I'd rather wait an undetermined amount of time. Good things are worth waiting for, right?

Would you rather have your BJDs only look good in photos or only look good in real life?

 

I think I'd prefer to have BJDs that only look good in real life.

Would you rather only buy dolls from the manufacturer, or only buy them from the DOA marketplace?

 

I would buy from the market place. I feel there would always be a good selection of dolls and probably short wait times in comparison to manufacturers.

Would you rather trade someone a few of your currently owned dolls to have your ultimate grail, or go without your dream doll entirely?

 

I would rather have my perfect ideal doll than many things I have owned for a while, after all, what's the point in having a grail if it is not the one thing that is beyond all others for you?

Would you rather have a sparrow doll or a snail doll?

Would you rather only own dolls of one size range or only own dolls from one company?

 

One size range. There are too many beautiful companies out there to choose JUST one. But one size range, you can take all sorts of wonderful cute photos with them together!

Would you rather be able to make the most beautiful doll clothes but unable to paint a doll face on your life, or be able to paint the most wonderful face-ups but all needles stab you and all sewing machines jam at the very mention of your name?

 

I would rather be able to create the most beautiful face ups. I think good face ups are more important than good clothes.

Would you rather only have wigs that never suit your dolls or only have clothes that never suit your dolls?

 

I'd rather have clothes that never suit my dolls. I feel like an unsuitable wig stands out worse than an unsuitable outfit.

Would you rather have all male dolls but only female clothes, or all female dolls but only male clothes?

 

All male dolls with female clothes. I love boys in dresses.

Would you rather travel to a bjd convention or spend the same amount of money on more doll stuff?

 

I would rather spend the money on doll stuff.

Would you rather buy a few expensive outfits or get another doll for that same price you'd have spent on the outfits together?

 

Get the doll, I would spend less on trying to make my own outfit anyway.

Would you rather have 1 doll you connect with, or unlimited dolls that you half heartedly like

 

I would rather unlimited dolls that I only half heartedly like. Connecting with a doll isn't really important to me.

Would you rather never be able to photograph your dolls or never be able to take your dolls to meets?

 

Never be able to take my dolls to meets. Photography is half the hobby for me.

Would you rather have a doll that never needed restringing but needed touch-ups on its face-up all the time, or a doll with a face-up that always looked perfect but constantly had stringing problems?

 

Stringing problems! I'm a pro at restringing dolls.

Would you rather get a body that's a close match to a head you have, or sell the head and wait for a full doll to come available?

 

I would wait and get a body that was a close match.

Would you rather your doll have a pink wig or pink eyes?

 

Pink eyes. One of my tinies already has a pair, and I like them.

Would you rather have eyes that always look a bit crossed or props that are never quite to scale?

 

Props. I'm pants at taking pictures so it wouldn't really make much difference if the props didn't look right!

Would you rather take a great trip to a fabulous foreign destination with your tiniest doll, or go someplace closer (but also awesome) with several of your dolls?

 

Foreign destination with my tiniest doll. I only have two anyway, and my tiny loves to go places!

Would you rather have plenty of time to make doll clothes but very little time for photographs, or the other way around?

 

Clothes, I could sell them and make more money for new dolls, or other things I need in the hobby.

Would you rather have dolls that were cursed to forever taking wonky pictures that never come out right now matter how much you edit them. Or face up that come out wonky no matter who does it.

 

Wonky photos. Like I said, I suck at photos.

Would you rather watch a show about bjds, or play a video game about bjds?

 

Play a video game. Being able to customize them how I want is a big part of the fun for me.
Would you rather have only pastel clothes or only gothic clothes?

Would you rather all your dolls had shoes, but none of their shoes really suited them, or only one doll had shoes, but the shoes were perfect?

 

Wow that's a hard one...I think I'd rather they all have shoes. I'd probably make outfits to try to make the shoes go with them better XD

Would you rather attempt to heavily mod a grail doll's face or attempt to dye a grail doll's skin color?

 

OMG WHAT A HORRIBLE CHOICE! I guess dye her? I could dye over the color if it ends up sucking.

Would you rather never been in the community with peace and love but full of lonlieness of just you and your dolls. Or be in the community where you can make new friends but will always be ridiculed by your friends and family outside of the community?

 

Wow, that is a very sad question, I hope you are ok. My family is very important to me but if they treated me with disrespect all the time I would choose to be with positive people, but I need real people in the flesh, not just an online community so I would seek out human beings that are kind and supportive.
When making a new outfit for one of your characters do you use whatever supplies you have in your stash or do you go out and buy new materials?

 

That's not exactly a "would you rather" question, but I'll answer it anyway. I usually make my dolls' clothes out of whatever leftover materials I have on hand; it's a great way to use up scrap.

Would you rather have a doll with angel wings or bat wings?

No eyes, I have a bunch of eyes in different sizes.

Would you rather do a Halloween photo shoot or do a general fall photo shoot?

 

General autumn photoshoot. I have plenty of leaves and pumpkins in the yard but no halloween costumes for my resin kiddos.

Would you rather buy several dolls at once and have them sit around naked for awhile because you can't afford clothes, or only buy one doll at once and have money left over to buy clothes?

I think I'd take the 3 wishes as I could always wish for $$$$$ to buy my boys with!!

Diorama (I have a version of my grail) and I have too many dolls right now tbh.

I'd rather buy a doll in another country. I'd get a vacation and a new doll.

All colors one size. Most of my boys fall within the SD range anyway.

Broken toes. They can be hidden in shoes, at least.

Someone else's character. I have lots of dolls planned around characters I didn't invent!

I would love to visit both, but if I had to pick one it would be Volks store in Japan!

Female head on a male body, you can always make a Drag queen ;]

That's a tough one. But I gotta say all female.

Grail doll at full price, if she ever shows up in the second hand market.

Would you rather your doll fall and slightly chip their toe, or the limited face up on your doll starts noticibly wearing off on the nose.

I would prefer them to be shoeless, but bald... No way!

Ha, it's not perfect if it doesn't fit, but if I had to chose, I'd pick the better construction since I can sew and alter clothes.
Would you rather take pictures in a diorama or outdoors?

 

Oh I wish I had a massive diorama for my dolls, just a bedoom for each of them would be perfect!

Only SD sized dolls.

All in grey. I can see me doing some kind of elf thing with that, only tan dolls sound boring to me

I would rather have a posable doll with an ugly head, even if the head is considered "ugly" it could still be beautiful and unique in its own way.

Would you rather have a doll with no movable ankles or a doll with movable ankles?

 

Definitely with moveable ankles so she can pose more naturally when her legs are hanging etc.

Would you rather: loose all your dolls in a house fire but the rest of the house and its content is fine or save the dolls and loose the house and it's content instead?

 

Dude, that is one nasty decision. But since most of my dolls have been customized in one way or the other and everything else in the house can be replaced more easily, the fire proof safe holds their COAs so those are safe anyway. I'd prefer to save my dolls.

Would you rather have shoes that fit and look right or too big shoes that make the doll stand steady?
