Human makeup, at least theres different colours that I can use.

Would you rather your grail doll but it has cracks all over it and is grimy or a doll you dont really want but its pristine and unbroken

 

Damaged grail doll, I love a project, and I've done a little doll restoration before, it would be a challenge, but just imagine the feeling of bringing them back to their former glory.

Would you rather, your doll was left in the sun for 1 hour or left in the last meetup area overnight?

 

Last meetup area!! It was at a nice small restaurant, I know they'd keep the doll safe in the back until I came to claim it.

Would you rather travel with your doll in the city or out hiking for a photoshoot, with no carrying luggage in either setting? Meaning you have to carry them in your arms either way.

 

I would rather the city! Sure ill get weird looks but theres more shade so the doll wouldn't be damaged as much

Would you rather hate the next doll you buy or hate your first doll?

 

My next doll! I'm completely emotionally attached the to the first one, I'd die if I hated her. I could just sell the new one.

Would you rather have amazing dolls and be a terrible photographer, or have nice dolls and take great pictures of them?

 

I would rather the second option. Especially since I have several big photoshoots planned...

Would you rather do a doll photoshoot in the rain or do a doll photoshoot in the dark?

 

A doll shoot in the rain would be tricky, but OH would it look good if done correctly!

Would you rather buy a complete outfit or buy separate pieces?

 

I would rather buy separate pieces, since I like to mix and match outfits for my dolls.

Would you rather style your doll in goth fashion or in luxury (think Vogue) fashion?

 

If I had to pick.... Probably luxury. I like class, and as much as I like dark clothes, my current doll is a little too classy and bright for that lol.

Would you rather make your own eyes or buy cheaply made ones?

 

Honestly, I'd rather make my own. I have more control, more options, and more room to experiment. I've discovered a wonderful new technique using magazine clippings, for example.

Would you rather do an offsite roleplay with someone and have the relationships in your doll family take on a whole new twist or keep it all "canon" and miss out on a great story?

 

I would rather do an offsite roleplay since nothing in my stories stay canon without changing a ridiculous amount (/_\)

Would you rather the character for your next doll to be a theater geek or music geek?

 

Knowing firsthand what goes into being a theater geek, I think a music geek. Just sayin'...

Would you rather have a mermaid or have a centaur?

 

Centaur!!! I would probably never buy a fantasy mold, but of those two options I would definitely want a centaur. They are just so cool as a species.

Would you rather all of your dolls shrink a size (e.g. SD to MSD; MSD to YO-SD) or grow a size?

 

Grow. There's something beautiful about larger dolls.

Would you rather have matching tattoos with your dolls or have a tattoo of your dolls. (Assuming the person answering this has/wants tattoos)

 

Having a matching tattoo! I honestly have considered about this before XD

Would you rather dress your doll in monochrome or rainbow colors?

 

Blond! Then I can match all of them!

Would you rather pose your dolls outside with the potential for yellowing and dirt, or inside in dioramas, but without the great light you get outside?

 

Probably outside. As expensive as they are, they're still my things and I can do with them as I'd like.... And I want to play with them lol. Besides, I can always wash the dirt off.

Would you rather have only heads, or only bodies?

 

In a restaurant. My roommate and I do that all the time anyways, and the attention we get is always nice (even if my little Kaoru-kun is mistaken for a girl by every other person...).

Would you rather make a doll of your favorite character or make a character of your favorite doll?

Doll meet would be ton times better >< I don't want to risk my my doll with people who doesn't know how valuable it is to me.

Typically, I do both but I would rather just sell old doll stuff. Any more hours of work a week and I'm going to fall apart at the seams.

Would you rather one perfect pair of eyes, or multiple pairs that are close?

 

One perfect pair. Changing eyes is nice, but I'd rather have perfection.

Would you rather...give really minute details to your face up artist about how you want the face up, or give a general idea and let his/her artistic abilities go wild?

 

I like picking an artist whose style I like and telling them to go wild. After all, you do your best work when doing something you like, right?

Would you rather a slightly bobble headed hybrid or a hybrid with a resin mismatch?

 

I would rather resin mismatch, I can't really stand big heads on little bodies.

Would you rather have all the clothes you want but only 1 doll or all the dolls you want but they all have one outfit?

 

That's a hard one. I'd say one doll and all the clothes. I'm all about the clothes.

Would you rather buy dolly food like Rement or learn to make it with polymer clay?

 

Hmmmm...well depends on the food but I enjoy trying to make things so I'm gonna go with that.

Would you rather have an artist doll that is beautiful but an odd clothing/wig size, or a more plain doll that fits pretty much anything?

 

Artist doll. I make wigs, I have tutorials for basic clothing and like to improvise. I'd rather the doll I love, even if it makes clothing hard.

Would you rather a beautiful doll that poses terribly, or a great poser that's only average.

