I'd rather buy the dolls I hate (because I wouldn't buy them, I'd just leave the hobby^^) if only I can keep the ones I currently have....I think I have all the dolls I need^^

Would you rather have ALL the dolls you wish for, with all the outfits, wigs, face ups etc OR win $1million with the condition of getting rid of your current BJD family and not buying any dolls for the rest of your life?

would you rather have all the shoes you have ever wanted for your BJDs (All of them) OR have the best face-up ever for ONE of your dolls?

 

all the shoes. Shoes are expensive either way, it doesn't change. but a talent can be practiced so id be able to give great faceups sooner or later.

would you rather make your own doll and have 100 percent artist choice on how it looks from scratch or get it made with no choice at all

 

Well i guess it depends on the sculpt, But i acually would have no choice at all (especially if it were a fairyland doll)
Would you rather have the skills to do an amazing face up or be able to make amazing wigs?

once I find a wig I like I rarely change it but I'd love to be able to do my own face-ups in case my doll's chips or something

would you rather only have dolls of the same size or dolls of different sizes but they can only be from one company?

 

Dolls of the same size. The majority of my dolls are SD sized, so I would be ok with sticking with that size.

If there were a zombie outbreak, would your dolls be zombie food or zombie killers?

 

They would probably be the ones starting it...

Would you rather be able to simply sew every type of article of clothing, or would you like to be a master craftsman of one specific type?

 

Every type. I guess if it's "simple" then the complex costumes I'd still commission.

Would you rather have a designated room/area for your dolls or place them randomly about the house?

 

Specific room/place for them. I only have an SD and tiny and hardly have space for them in my room!

would you rather have a cute Halloween costume for your doll or a scary one?

 

Scary. I'm not really into the cutesy Halloween thing.

Would you rather have a doll of the god Pan or Apollo?

 

Pan, because I love satyr sculpts.

Cybernetics/robot parts: Limb or head?

 

I prefer robot parts to be on the body, having it on the head but not limbs would be strange.

Would you rather have the perfect faceup for your doll or the perfect wig/eye/clothing?

 

Perfect faceup. While I usually settle on a wig and eyes as "theirs," I'm ok with changing that up more often. Clothes, that gets changed according to my whim.

Would you rather permanently lose a OOAK doll in the mail, or have it arrive broken beyond repair?

 

I'd rather lose it for sure! ;___;

Would you rather have your dog chew your doll, or a small child [relation or babysitting, whatever] draw on it with sharpie?

would your doll rather goes travel all around the world by bicycle or stay at home and do other activity?

 

I'd rather stay home and do all I want :P Because I am a pretty lazy person. Although l love to travel, doing it by bike sounds just too exhausting...

Keep the dolls I have now. I've already bonded with them and love them, I could never give them up!

Say you had a chance to go into space and you can only take one thing. Would you rather take your doll or something more practical?

 

As awesome as it would be to take the 1st BJD out into space, I probably would be more likely to take something practical, like a Swiss Army knife or something.

Going with the traveling theme: would you rather take your dolls to a tropical island with sparkling water and flowers everywhere; or a historic city filled with beautiful architecture?

 

Historical city for sure!!! Neither I, nor my doll like sunlight and warm weather. rofl

Would your doll rather learn karate or yoga?

 

I think Amber would rather learn yoga. Even though she looks like a spoiled brat, punk rocker kind of girl on the outside, she still needs to relax, not kick butts sometimes.

Would you rather own a very pretty off-topic doll (that you cant alk about on DoA T_T), or a not as pretty on-topic doll you can talk about?

 

If it's off-topic because it doesn't fit the criteria, such as not jointed or strung with string, etc., then I'll be fine with having the very pretty off-topic doll. I can always talk about my other on-topic dolls or other people's dolls on DOA. If it's off-topic because it's a recast, then I'll take the not-as-pretty one. I'll never support recasting in any form or fashion.

Would you rather have a pirate captain fullset or a western gunfighter one?

 

Pirate captain--especially if its reminiscent of Edward Kenway's outfit from AC4: Black Flag.

Would you rather have outfits for every season for one doll, or several pairs of shoes for all your dolls?

 

Outfits for one season... while I have multiple dolls, I always seem to find myself longing for specific pieces of clothing for one doll in particular...

Would you rather have a cat anthro doll or a bunny anthro doll?

 

Cat Anthro! Have characters that fit it!

Would you rather own a lot of BJDs or only a few?

 

I trying desperately to stick to only a few, but every time I look around, I find another someone to add to my collection TT^TT

Wigs/Eyes. I can make my own clothes and most of the time my dolls go barefoot (or wear socks ).

Would you rather buy a doll sculpt that you love slightly damaged off the marketplace for much cheaper, or take longer to buy it brand new from the company? (Also considering wait time vs. having to restore damage)

 

I'd rather wait and get it brand new. I've never had to restore a doll before and I'd be scared I'd mess it up.

Would you rather give up your absolute favourite food for the rest of your life, or give up collecting dolls?

 

Favorite food, honestly. It would actually be better for my health that way. ^.^'

Would you rather have a doll with a chip in a joint, or a stain that you can't get out?

 

Stain. You can cover that with clothes, blushing, or bleach or sand it. A chipped joint might prevent proper movement of the joint!

Would you rather get exquisite replacement hands for your doll, even if they don't match in resin color, or get perfectly matching hands that don't look good from every angle?

 

I'd jump on the perfect hands as long as they're not jointed, then they could be blushed, but joints throw kinks into the plans XD

Would you rather a doll that's slightly too tall for what you have in mind, or slightly too short?

 

So long as it were a male doll Id rather it be slightly too tall.

Would you rather a perfect wig that tangles easy or a perfect wig that is the wrong color?

