My Soom Ignim (won't be here until May 2013) is so far the most expensive. With her extras, wigs, clothes she was over $1300. Before her I paid $900 for an aftermarket Luna Tamer with human and chimera parts. But I am glad I have both of them. The first "expensive" doll I purchased was an off-topic and after market Kaye Wiggs Blue Koneko. She was $840. I recently saw one on eBay for over $1300 so I am glad I got her when I did. I really really want an off-topic porcelain Enchanted Doll by Marina Bychkova but unless I win the lottery that will never happen. (They can be as much as $27,000)
All of my dolls are classed as 'inexpensive' when bought blank, but after six years I have an entire large box full of things for Cesavier so...
My Asleep Eidolon Mermaid and Merman were my two most expensive dolls (each being over 1,000) but I just got my Dollmore Lusion Secret Garden Dahlia and since she was over 2,000 she's become my most expensive doll.
Dollzone Anson, at $450 blank, plus $70 for the set of arms that I'm only using half of... so, $520 for a mini... an absolutely fantastic and unique mini that I love, though.
My Spiritdoll proud in tan was the most expensive one. He was my layaway. When i ended the layaway at last (i paid it in 2 months to the company and 4 months i gave back my friends the money i had borrowed for that)) ) i thought 'i'll never make layaway again. never never never never... I think, i have very good friends. They support my hobby and are ready to give me such huge sums of money!!!
Hmm it's a face-off between my Sabik and Havelock... Sabik's price rocketed when I added seam sanding and jointed hands... and a spare SG head... ...Havelock has worked out at ~$700... so far but I've not got anything for him yet! I bought his head 1st, then found the dikadoll 5-part body, and then decided that as an assassin Lord Vetinari needs jointed hands too... So I think Sabik... but if you don't count the essential "whole second doll!" possibly Havelock Eh! Thus far my doll prices have oscillated wildly...
The most expensive doll I've bought so far is my Thistle Dahlia for 1932.00. She takes my breath away, and I would buy her all over again!!
My most expensive one is my newest, Saber Alter version 2 for $1300. She was the first doll I've ever bought on layaway and was by far the most stressful to get. But I don't regret it at all.
My Dollzone Cosmo is my most expensive doll $650 after face up and he is my first purchase still waiting for him my first doll I have in my possession was a second hand doll much cheaper
Hmmm. A tossup between my Soom Zinc and my new Benmore. I think Benmore beat out Zinc by like a hundred bucks or so, but they were both in the $1000 range.
My Unoa Lusis was 750$ when I bought her, which makes her the most expensive of my current dolls. Although my recent MNF Chloe cost me dearly as well - I paid her normal price from Fairyland (around 450$ including shipping) plus over 200$ worth of customs fees. Bloody customs! I am waiting on a Soom Chrom head that will need a body in the near future as well. He has the potential to become my priciest doll ever, because he is my first SD-sized one. My wallet is already shaking in terror!
my most expensive is my fairyskin unoa zero (which im still waiting on to get here) she was 1,600 @.@
My most expensive would be my most recent purchase. He's a Littlefee Shiwoo basic doll. With him, his wig, and clothes I got to go with him, he cost me $487. I do plan on spending more on a doll (my dream boy) but that won't be for quite some time. ^.^'
Well, I only have one girl right now and she cost me about $400 after all the taxes and stuff. Even still, compared to the other ones I want, she's super cheap. Like half the price of my dream doll(s).
My most expensive doll is volks sweet dream nana, she was cost over 800pounds (not include the tax).
Mine will be my Iplehouse Eric (currently on layaway) who is costing around $880 without wig, cloths etc...
Currently its a tie, but soon one will be more than the other lol. Its between my two LE dolls, DM White Vert Reaa and Luts Blue Knight Commander Abadon. Abadon currently is just a head and his armored parts, but as soon as he gets a body and sword hands he'll be well over $600, around $700 without eyes or wig and shipping not calculated.
I have a couple of very rare larger fashion dolls that would easily go for $300 a pop if I actually sold them. (Never would. They are from my favorite doll series, ever, and you'd have to pry them from my cold, dead hands to get them from me!) Most of my dolls were not that expensive $125 tops. My 3 resins will have run about $400 by the time I have my Dollmore heads for them. But I'll have only paid for the the 2 sets of heads for those. My family bought me the Miro bodies as a gift.
