That's ridiculous. I really don't like think this is good business. I also noticed that the rep on DOA posted a new doll release. Maybe post on the release page and link back to this one? Or is that against the rules?
Hmm, their new news post does states to expect delays? I don't know. At least they're following up with you, but at the same time I wouldn't want this to be another promised shipment date to go delayed for you.
didn't get an update on friday, asked for an update on saturday, haven't heard from them yet but i think they take weekends off.
Yeah I've never gotten a response from them on the weekend so you're probably right. Did you get the "Thank you for contacting us" message when you emailed them Saturday?
i did! i've always gotten the thanks for contacting us message so far, even if one time it was really late. ^^
UPDATE: I GOT A SHIPPING NUMBER!!! it's DHL express which i don't know anything about but google tells me it should be pretty fast?! I'll update ASAP when i know anything else/it arrives. ^^
tracking is telling me the expected delivery date is october third!! : D i will update with an arrival or delays when they happen~ ^^
UPDATE!!!! IT ARRIVED!!!! safe and sound, my dz floy Norris finally has his body at long last~ (doll nudity) it's a beautiful body and i'm very happy~ it poses beautifully and they colour-matched him perfectly!!! so my case is resolved~ ^^
@mangameow Congratulations! It looks good! Also I was not aware they offer color-matching? I read your reviews. It's such a shame about the service... but at least the doll itself wasn't a disappointment. There's at least that. @akaisha0 Hope your dolls also come you safety after production.
This happened to me today .. I asked them if I can buy a head of a limited doll and they said yes and gave me their paypal email , I ask a dealer about the head because I felt suspicious, then the dealer told me it is not possible to buy the head of a limited doll , then I got an email from gem of doll saying that I shouldn't contact a dealer and now they can’t sell me the head
I specifically asked them about getting the limited head separately and they told me no It makes me think they have multiple people managing their e-mail account that aren't properly communicating. If they gave false information the right thing to do is honor the error. But I'm not surprised they aren't. GoD's customer service is horrid at best. I love their dolls and their quality if often still fairly good (on dolls, less so on wigs or clothing items) but the way they act toward customers is just upsetting.
What makes me even worried they still asking me if i want the head and if i have a problem in paying they sent me another paypal account different than the old one . Srsly this has stop
The whole different PayPal e-mails every time you pay has been going on for years. They also often ask you send it as friends/family. I'm reasonably sure PayPal keeps catching them doing this as it's against PP's ToS and have their accounts shut down regularly or have to spread it between multiple accounts to not raise any flags with PP. I realize this is speculation but considering this has been a regular practice of GoD's for years now..I'd be interested to hear what else it could be.
Why would they do that ? is there’s someone missing with the company or they are aware and ok with this ? I love there dolls and accessories but I can’t trust them
GEM of doll directly is still inconsistent. There is a youtube video of a frequent buyer that also experienced unresponsiveness and paypal issues on one of their orders. That was last year, I believe. I'm not sure why, but they have their episodes of great customer service or subpar. I've never heard someone who went through a dealer have these issues, so I'd say consider a dealer. Some dealers are BJDivas, Fabric Friends and Dolls, Alice Collections and LegendDoll
this is sad because I had such a wonderful experience with them and was disappointed I didn't love any of their other sculpts enough for repeat service. I did the whole thing via facebook though. no email, all facebook. They seemed to be pretty good at responding via that platform, though email I didn't get any confirmation or anything. They also literally took a month to finish and ship my doll. It's disappointing to learn that I just got lucky there.
