Your Dolls' Backstory... In Five Sentences or Less

Azriel (IOS Lacrimosa):
When he was young, he had witnessed his mother killed. Unfortunately, he had been so traumatized and never remembered what had happened, even to the point of nearly forgetting his mother. He vowed to remember every detail and due to this he had become a very effective detective for the police. During an investigation, there had been an explosion which sent shrapnel his way, blinding him on one eye and leaving permanent scars all over his body and eyes. He is the land lord of a rather large home, which he describes as "One of the loneliest places in the world."

Castiel (Mystic Kids Milo):
Born under several omens, his parents had always been careful around him. However as he got older, paranormal activity had increased around him and as it did he became more curious about the beliefs of other cultures. Eventually his parents disowned him, believing that he was the one bring misfortune to his father's company. Eventually he'd moved to England and became one of the caretaker of the museum. He now lives with Azriel, his partner.

Michael (Ringdoll Jack):
A butcher with a small quaint shop with two kids. Upon the passing of his wife, he had chosen to move away and restart his life anew. Finding an ad for a man looking for roommates, he settled down there with his two children and took a job as a butcher. He learns that he has had similar paranormal experiences like Castiel. He ends up aiding Cas in research, to the point where even the museum had offered him a job- Of course he accepted.

Kyriel (DOD Kalix):
A dorky self-proclaimed vampire. He moved into the house in the cover of night and only leaves when the sun is down, his job being a host at a vampire club. He constantly uses his need to drink blood as a joke, despite really needing to for his health. Unfortunately he's quite clumsy and constantly breaks Azriel's things, leaving him needing to pay his landlord more than the others. He enjoys leaving Cas and Michael baffled and confused.

 

Yuzuru / Chrome (Migidoll Miho + Fantasydoll Body)

Sick of his sheltered life in his strict father's home in Tokyo, he runs away to start his own life and achieve his goal of going to France to see his kid brother and mother.

With no money and only few possessions, he works as a helper for food and lodging in a Ramen restaurant owned by an old couple.

Eventually, he meets his old friend, a photographer and takes him as his assistant for modelling shoots.

One day when a female model wasn't present for a shoot, Yuzu was forced to be the crossdressed replacement.

This was the start of his accidental modelling career and took the screen name 'Chrome'

 

I can give the backstories of my entire collection in 5 sentences:

A small town near Atlanta, Georgia, Crosston Creek Township have a surprisingly diverse population (which BTW does happen in the South - I live here), among the middle & upper income group. That includes several families (old & new) w/Asian ancestry, a family descended from carpetbaggers, an old ante-bellum aristo, some post Ellis Island immigrants. Crosston Creek boys went off to war in the 40s & brought back foreign wives - European & Asian. The town, being so close to Atlanta, DragonCon & all the other little SF/Fantasy/Gaming cons that go on there, has a thriving geek/pagan/SCA/etc population. So the Crosston Creek Township alternative youngsters, hanging out at the local Comic/gaming store, decided to form a cosplay group.

 

My girl I haven't received yet is a fairy. Her mother was unseelie and her father was seelie. She becomes pregnant every spring, and has many hybrid children. She is part of nature and when it flourishes so does she. It is believed that she is the one who makes the change from winter to spring and her pregnancies come from seeds she swallows.

 

Nightmare aka Emrys Locke (Ringdoll Ran)

Nightmare is a demon that makes a bet with a crazy angel, Harvey, that he could make Seth, the main character, remember his previous life as the demon prince. When Nightmare tells him the truth directly, Seth laughs at him so he makes a plan to star Seth as the main character in a movie that he's producing. The scenes that are reenacted are the major parts of Seth's life as a demon. If Nightmare fails to win the bet, he becomes Harvey's slave and everyone else will have to endure Harvey's wrath.

Well, that's the easiest way to explain him in this story because he plays different roles in my other two stories.

Aaron (Akagi Doll Roosevelt)
Aaron is Seth's younger brother and he's a pirate. He's the type to make a joke even during a serious situation. Even though he's the younger brother, Aaron tends to be more protective of his older brother giving others the impression that he's the big brother, plus his height makes him look older.

 

Some of these are such neat stories. They're fun to read. I'm afraid my sentences might be pretty long, but I swear they all fall under the limit.

EDIT: Oops, I missed the part about picking 'just one doll'. Oh... oh well.

My guys are all (rather unlikely) friends at a fictional college somewhere here in Oregon.

Gailan Raymond Osbourne (Resinsoul Feng)
Gail and his older sister Gabriella were born to adventurous and busy world-traveling artist/photographer/journalist/writer parents, and their time growing up was (sometimes cruelly) split between time abroad and living with their grandmother. When Gail was six and Gabby was sixteen, Gabby disappeared from their home under mysterious circumstances and has not been seen since. Gailan, claiming to have witnessed the incident, insisted that his sister was kidnapped by faeries and seems to believe it just as religiously at age 18 as he did back then. After a childhood spent obsessively hunting faeries and the supernatural, despite constant bullying by his peers, dweeby, awkward, soft-hearted Gailan is now off to college and making real friends for the first time--but finding holding onto his beliefs harder than ever.

