Maybe try contacting them trough their social media like weibo or instagram account? Though I'm honestly not sure if contacting companies is the "norm" of weibo and instagram:/ besides I'm not sure if they have English speaking staff available there....Maybe contacting them trough one of their official dealers is an option too?

I've checked Acbjd, only normal or white is available there.

I need a little help from you xaga dolls owners. As far as I know, Red Obsidian boys have two different body types. Cyrus and
Ken are muscular and more mature and Syivia-1 is more of a teenager. Can anyone compare these two, please?

 

I ordered a Yilia, I'm so excited! Wait is supposed to be 5 months though so I suppose I should chill. Or more likely, buy her a bunch of stuff while I'm waiting.

Red Obsidian are tinies, right? This is the thread for the big dolls (Silvery Obsidian and Purple Black Obsidian), I'm afraid. I don't think Xaga tinies have their own thread, but there does seem to be a fairly active thread specifically for mature tinies, here: /threads/mature-1-6-dolls-part-3.819428/ ~ you might also search the previous threads, as that one is fairly new. Okay very late here, but since no one else has replied: I was told by the dealer that my wait time would be about 5 months for a blank doll, but it might take longer if you add a faceup. I recently saw someone say they waited almost a year for a fullset doll.

I've never owned a doll from this company before, but I can tell you that they are a well-established company that has been around for many years, and I am confident that I will receive a doll of good quality. Eventually.

They seem more popular in China than they are in the west, from what I can tell. I mostly found pics of them on Instagram and Weibo, though Flickr has some too.

 

So excited. My xaga doll zoe just was shipped. Wasn't expecting him so soon. I just ordeeed him last month, and the dealer had said 5 month.

 

Congratulations @kc-darkfairy! Early shipping doesn't happen very often, especially these days. I'd love to see pics when you get him.

 

I'm surprised, though last timw I ordered through this dealer for my last xagadoll I actually gor them a little earlier then I thought I would. Though nott his early >< . The world issues too really surprised me with how fast, as well as the fact I also ordered a dz body with him, which was supposed to take a litlte longer then him. Im just was so surprised, but its jot an unwelcome one. Definitely good timing for a cheer up.

And of course. I gor him with face uo, i loved his enough to. I haven't had a company face up on a doll in years.

 

Anyone have a xagadoll in normal of very normal skin? Id like to see some photos before i purchase anything~

My friend just bought a xagadoll Lucas and I'm asking on their behalf if we know what the current wait time for a blank doll is ^-^ thank you!

 

Xagadoll is pretty slow in my (albeit limited) experience. The original estimate of the dealer for my order that I placed back in June was five months, but it took about six months for my order of a blank doll with extra hands & high heel feet to ship. The quality was very nice though, I was quite impressed with the doll. I hope this helps, and congrats to your friend!

 

I am on month 6 of a wait for xagadoll. I ordered through ACBJD and they told me the current wait was 8 months. Last year I waited 9 month for a Xaga through Legenddoll. Both blank

Just thought I'd mention that xagadoll seems to have fused their website with their sister company, Asleep Eidolon Xagadoll has its own dropdown menu for its dolls on aedoll.com. I'm not sure when they decided to do this change, though.

 

Hello, I ordered a Xaga doll mini Zoe on the version 1 girl body and they just shipped! I waited around 7 months for them so definitely my longest wait yet. But I’m super excited to see what their doll is like!

This is my Xagadoll Camille I got from Clover-singing around maybe 2 years ago. I think I got lucky with the wait as she only took 3 months. Her ears have been modded to elf ears. And oh boy, the 65cm girls are allllll leg. She's in normal pink, which is a match to Granado and a decent match to IoS

I just ordered Crepes and Souffle from Asleep Eidolon! I'm so excited but 6-8 months? whew, I hope the wait is worth it since they're so cute!

 

Popping in to ask: can anyone recommend shoes that fit the flat feet for the female body ver. II?

