Would you rather be BJD pregnant or in the stages of BJD conception?

 

OMG I can't even... Let's assume it was meant metaphorically and I was a dollmaker, I'd be "pregnant" with a new BJD I was about to bring into reality.

Would you rather display your floating heads, or keep them locked up?

 

I keep them put away. It's less guilt-inducing that way. XD

Would you rather have all your floating heads on their own bodies or have them share bodies?

 

currently, as I don't have floating heads or bodies, I think I'd prefer body sharing to save money $$$ !
Would you rather have a doll TELL you its name, or you name it and the doll is content with the name you chose ?

 

I'd rather have it 'tell' me. It makes them seem more alive to me. (I know, I'm weird D: )

Would you rather have an extremely yellowed doll or a badly dyed one?

 

Extremely yellowed. At least that way it would be even.

Would you rather make clothes for tiny dolls or buy clothes for SD sized dolls?

 

I'd rather buy clothes, because unfortunately I don't enjoy sewing.

If your doll needed a weapon, would you rather choose a sword or a gun?

 

a gun! swords alter their center of gravity and make them tippy!
would you rather have extremely porous resin or extremely brittle resin?

 

I would prefer brittle because I wouldn't want holes in my doll and I already treat my dolls like they are brittle...

Would you rather have your doll pose good with a real crap camera or pose poorly with a real good camera?

 

Pose good with a crap camera for sure. I want a doll I can play with regardless of camera availability!

Would you rather have a doll that consisted of a tiny body with an SD head, or an SD body with a tiny head?

Easy decision: human it is.

Would you rather want your doll's bodyblushing with or without pubic hair?

 

With. If it's a man doll, I'd be wanting a bit of chest and tummy hair too.

Would you rather have a doll with full-body blushing or a really fantastic manicure?

 

Manicure. Blushing wouldn't last long with my doll's preference for black clothes...

On the same theme, would you rather have a doll with bright coloured nails or a natural looking manicure?

 

Depends on the doll really, but for the most part I'd prefer it to look natural.

Would you rather begin a layaway or pay a lump sum for a new doll?

 

Definitely a lump sum. There's something unnerving about owing money to a company and having to remember to pay.

Would you rather be doll-size for a day, or have your doll be human-size for a day?

 

Doll-size. I've actually wondered quite a bit about what the world would be like at their scale.

Would you rather have the wrong doll shipped to you or no doll at all?

 

Definitely the wrong doll. I might be surprised and like it or
could trade it.

Would you rather get the right doll in the wrong resin or a wrong
doll in the right resin?

 

Ooh. I'd rather get the wrong doll in the right resin. There are some sculpts that I really want but cannot stand in different resins. I'd be gutted if I got the right doll but in WS, for example.

Would you rather get a too-long wig and have to trim it, or a too-big wig and have to attempt to make it fit?

 

A too-long wig for sure.

Would you rather be able to flawlessly sew or flawlessly do face-ups?

 

Flawlessly sew, since I could transfer those skills to people-sized things too

Would you rather have a wonderful camera with subpar skills or wonderful photography skills with a subpar camera?

 

Wonderful skills with a subpar camera. If your good enough you can make it work.

Would you rather have all your dolls in normal resin but the resin colors don't match well or perfectly matched white resin?

 

All my dolls in normal resin (although oddly my only doll is in white haha).

Would you rather have every doll that you want free of charge but have to pay for all of the eyes/wigs/clothes or have only one doll with all the eyes/wigs/clothes for it that you want free of charge?

 

I rather have the doll free of charge because nowadays I have so much of everything that I don't need to buy new eyes or wigs for new dolls....even clothes.

Would you rather be able to change the eyes and have the same default(from the company) wig forever or vicerversa?

 

Definitely permanent eyes and the ability to change wigs.

Would you rather have a collection exclusively of dolls around 60cm or exclusively of dolls around 35cm?

 

I'd go for the 60 cm collection! Definitely! ((I just like the sounds resin makes especially when big dolls 'pop' so yeah))
Would you rather spend a fortune making your doll's clothes or spend a fortune buying your doll's clothes?

 

Definitely buying. I'm a crappy seamstress and I'd rather have someone talented do it for me!

Would you rather own a small army of tiny BJDs or one large super expensive giant (like, a Dollmore Trinity for example)?

 

Small army of tinies!

would you rather own only one sex of doll or one size? (like only boys or only 1/4's?)

 

Only one size. Most of my characters are guys but I would miss my three girls. I would have two very lonely guys without the ladies around. I could always shell the little guys as their older selves, and Aysu would be kind of interesting to see as an adult.

Would you rather have to work every day but have money for your dolls or have half a week off to play with your dolls but a limited dolly budget?