Lysander Fernando Belpois (Bobobie Weylin)
With three bossy older sisters, rambunctious, outgoing Lysander was born into a rather sketchy Canadian circus to a third-generation French trapeze/tightrope artist (papa) and a Texan horse trainer (mum). Though never truly finding his 'niche', life under the big top was all he knew until age sixteen when, due to a plethora of reasons including money trouble, a mysterious death and a goodly chunk of the young performers migrating to Southern California, the circus went under. Lysander and his family struggled to adapt to their new, rooted suburban lifestyle. Tensions with the extended family, who had never approved of the circus life and Laurent and Julianna's parenting choices to begin with, finally exploded when Lysander loudly and graphically announced over Christmas dinner that he 'preferred boys'. When the opportunity to escape the mess he had created presented itself with an acceptance letter to university, Lysander decided to ship out and embrace academia for the first time in his life.

Uriah Hewitt Malchias (Dollshe Saint)
Born to a pregnant teen who narrowly avoided an abortion clinic, Uriah spent the entirety of his first eighteen years in and out of foster care, embittered and bucking the system wherever he could. Whenever fate - and misbehaviour - landed him back at the boys' home in Chicago, he found himself hanging around with spoiled, goody-two-shoes only-child Daniel Thameson, whom he grew to hate, envy and worship. Daniel unwittingly dangled everything Uriah had ever wanted in front of his face, all the while encouraging him to try, promising that the two of them would attend college together, only to shock everyone by committing suicide a few months before high school graduation. Now, although it took a few years longer than expected, Uriah has made it to the hallowed halls of higher education, but the past is still haunting him and he has become a recluse. He is secretly struggling with crippling anxiety aggravated by substance abuse and his refusal to lay the past to rest.

 

(I haven't received my dolls yet but I'm hoping it's ok that I give this a shot anyway :3 back-stories are a large part of why I got the dolls.)

Ashtara Nox (Ash) (Luts Senior Delf Cherry)

She is the illusive leader of the social rebellion "Ashes" that fights for the rights of superpowered people across the world. Her own powers as well as her appearance do their best to mimic a phoenix, the mascot of the rebellion. She can willingly exert a fire power with destructive results and upon death is reborn in moments in a brilliant flash of flames. While under the guise of a rebellion fighting for equality she truly desires the destruction of the civilised human world in order to rebuild the world, or rather to have the world rise up anew as she can. While she openly shows affection to a newcomer to the rebellion her feelings will not get in the way of her desire to cleanse the world of its hateful, sinful ways through fire, literally.

 

Bohemia Rose (Dollzone Anson)

Bohemia Rose is my interpretation of the ultimate flowerchild. Her character is that of a rose placed on the grave of a young woman by someone who deeply loved her. The young woman was a flowerchild, a free spirit who was loved by many, lived in the French Quarter of New Orleans and tragically died far too early. When the light cast by a nearby chapel's stained glass window fell upon the rose, it became sentient, absorbing the memories and ideals of the young woman upon whose grave it had been placed.

 

I'm not going to post them all just yet, as the collection count is in major flux right now (Moving out a lot of old faces, making room for new ones), but here we go:

Rhelm is one of the youngest warriors to ever be called into service for his country, and in personal service to its ruler. Spirited but inexperienced, his attempts at filling the massive shoes before him- to protect his princess and her allies- are well-meaning but not always smooth. He has a tendency to think with his heart instead of his head, but luckily his quick feet make up for his initial ineptitude with a blade. With a proficiency for spell-casting, he harbors dreams of entering training to become a magus once his duty has ended. He also bears a somewhat confused multitude of feelings for and towards the very monarch he's been ordered to protect, and sometimes, the weight of being her personal swordsman is a little too intimate for him to handle.

Beliaer is perhaps the most boisterous, well-meaning paladin of the light to ever have been sullied and completely corrupted. You might not be able to tell from his cheerful attitude and little witticisms alone that his body harbors terrible darkness that once cut him off from the very pureness to which he has pledged his life and service. Adept at wielding both light and darkness, but not at controlling the impulses of the latter, he divides his time between his public warfare duties, private espionage conducted alongside his younger sister, Vandril, as ordered by the ruling council of their land and the countries around it, and trying to learn mastery over this new side of himself. He is also Rhelm's on-again off-again sparring partner, and the resident 'odd jobs' handyman. He is as straight as an arrow, but is fond of pretty things and dresses, and doesn't at all understand why ladies don't take him seriously and men give him odd looks.

Red is a mysterious little curmudgeon who crept into the nooks and crannies of the fortress where Rhelm's training is conducted, and decided to stay there. No one knows who or what he is, and his one desire seems to be finding his lost family, his only hint of them being the strange glove of living stone on his right arm, which he claims has just 'always been there'. He is mild and shy, but has a voracious appetite for exploring and learning, as well as trying new things. His favorite skills thus far seem to be cooking and painting, as well as hosting 'tea parties' with his beloved plush companion, Cutethulhu the knitted Old One.

Thaévyn Sinstrike was once a might paladin of the highest orders...until a series of events that eventually led to his hopelessly severe addiction to alcohol, and his subsequent formal discharge for uncouth behavior. Despite this misfortune and his deepening decent into middle age, he continues to teach classes on the etiquette and technique of combat, traveling from fortress to garrison, and is held in high esteem by his former comrades at arms, who tolerate his flaws. He also continues to drink habitually, maintaining a constant state of intoxication that severely affects his mood and conduct, changing him from a somber, serious war veteran into a laid back, flirtatious social butterfly. He is currently engaged by pre-arranged marriage to his much younger cousin, a courtship neither betrothed is eager to pursue.