My Volks Michele Summer Night's Phantom fullset. I don't even want to say how much he was, but with the stupid shopping fees and the insane amount of shipping (the box...it was so big I could have shipped myself in it) he was about twice what my next most expensive doll was. *dies* Totally worth it though
My most expensive was my B&G Sky at a little over $500. My DELF Arwen is a close 2nd at just under $500. If I ever do get my hands on a Mecha Angel, that will top both of them for sure.
That hands down goes to my dream doll, a Dream of Doll Dream of Teenager E-an, who came in at just over $600 including shipping (of note, that's almost $750 local currency). She is worth every cent of that, I love her dearly.
My most expensive would have to be my DDdy. Her body I got in a 900 split for 350 and her head was 40-50. Next would have to be my DZ Annie who was 290 with a faceup...but I got her outfit free so no complaints.
I guess my most expensive doll is Luts SSDF Dew. It costed me $663.24 with shipping and even more, cuz I took a credit to buy him. It is also the most expensive of my dolls, taking into account the cost of his clothes, which were sewn to order.
My most expensive doll was my Volks SD16 Megu fullset--but because I bought her at the Volks store in LA, I luckily avoided shipping fees. She was a little over $1,000 before tax. (Actually, my HZ Xiaohan Egypt set was about the same, but I believe Meritities was more expensive after tax!) Meri was so worth it--I bought her a twin sister recently, too. She started me on a very dangerous path for loving Volks...lol. Since then, the SD16 Megu set has gone up in value quite a bit, so she's definitely my most expensive--and will probably stay that way!
It's either Yugiri (as I don't remember how much he was) orr my current doll on Layaway ( which is almost 800 ;;; )
My most expensive doll at the moment is my Soom fullset Amber: Pure Spirit. She was a restoration of sorts, but because she's back to her original condition for the most part she's worth around $1000 give or take. The most expensive doll I've had so far was a Latidoll LE Aida. He was $1100.
I just ordered a minifee, once I added all the parts needed to make her character it came to just $708. This doesn't include any wigs or clothing
I would have to say it's my Volks SDGr Minoru Kamimura at over $1300 which I was lucky enough to have been able to get at the Volks store in Torrence, CA.
my most expensive doll cost me 489.00 dollars and she is a Dollpire Kid Girl - Awesome Black : Sona - LE20 from dollmore she was and is my dream doll
My SDGr Ryoya complete fullset (with limited uniform, etc). $2000 not including shipipng, new faceup, etc.
My most expensive doll is Volks SD17 Hijikada, and I am the second owner. The price is almost $2000, and I can't believe I managed to pay for it.
My most expensive was my dream girl, my SDC Kaede (around $650, not including shipping etc). She is still every bit as wonderful as the golden day she came home.
My most expensive doll? My FL LTF, Wiishu. He was free, but if he hadn't been given to me, I might never have made the leap of getting into the hobby, and I wouldn't have spent over $2000 on Morgaine, Vanye, Pooki and Wiishu's backup, not to mention all the Stuff, like extra hands, faceplates, fabric, a new sewing machine when I thot mine had died in the middle of a PR challenge, and the time spent on his outfits and photostories. OTOH, in the $/hr fun quotient...he's the best buy ever! The first time I laid out nearly $1000 for M&V, I felt physically sick. I'm usually pretty frugal with money, esp on anything that's a personal hobby, (as opposed to the household hobby of our garden) and wasn't sure it was going to be worth it. I just knew I was fascinated by the CLines and that FL was going to quit making them, so if I was going to get them, I had to act ASAP. I was still in the honeymoon stage with Wiishu (heck, I still am) but I couldn't let the decision wait. I'm not sorry I did it, but it was hard to press the paypal button. It's been almost a year, and I'm only now really starting to get to know them, only because time is limited and Wiishu will eat up every second I give him. So...I guess you could say Wiishu cost me about $2000.00...and was worth every cent times a million.
