Your most expensive doll

I guess the most would be for my Soom Io, who was $900. I got his two heads, one with a Soom faceup, along with his Lion mask. I have since sold both of his heads for a healthy sum, but will be keeping the mask...too cool to not keep. XD

 

My incoming Volks SDGr Okita. I won't be paying him off til he's ready to be shipped, but with shipping he'll be just a bit over $1200. Considering he's fullset, its not that bad I guess, but I must admit that the the SDGr's hefty price tag almost scared me off. I couldn't resist Okita's pretty, boyish look -- but that fancy body of his had darn well better be worth the extra! xD

 

My most expensive doll was my first bjd LE Thistle Lusion Dahlia. I bought the full set including body blushing which was about 1700 or so. I need to learn to body blush that would save me some money . I love her and I would buy her all over again. She is gorgeous!

My most expensive doll so far is a unoa 1.5, although I have just bought a MSD Margaret SWD kit (http://www.angelden.net/volks/school/margaretsd.php ) for a mere 30,000 yen (not joking: http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-329989.html ), so it was quite the deal for a Volks school doll.

Suigintou.

Especially since I started the layaway for her right when the economy bubble burst. I ended up paying around $4000CDN for her in the end.

 

My most expensive doll would be my Soom MD Afi. I got her blank from Soom, with a different wig and it cost me $438,- including shipping. After that I didn't allow myself to buy any dolls for 6 months, to replenish my savings
I'm just lucky I don't fall for the bigger dolls, they would cost way too much for me...

 

My most expensive doll isn't a BJD...
but out of my BJD's I have a Lati doll that I paid $650 for.
She also happens to be the one that is the most valuable to me, so in that way she is priceless.

 

I'm currently saving to dive head-first into the Volks FCS system for my next doll. Even though I'm only intending to keep the head, the noggin alone is going to be more than I paid for my Elfdoll June. I think it'll be around $450 US without shipping? And I paid $400 before shipping for Sydney.

But I love the sculpt, and I'm saving slowly with small chunks of money, so I'm not really feeling like I'm scrimping to do whatever else needs to be done in my life. He already has a body waiting for him, so I won't need to worry about him floating when he (eventually) gets here, either.​

 

I only have the one, and it was $300. Anything more than that would feel like a waste of money to me, to be honest.

 

I have two...the original Shiro Tachibana and Soom Sard, both of which i *cough* spent over $2000 for. I love them both dearly and there's no way i would regret buying either one of those gorgeous boys

 

We just brought a Mui Chan and she cost us $300 and she is currently our most expensive doll. All our other dolls are blythes or liccas and we have gotten relatively good deals on!

 

My most expensive is my boy, Kyoharu. $627. I don't ever plan to spend more, if I ever do get a 2nd doll. lol

I've only had four dolls but my most expensive is my second Hound; he's a V.2 with whiteskin and he was 1200. That's the most money I've ever spent on anything for myself that didn't have wheels! Not even my tower or laptop was that much.

 

I paid $770 for my Special ElfDoll Tasha fullset. I love her the most out of my doll's but that's not because of her price. She was my dream from the moment I laid eyes on her preview picture.

 

My most expensive was my SD17 Williams full set + extra sword and some other extras from the cruise. I got him right after people started listing him on Y!J, and had to wait awhile for Volks to ship them out so the seller can send to me later. My next expensive doll was a full set Hikaru Genji from E-bay, which was also listed right after he was released and also had to wait 2-3 months for Volks to ship them out. Both dolls together is over $5000.

What were my thoughts when I bought them? Well Hikaru Genji I really wanted him so I figure that was the only way for me to get him quickly. Williams I sort of bought on impulse because I was debating on whether I need so many Williams or not, and then I got tired of thinking and just click buy. I regretted it after. ^^

 

Aria cost me around $850-some through Volks FCS (if I remember correctly) and my second most expensive doll was my very first, a Luts Delf Yder straight from the company, and he cost me exactly $660. Unless I somehow get crazy rich, I doubt I would be getting any dolls more expensive than these two.

 

i think i paid 500.00 (second hand) for IH Jessica fullset and sold her for 1200.00 in about a month of having her.
I was so shocked. I listed her on ebay and the bids started popping up like crazy.
The most i paid for a doll my self, was Soom MA Saiph. She came with clothes and eyes.

A Dollshe though, good choice! That's the only doll I would consider spending a lot on, because the bodies are just amazing. To me, the sculpting and engineering of the body has to be really worth the price. It's just so much bigger and more complicated than the head. XD;; I feel like the body is what I'm really paying for. I would never pay a ton for a head, no matter how gorgeous.

 

My Volks Jun Tachibana. I paid just under $2000Cdn for her. After that would be my Volks Shiro Tachibana and Luts Delf-Art Freyja Miyu at $1300Cdn each.

But I loves them all Jun is one of my dream dolls so I am very happy to have her.

 

I probably paid the most for my Souldoll Hye, I paid $600 for her over a 6 month layaway, which probably amounted to more because of fluctuating exchange rates over that time. I ended up selling her for $550, but I didn't mind.

I do love Volks' SD16 girls, but right now I couldn't pay that much for one, even if I wanted to. Maybe one day!

 

My Soom Glati is my most expensive doll... I got him off the marketplace for $575 and then paid about $60 for his face-up and horn/hoof-blushing, plus he has two wigs... xD

My second mosy expensive was my Homme Ivan, who, from Dream of Doll (with face-up, outfit, and shoes) was $400-something (closer to 500), plus the wig from Luts which was about $30... Okay you get it. xD

 

My volks SD Kurumi was $1500. That is the most I have spent on a single doll. She was full-set at least.

