new dolls! ;3
Thanks, crazykimochi. To be honest, I'm not really familiar with those dolls, but they were real fun at DP6 and the clothes were great. I may email Virusdoll and ask what the clothes size is. Measurements data for Pullip Second body (source here): Tall: 32cm (with head) Girth of head: 24cm Girth of neck: 4cm Shoulder width: 4.4cm Girth of chest: 11.5cm Girth of waist: 8cm Girth of hip: 11cm Length of "shoulder to wrist": 7.8cm Length of back: 4.5cm Length of leg: 13.2cm Foot: 2.9cm
Ah yes, Pullips were my past hobby for years, so I know a great deal about them. Also, be wary when you buy an outfit from a Type 4 body Pullip, they are super skinny!

Nice, Jinnithan, and it solves my question where Maki's new trousers are from. They are the same, but the YoSD size. And here are some shops that sell small clothes and shoes. I'm yet to dig into them more, but some may be ok: Deb's Adorables Juju's Dolly Mall
Ah! Your size looks like they would work better, the small pair I tried is so Tight! I'm still looking at those two links, I wish they were more specific with size! ( Unless I'm looking at it wrong.. D: ) I'm going to later in this month, Order a Hoodie a size bigger from MoC like the Dark Bunny one, How short it was kinda bugs me. It's okay if an Under Shirt is under it, or if you like short Hoodies, But I like big hoodies, personally. ( Although the Yellow Panda hoodie was rather nice, I just snapped a thread to the hood when I was pulling it over the S Hook, amongst it getting caught on other threads like crazy. )
This website, Parabox, looks promising, they have clothes for 21-23cm dolls. That could work better than YoSD ones. And not only clothes, check the accessories as well, it's nice. I'd like to see the Dark Bunny outfit in YoSD size on Zuzu, or any other outfits from them, too. The shorts worked quite well, sure they are baggy, but still fit, so have high expectation for the others.
Has anyone tried any YoSD or Lati sized dollheart outfits on Zuzus? I kinda thought it would be hilarious to have a pirate bunny, but the measurements area liiittle close. Any thoughts?
A pirate bunny would be awesome! Alas, the girl is still not home yet so I'm not helpful... (Patience -> not my virtue. Heehee...) Mme. duBunny
Ok, what we've got here: 1) Raphael's short and long sleeves T-shirts. No need to remove heads, the T-shirts have openings at the back. 2) Sunny Wonderful World, T-shirt/shorts and dress/shorts. Again, no need to remove heads, have openings at the back. Haru’s outfit here. Maki’s dress here, but you need to ask for 26cm size not for the Lati Yellow size. The Lati Yellow size doesn't fit at all (already tried before).
Has anyone tried clothes for Lati Yellow special (ie the 19cm Latis - bigger than the regular LY and much smaller than the Lati Greens)? It strikes me as they should fit. I have some Lati Yellow sp clothes but no zuzu - yet. I am interested in ordering one of the new special anniversary ones, and it would be great if she could share her wardrobe with one of my existing dolls.
Quick questions to those in the know: What size wig/shoes will fit the Zuzu's? Am I safe with YoSD in general? Yes, they need new shoes. *sigh* Mme. duBunny
I"m wondering the same thing, actually. I"m ordering some stuff for my msd girls since Alice's Collections is having a great sale and free shipping, and I'm trying to decide if I ought to order some yo-sd stuff Iincluding shoes) on the off chance it'll fit with a little modification. (Why is everything called modding for me now?! It's altering, altering! *head desk*) My little one wears 6/7 just fine (I put a 7/8 on her for fun and it was hilariously large), but I'm thinking that since the bunnies have kind of weird shaped heads they could probably pull of 5/6, but I don't have any to check right now.
The posting for the new Truffles says the wigs is Honey Delf size -- which means 6/7. If a 5/6 was stretchy it might work as I think zuzus are closer to 6.5 than to 7 in general. But I don't have one of their bunnies (wish I did!!) so I can't be sure it would work on them. Could you now make your own wig? There are a number of wonderful tutorials in the workshop general thread -- including some for wool wigs which would allow for an easy customization in/around bunny ears.
