Would you rather write a story about your dolls or make a photostory?

 

I think i would prefer writing a story- i'm rather good at writing, than in making photos

if you found a doll somewhere, would you rather try to find the owner, or just left the doll with you without any pricks of conscience?

 

I think I would try to find the owner, but than it's possible that other people just claim the doll even when trey are not the owner.

Would you rather save up for a doll or buy them on layaway?

 

I'd rather save up. Knowing I have the full amount right away makes me feel more secure about my finances

Would you rather only get dolls from other people for gift-giving holidays like Christmas or your birthday, or only you can buy the dolls with absolutely no help from anybody else?

 

I like to choose what i get and feel independent about my decision.without others knowing how much i paid for them XD

Which gender of dolls do you collect? Male or female? or both

 

Female I started out collecting male but have since decided I prefer girls

would you rather dress your doll in really bad quality clothes that don't suit it at all, or keep your doll naked?

 

Naked! I'm so picky about clothes and their body sculpts are always so detailed.

Would you rather that your dolls come alive at night or when you're not in the room (a la Toy Story), or would you rather they danced when you played music?

 

Danced! That would be awesome.

Would you rather see a BJD with a scorpion lower half, or an octopus one?

 

Hmmm. i think with a scorpio it's a nice idea. it could be very beautiful doll.

During the photoshoots would you rather put your dollies in snow/mud or in the water?

 

I've put them in the snow before, but I'm not going to put them in the mud or water.

When you go to an meet up would you rather keep your dolls inside their travel bags or let them see the world by taking them out of the travel bag?

 

I keep them in the bags until I get to my destination, so they won't get damaged in transit.

Would you rather have a doll that reeks of cigarette smoke, or one that reeks of strong perfume?

 

Strong perfume. I'm guilty of spraying perfume in the same room as (pretty much right beside) my dolls, so perfume wouldn't bother me quite so much. Cigarette smoke gives me a migraine. >.>

Would you rather eyes that are too big for your doll, or too small?

 

Too small. Giant eyes in dolls drive me bonkers

Would you rather pay off a looooooooooong layaway but have the doll arrive within 36 hours, or a doll that you could pay off instantly but takes 30 days to get to you?

 

Pay off instantly and wait. I'm always worried that I'm going to mess up with a layaway, or something will get messed up. I'd much rather get that part out of the way, less stress.

You're given $600. Would you rather put the money towards the next doll on your wishlist, or buy eyes, wigs, clothes, etc. for the dolls you already have?

 

I would buy a doll. I don't pay much attention to eyes, wigs, clothes, so i don't even have such problem of choice.

The doll you were waiting to come for a long period of time is finally at home…and totally disappoints you. You look at the doll and wonder- how could you buy it?!
Would you sell it as soon as possible or would you try to fell in love with it again? or maybe you give it to someone? So, what would you do?

 

I would probably try to remember why I fell in love with the doll, but if I couldn't I would sell it. My answer would probably be a little different if it was a limited doll, if so I would give myself more time to fall in love again.

Would you rather get a bunch of dolls that you love the sculpts but had and would never have back stories or would you rather have only one doll that is the perfect embodiment of one of your favorite characters?

 

The bunch of dolls I love the sculpts of. I can always create a character for them!

If someone offered you the choice of A) a rare limited that's beautiful but not quite your style (wrong size, different aesthetic, etc); or B) an unlimited doll that's perfect, which would take?

 

A Rare limited. Then sell it and buy something to my liking+anything else I can get for her using the money.

Would you rather go to doll meets in a public setting or a private setting?

 

Private. I've been to both, and our group (I don't know if it's true for other groups) can get really, really noisy. In public venues, I always feel sorry for others (customers, employees, etc) that aren't part of our group having to put up with us!

Would you rather have a centaur doll, or a sphinx one?

 

hmm hard to tell. Centaur if i had to choose XD

What is your favourite make of dolls?

 

Hard to really say. I have three different sized dolls, from four different companies. DollZone has the most sculpts I like out of any other company, but SoulDoll has some gorgeous ones too. Fairyland's Minifee's are adorable, and I like how the face plates are interchangable, and how the hands and feet are magnetic. :/

Would you rather have a doll that is too big/small for your collection that is PERFECT for a character you want to shell, or a doll that is the right size, but isn't quite what you're looking for characterwise?

 

Ooh I'm having that dilemma right now! If the character I want needs to go with other dolls & cannot fit in well at all with its height I'd have to go with one that is the right size.

Would you rather find the perfect head and body pair for your doll, but their skin tones be slightly different or would you just settle with the default body so to not worry about skin tone differences?

 

I would definitely do for the body and hand pair... aside from blushing, you can conceal most colour differences with wardrobe choices... a face that doesn't work for me would drive me crazy

Would you rather buy a doll whose face is OK from a company you are familiar with or a doll whose face is absolutely perfect from a company you've never heard of??

 

I'd buy the doll from a company I've never heard of. I've done it a handful of times and never been disappointed!

