I'm also stressed for the shipping part as well. The last order I did put some real trauma in me lol so I am hoping everyone waiting for Chong Lin will have a better time!

 

I got mine from stacy's pnk ocean and they said shipping shouldn't be more than $200 but I have head some crazy stuff about moonlight's shipping fees like $300 so I would just save for that. In that case I would keep the shipping papers and check to make sure it actually cost that much to ship.

 

Anyone have any ideas on how long YiCen takes typically? I'm hearing 6 months.

. I’ve have pretty good experiences with buying in stock items from moonlight….but I regret pre ordering stuff from them. No communication,marked up prices,and seem slower. What does having the Papers do…I can’t do anything even if they do upcharge me for shipping though?

SPO actually sent me an email that Chong Lin is INDEED for shipping??????? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

 

There was one batch that got super delayed and all due to covid (Wu Qi, I think?). I think that was the longest wait times. She's usually at 6 months turnaround based from from other collectors who got her dolls.... this is excluding shipping times

It might be a different story if she opens up a new batch of pre-orders as she's already on the way to become a new mom--that might affect timing of shipping but so far she hasn't opened anything after Chong Lin and only teased on some projects and small parts pre-orders on weibo

 

Of course I ask that and I get a notice from Stacy's that they will be shipping him tomorrow!!

are you using the feet they are making to pair with this or did you get a pair of heeled feet elsewhere and what skintone?

i currently own a pair of heeled feet from ringdoll but they are too pink toned to match with yc normal skin 9i can probably hide this with stocking but bare legs might not work and i was hoping to get a new pair

 

I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand the question? I bought the heel feet and matching shoes from Moonlight and chose Soom Normal since I think that’s the closest to my doll. I hope that helps!

i have been looking for compatible heeled feet to use on Chi Ye and I was looking for alternatives apart from Jack's house (the one listed on mbjd)
I thought you have an existing pair of heeled feet and got the shoes only, my bad!

 

Idk if you still want those feet and shoes, but I found the original seller on Taobao and just gonna use spreenow proxy to order them.

Just for the record, I hear moonlight has crazy shipping fees. Mine was shipped (purchased from SPO) to Canada on FedEx and it cost $142 USD, then $18.50ish fees over the border.

For me its 85 USD from SPO in China to me in the Philippine via EMS (not recommended at least for my country) . I did get refunded for shipping for both instances where I chose ems (15usd refund for 100usd pre-paid when i ordered) and shipping within China to my forwarder (69usd refund)

I think he is a little lighter ish because they shipped him using the white rigid styrene foam thingy instead of the other black, soft foam type i got with chi ye....
I took out the hands for now to play with because its my first jointed hands from YC and WOW. I loved DF-H hands but the hands are almost perfect out of the box and will not likely need wiring any time soon!

It’s exciting to see Chong Lin being shipped! I’ve still got a couple months of layaway to go but he looks so good in owner photos. And that’s a really good idea of shipping cost to NA from SPO! Gotta prepare myself for it mentally.

 

Despite some very minor hiccups with special instructions with SPO on my first try w/ Chi Ye, Chong Lin came to me under better circumstances. Indeed, they are a good point of reference for shipping cost and I am a satisfied customer for most part.

I would go after them for shipping fees. I saw one person post it was like $300!!! that's more than double. If that was the case I would go after them big time.

They might have missed out on your message; maybe sending a friendly reminder to follow up could expedite that reply. I had to do that with my last order to receive my shipping tracking number from them.

Ughhh that's terrible. I had FedEx through Stacy's and he was here in a few short days. Highly recommend them for next time. So sorry your orders haven't gone well. They do use slow shipping for the cost =_= I had two costumes ship the same day. One from Moonlight and one from Space Studio. Space Studio's arrived two days ago. Moonlight's is still "in the air" since the 16th.

Weather's been so awful here recently so I couldn't do faceups for the sleeping head but I hope they will do for now

 

I received my YC77 body today I was a little overwhelmed at first; opened the box to take this picture and then promptly put the lid back on before coming back to it a few hours later


This tan will not match the heads I bought it for, but how different the shades are, I'll only check another time It did come with a head that I'm not sure which sculpt it is now, would appreciate if anyone can help identify:

 

It should be in the coa in the envelope, google translate or a photo here works if the head is part of the set ...or did you buy this head separately?

He does look like Chong Lin to me but that CoA should tell

No biggie, I went through the same!

I thought I didn't get a COA (its a small PVC Card vs those big certs lol....) for the jointed hands, I even emailed SPO few weeks about it and all and she was about to contact mama Yi and.....well.....definitely a brain fart.
It was sandwiched behind the COA and I never tried feeling the envelope despite doing an unboxing LOL.

The only way to get a head is to split with someone. Sometimes the bodies are sold on their own, but so far not the heads.

They have pre-order periods from time to time. Nothing is open right now but maybe in a few months? Do you follow Yicen on IG? They usually post when they announce order periods with their overseas partners like Stacy’s Pink Ocean or Moonlightbjdhouse.


Actually, take that back. I just checked on Stacy’s and they seem to have some 77cm Chong Lin available.

Editing to ask a question about YC76 measurements. Would anyone be able to confirm leg measurements? One from the outside hip joint to the floor and the other from the crotch to the floor?

 

Both Chong Lin and my floating Chi Ye head made it home a few weeks ago. I've been really busy but Chi Ye has successfully taken over the body and he looks so amazing! I think he may be an older boy since he came to me in the head box, but I'm so happy to have him home.

Does anyone know of which companies make good hands that go with the light tan? I was a dummy and only ordered the extra jointed hands and not the other hands and now I realize I don't like jointed hands as much as I want to.

 

Oh my congratulations!!! I am so guilty having the boys unpainted due to life and commissions so I look longingly from afar what everyone make for the boys!

Chi Ye is still my all time favorite and I look forward to what you have in store for him!

I think someone said the light tan is close to Soom and I was told that 2D light tan also works....Doll Family H might have a color match...though the hands looks a little too dainty for his size (but the joint does fit)

Based on measurements and stuff, do you guys think that maybe Dikadoll 75cm Strong Ver II (DS-2) would be roughly the same size as the YC76? Maybe a little smaller or larger? I’m trying to find a body that’s similar in size to my YC76 but maybe a little shorter. It’s hard to tell because everyone measures a little differently.

I was wondering if anyone knew when the next pre order would be for Y Cen and if they sell the bodies separately?

I desperately want the YC76 body for an incoming head. I found a full doll second hand but the seller won't split the body from the head and it's too expensive for me to buy the full doll

 

Not sure when, but I usually watch Stacy’s Pink Ocean and send an email to ask if she knows. The bodies have been available separately before, but it might not be an every time sort of thing. I vaguely recall that Yicen prefers to sell full dolls.