Ha ha....great minds think alike! Heehee...modding is just fine! Gamer genes in our blood, I say. I'm a little weary of Yo-SD sized shoes. They sent me a pair for the event gift (wrong size fail, I told 'em I can't use any other sizes as I don't have other dolls! *headdesk* Oh well, iz freebies.) and I'm going to get rid of 'em. The measurements listed are different than their usual Zuzu shoes so I'm going to stay away for now. Also, I have a personal weird thing against red shoes. Prolly scarred by Wizard of Oz re-runs. Heehee... Ooh...thank you. Good to know. Umm....theoretically yes but it's not high on my to-do list....heehee... Maybe another time. I'm all about instant-grat wigs right now as am already on the hook to make a few padded pouches (They were sliding around in the original boxes and I want something more portable for future meet-ups), re-paint a carrying case, and some underwear.... Of course, the thing I'm most excited about is the least useful -> the underwear. *sheepish grin* Mme. duBunny
They sent me zuzu sized shoes, fortunately, and a 6/7 wig with a weird cap inside (it's kinda crap quality, but it's adorable, her little pink one). She definitely needs more shoes. I want platform mary janes or something for her.
I can contribute!! I have no pics atm, but here's the info: I bought a Moxie Gurlz outfit just to test it out, and it's a super close fit. I'm talking, the pants can almost button (they meet at the magnet for her tail) and she cannot sit in them. My plan is to add a little piece of fabric back there and they'll do fine for the most part. The top was similar. It needs a bit of fabric to make it slightly larger. From the front, it looks really good and you can't tell it doesn't close all the way. I will be looking for other cuter outfits to buy from them. The outfit I bought has a little camisole looking top with pink shiny pants. Next, I figured I'd try one of those Tinkerbelle The Great Fairy Rescue doll fairy outfits, because it was on clearance. XD Again, looks nice from the front but there's no way in hell it would close in the back. My plan is to cut it down the back, add some fabric and different velcro, and it'll look very cute! Once the alterations are made to the outfits, I'll post so you can see. My girl also got a nice pink and black Barbie couch, which is adorable. That set is marvelously in scale. I love it!
I went traveling a bit again and found a small bjd shop in Taipei (Summersister; stop by if you have a chance --> here). They had some Blythe clothes on sale (a pack for less than 11usd), so I gave it a try and the result is ~ Blythe clothes (dress, shirt, T-shirt, shorts) fit Zuzu perfectly. The only things that doesn’t fit are long trousers, Blythe’s legs are obviously too long, and hats/caps. Long sleeves are actually ok.
Forgot to mention: I recently experimented w/changing the girls' eyes and found their sockets(?) to be accommodating for both 14mm and 16mm eyes even tho the latter looks a little wide/staring-at-you-ish. Pics to come... Mme. duBunny
More YoSD size clothes and also comparison of Zuzu feet vs 1/6 size shoes. The YoSD size tops are workable as dress, looks quite cute on Zuzus. The trousers are shorter for YoSD (mid calf for YoSD). 1/6 size shoes are definitely no-go for Zuzus, too big. I've changed Persi's eyes from 14mm to 16mm and they look better/cuter imo. My Lio is keeping his default 14mm eyes though.
Thank you so much for sharing your results. I'm disappointed but not at all surprised that the 1/6 shoes are too large. To that end, I think some of the Hujoo Berry sized shoes might actually work. Will report back when I get my paws on a pair. I agree the 16mm eyes can be so cute depending on the colours. I'm glad the sockets take both. I'm making new ZDF sized outfits and hope to post pictures soon. They certainly are a weird in-between size to shop for. Mme. duBunny
Cannot resist a little zuzu clothing spam... The closures are trickiest. Otherwise they come together v. quickly. The eyes are still 14mm but much lighter than the originals. Pics to come when I swap them out for darker/larger ones. Mme. duBunny
Does anybody know if 'Re-ment' clothes fit Zuzu? They look so nice (example link here). And because I have some more tiny doll clothes around to try, here we continue. Haru: M3 Studio shorts, YoSD size. Maki: Unknown maker, TaKara Licca doll's dress. Seconded. If anybody makes their own clothes, sharing patters would be nice. So for those who can make their own clothes, here are some sewing patterns. Blythe should fit Zuzu. @Comtesse duBunny: Nice bunnies.