 

Beautiful but poses terribly (I'm looking at you, Bri). I enjoy dressing and styling dolls even if they don't pose worth squat. I know I wouldn't really bond with an eh doll.

Would you rather sell a doll to a friend and know you're going to see him/her change a doll you invested a lot of time in (maybe even ruin the doll) or sell it on the MP so that you never know if your doll was abused later?

 

Personally I'd rather not sell my doll at all. But to answer the question, I'd most likely sell it to a trusted friend who's also into the hobby instead. That way, I could still pay my doll some visits here and there.

If you were given the order to choose only one doll from your collection and give away the rest, who would it be and why?

 

That's not really a "would you rather" but I would keep my Withdoll Emma, Rory. She's the main character of my book and she inspires me in my writing.

Would you rather buy a limited or sale doll you're not sure you love or buy a basic sculpt that you've admired for a while?

 

I would rather buy the limited doll cos i know i'll develop character or idea later. Plus once the limited/sale is done it'll be hard to find it later, and i dont have patience.

Would you rather sell a doll that always gets a tons of likes whenever you posted pictures but you dont have connection to or sell the doll that is your favorite in your crew but dont get even half of the likes and attention.

 

I would sell the doll I don't particularly like of course! If people like him a lot then I'm sure he'll find a better home. And besides, I don't think I can bear to part with my favourite (':

Would you rather buy an item at a low price from a seller with no feedback, or buy the same item at scalper's price from a seller with excellent feedback?

 

Hmm, that is a tough one. I'd probably go with low price and cross my fingers that the stuff gets to me!

Would you rather keep a doll's default face up, even if it means your doll is dirty and yellow, or wipe the face up and get a new one, after using some de-yellowing techniques?

 

Wipe the face up and de-yellow as much as I can! Can always try to replicate the face up!

You get your new doll in the mail but uh oh, there is a problem! Would you rather it smell like smoke or be covered in pet fur?

 

I'd rather my doll be covered in pet fur because it wouldn't be too hard to brush all of that fur off! It'd be much more difficult to get rid of the smoke smell.

Would you rather have an unlimited supply of alpaca fiber to make wigs or an unlimited supply of face up materials?

 

Face up materials! I'd rather learn to do face ups that make wigs.

Would you rather have an animal bjd for a bjd's pet, or a plush/felted/sculpted pet?

 

Animal BJD. There's a lot of really nice ones around.

Taking pictures!! I am pretty good at making clothes right now and not so good at photo composition.

That's a really interesting question! I'd rather have and amputee. Bugs aren't my thing.

Normal skin. Most of my dolls are normal skin.

I would much rather have a sweet doll, idk why I'm just into cute dresses and stuff

Clothes. If I tried to sculpt dolls they'd probably all look the same. I enjoy exploring the art of other artists!

I would rather bring my current friends in because I'm paranoid about not making new friends.

I'd rather take a doll with no faceup or wig, since people might sell their own wigs at a meetup

It would depend on the sculpt. I'd probably go with yellowed and turn it into a fantasy/fully airbrushed doll.

Would you rather get your grail doll and no other dolls ever OR never get your grail and have as many dolls as you want?

 

Never get my grail doll. I've got more than ten and love them all. I had a chance to get what I thought my grail doll was, and decided I liked a different doll more.

Would you rather get free shoes or a free wig?

 

Free shoes. I already have tons of wigs. I need shoes.

Would you rather base a doll on a character from a book/movie/series or on one of your OCs?

 

I'd rather have it based off of an OC. There's so much more freedom that way.

Would you rather work on a mini animal BJD or a mini humanoid BJD?

 

Given that I have a lot of human BJDs already, I would rather work on a mini animal BJD.

Would you rather use a sunny day or a rainy day as a backdrop for photoshoot? Why?

 

That's a tough choice, I like both! I'd go with sunny, since I don't have any doll sized umbrellas!

Would you rather have all resin dolls or throw in some off topic dolls for variety?

 

All resin. BJDs are the only dolls I've ever been interested in.

Would you rather your doll got a big chip on her headcap, where it is concealed by the wig, or would you rather your doll snapped off a finger?

 

now if i could go ahead and replace the item that is broken i would rather have the hand. they are easily changeable and always sold. but if i cant replace it i would rather have the headcap.

Perfect dollie. Even though most of my dolls stay in the same few outfits, clothes and styles can always change with the perfect size shape and color dollie you can let the doll lead you into clothing ideas you didn't even think of and are not as locked in...i think with the perfect outfit I would feel like that is it and be locked in...maybe i am weird

I would rather my doll chip an ear. That would be easier to repair and not as noticeable.

Would you rather sell all of your dolls or take out loans if things got tough?

 

Take out loans if I can, the dolls, with the time and effort I've invested in faceups and outfits are worth more to me than the money I could get for them.

Would you rather have completed fullsets or fully customized looks?