 

My most expensive doll is Mitsu (VOLKS Sara) at $800. It's not much compared to others here, haha, but I'm sure I'll get one in the $1,000s one day! Especially with evil SOOM! >.<

 

I'm new in the BJD world, so my first (and for now only) bjd is the most expensive doll I have. She was $240 so that's ok.

 

my most expensive doll was my CH Bisou Ai because she was a LE Full Set and I got her off ebay without realizing that non fullset dolls were actually on sale for $88 when I dropped $250 on her! that was a BIIIIIG old -headdesk- moment!! xD But I try not to regret. I lubs her :] But now I do more research.

 

The most I've spent on a doll was on my Dollzone Yuu. I got him for $500, which was actually pretty cool, seeing as that's almost $200 less than if I bought him directly from Dollzone, or even Junky Spot! (He was second-hand). And me and my mom have spent an extra $100 for wig, shoes, and an outfit. So pretty much $600 for him alone, and I have two other dolls, both of which were only in the $300 range. I'm still a bit, "Wow...did I really just spend all that money on a doll?" and it's been more than a year since I got him. I have no regrets though, he is definatly worth it :3

 

I spent about $700 (I honestly can't remember) on my limited edition Elfdoll Hyacinth, I have the money and wouldn't buy anything if I didn't.
I guess I am lucky as I now want to buy another very special doll and will pay whatever it takes to get whatever that ends up being.
If I had to think of the price I wouldn't buy.

 

Well, counting the Dolpa ticket required to get him, my Volks White Rabbit will be the most expensive at $543, but he's a fullset, so... it's not THAT bad. Not counting the ticket, my most expensive will be my K-doll Karon/Crobidoll hybrid, at $520 when I finish paying off his body. I don't anticipate paying more than, say, $600 for a doll any time in the next few years... I guess I'm lucky!

 

At the time I bought my DELF Chiwoo with custom Luts faceup he was the most expensive. ($600+)

Since then the prices have dropped so now my SOOM Glati is the most expensive. I paid over $500 for him. I bought the eyes and wig, not faceup or wings or clothes.

 

For the time being, my most expensive are tied - my DZ Shoyo and DZ Fei cost exactly the same amount ($290). They even cost the same amount of shipping. oo;

Van (DZ Shoyo) definitely wins for most expensive, though, because of the clothes. xx; Sooo expensive, even if it's not by some standards (for me, the $23 I spent on Van's one-piece dress is a lot for one article of clothing!). Fai (DZ Fei) is catching up, though - I swear the boy is costing an arm and a leg just in leggings~

My second dollie would have been more expensive, but I got him during a Sale.

My most expensive (For now xP) is my Soom Glati, Envy. He cost me 600~ + shipping + custom fee + some other problems that have nothing to do with the doll but stil exist because of it.... that makes about 700ish xP

And then you have to change that to Canadian... add about 100ish..... that was one expensive doll XD

 

My most expensive doll is my Volks SD13 Tsukasa. Fell in love with lots of Volks dolls after him, but he remains my favorite. And it was through getting him through DoA that I was introduced to other doll companies, and now I really want a SoulDoll Tarot Lev in the future. Anyway, every time I think about getting a doll, I shudder - and it's Tsukasa's fault. I bought him fullset with the limited backpack for over 2000 USD up front. A lot of people thought I fell off my rocker, and at that moment, I might have.

But I don't regret getting him at all since he was what I needed to get over my serious, head case fear of dolls. If you think about it, he costs much less than therapy.

 

Most expensive doll I've ever paid for is definitely a zaoll... which is not really that expensive of a doll, but most expensive out of the two I have purchased. XD

 

Definitely my Soom Cuprit...she was twice as much as my next most expensive doll.

 

There are three in my collection that are 'more than a mortgage payment'. But all three were fullsets bought at retail; if I were to try to buy them now they'd be more.

 

Oh wow, so expensive! I'm so excited, I just bought my first doll for $350! I just know she's worth it.

I am a bit of a cheap O' in comparison, but thats mostly because I try to do everything myself. My most expensive doll would be my most recent.

 

I have expensive tastes, the dolls I own now range in price from $500 (second hand Soom MDs) to $1645 (Volks Soji Okita II).

 

My most expensive was my Souldoll Chiron but now SOOM Chalco has topped him.

 

I think my most expensive is my 1/3 girl. she was close to $400, but she came with everything outfit, wig, eyes, and face-up. my 1/3 boy came with nothing but eyes and he was about $200.

 

It used to be my Luts msd at $360 +$50 customs... then along came the limited Angelheim Kozy, who wound up costing me almost $600 between the tan option, and all his limited parts. Every now and then I still look at him sitting next to the rest of my guys and think how despite him being the same size, he was still as expensive as much as any two of my others combined. Totally worth it though.

 

soom dolls are pretty expensive i think. it's not volks though.. thanks god i didn't fall in love with them xD so my most expensive doll was soom Heliot.

My most expensive doll was Volks SD17 Hijikata (about 195000yen without shipping, customs fee and auction agent fee) and the fact he insisted to get such expensive accessoires (I had to buy Volks SDGr Okita for him). I'm so broke now!!!!!

 

I spent more than $1800 on my Tsukasa Konoe.He's my most expensive doll.

 

Lol I love that Okita was an accessory for him! My Luna (the most expensive girl I have right now) has decided she needs an accessory as well...a FCS MSD F16 lol.

 

My most expensive doll was my second BJD purchase I actually made it today :^) I just pre-ordered a Unoa Lusis. The next doll down in cost was wayyyy down from her. I would have paid for for a Lusis if I had to since she is my dream doll and I only intend to have the one.

 

My costliest doll is Volks Kohya. I was lucky to get him for less than a grand on DoA Marketplace; Kohyas don't seem common, nor appear often on the aftermarket.