I've been wondering that! I've seen that little nurse outfit pop up on ebay and I'd love to buy it for my Fenny. Maybe I'll take one for the team and order it to see!
@rainbow dash & @Tsukasa: I too saw the Rement clothes at the store and they looked a tad on the small side. (My girls don't have detachable paws so getting sleeved outfits on is always a pain.) However, I can fully endorse some of their props and furniture at 1/6-ish! Re: patterns: alas, my friends, I'm also often asked the same quest. by my costuming buddies and the truth is, I'm one of those weirdos who drape everything w/o a pattern. Brain no wired in flat-pattern techniques. Heh heh. They are really all variations of a basic tube w/one seam in the back (overlapped for about 3" from the top to accommodate closures). Maybe I'll get off my lazy butt and write a drape-your-zuzu-easy-way post in the future. Thank you all (on behalf of the bunnies) for the compliments. They're now screaming for bustle dresses. *headdesk* Mme. duBunny
If you make bustle dresses I will die. I want to make one too. Tutorial!!!!! Mel is demanding (which is her way of begging without losing her attitude) one.
*giggle* Dear Mel, You might have heard from your bunny friends that there may be bustle dresses in the future. This is true, but the emphasis is on 'future' (as we're still trying to figure out the closures *dokh*). If you start behaving well and be nice to @camarilla, we may be able to work out something with Santa. If you're naughty tho.... Your friend, duBunny
I recently test-drove a bunch of different ready-to-wear products for my Zuzu Delf Toya with mixed results. Hopefully, these reviews will be useful to other Zuzu lovers, who, like me, may be somewhat confused by their awkward in-between-standard doll size. This first installment is about a wig... Product Experiment - 7" Wig Brand: Dollspart Product: 01016 , c/p Long Curl Size: 7" Colour: L. Brown Composition: 100% Kanekalon Pros: - the curls are really nicely set - 'light' brown isn't so light but I love how it contrasted w/her lighter faceup - size issue is fixable by taking in about 3/8" of the headsize elastic Cons: - wig cap is definitely too loose; wig refuses to stay on (I had to take the photo w/her lying down.) - there's clearly a gap at the forehead so too much skull is showing - taking in the headsize elastic is not a trivial operation b/c the joint is at the temples, not center back - I like Kanekalon ok for my own wigs but its texture cannot be compared w/the oh-so-softness of synthetic mohair I will definitely stick with 6-7's in the future. It's just too much trouble to bother given how easy 6-7's are to find. Mme. duBunny
Product Experiment - Yo-SD 1/6 aka Hujoo Berry Sized Shoes Brand: Monique Product: 756 Elegant Mary Size: 38mm Colour: black and pink Composition: vinyl(?) Pros: - So far, this is as close to the official Luts shoes in terms of size as I could find (I went by the mm measurements listed at Luts.) - Affordable - a third of the price of the original. - They are really cute! - Saving grace: They are okay if the dolls are wearing stockings and with the straps, they do not fall off even tho they are clearly too long and too high. Width okay. (See above: first and third pictures, left foot had nylon, right foot was bare.) Cons: - About 1cm too long and 3mm too high (See above, second picture w/feet next to black shoes) - As @Tsukasa mentioned earlier, 1/6 shoes are actually too large for these guys. So I suspect even the official shoes are too large to begin with. - That said, I've found that not all 1/6 Yo-SD shoes are the same size. *grrrr* These are as little as they come. I've also measured their feet directly and found them to be approx: 2cm widest part of foot 3cm overall length 1.5cm from heel to ankle 0.5cm height of instep So....the next experiment is to go find even smaller shoes that better accommodate these measurements. Wish me luck! Mme. duBunny
