Hmm well if I passed them down I would have to have some young 'un in my family to love them, and considering my baby brother thinks they're the Lamest Things Ever I'm not sure anybody would be interested haha So I guess I'd sell them to a good new home! Buy my brother something special. (This being an idyllic proposed future where I have no kids and live as an old lady scoundrel with too many dolls and too many cats...) Or maybe I'll just buy myself a reckless old lady vacation xD

Would you rather have an endless supply of poorly made fur wigs in different colors, or only one wig per doll but the wig is perfect and fancy?

 

Totally one perfect fancy wig, they only need one if it's the right one.

Would you rather do your own faceup/ make your own clothes/ wigs/ props or buy them?

Would you rather find your grail doll for a great price but damaged or badly modded or find your grail doll for an outrageous price with no layaway options available?

 

Ooh hard one but I'd have to go outrageous price with no layaway.. Only cause my grail doll id want to be perfect

Definitely have someone else make them. Because lazy.

Would you rather have your doll be shoeless while you look for the perfect fit, or get some that aren't as perfect but at least your doll's feet are covered?

 

I would rather they go shoeless whilst I await the perfect fit. I don't mind the bare footed look anyway so it doesn't bother me and I don't want to settle.

Would you rather save up for a really expensive doll you know is going to take you more than five years to afford brand new without the certainty that they will even continue to produce that doll or settle for a cheaper doll that you could afford much sooner that still like?

 

That's a tough question. I think I'd go for the cheaper doll and hope the more expensive one shows up on the MP for a deal.

If money wasn't a problem, would you rather go to a convention in your own country for easier travel, or go to another country for more experiences?

 

I would rather go to a convention in my own country... It's a bit cheaper and with the dolls already as expensive as they are... I would like to pretend to be frugal about something...

Would you rather get the doll of your dreams with a full set but missing one or 2 pieces or buy prieces individually as you see fit?

 

Buy pieces individually, I like styling my dolls myself.

Would you rather have a beautiful doll from an unknown company, or a beautiful doll from a really popular company?

 

Unknown! There are plenty of less popular companies that have GORGEOUS dolls on my wishlist. It's just that I'm a sucker for Delfs that are on the MP.

Would you rather share doll stuff (clothes, shoes, wigs) with other people who are in the hobby, or keep your things all to yourself?

 

I would share everything! I like to give little gifts to my dolly friends. I've given eyes, wigs, clothes, furniture, even dolls. The only items that I would keep for myself are the things that keep my dolls complete as their characters. Would you rather take your doll's photo in a diorama or in front of a backdrop?

 

Oh very hard diorama just cause I can get in there and make everything how I want it plus miniature stuff is so cute

If you bought your doll a pair of shoes and they are loose but look amazing on her would you sell the loose pair and then search high and low for something similar? or would you keep the loose pair?

 

Keep the loose pair! I might even try to alter them.

I would rather a few dolly friends, sure meeting loads of new people would be nice but I would rather a group of people that I know well so I can geek out with them and have more fun.

The first one. I prefer it cheaper and in scale. I can tweak later.

Hard to move. I'm a terrible photographer and I need a doll to hold a pose for a while to get a decent shot.

Would you rather take the opportunity to travel, but only have one doll with you, or stay in your cozy home town, surrounded by your entire doll horde?

 

Travel with one doll. I want two heavy SDs, so it will probably be the most likely option.

Annoying original body. I'd rather fight with it on occasion than go through a color matching process this early in the hobby.

My BJD only cost me $150 and my macbook, $1200. I can also buy a new doll if she broke. She's readily available.

Would you rather scratch a limited edition faceup, or break a body part while restringing?

 

Definitely scratch a limited edition faceup, it can always be replaced and limited doesn't always mean it's a great faceup.

Would you rather have your favourite bjd destroyed by your mistake or have some person buy every version of your grail doll with the sole intention of destroying them all, making sure you never have your grail doll.

 

My favorite BJD is common and can she replaced easily, so I would rather have it destroyed. I will never find my "grail doll" though... Too rare.

Would you rather have your doll possessed by a demon that is friendly but annoying to you (and doesn't hurt anyone), or have your doll come to life and be the character you gave them but they hate you?

 

Friendly demon. I don't need my doll attacking me.

Oh god what horrible choices! I'm going to go with poor resin match and send the head off to be airbrushed to match the body.

Probably one perfect outfit for each doll... just preference.

Mmmhhh very tough. I would say probably loved and copied by everyone yet I'm not sure how long I could last.

I always have both, nothing good in the background and no light! I'm going with never the perfect lighting, I could always buy some photography equipment!

If you weren't using one of your OCs, would you rather base a doll off of a book/movie or an anime/game?

 

Video game, no doubt. ^_^ There's actually one I want someday but I'm having a hard time talking myself into it...might just cosplay my dolls instead...who knows!

Would you rather have a doll that poses beautifully, but the body is really awkwardly sculpted so it never looks good doing it? Or a doll that poses terrible even with wiring/sueding, but the body is just absolutely drop-dead gorgeously sculpted?

 

Gorgeously sculpted body, because posing can always be manipulated here and there, even if you have to hold the doll in place.

Would you rather have a doll arrive with the completely wrong faceup that cannot be changed no matter what, or the doll arrive with a body blushing that is way too dark for its skin tone and just looks awful?

 

Well, you didn't say I couldn't wipe away the body blushing, so that! And I could hide it with clothes too. On the other hand, if the body blush was permanent I'd go with the wrong face up. Wrong doesn't mean bad, and heads are cheaper and easier to replace than bodies, depending on the company...

Would you rather be able to only get your one and only "grail" doll, the one you want but cannot seem to find, and only be able to have that one, or be able to get unlimited dolls but never have the one you truly want?

 

The one and only grail doll, because I feel that I would be able to have the pleasure of bonding with my dream doll, whereas having any just wouldn't give me the same happiness.

Would you rather have people always try to make you feel ashamed of owning dolls as an adult, or have people never leave you alone about your dolls and always insist on borrowing them and touching them without permission? (Think paparazzi annoying.)

 

I'd rather have people try to make me feel ashamed of owning them - with all the attention they'd be getting with the other option, I'd be worried for their safety.

Would you rather only own dolls under 20cm or only own dolls over 60cm tall?

 

Over 60. Both dolls I'm looking at are just over that size.