The Comtesse is a young noblewoman (Countess) of a loosely-banded group of provinces and kingships, trying her hardest to rule fairly and gently in her father's absence. Insecure in everything from her decisions to her appearance, and especially around her new bodyguard, Alaise, she frequently flees to the confiding ears and arms of old schoolfellows and trusted friends of her family, hoping to sooth her consistently frazzled nerves. Unsavory rumors of her family's bloodline and her father's sudden death circulate around every street corner, driving her deeper into the private garden she tends in her rapidly shrinking free time.

Magwin Breedlove is but a youth in the eyes of her family and elf society in general, a girl on the brink of womanhood. Born to a grand old house, her etiquette-dominated but relatively carefree childhood was interrupted by the revelation that her family's inheritance was nearly spent and per tradition, she must marry into another sect of relations who were better off. While no perfect match was found, it was decided that the knight, Thaévyn, should be her consort, and arrangements were made accordingly, despite fervent protest from both fiances. While Magwin loves her cousin dearly and he her, having known him since she was a young child, neither is romantically inclined towards the other, and both have tried to flee from the obligation in the past. But with the date agreed upon rapidly approaching, she has consigned herself to the fact that she is about to become a wife to a man who may need her more than he realizes.

 

I'm going to take a crack at this and do one better. I am going to tell you about the doll I have -and- the one I have planned in 5 sentences. Here goes nothing:

Remiel (BBD Valentine) is the Angel of Mercy of the archangel order. His partner/competitor/friend Ananiel (will be Impldoll Akasha) is a fallen angel who was once a Watcher. Despite the differences between them, their friendship persisted. They have decided to reincarnate into the human world at different times in different places to wager on the salvation of humanity's souls with the only condition that they will always do it together. No matter who wins or who loses in which age at what place... they will face the challenges together as Remi and Ana.

Oh goody, how fun!

Jade (Cerisedolls hybrid) is a daddy's girl who grew up hearing the story of a brave hero her father used to know, now she wants to become a hero herself, worthy enough to become a legend. She was practically born for fighting and not much else, as such she can appear apathetic, selfish and rude. Her original motivation for fighting was for glory and a statue in her honor, now her eyes are opened to the plight of her own dying race. Still very greedy despite her change of heart, she's found a nitch in the market of heroes. Damsels now flock to her for safety as she takes zero interest in any payment besides cold hard cash, a refreshing change from the kisses and tokens of affection these downtrodden women are used to.

 

Koharu Kasuga-

She was born in a small town by the sea and was raised by her grandparents due to her parents working long hours and traveling a lot.
Her grandfather taught her how to play a guitar at a young age.
At 16 years old, she debuted in the music industry and became a well known musician worldwide.
She used the money she earned to support her grandparents who were now becoming older and ill.
Unhappy with the professional music life, she ran away to play in small towns and forests where she can truly enjoy her music.

 

They're all vampires, even the cute ones. White, parchment sallow, or disconcertingly pink, their marble-like flesh is rock-hard and their glistening eyes never blink. You don't have to show your teeth to be a vampire, you just have to stay out of the light, and you'll outlast the humans. Their fashion choices are versions of the styles when they were brought over, rendered in modern materials.

 

Elsie is an orphan from Wisconsin. She was adopted by a wealthy widower from Chicago. She's in college to be a social worker. She's asexual and aromantic. She helps homeless LGBTQA youth.

 

I have A LOT of characters but I'll just do the two most important ones that I've managed to shell.



Seifer (center): born as a deity but had an uncaring father and a mentally unstable mother, he was brought up by his cousin, Saya (left). They left the household and was captured by a sentient being who is obsessed with collecting different races of creatures, and who uses his vast collection to capture more unfortunate creatures. He has currently been sent to Earth and he and his "team-mates" have gone rogue and abandoned their mission. They try to keep a low profile by blending in with the populace, and have formed a grunge band to eck out a living. He is quiet and only speaks when he feels like it, leaving the impression that he is cold and uncaring - however, he cares A LOT for his cousin and Angrael (right).

Angrael (right): born as an angelic being, she and her twin sister were inseparable but a tragedy left her sister scarred and slightly crazy. The incident also put her in a predicament so distasteful to her that she became disillusioned with her race and her God. She believed the people who treated her sister didn't do their job right which led to her insanity, and so she became obsessed with experimentations and the human psyche. She came across the sentient being who "invited" her to join him and agreed because she was interested in experimenting on the creatures that he captured. Most people believe her to have a cruel and sadistic streak, but she is caring toward people who show her genuine affection as long as they don't get in the way of her work.

 

NOAH is swede-chinese boy who was born in Sweden but he went back to Hongkong when his parents divorced (he was only 2 yrs old). despite what happened, he was able to keep in touch with his father but growing up is still tough without a physical dad. aside from that, bullying was another problem when he was growing up since he does get a lot of jokes of how he looks. he is the average teenager with a melodramatic life. he also knew he has a little half brother from his father's second wife and he does care a lot about him.

Linder is Noah's halfbrother who has a brother complex. Linder is like the sunshine, everybody loves him. he is lively, sweet, a chatterbox and bit cheeky but he is very fragile. this boy is sickly since birth and has experienced a rather lonely life as a latchkey kid. his father is always away on a cruise (Ship captain) while his mother is an alcoholic and closet junkie who goes in and out of rehab.