Product Experiment - 14mm and 16mm Glass Eyes Brand: Glasaugen and off-brand unknown from Ebay Product: glass eyes Size: 14mm, 16mm Colour: various Composition: glass The first picture compares the spectacular realistic Glasaugen eyes with flat-backed off-brand. Not only do the German ones come in a real nice storage case, they are definitely of higher quality and fully spherical. However, they're only available in humanly-possible colours since they were originally meant for other human dolls. The second picture shows a selection of purple/red/pink eyes I bought off-brand off Ebay. These are not stunningly beautiful but do their job nicely. The flat back actually makes them much easier to install/reposition than the sphericals. However, the colour selection is pretty much endless. Definitely the way to go if you want a rainbow of non-humanly-possible colours. The third picture compares 14mm (left) and 16mm (right) eyes of the same make and colour. They both fit into the socket just fine. There's more coverage and a larger pupil area for the 16mm. Not a substantial difference but they do result in slightly different expressions. The 14mm appears to be looking up whereas the 16mm appears to be looking outward. However, the 16mm pretty much covers up most of the socket so I doubt any larger size will work on her face. No pros/cons this time, I love them all! Mme. duBunny p.s. The next installment will discuss the Rement Girly Style ready-to-wear fashions!
Product Experiment - Rement Girly Style Outfit Brand: Rement Product: Girly Style - Petit Mode Collection (casual two-piece outfit) Size: n/a Colour: pink t-shirt, purple/white checkered faux-wrap skirt Composition: cotton knit t-shirt, cotton w/stablized backing skirt Package Exterior This is one of three Rement Petit Mode collection. From the looks of it, this would be the summer casuals collection whilst there's also the winter casuals and some uniforms. Interesting concept. I love how they labelled it "made with cloth" (pink label w/yellow writing on the left side) so it's definitely not going to be some plastic oufit. Ha ha. The Product Inside Exactly as represented on box. Awesome. I should note here that I got extremely lucky with this one b/c I bought it from a store unopened. The annoying thing about these gashapon toys is the random-in-box so it's impossible to tell which one I'm getting unless I ordered it from a seller who's opened the box already (thus often charging more for known-content). I don't mind all the other outfits but the bunny t-shirt is what I really-really-really wanted. Win! Maria Luisa Modelling the Outfit The t-shirt is pretty long on her with some weird shoulder/neck action. And the skirt is really tight on the belly and the thighs. Frankly, they are a shade too small on her. The Back - Too Small! Whereas the t-shirt is stretchy so getting through the paws wasn't an issue, the skirt is clearly far too tight and narrow. The back has a 3/8" gap where the velcro is and the wrapped-tube style restricts her posability. The Back - After Alteration Well, I wasn't going to let that minor detail stop me! Luckily, they didn't skimp on the fabric in the skirt and it's a true-wrap where the front is fully overlapped. That gives me plenty of room (about 1") to futz with. I took off the two decorative buttons, moved the lapped-front to as far as feasible without exposing the thighs, then took a dart on either side to take up the excess at the waist. Like all sewing, it sounds a lot more complex than it really is. Took 5 mins. tops and I have a skirt that fits and flares. Taadaaah! Final Thoughts: So......I would revise my original forecast to say Rement outfits (that are often advertised as fitting Blythe dolls) are generally at the right scale. It's probably a proportions issue that made parts of the outfit too small for these girls. I'd say go right ahead if the one(s) you want are stretch knits. Proceed with caution if they're going to be some non-stretchy material as it's hard to tell whether they can be altered to fit just from the stock photos. All in all a really good bang for the buck! Mme. duBunny
Thanks for reporting! I did end up ordering that Rement nurse outfit. Luckily I know someone who sews so if it's too small, it should be easy to fix! Buuuuut I still have a large chunk of time to wait until my doll even gets here, so I won't be able to post my own various findings for some time.
