Would you rather miss out on a limited doll without clothes or a limited fullset outfit, because you converted the time zones incorrectly?

 

I'd rather miss out on a limited doll without clothes. I REALLY need clothes for my doll, I'd kick myself if I missed out on an outfit!!

Would you rather apply eyelashes or make a wig?

 

I'd rather apply eyelashes. I'm not super experienced or patient with that sort of thing, but I think I could do eyelashes. I did make a $1 wig, but that is just temporary, LOL!

Would you rather use clay (or another suitable sculpting/modeling medium) to sculpt food (or another prop) or make some kind of body part for your doll (horns, hooves, etc.)

 

I have done both and I liked making the horns the most so body part! I made Philotryphe a lyre and it kept loosing the shape. The horns were easier to lay flat and so baked correctly.

Would you rather take your dolls to an anime convention or to a meet up for another hobby? (cosplay group, lolita fashion, card game event ect.)

 

Another hobby meet-up. I've done both, and I prefer taking them out to gaming events.

Would you rather make a really great cosplay for your doll or buy one that was only so-so?

 

I'd rather make one, that way I'd be more proud of it!
Would you rather have a loosely strung doll that's easy to dress, or a perfectly strung doll that's a pain in the rear to dress?

 

I would rather have a loosely strung doll that is easy to dress, especially considering that I already have this problem.

Would rather only be able to get clothes in all black or all white?

 

All white, less chance of staining and it takes dye much more easily.

Would you rather order a new doll, or order new things for a doll you have already?

 

oooh that's a tough one! Right now, i'd rather order stuff for my existing dolls, but i'm sure that'll change in a few days :P
Would you rather have a Smart doll or a Dollfie Dream?

 

Smart Doll, especially the mechanical one. I'm really hoping it's affordable when it comes out, because it looks like it's going to be amazing!

Would you rather, having doll parts that don't match, blush them to match or rely on (possibly intentional) yellowing?

 

I'd definitely give blushing a try. No guarantees, though... In the end I might just have to rely on yellowing.

Would you rather have a fur or fiber wig?

 

Fur. Nothing beats that silky soft feeling. Only the naturally tapered hairs of fur feel that real!

Would you rather have a doll with fingernails or no fingernails?

 

All my dolls have fingernails so I guess I prefer fingernails

Would you rather all your dolls had high heeled feet, or have none of your dolls able to wear high heels?

 

Depends on if the heeled feet are optional or not. If not, I'd much rather have flat feet.

Would you rather do your own faceup or send a head out to be faced up by someone else?

 

send out! I'm awful at faceups

I'd rather have a rude postal worker when I ship things 'cause I don't want someone ruining my happy experience of receiving dolly stuff.

Would you rather all your dolls change gender or size?

Would you rather take your doll with you on vacation and have the risk of damaging him/her or leave hi/her safely at home?

 

I take them on vacation since I done it with playline 1/6ers before. I would love to take the big Iple EID dude for a vacation too if I can figure out how to get him in the cabin bag(I would like to keep my hands free since he's not an easy doll to hand carry). I already intend to take the 50cmers for a vacation soon, since they fit my shoe bag, they can go.


Would you rather upsize a fave 1/6 doll into a 1/3 doll(assuming at least 90% likeness in the new doll) or totally create a new 1/3 doll character?

 

I'd rather not upsize, but start with the new 1/3 doll from scratch and see where it all goes. Also, I wouldn't want to part with the 1/6 doll.... But never say never, I guess (first I'd have to get one!).

Would you rather (not ideally, but realistically speaking) keep your dolls in a standing, sitting or lying position over a longer period of time?

 

Depends where they are, lol. If they're on my desk, they'll either be sitting or lying down. If they're on my bookshelf, they're probably lying down.

Would you rather pay a lower price + shipping for a mass-produced outfit, or spend a bit more to have something commissioned from someone local?

 

Since I've lots of custom outfit ideas that I'll need being done... Rather spend a bit more and therefore get a commissioned outfit from someone local~ (Or even not local, I'd not mind~ o3o)

Would you rather have many heads but not enough bodies for all of them or rather have lots of spare bodies that you actually don't need since you don't have that many heads?

Upgrade the body for sure. I have a few I might do that for soon.

Hmmm...I think I'd rather take them to work. I'd be too scared to get them dirty at a dining location not to mention my partner would be very displeased.

eyes!! I have no idea what my dream wig is rn but I have a good idea what my perfect set of eyes would look like!

Additive, definitely. I don't know if I'd ever be brave enough to do a subtractive mod. =P

That's a hard one. I want both. But I have seen a lot more swords around than phones, so I will chose phone.

All Straight, because I have curly hair and i like to play with my dolls straight wigs!

Headcaps, most of my dolls have them so that is the most normal for me.

Mmmm, if it's got stuff on it, a bagel. I'd probably do something inappropriate for a bagel with lox right now.

It depends on the flavors, but ice cream is never a bad choice!

Not very creative or safe with sewing, so in this case I would rather commision.

Would you rather be gifted a doll and have the element of surprise or spend hours searching for your own dropping subtle hints...

 

I'd rather search for my own. If I was gifted a doll I didn't like or didn't have a character for, it would be a huge waste of their money! I'd rather pick the sculpt myself and pay for it too, if need be.

Would you rather pay a lot of shipping and get the doll neatly wrapped & waiting for you to unveil it OR save on shipping but have to string the doll parts together yourself from a small box?

 

Oh, I like getting them in pieces. :3 Especially when that's an option from the company--my Unidoll Jace was in "kit" form when I bought him. It's a great way to ensure that I get the tension just right, and I can do any sueding or what have you right from the start. (I usually end up taking apart my whole dolls as soon as they get here, actually!)

Face-up if I had a set of lungs that could cope with it.

that's tough!! I use both, and they are linked, but I'd rather use tumblr because I can make posts without HAVING to have a photo attached!

Depends on which doll I liked more.... I would happily pay a long layway if I preferred the expensive doll..

Professional shoot! The lighting around here and the camera I have is not the best so it would be great to have the photos done well.

Would you rather have dolls for all the characters you want but with the stipulation that you have to get rid of the ones you have now and re shell the characters, or keep the dolls you have now but not be able to shell any more characters?

 

Never shell a new character because I don't do that anyways.

This is a tough one because I could go either way. On the one hand the tiny would be better for photos and the bigger doll would be harder to pose but would fit in with my other dolls in pictures better. I am going to say bigger doll that is less possible, at worst I can shove in the back for pictures behind the other dolls.

Would you rather lose your doll's wig or their shoes?

 

wig! shoes are so hard to find that fit properly!

Posing nude! I love seeing the craftsmanship that goes into each body.

Fiber, as I have so many more.

It would honestly depend on the severity and location of the damage. If the damage was not too terrible, I probably would work it into my doll's characterization. Otherwise, I would try to replace the part.

Would you rather try to make a female doll more masculine or a male doll more effeminate?

 

I'd pick the latter, but it depends. Making a male doll effeminate is what I do best!

I guess I'd rather sell him to a person I am close with. Since I know for sure then at what kind of place he ended up being. In general I'd always rather sell dolls to people I at least know a bit rather than to total strangers... Just so I know they'll have a good home.

Would you rather put your doll in the hands of a child (6-12 years old maybe) where you know this child usually always is careful with things belonging to other people or give it a teenager or adult (16 and older) where you know they are not that careful with other people's belongings?

Human. Some of the anthro dolls are cute, but they're not really my thing.

Same hair color. Eyes are much more personal I think.