 

Yggdrasil:
Stardust manifested into a human baby and floated down from the sky onto the doorstep of a church. A nun took him in and raised him until she died and he was 7. Has been in the foster care system ever since. Once was put into a house with one young girl who was a messenger from the gods and became close friends but got put in different houses. Now goes to high school with his boyfriend; the girl is in middle school and are all close.

 

Ginny: a young witch in training who lives with her teacher and grandmother in an old Victorian house near an ancient forest. Her mother had the gift but passed away when Ginny was young, and her grandmother cannot use magic herself, but knows the rituals and is the guardian of their family secrets. Ginny learns even more by exploring the forest by her home and interacting with the faerie folk who inhabit it.

Agelena: a spiderling that Ginny accidentally caught in a jar when she was little, the two became fast friends and Agelena's fascination with humans gave her a strong desire to learn to become one herself. She lives in an enormous forest colony of funnel web weaver spiders, where the young start out the size of a pinhead and grow to become larger than minivans in old age. They live for many years if they are not killed by other creatures.

Solana: The lonely fae of poisonous plants in this particular forest, she enjoys the company of hawkmoths, the only creatures who appreciate the beauty of her deadly creations. She has difficulty relating to animals or humans, because they either fear her, or are killed by her and she finds them impudent and weak. She is the only one of her kind in the forest, and has a soul full of bitterness and loneliness, coupled with the deadly innocence of a child.

Medley: A plucky little satyr who had the misfortune of drinking from a cursed pool in the forest, and who now has to share her physical form with the spirit of Merrin, a young unicorn. Whichever one is experiencing stronger emotions will be the physical form that can be seen by others. They remain individuals, but also share all thoughts with each other and started a journey to find a cure. Merrin is soft-spoken and less easily riled up, so Medley gets control of the body most of the time. Agelena and Ginny are trying to help them find a way to return them to their normal forms.

 

I have only two boys... so

Fei Ling Han aka Felix (Migidoll's Mir)

Fashionable and really eccentric boy from China. He loves his family, sister and his job. He is having some traumas an psychic problems from his childhood. He can be really shy when he likes someone, but he knows how to fight for his place in agency, where he is fashion model.

Razziel Kamdar (Impldoll's Ethan)

Talented and silent boy from India. In love with his, unfortunately, dead mother. He loves animals, nature and freedom so much, you could say that he is kind of Hippie, but he is not. He keeps others secrets and like to listen to people. His passion is painting, but he is doing modeling, because he needs money for his youngest brother.

 

Charlie's backstory isn't much to be honest. He's the typical eight year old child; he loves to play outside with Alex (his brother), he loves to catch bugs, he loves to run and jump and draw on everything. His and Alex's father is out of the picture. Charlie hates to read, but sits still when his mother reads to him. Mostly out of respect than anything else. His mother, Mia, on the other hand as a rather interesting story.

 

Ezekiel:
A veritable wealth of gods and goddesses influence and control his world, and they are never content, fighting almost constantly. Rather than fight their own battles, these deities have a tendency to choose humans to represent them in their petty wars. Zeke is one of these "Chosen", fighting for the Deity of Flame against other people stuck in his same situation. Some people lament this sort of life, but Zeke is actually proud of his ability, his own ambition leading him to the conclusion that he could someday become a god himself. This is a very, very bad idea.

Amelia:
Not a lot of backstory for my sweet little bunny. She lives in a little cottage in the forest, and has lots of animal friends. Amie's setting is very much for children, and so her stories are very simple. Her job is to be cute, and she's incredibly good at it. ♥

I've got a couple more dolls on their way (eventually); I'll try to summarize their stories when they arrive!

 

Mmm. If I'm sticking to just one, I'll do Allister/Crier:

Charismatic politician whose death by eye gouging was blamed on cult violence. Cast his name, former destiny, and free will into the void in order to escape death. Now an ambassador for the Underworld and talented necromancer with a keen side interest in summoning demons. Cosmic monstrosities whisper obscene truths directly into his mind. Permanently blind Moonshadow Caste Abyssal who serves The Lover.

Iliad: simple. A wish. From the vast expance outside space and time it is borne. A wish that is his choice weather or not it fully comes true.

Xaphan:
he comes from a rich family but most escape with his sister because some bad guys will hurt them because he have a key too the family gold.

his sister has a rare illness so he become bounty hunter too get money too the doctor too help her, he cant use the family gold because he dont know where it is.

he cant hurt women or children because he is too shy :3

he only fighting for his sister and his girlfriend

 

Zaria: Usual school girl. She was raped in age of 12. Got a psychotic disorder. Hate and afraid of adult man. Visits a therapist.

 

Oh, this is an easy one, as my dolls' back-stories are really simple:

Kerli. Her mother is Spanish and her father is English but they live in Spain. She is studying English at the university because she wants to be an English teacher. Kerli is in love with her on-line friend, Edgar, but hasn't meet him in real life. She is going to meet Edgar next summer, when he finishes university. She loves chocolate and is afraid of people speacking too loud.

Edgar. First son of a British middle class family. He has a young sister, Nelliel, who is the most important person for him. He is studying Architecture in Japan and ends his studies next year. She keeps in touch by e-mail with a nice girl called Kerli. He loves his dog, Ragnor, and would like to travel the world.