Oh, the nurse outfit would be so cute on Fenny! Hope she gets home soon. I'm tempted by the maid outfit now....ooops. Mme. duBunny
So! She's here! The nurse outfit unfortunately doesn't fit for two reasons: 1) Gypsy's rear end is too big since the velcro only opens halfway up the dress and 2) Small hand holes do not work for huge paws. I'll see if my sewing friend can do some adjustments. BUT! I do have a great rec! Where you bought it: Ebay Company/maker: Cool Cat Collections How well did it fit? Pretty much perfectly. Anything else you think we should know: It was made for Blythe dolls, but the velcro opening on the back goes ALL the way down the dress, and the stretchy fabric means her paws easily fit through. I really like this store and will certainly be purchasing more from them. They have all kinds of clothes and they're all very inexpensive!
I have two new dresses coming soon for Piper (zuzu delf truffle) I hope they will fit her and I will post pictures too. Yay!
Blythe clothes once more; perfect fit for Zuzus. Apart from the green overall (unknown maker) and the black shorts (Sunny Wonderful World), there are all from Somedoll shop. http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac357/Tsukasa_DoA/DoA/Clothes/Zuzu_Blythe_clothes.jpg
Hurray for the proliferation of Blythe clothes! Golly, I absolutely adore her straight red wig! Mme. duBunny
I'm excited about Blythe clothes. I really need to get some for Mel. She's been very good lately. I think she'll be happy to be the one spoiled for a change. I used a free Blythe pattern to make her a shirt, and I did have to alter it slightly to make it easier to get over her dang paws. I also made her a leather pleat skirt, and she seems satisfied...for now.
Adding one shop for possibly Zuzu fitting clothes - TTYA (Blythe clothes here.) Got it from Happy Camille; now trying a similar one but short. A photo to come soon.
Anyone tried blythe pants? I didn't know TTYA did blythe so it totally interest me for my boy.(it is so much harder to shop for boy in zuzu =X)
{more pictures forthcoming} The following things from CoolCat on ebay: Black and pink striped Blythe socks: Super freaking cute. A bit snug around the feet when accommodating paws, go right up to the knee. Tend to get stuck in her joints, but I love them. Striped pink and black long-sleeved top: This is cute, but the sleeves are impossible to get over her paws. Had to remove them to get it on, so it's going to be staying on for awhile. It is a bit bulky around the shoulder area. Fits snuggly. Very cute! Black trousers: Haven't tried these on quite yet, but they're stretchy and I'm sure they're going to fit fine. Fishnet Knee Socks: Super cute. These are YoSD size, so they go up quite a bit higher than her knees, but I bought them for that reason. Black t-shirt- perfect fit! Lace T-shirt (pink with white lace around the bottom): Another adorable, perfect fit! Blythe clothes are great options for Zuzus. I'm definitely going to be searching for more, particularly in the goth-lolli style. I'll try to post pics whenever I get some time. Oh and fyi, they combined shipping for me and I think I paid maybe $25 for the whole lot. Not too bad!
cool cat shirt fit nice and snug only thing is the velcro gets in the way of the tail magnet. So I had to leave it open a bit. Question for everyone. What do you use for pants? With two boys I really need to keep them clothed =D Anyone can confirm that blythe pants work well? with pictures if possible =D especially not stretchy
The shoes labeled "Hujoo Berry" will probably be narrow. The tighter fitting styles only have 13mm of width. The 38mm size that Comtesse duBunny tested doesn't come in a lot of styles but, as well as the Elegant Mary Jane Shoes (756), they also come in Girl Dress Shoes (733) [scaloped edge MJs], Sporty Shoes (730) [Sneakers] and Fancy Slip-On Shoes (761) [Slip ons with bows]. I dug through all the shoes looking for that size when I was trying to shoe a different doll XD Boneka makes some 35mmx20mm shoes, or at least they DID. I don't know if they are out of stock or what.