 

A perfect wig that tangles easily. I've had to deal with them before and once you've neatened them up they can look amaaazing, just takes a bit of patience. The wrong colour wouldn't be so fixable

If you were going to receive a doll as a gift from a friend, would you rather it be a surprise doll that they chose specially for you, or a doll of your choosing?

 

A doll of my own choosing! I'm incredibly fussy about which dolls I want, and so if they picked something for me without knowing, we'd just both end up feeling bad (me for struggling to appreciate the gift, and them for getting me something I didn't enjoy).

Which would you rather, an amazingly flexible doll that poses marvellously, but that doesn't look pretty, or a doll that looks gorgeous but is less articulated and difficult to pose?

 

The amazingly flexible doll that is not so pretty. I feel like the looks of the doll would grow on me and I would see them more for their character then for them not being as pretty ^^".

Say that you are planning to pair up one of you dolls with a boyfriend/girlfriend doll, your choices are either a doll that is overly tall or a doll that is the same height proportions but of another species (like a cat doll or other types of animal-dolls)

 

Tough choice, but I'd probably have to go with the overly tall option, especially if it's a boy, mostly because I'm not a huge fan of anthros on a large scale...

Would you rather a perfectly made ball-jointed Dragon or a perfectly made ball-jointed Griffin?

 

A dragon! A long dragon with a lion face would be amazing!

Would you rather have all your dolls the same size or no two dolls the same size?

 

It depends how big the size difference is. But if you mean having one MSD, one SD, one tiny... etc, then I'd rather have all one size. And I think that size would be MSD. I like my dolls to be able to interact with each other, and it wouldn't work if they were all very different size

Would you rather have a doll with a very noticeable chip in its face (that couldn't be repaired) or a doll with a missing limb?

 

Missing limb. A piece of polimer clay will solve the problem, i think.

Would you rather go abroad on Christmas holidays with your friends, or buy a new doll, which one you were dreaming about for a long time?

 

Easy one! I'd rather get a new doll! Can't go abroad anyway with critters that need daily attention and nobody else around into lizards, fish and birds!

Would you rather trade off or sell off all the extra old body parts like hands, feet, etc., that you have hanging around and get a new doll, or keep them just in case one of your older dolls breaks something and you need a part replacement?

 

I'd rather keep them unless someone else really needs them. It's not like I'd get a lot of money for them anyway, and they're not difficult to store.

Would you rather have one very close doll collector friend in real life, or a big group of friends that you only talk to at the occasional meet and over the internet?

 

Without, I do blushing and Face Ups myselve.

What do you prefere, buying specific dollclothes for money or getting "themed" clothes in a swap (like exchanging goods and a vague sense of surprise included)?

 

I hate surprises, i like to know, what i buy. so i would prefere buying things for money.

What would you prefer- be talented in sewing clothes or in drawing make-ups?

 

If I had to choose one, I'd say making clothes. It would save a lot of money on buying from the companies or even commissions from seamstresses.

If you could only have one size of doll for your entire collection, would you rather have MSDs or SDs?

 

MSDs! most of my dolls are MSDs as it is. I like the weight and the size...SDs are a bit too big for me.

Would you rather theme your dolls to be characters from something popular (like doctor who, MLP, adventure time, lord of the rings, all those animes, etc...) or make up your own theme?

 

Make up my own theme. Sure, it's cool to have dolls based on popular culture, but I think it kinda lacks in ability to do certain things (If you have a doll based on Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII, it kinda limits what clothes he could wear/would wear. You wouldn't want to put him in a yellow t-shirt and jeans, for instance. It would go against the character.)

I'd rather keep my first doll. No way I'd sell my Alba. I love her way too much.

Well one of the doll's face-ups I have now is so perfect I never want it to change, but another doll I have although it's beautiful I do want to change it for her character

Would you rather have a doll that is made of a super beautiful resin, but you have to handle it gently and with gloves or an average/acceptable resin but can touch and treat it however you like?

 

A doll with average resin that I can handle. I'm sure I would only end up damaging the super beautiful resin *is pretty clumsy*

Would you rather keep your dolls in a doll-sized room (with furniture etc) or arranged in a display cabinet?

 

I would rather have my doll naked, if I cannot find the perfectly suitable clothes, wig and makeup.

 

^^ I would rather have them in doll size room. Much prettier to look at.

Would you rather get free clothes for your dolls for life, or get free accessories for your dolls for life?

 

Free clothes! Not all my dolls wear accessories, and the ones that do, I've pretty much gotten what I wanted for them.

Would you rather take a year-long vacation to your dream destination, not seeing your dolls for the whole year; or would you rather take all your dolls to a more average place, for that year?

 

Goodness that is a super tough one I think... I'd have to go with the dream destination. Although I love my dollies I'd still have them once I get home, and I can take beautiful pictures even without them

Would you rather have an anthro doll of your least favorite animal or a human doll in your least favorite size?

 

A human doll in my least favorite size. It's not that bad, and may even be easier to find clothing (my favorite is SD, and my girl is a bit hard to clothe). I like anthros and centaurs ( centaurs), but an animal I don't like that much wouldn't have the appeal.

Would you rather have your grail doll slightly damaged (small chip or crack) or a sculpt you don't care much for in minty condition?

 

Slightly damaged grail. I can hide, or have fixed a small problem.

Would you rather have a leather outfit for your doll, or a silk one?

 

Oh that's really tough. I think... a leather one. My dolls would totally rock the leather look.

Would you rather have a collection made up of all the same gender dolls, or a collection made up of all the same size dolls?

brrrrr. from those 2 variants i would prefer the second one, cs i can't even imagine my best friend does any harm to my things purposely.