Would you rather see a company who carries all sizes -- SD, MSD, Tiny, Yo-SD, micro-tinies -- with fully androgynous faces and bodies, or a company where every face and body is distinctly male or female?

 

Androgynous faces/bodies. Then I'd dress them up in androgynous clothes and challenge people to guess the gender. Would be a fun experiment!

Would you rather have to manage one hundred duck-sized dolls, or one horse-sized doll?

 

Uhh that's a hard question. ... neither? XD 100 is too many. Whereas I would need a tow to move the big one around x.x

Would you ever sell any of your dolls just because you had money trouble?

 

No I wouldn't sell them. I thought about selling a collectible barbie I had once, but couldn't part with it.

Would you rather have a stain on your doll or have a small crack?

 

Most likely a stain. Depends where the crack would be. I would be scared it breaks further.

Do you prefer ready made clothes or do you make them yourself?

 

I prefer ready made clothes^^

Would you rather do face-up by yourself or send your dolls to a face-up artist who would take more than half a year to complete?

 

Send it off and wait six months. I'm used to waiting in this hobby; besides, I've had that exact scenario happen before. Wasn't too bad, especially since I LOVED the result! Too bad she isn't doing face-ups any more. I'd send off more to her, even with the looooong turn around. So worth it.

Would you rather have a sky-blue doll, or a jet-black one?

 

Jet black! He'd match everything, including my cats, and would be really fun to dress up in white. I love contrast

Would you rather have a box of very large props that you always know where they are but take up a ton of space, or a large box of tiny props (size of your thumb or smaller) that are constantly getting lost? (I have both...)

 

A Box with larger props. I get so frustrated when I lose things (which is all the time) >.<

Would you rather be able to buy only dolls that have a faceup OR blank dolls, so that you had to do your own?

 

Out of sheer laziness, prolly buy ones that already have face ups.

Would you rather have your most prized doll lose all of its limbs to a dog, or its head?

 

:O the horror! Probably the limbs, I'd just buy another body....the head though

That's a hard one. Probably only one doll for forever.

Would you rather try to fix chipped resin or stained resin?

 

Stained. I'd freak if there were a chip in my doll.

Would you rather be buried with your doll, or pass it down as a family heirloom?

 

Pass her down! No doll deserves to be buried with decaying body(or burned in a giant oven, 'cause i choose cremation), that's pretty gross. ^^

Would you rather sell one of your dolls to buy the doll of your dream that's long gone and no more being sold but you found it on the marketplace, or let it be sold to someone else but keep the dolls you already have?

 

Definitely sell one of my dolls to buy my dream doll; It's my dream doll!

Would you rather have a BJD with three eyes (one in the middle of the forehead and two on either cheek) or one with 12 fingers/toes on each hand/foot?

 

Three eyes, so each one can be a different color! (Colorwheel eyes. xD)

Would you rather take your doll on a cruise or a safari (with no risk of it being damaged or lost) for a photoshoot?

 

Safari-- unless I were able to take the doll along if we landed at various spots while on the cruise.

If all dolls were just $100, would you rather spend money to expand your collection or use the money to complete the dolls you already own?

 

Expand my collection, you can never have too many!

Would you rather lose a doll and not know where or be forced to give your favorite away, but know it will be taken care of.

 

Forced to give away, I can't stand to lose things, I hate thinking what could of happened to the poor thing...so it's better to know I sent them off them to have lost them.

Only sleeping clothes. Sock clothes hen bu xi huan.

Blue. I do not want any pink dolls, but blue would be cool.

Do you prefer to dress your dolls only in modern or fantasy/ historic clothes?

 

Historical/Fantasy. I feel like they'd always stand out if that were the case. xDDD

Would you rather get a free faceup-body blush from your favourite artist or a free outfit from your favourite shop?

 

Outfit. Because I could get like a set and that would be cool. But other than the original faceup my doll comes with I don't want to have other people paint on her I want to do it.

Centaur body for sure. Two-legged hooves are sometimes hard to stand and pose! Centaurs are super easy and awesome to pose.


Do you prefer fur wigs or fiber wigs on boy dolls?

 

Fiber. I've seen some really great fur wigs that I love the look of, but I seem to have better luck with the fiber ones.

Would you rather have a fire-themed or ice-themed doll?

 

I have a wintery-theme going on, so I'll say an ice-themed doll!

Would you rather dress you doll in only bright rainbows, or monotone?

 

Monotone, I'm not a real colorful person xD

Have an outfit you ordered turn out to be hideous, or a wig?

 

Outfit. I've had a hard time finding wigs I like but no problem finding tons of outfits.

Would you rather have your grail doll (but not be allowed any other dolls) or have lots of dolls (but they can't be a favorite)?

 

Definitely my grail doll! I'd rather have one really special one than a bunch I don't completely adore.

Floating head or Headless body?

 

I'll go with headless body 'cause I'm trying to make my own heads.