Nelliel. She has the greatest brother in the world, Edgar. She is always waiting for her brother to come home because she misses him so much. She loves painting, and wants to be a professional painter when she gets older. She gets great marks at the school and make her parents very proud. She loves blue and yellow colours and the family dog Ragnor.

 

Adamiss(karsh mnf)
Short tempered smart ass.He's rude and super sarcastic,but deep down he's a sweet heart.He tries really hard to hide his good side from everyone.When he gets really angry he turns into a beast.He can't handle being around females,he gets to shy.

 

Opps It seems I did it wrong ;-;

Adamiss: Raised by his dad.Got into a lot of fights as a kid for always defending people.Dropped out of school,and got a part time job delivering food.Feeds the stray cats and dogs with the scraps he gets from his job. Been in love only once.

 

My Dolls have two story worlds...

MSDs:

Boss, Doll, Capt, and Doc- Having all met from unbelievable happenstances, these four tough and mysterious rebels came together to form a band of orginized vigilantes. Their leader, codename: Boss, has a body swarming with semi controlled nanites, slowly and painfully turning his body into a inconcievable weapon. Doll somehow mysteriously came to life after death, with no recollection of anything before the rebel gang (although now she makes an excellent sharp shooting companion). Captain is an astute student hacker with a tender heart for her family, and Doc a witty reprogramed cybernetic man. Together the groups experiences help push one another forward, and also save eachother.


Tinys:

Joon- The misfit mergirl who unaturally hatched from an egg, instead of being birthed from a motherly womb like the other seafolk. Is Joon more fish than mammal, or is she something more? With the company of Lilo, Joon would in time learn about her otherworldly mer-family that was lost to her before she hatched. While of course, making a few peculiar water and land friends along the way... And-er, finding out about the whole of Earth's unknown history...

Lilo- Assigned caretaker to mermaid Joon, this odd crustacean like, and mermaid like alien creature is desperate to tell all it knows about Earth. Except about Joon's relatives (which is a lot to hold in, and a lot more difficult than it seems). Day by day Lilo grows more attached to Joon with their familiar and wacky quirks... But at the same time, Lilo is reminded of painful memories. Lilo tends to have so much to do (occasionally sneaking off to somewhere, leaving Joon unsupervised), in so little time.

 

A tomboy from suburban Chicago, Alexandra (Alex for short) loves skateboarding, playing basketball, and checking out new music. She's a worrier, though, and you can see the lines of her concern on her face. She's only 17, but the world expects a lot of big decisions from high school seniors, and she doesn't know what she wants to do with her life. Prom is on the horizon, and Alex is just "one of the boys" so none of the boys have noticed her, or shown any interest in asking her to the dance. It's no wonder teenagers sleep all the time, who wants to deal with all of this crap?!

Well, all of my dolls' backstory can be summed up in one.
Basically, a megalomaniac man who wants to feel powerful traps two forest spirits to do his bidding and help him build a village and seals all of their negativity in the body of a small girl. He then disappears and the entities are left to watch over his daughter.

 

Cicero - A young boy whose family was slaughtered by vampires. He was the only survivor and was turned into a vampire himself. He joined the circus because he was rejected from mainstream human society. As a clown, he loves making people smile/laugh and acts really cutesy and innocent, but his own smile masks a very deep sadness.

Dhalsim - A young human boy who is an acrobat at the same circus that Cicero joined. He quickly took Cicero under his wing and became his best friend/confidant. Dhalsim is very spiritual and is often seen praying and meditating. He gives off a very calm aura.

 

Ottilie:
A young human woman, Ottilie has completed her training and is on her way to complete ten years of servitude. She is blessed with grace and beauty, but cursed with a will of her own. Constantly punished by her master, she learns to defend herself emotionally and mentally. She escapes her master by finding a new one that sees her as a companion rather than a servant. Turns out Miss Ottilie is serving vampires and must aid them all in escaping the captive life that forced them to need her in the first place.

 

Nelyo:
A klutz and a bit of a nerd. Cosplayer. Loves The Lord of the Rings. Actually has dark brown eyes but wears light contacts all the time as his favourite characters all have grey eyes. Gets very excited when asked for pictures.

 

Ciarán- the only child to loving parents who have already passed away. He used to have a dream, but it was crushed after he found out he had a certain sickness that prevents him from bringing that dream to life.

Quinlan- Created by two magic users who had the intention to make one "human" form to hold both their powers, but the form couldn't hold their powers so pop! Two little ones emerged and one of them we know as Quinlan.

I'm terrible at this

 

Kit is quiet most of the time but when he wants attention he can be very annoying. Mostly he's laid back , not seeing the point in exerting energy on being excitable, but he can be a jerk if pushed to it. Wholly human boys excite him but most don't pay him any attention so he pretends not to care.

 

If I asked,

"What's it matter when it changes every time I remember, and every time I remember, I remember a little bit less. My mother was Acadian from up the river and my father was an OTR driver born in Belarus, so he says, but my mother said he was from Ohio. Everything was always in cash, and no matter what else fades, there are always a lot of passing lights. I liked to ride with him up to the warehouse in the city where I'd stay with my big sis for a few weeks as long as my mother never knew. Now that I've grown up a bit, I've stopped going back down, and I stay with sis now."

 

Here's my current crew. Five members.

JOHNNY
Johnny is a shy boy from Whitechapel, London who somehow found himself living in the present day. He is trying to reconcile the changes in his life while also providing for himself and his two sisters. He is hard to get to know due to an anxiety disorder, but a lot of people like him. Johnny is the main character of the storyline.

ALISTAIR
Alistair is a werewolf of Austrian and Welsh decent. He was once a member of a large family and had to watch them all die a painful death, some due to rabies and some due to mercy killing by his own hand. Alistair has been deeply scarred by this, but he strives to live his life as normally as possible. He is one of Johnny's few close friends, and is close to Johanna and Chloe as well.

JOHANNA
Johanna is an elf with a split personality. This mental illness and Johanna's loyalty to her half-sister led to her being cast out of her overly perfectionist family. Rather than focusing on this negative, Johanna has made something of herself, being an avid hunter and medicine woman. She has a lot of friends and is secretly in love with Johnny.

GUINEVERE
Guinevere is a half-elf and Johanna's half-sister. She is the end result of a fling her birth father had with a human female, and thus never really knew her father. In her teenage years Guinevere sought out her birth father, but because promiscuity is frowned upon in elf society she was soundly rejected by most of the clan...except for Johanna. The two girls were exiled from the clan and spend their time building a new life for themselves, one that is not always easy, but much more fulfilling. Guinevere is more reserved than Johanna is, but she does love to dance.

CHLOE
Chloe is the town's resident leprechaun and the story's comic relief of sorts. She has an impish, childish personality and loves nothing more than to play pranks. During her serious moments she cultivates apples, weaves, and gathers mushrooms. She clashes with Guinevere occasionally but is close to Johanna and Alistair. She's still working on Johnny, who is a little weirded out by this green mini-minx.

 

Isabeau is from a distant world. There, people travel on giant winged ginger cats. She was traveling across the galaxy with her favorite winged cat when her ship was struck by a tiny meteorite and she fell to earth. Her cat came with her. She travels the earth in search of a way to go home.

 

I'll choose ONE character for this. Details omitted for obvious reasons.

Lydia Moonchild:
A werewolf in a tribal world, where mankind once worshipped wolves in particular as wolves had helped humans survive at some point in history. Humans grow fearful and exploitive, while wolves grow entitled and arrogant. Werewolves are shamans in this world destined to return fellowship between mankind and wolfkind. Lydia, one of many shamans, is on a quest to start her own pack/tribe to prevent her world from being thrown into chaos. Lydia's already found her mate, who is also her student.

 

Druantia Rose "Dru"

She is 12 years old and is living in the elven court of Dracona Blackflower. She loves the color pink and anything in Lolita fashion. She adores sweets especially cotton candy. She loves animals especially Dragons. She can be very mischievous.

 

P.B.: Takes care of people with mutations. He has a relationship with a boy who loves plants. He has 2 sisters and 1 brother, only 1 sister moved out the others help him taking care of those "special" people.

 

I don't remember if I have done this one before, but I'll do it now anyway since I tend to discover new fragments of my characters as time passes.

Alisaie: The older sibling in a twin pair. A witch practicing black magic, scrying, hexes and herbology, and together with her white mage/healer sister makes a living doing somewhat immoral work for suspect clients in a alternative fantasy world entwined but still separate with our own. In her counterpart mundane human life she is a weather forecaster for a local TV channel in a small town in England.

Flannerie: Kidnapped as an infant by a Draconian demon and brought into aforementioned fantasy world. Genetically unstable, and prone to breaking out with odd non-human parts when riled up/emotional. Works as a mercenary/adventurer. Her human counterpart is a traveler and student (through online lessons).

Gwenevere: A Faerie. An oddball among a specie most would consider strange if not crazy, making her rather normal in the regular persons eyes. Loves everything mechanical, and works as a engineer of golems and guns and other odd bits and bobs. Exists solely in the fantasy world, likely because her 'normal' counterpart has passed away.

 

Ilya Spire: A selkie who was attacked by hunters who stole his pelt. His eventually-adoptive-parents found him bleeding in the snow and got him to a hospital, and took him home because he was too ashamed of losing his pelt to return home. After three years of maturing (and playing soccer), Ilya and his now-parents travel back to his old clan where he is reunited with his two brothers. Ilya's parents eventually adopt them too, and they all live happily every after (while constantly trying to find Ilya's pelt again).

(Man, I have so many characters but they aren't dolls yet... Oh well, just Ilya will do for now~)

 

Ava: Born in Russia and moved to the United States when she was 8. Spent her childhood facinated by nature and went to school to become a botanist. Disowned by her family for being gay. Now lives in a huge house with three other people her age. Current goal is to fill up her library with as many books as possible.

(I have a few other characters but I'll wait to share them until I get the dolls for them )

 

Bruna: A light grey harpy whose primary occupation is delivering post across the country. She currently resides in a nudist colony on account of being something of a cheap skate. Outside of her job she entertains herself by poking fun at everything i.e. her habit of going topless, the price of stamps, hippies, and old fashioned prudes. Yes, she knows what is in your package and no, she doesn't care why that was sent to you. She likes drinking fruit flavored tea.

 

I'll do my 4 ladies from the 4 worlds series.