 

I'd rather be working and have the money.

Would you rather learn a new doll-related skill or have some extra time for the ones you already know?

 

I'd rather learn a new skill, more time doesn't automatically mean more efficiency.

Would you rather want eyelashes on a male doll, or prefer boys without?

 

I'd prefer with. My guys look strange without long, pretty lashes...

Would you rather have to wipe the perfect face-up or body-blushing?

 

body blushing. It never stays intact very long with me anyway, and it's less visible than faceup (since my dolls are clothed).


would you rather have a very small number of dolls but all the clothes and accessories you can wish for for them, or have all the dolls you want but each only have one outfit?

 

A small number of dolls with all the clothes and accessories~ Mainly because my doll wishlist isn't very long haha XD

Would you rather be an expert at sculpting dolls or an expert at blushing/ giving them faceups?

 

As much as I would love to be able to sculpt a doll, I'd rather get better at face-ups and body-blushing. My skills have come a long way in the past ten years, but there is always room for improvement. ^3^

Would you rather have to send your doll off for aesthetics or for a custom-made outfit and wig ensemble?

 

I'd rather not send out a whole doll for an outfit, even if it's super elaborate and would later on fit like a glove. Too dangerous, taking the measurements should do the job well enough.

Would you rather take your doll on a boat trip, or bicycle ride?

 

Boat trip. I don't know how I'd even hold one while on a bike to be honest...


Would you rather have a doll in a discontinued but beautiful resin color with the potential that it could break and you'd have to blush any replacement parts to match, or a doll in a plainer, extremely common color so that there are lots of replacement options if needed?

 

Probably the common color. Easier to match is better for me.

Would you rather have a BJD horse in scale for your dolls that costs a ton or a pet doll like a cat or dog BJD in scale that was cheaper?

 

Definitely a manga. Im a huge Japan fan and love manga ^^

I would rather have immortality...even though it would hurt to live on while watching loved ones come and go.

few expensive ones! Unfortunately (or fortunately?) my taste leans towards the expensive companies :P

I never do neither, so uhm... I don't know. I only post them on doll-specific places.

Would you rather go for a lot of doll meets with strangers or have just one close friend in the hobby.

 

That's a tough question. I'm going to make it tougher and assume that all the strangers one meets at doll meets won't become close friends. Even then, I will have to say that I think I'd rather go to a lot of doll meets with strangers rather than have just one close friend in the hobby. The reason for that is because I'm not really in the doll hobby for friends, but for the love and enjoyment of dolls... so to be able to go to LOTS of meets would mean to be able to see and experience hundreds of dolls personally, in a way that seeing photos of them just couldn't do! Plus, even though I don't have friends in the hobby, I do have friends who enjoy seeing my doll get customized, so though I can't share the nitty gritty details of wrestling with dye or faceups, I CAN celebrate my finished product with them ^_^!

Would you rather have one OMFGAMAZINGAWESOMEPERFECT doll that you find the most appealing, in terms of sculpt, color, mods, clothing, etc. OR, would you rather have 100 dolls that are decent, but no amount of money will be able to help you obtain that PERFECT doll?

 

the perfect one! I actually dislike having a lots of dolls + I'm capricious with sculpts too.

would you rather have doll(s) with many hands for different pose, or many heads with different facial expression ?

 

I would rather have the hands, because you can do so many different expressions for a doll then too many heads, because if you like her to have other expressions in her face it would be better to change her face up, then to change the hole head also the heads occupied more space in your house.

would you rather have a doll with her original body, then a hybrid with the perfect body for your character but not matching color with your head?

 

Colors can be matched with blushing and if that fails, there is always airbrush. I would rather have the prefect body shape and work for the color match.

In scale furniture or good backdrops if you could only chose one or the other?

 

In scale furniture.

Would you rather base a doll on an animated character or a live action character portrayed by a real human actor?

 

Probably on an animated character.

Would you rather have a not-that-much-working sewing machine that makes you angry every 10 minutes or none at all?

 

None at all. I can hand-sew, and having a barely-functional sewing machine just makes it too frustrating. (I've had the poorly-working sewing machine at several points in my life. No machine at all is much better.)

Would you rather have a really great sewing machine or a really great photo set-up?

 

Really great photo set-up. I much prefer hand sewing anyways.

Would you rather blush jointed hands to match a body, or blush the body to match the hands? Assuming both get frequent handling.

 

blush the body. Would you rather have only one size of accessories or only one size of shoes, assuming you have multiple sizes of dolls?

 

One size of accessories. At least with those, the doll can still look "complete"; without shoes/shoes too big I'd just feel weird D:
