Would you rather have a bit of dirt in your doll's faceup or a small scratch(not enough to be damaging, just visible) somewhere on its body?

 

Definitely face-up. I'm a face-up artist so I can easily change it

Would you rather have cheap, mediocre face-ups on all your dolls or a very expensive but stunning face-up on one doll? Both are the same price.

 

I would rather have a stunning faceup on one.... I would rather take the time/patience to get them all done properly than speed ahead and get them all done cheaply!

If you were to accidentally break any part of your doll, would you rather break the nose or part of a limb (leg or arm)?

 

I would prefer part of a limb, I can replace a arm or leg but I cant stand anything on the face breaking.

Would you rather a free blank doll or a free outfit (including eyes and a wig)?

 

At this point I'd rather have a free outfit. Too many dolls, too lazy to sew anything. *sigh*

I'd spend it on faceups. I have several dolls that are waiting.

Would you rather have minor damage (a scratch, etc) on your doll's face where you'd see it every time you looked at her, or major damage (a break) on a limb where it wouldn't be as noticable or could be covered? In either case you would not be able to repair it for at least a year.

 

I would always rather a limb being broken since its cheaper to fix.

Would you rather a miniature theater or miniature library for your dolls?

 

Miniature library...I actually tried to make one before with real mini books but the company failed me because I paid for the subscription (you pay and they send you a mini book every month and at the end of 12 months they would send you the mini bookcase for all the books) but they skipped me like 3 months and when I inquired why, they just ignored me so I demanded for a refund and no more books from them. :/

Would you rather have all the dolls you want or just one doll that it is perfect in every way?

Someone that is used to make them, even if I got 100 hours of clases I would still suck at painting xD

I think I would keep them; my grail isn't a limited sculpt and one day I'll get him

I would rather be a seamstress I think. Making fun and original cloths for my doll would be fun. And I could use my knowledge to saw for myself to.

Normal! I want all of my dolls to look like little humans. I gravitate towards sculpts with more realistic features. My most anime-ish looking doll is the luts 2013 kdf winter event head.

Would you rather have mohair wigs for fiber wigs?

 

In most cases, I would rather have fiber wigs because they generally fit my aesthetic more.

Would you rather only own one doll that is your grail doll, or own several dolls that you are fond of?

 

I'm greedy so the latter please!

Glued. That way if I decide I don't like them in the future, I can change them.

A couple of wigs for sure. My dolls are forever changing.

Probably all of them, I'd rather have to save up to customize them all than have to save for dolls that could be (or already are) discontinued. Once I have them I don't mind waiting to complete them. Though I do have a lot of wishlist dolls...

Supposing you could have one of your dolls come to life and be your assistant (like a persocom in Chobits except actually alive and able to talk with you) would you rather it be a 1/3(or larger) scale doll, or a tiny you could hold in your hand and sit on your desk?

 

A tiny! They're just so cute!

Would you rather get a rare, discontinued doll that many people want (but you don't particularly want), or a common doll that you've wanted for a while but haven't gotten?

 

The common doll for sure. I would only see the discontinued doll as a possible money maker for buying other dolls...

Would you rather be able to customize all your doll stuff with your own hands or buy/comission them from other people?

 

Mm, customize them. I'm able to do that (for the most part)and it saves a ton of money and ensures that you get exactly what you have in mind. Usually.

Would you rather not be able to restring dolls without help, or not be able to photograph them because of low-quality cameras (two things I'm struggling with rn tbh...) ?

 

Def not able to restring, I love taking pics of my dolls but don't restring them very often so if I needed help it wouldn't be a huge issue.

Would you rather have a character in place for your doll and try to make the doll fit the character, or have the doll arrive and try to create a character around the doll?

 

I would create a character around the doll.
Would you rather buy an anthro bjd or anime styled one?

 

Anthro. I have my eye on a Zuzu Kid Delf Corni.

Would you rather companies made more slim/less muscular boy bodies, or chubby/plus size girl bodies?

 

If they could actually make a good looking chubby girl body, I'd say go for that.

Feet and hands! I really like well-sculpted hands, and well-sculpted feet are kinda rare, so it'd be nice. More people would be able to see those and appreciate them too, lol - and a detailed vulva would be arty and pretty on a doll that was equally detailed, but might look awkward on some bjds.