Rina: a girl with no memories found herself in assassin training in the dark allied world, what no one had been counting on was for her to win. Over the years she had two rivals, one dark one light, and both at one point broke her wings. Only one broke her heart and she did it well, killed and zombified the only man Rina had ever loved, took her out of the sky and left her at his mercy. Though he was dead and he was cruel even after that incident she kept him alive, until on her broken wings she was flying home and caught sight of a dying god behind glass. In saving her, not just that day but over two weeks of serving her master, Rina learned to want to live again, to love again.

Balik: she wasn't always like this, she used to be something, used to be a celestial being serving the god midnight. She had a purpose, to ease the pain of the mortal plane, specifically earth, though it seemed like that was a dream now. It all changed the day she was taken out of the sky by a short girl with pink hair who seemed every bit as evil as her father before her. All Balik knew for two years was pain that's he was told was true love. She knew real love only in the girl who brought death all her life and sought to bring life in her death, though Balik sought to change that, to retuurnbher will to live.

Tacet: A girl can be many things: a self-fulfilling prophesy, a receptacle for stolen souls and their energy, a golem to be shaped only by her father, the question is if that girl's guilt. Could the world blame a girl whose twin and best friend left her alone five years with a monster for becoming one? The assassin would, when she stole Tacet's demigod, her friend would when she tried to kill her twin and his lover. But once her father died (and she did too, briefly) there was nothing left to be in the universe. It took a fierce lover to show her ways other than the sins of her father.

Atonia: when the worst part of your life isn't your world being destroyed under your feet, you sure have it rough. No, worse was what came next, locked away in a dunffeon without light and sound, by a man they called the spiny devil. But she did the impossible--she escaped, and then built her life around helping people escape. Little did she know the drunk girl she'd slept with once was the daughter of the devil, but she did know she was someone to save. She was Tacet's only saving grace, what she needed and not what she deserved but she loved her all the same.

 

These are my favorite dolls as of right now so ill just give two backstories. They are from different stories so the storylines dont mesh at all.

Changhee (akagidoll lan head on a 60cm bobobie body)

Changhee is a 19 year old south Korean male who grew up in a small town. His sense of style was kind of all over the place which caused him to be viewed as strange in the eyes of the people around him. He began to be bullied because of this which only caused him to become further engulfed into his fashion to distract from the bullies. After getting out of school he moved to Seoul to pursue fashion design and met Jisung (another one of my characters) as he was singing to himself while working. Jisung, trying to start a music group, confronted Changhee and eventually convinced him that he could be a fashion icon to others if he returned with him to Osan to become a singer in his group.

Jay (Dreaming Doll Hiro)

Jay is a 17 year old Japanese male who grew up in a laboratory after he was given up for adoption by his poor parents who couldn't support him. A scientist set on creating a switcher, someone who has the ability to travel between the two alternate universes, experimented on him causing him to lose most of his memories of life prior as a side effect. One day he wakes up somewhere other than the lab and discovers he has just killed someone but he is unable to remember how or why this happened. After escaping from the apartment through a window, as the door was blocked by police, the ghost of the boy he just murdered explains that Jay didn't kill him and that they needed to get somewhere safe. It is revealed that the experiments payed off and Jay is now able to flip from world to world but that in the ghosts world the government has forced all the switchers into hiding.

 

Since I love taking about my characters I'll continue with my next three. Also, I am very bad at town, country and continent names, so while I have ideas for their appearance I cannot for the life of me think up names for them without said names being heavily inspired by games/books/etc... and I don't want that. Anyway, for the most part I just refer to them as [Town], [Country], [Region], etc, for now :P

Nyll: Full name not yet decided. She was born marked by an unnamed snake deity (mostly referred to as the serpent), and is gifted with divine powers of healing/decay, clairvoyance and purification/corruption. Nyll has lived her entire life in a forest temple dedicated to the serpent, and is not allowed to step as much as a toe outside the temple perimeters, for fear that fiends would attempt to assassinate or spirit her away, thus leaving the temple and [Region] without their protector/oracle.

Zinnia: Zin is a sentient entity made up entirely of magical energy known as a Gypsymorph. As a fragile newly created energy spark Zin killed and possessed the body of a young child by the same name, the original Zin, and took over his life memories and all, without even being aware of what he had done or who he was. This is a defensive mechanism for his species, as their host body acts as a barrier to contain their energy while it stabilizes, until one day (around 50-ish years after creation) they are finally able to live outside of a host body. Zin, at an age of 27, has prematurely started recovering fragments of memories from his creation, and has... complicated feelings about not being truly human, or truly a living, breathing being at all.

Elluned: Elluned is a Jackalope, and more importantly a Lorekeeper and warden. He travels around the world trying to discover history lost to the ages, as well as documenting new worldly events for future generations. As a rule Lorekeepers are not suppose to be directly involved in/with anything or anyone of importance, as it may cause bias and 'corrupt' their documents, as such Elluned tries to keep to himself, and rarely opens up or allows himself to care for someone else... a plan foiled by his chance meeting with Nyll, the Oracle of [Region].

 

These two are cheeting a bit considering they are from the same story buuuut >.>
Nemo: He waits for the sand in his hour glass to run out. He watches as others turn it for him. He hates them for it. He loves them for it. He fights for them.
Roslyn: She loves him. She fights for him. She turns the hour glass for him. She will be his shield. She will teach him how to live.

Cinder: A rather clumsy doll who was purchased by an artist so that they could have a usable model as a drawing reference. Cinder wishes he could be more useful beyond just standing and holding a pose. However this is proved difficult by how truly clumsy and slightly inept he can be. Despite this he works diligently and keeps the peace among all the other dolls in the household and enjoys living his day to day life.

Raven: An ancient dragon who protects knowledge, having left his home in the ancient mountains came to live with a young artist to help them and guard the wealth of knowledge buried within the artists countless books.

Fukuto no Toshimaru: Toshi, the son of a wealthy Japanese nobleman during the early Edo period, is tired of the expectation that he'll follow in his father's footsteps. He loves rakugo and other traditional theatre, but can only learn and practice in secret. One night, exhausted after staying up as late as he can learning his favorite rakugo classic, Toshi wakes up in a goblin market, a parallel realm that caters to all kinds of mythical creatures and mystical beings. Here, he meets his soon to be best friend, Eiichi - an oni that apprentices with a shodō master - learns to control his powers of astral projection and white magic, and finally finds an enthusastic audience for his theatrical passions. Able to travel back and forth through realms, Toshi becomes a powerful magician and swordsman, and, together with Eiichi and their friends Kazue and Akemi, travel throughout human and magical realms alike exploring and returning order where chaos has fallen.

(Man, how I'd love to turn Toshi's story into a manga... Too bad I can't draw. )

 

Satou
After the Nuclear War which caused unihabitable apocalyptic conditions outside, survivors were forced to build shelter under the surface in abandoned subways and tunnels. Thus, The Underground was born-each a labyrinthine network of cities, each with a function, each function-workers.

The Pink Tunnels are for those looking to blow of a little steam; for a few extra credits you can come get your kicks, no matter what the flavor and for Satou, The Pink Tunnels are all he's ever known. Born in the underground and abandoned for looking too feminine, he found it easy "to turn", all the while dreaming of the day a wealthy man would find his fine, unusual features to be beautiful, and take him out of "The Pink".

Until then, it's just another day with John's that don't mind finding a little extra something under his tulle skirt and torn fishnets....

 

Reiko: A scientist lost his beloved wife and created clones in her image to compensate for his loss. One day Reiko got free and left his laboratory for good while destroying the other sleeping clones in their tanks. She wandered around the world, not knowing where to go and what to do since she hasn't ever seen the world outside the laboratory. That's when I found her and offered her free shelter, she accepted and is living with me since that day. Currently she's enjoying life, reading a lot of books, eating whatever she wants to, sleeping a lot, watching over me when I study and even I don't know what the future holds out for her.

 

Abandoned by his family, Tyler looks for a different life. He finds peace in music, in lyrics and tunes. His ambition takes him from a homeless 18 year old, to a top preformer. His lifestyle comes with drug addiction, world travel, love and amazing music.

 

Candice:
A shy alien high school student who dresses like a loli and who is also very serious. There is a tradition on her planet (Titan) that a female and a male alien are paired up at birth and eventually have to get married. She flees Titan With her partner Skai because of the strict rules. They crash land in the rice fields of Japan, where they meet Momoko and Riley.

 

Admittedly, when I first read the title—I mistaken it for "describe your doll's backstory in five words or less". My answer at that time? Avatar: the Last Airbender inspired.

To get specifically back on topic, I'll start my first post in this thread off with Tahmos (Granado Galileo/Ringdoll RGM-3/Loongsoul 68cm jointed hands):
Tahmos fares from a very aquatic/fluid leaning culture. He and his two best friends desire to get away from that peaceful lifestyle to become famous athletes—which Tahmos specifically desires in order to break from certain responsibilities his parents expect him to uphold. They want him to be a leader, he has a very special destiny he must follow—but all he wants to do is be able to enjoy life.

 

[movie announcer voice] In a world where uncharted Landscapes still beckon unwary travelers into danger, magic and mystery, a brother and sister struggle to untangle the puzzle of their family legacy...

from the past and into the future, uncertainty awaits them at every turn as they follow in the footsteps of their father to learn their future. Finding the answers just raises more questions in a quest that will eventually take them half-way across the world and across time...

(Very vague, I know but I have the actual story line mapped, really I do. I just want to wait to really tell it when I have enough of the written installments researched and completed to a certain level and the doll characters complete enough to make simple photo story representations of the key points.)

 

Bug:
Disgruntled alien boy sick of home planet with too thick of gravity making it impossible to skateboard. (Which is his passion.)

Travels to Earth to pursue his dream, makes a few friends and essentially becomes a slacker.

Now it's all about skateboarding, video games, and pizza.

 

(Codename) Tashan:
She is the immortal goddess Fulla, who dwells among humans incognito.
She is present in Midgard because of the punishment that was imposed on her for revealing her mistress' secrets.
She is skilled in magic, music, hacking, tea and herbs, and could make a living as a DJ or as an ikebana binder.
She owns an enchanted ring that cannot be removed, this ring may be responsible for her lack of luck in love.
When things get too much for her, she lies down in the snow, falls asleep and forgets, this way she can sleep for many years before reappearing with new energy to live her messed up life.

(Codename) Cliff:
He's actually Hades - the Greek god of the underworld. He likes black formal suits and black coffee.
In the human world, he's looking for his wife Persephone, who ran away.
He's been hired as a special agent for the Secret Service.
He's currently employed by an illegal lab that created Rei (my Zaoll). But she managed to escape. It seems to be almost his destiny that every woman escapes.
He tries to find her again and take her back to the lab, because she has special powers that they want...