The Measurements I'm getting are 6.8x2.4 cm (Actually 6.75x2.3, but I rounded up for error rates), which are pretty narrow. Most of the shoes I have on hand are looking a bit...clowny on her.

 

Does someone know where I can get the Highheel legs/feet?
When I´ve ordered my Clear last year from Alice Collection, there was no option to add these and I completly forgot, that I need them, because I only own High Heels ... But wherever I look, are only hands or whole bodys for sale ^^'

 

Alice and other dealers are sometimes able to order parts that are not available as listed--I'd email them and ask about it if you don't want to go directly to xaga.

I absolutely love how beautiful the Version II bodies look for their 1/4 sizes, they're so wonderfully sculpted and appealing!
I will probably order through Alice's Collection, since that seems like a good way to go about it

I got a Xaga Doll Maltose in white with smaller chest for x-mas.

The skin is so translucent that I cannot use blue putty on her eyes, but it is okay- white putty exists. It's also quite luminous- I can 100% pick her out in a dark room. She's very different in feel and color to my Impldoll. Also she is so tiny! I love her so much Q_Q

An issue I am facing is clothing. I can make them, but I don't draft patterns. I can say that MGA Rainbow High fashion dolls comes the closest that I know of, but they are too loose in the top, even though the bottom fits beautifully. She has a bubble butt and those have really wide hips, so it all works out.

I've been trying to find BJDs with a similar build, but I am new to the hobby and don't yet know all the abbreviations. I saw that people said these were SD dolls, but when I looked that up, the list of abbreviations here says SD is a whole other doll brand???

I'm guessing that SD is used as a term to standardize size- like how kleenex means the same as tissue in the USA, is that correct? If I am off, would anyone be able to point me toward clothes patterns that will fit a Red Obsidian Xaga doll well?

 

@missycheese SD stands for Super Dollfie, Volks' trademark name for their line of 60cm plus ball jointed dolls. But as you've surmised over the years SD has also become a catch all size term for almost all BJD's in this size range. However, it looks like the red obsidian Xaga dolls are in the 1/6th size range so you definitely don't want to get any patterns or clothes labeled as for SD size dolls.

 

Another tricky part is that SD/MSD/yoSD generally refer to only the height of the dolls and not necessarily their proportions (hence terms like slim minis and mature tinies existing), so it's important to check the measurements on any pattern or clothing article before buying--and things like differently sized busts have a pretty large impact.

You can get a lot of mileage out of clothes that use stretchy materials or have gathers, of course. Patternless garments that are constructed based on measurements are also helpful (lomi's playground on youtube has a few really nice tutorials on these, and there are a few other famous ones out there like 5th atelier's circle dress).

 

Oh gosh, I just searched clothes that fit Xaga dolls and went in that search result, I didn't even realize this was the large doll forum, whoopsie.

Of course we're interested! Xaga makes beautiful dolls! I have mostly smaller Xaga dolls.

I'm kinda in love with Macula's head sculpt but I just want the head. He's so pretty and cute but I don't really like the Xaga body or the way its joints look.

 

I think it's worth asking whether they would sell only the head.

 

I was thinking that but would it be through a dealer or from the AsleepEidolon/Xaga website, hmm. I've seen some in stock heads at dealers' sites but I dunno how often companies take requests.

 

I bought mine through a dealer, so I don't have experience buying from their website. To me it seems like Chinese companies are generally more flexible in that matter, but of course every company has their own policy. But since they also have a color option that's supposed to be like Volks' normal, I think they probably expect that some costumers want to make hybrids with their parts.

 

Yeah, that does seem to be the case.
I had asked back in February through customer chat on the AEdoll/Xaga site about having a sleeping head added on since I already had an order for a regular doll, but it seems they don't sell them separately like that, without the body to go with it. I don't really want to spend on a body I don't need just to get a sleeping head, no matter how cute

Well, that's unfortunate. I also thought about buying another head to have a different face up, but then it seems I'll have to pass.