Would you rather have a doll with a design that emphasizes their joints (Think dolls with heart cutouts in their joints, or just prominent joints) or one that hides the joints (Think those Fairyland joints that have little slidy things that hide them, etc)?

 

I guess it would depend on the doll size. I think emphasis like heart cutouts would be cute on smaller dolls and hidden joints would be better for larger dolls.

Would you rather Have infinite doll money but only be able to order from one company, or very limited money but you get to buy from any company you want?

 

It depends what company I could buy from... I'd rather have limited money, but a chance to buy from any company.

I would prefer a floating body, I already have too many floating heads.

^ That depends on character, actually. I love both Luts and Iplehouse, for example. So, whichever I have the funds for gets bought first.

I would rather no dolls and many clothes so when I get a doll it'll already have a full wardrobe.

Definitely a crack. I'm okay at repairing stuff like that, and hopefully it wouldn't be a noticeable one.

I'd rather a lot of clothes. I can always make/find accessories when I'm not worried about whether or not my babies are nekkid...

Would you rather have a company that makes gorgeous dolls but is generally rude to customers or a company that makes okay dolls but is always nice to customers?

 

That is an extremely hard question to answer and i love it. I'll have to say, in the end it'll come down to price. If they were both the same price, I'd definitely purchase the gorgeous dolls. Even though it would be an unpleasant experience trying to get them here, it would be worth it to have a doll I'd enjoy much longer.

Would you rather do a face-up for one of your close friends, no payment, but they have no complaints or qualms with what you're doing, or do a face-up commission for a complete stranger who pays you well, but is generally a real headache to work with and constantly asks you to do something over, and berates you for doing something wrong.

 

If I could do faceups, I'd rather do one for a friend with no complaints. Though, I would be nervous that I'd mess up and they would secretly hate it and just not tell me because it was done for free >.<

Would you rather get one big doll (SD or bigger) once every few years, or get little dolls (MSD or smaller) once or twice a year?

 

Get little dolls once or twice a year. That's pretty much what I do anyway...

You running late to an out of town doll meet up and you realize you forgot your camera at home! Would you rather go without your camera and show up just a little late or turn around to get your camera and show up half way through the meet up?

 

I'd rather just leave my camera. I have my phone anyway.

Would you rather find a doll online that you love but have it take three to four months to ship or find an in-stock doll that you only kind of like but have it ship immediately?

 

The second. I can be patient if I want, and BJDs are expensive.

The first, honestly. There are ways to fix that, even if only temporarily...

Ooh that's a tough one... on one hand I'm not sure my family would know what kind of doll I want, but on the other hand I wouldn't want to have to thank/be in debt to someone I hate... I'll choose family!

Considering any doll I've considered a "grail" has already been bought by me...I'll take the first.

Would you rather have a doll with no name or the perfect name with no doll?

 

I would much rather have a doll with no name... right now one of my girls has no last name (and went through quite a few names before settling on the one she has now). My third last doll had the perfect name picked out for them before they got here, and as soon as I saw their little face, they were like nope, call me this instead! Granted, it wasn't their whole name that changed, just what they wanted me to call them.

Would you rather have to mod a male doll's face/body to fit a girl character, or mod a female doll's face/body to fit a boy character?

 

Mod the girl. I like more feminine boys and it's easier to do a female to male mod on the body.

Would you rather...have someone guess what clothes/accessories you'd like and buy them for you (a personal gift) or get a gift card to a doll shop (impersonal gift)?

 

I would rather be gifted clothes/accessories since it makes them special since I was gifted them

Ominous/creepy would work better with my dolls for sure! Plus that's more my general style.

Would you rather shell out for an old limited edition that fits your character perfect or try to mod something new/cheaper?

 

I'd go for the cheaper option and mod XD I feel like I would love the character more if i'd but time and energy into it!

If you had to, would you rather sell your most expensive doll, or sell two (or more!) of your cheaper dolls to cover emergency expenses?

 

Two cheaper ones. Sol would be damned hard to re-purchase once my finances sorted out.

I would rather have a lot of dolls and slowly complete their wardrobe since that's what I plan to do in the future XD