My most expensive doll would be the Luts Delf EL doll, who is bought second hand, I think I am the second or third owner, sadly not sure about this part. But I realy think he was worth it. : ) I am happy to have found him, since he is sold out on the Luts site.
My most expensive doll was going to be a Dollmore Lusion Dahlia but now it is a Dollmore Trinity Lumie. With the Australian dollar taking a tumble Lumie's total price including seam sanding made her total almost $3500 AU. Luckily for me they are both presents or I could never afford them
My most expensive doll was is Soom Benmore, coming to over $1000 USD. But I just bought Dollmore Trinity Lumiere. She came to nearly $3000 USD. Most I've ever dropped on a single doll, but she'll be well worth it. Now I just have to wait for her to show up!
My most expensive is a Soom Shoshon, which second hand was $850 plus shipping. I still can't believe I spent so much on a doll. @.@
Mine is my most recent buy, a Fairyland Minifee Juri 2008 with B-line body in WS! She's my grail~ I spent $600 plus shipping on her which I feel really lucky to pay for! ;3;
So far it's my Soom Wave.... I laid down over $600 on her full set. My Angell Studio Kana (sp) came really close though!
Most expensive doll bought new - toss-up between IH Dexter & Idealian Hyperon ($1400 for each). However I'm getting a Volks Ryoma Sakamoto fullset (pretty much paid for) on the MP - $1900+ ~sigh~ Mind the IH & Idealian were NOT FS dolls so all 3 are basically about the same price for just the doll... I so would have gotten Rex if only I'd won the lottery...
So far, my most expensive doll is one I haven't even gotten yet - Loongsoul Farkas. I never thought I would pay that much for a doll, and I'm pretty sure if any one IRL knew that I had, I would never hear the end of it. I just hope that when he gets home I love him, that's the hardest part about spending that much...is wondering with all the photoshopped pictures and artfully arranged posing...if it will translate to real life or if there will be something weird and frustrating about the way he is made that will make it hard to bond to him. I hope not!
Most expensive doll is my HZ LE Wang Ye, with some additional clothes. His total is around $1300, with the additional items. The two dollmore dolls I'm getting together come close, but this is for single most expensive doll, and that would be him then, my darling Anubis.
I only own one single BJD Doll and the nude model cost me $140. I also have several Monster High dolls that I've been collecting since it started, but my most expensive doll would have to be the BJD Doll. Hands down even with the most rare Monster High Dolls being sold for $70 on Amazon.
One year later, and boy has dolly limit risen higher than I would have ever expected. My boy Asrael a Volks Michelle is going to end up being my most expensive doll to date. I won him for an insanely good price on ebay $500ish, but he was on an SD13 girl body and needed a new face-up, eyes and basically everything. He's getting a SDGr boy body so by the time I've completed him he'll have cost me close to $2000....and I once said I'd never spend over $400 for an SD.
I have only one doll at the moment (and she'll probably be the only one for a long time too) so she's the most expensive by default, my VOLKS SDG Megu (2010 renewal.) I don't regret buying her at all and would do it again without a thought but a few days after I ordered her I did kind of freak out at how much I'd just spent most of the dolls on my wishlist are more expensive than she was though but they're limited and/or FCS dolls I hope never to spend more than I paid for my laptop on any single doll but you never know in this hobby
My most expensive doll is really only the most expensive because of the huge customs charge I had to pay for her: my Granado Sidonia, who should have been (for an SD) a steal because I bought her during an event at launch price... Ah well. I love her. But I have to say, the threat of the customs charge does keep me from buying more expensive dolls :p.
I didnt really spend much money on my dolls, I think the most I spend for 1 doll is 200 euro's (wich is a hell lot of money for me). I do spend a lot of time in my dolls so they look nice, like making their outfits and do their face up.
if i do not count how much i spent on outfits... and just the naked doll itself.. That would be my volks piccolo at $525. I am actually a little upset at myself for spending so much but i had always wanted one since i saw a picture of someones piccolo in a cute outfit and he popped up on the marketplace and so yep. He was basically brand new but since i purchased through DOA marketplace he was technically second hand. . my other ones are around $400 and below. I find it funny that only a few years ago i would have never been able to afford or even considered spending so much on a doll. Guess people change ^^; ( i now own 4)
