Would you rather have a friend (who is not into BJD's) find in your room an enormous collection of BJD underwear or a large pile of blank, body-less, BJD heads?

 

Bodyless heads! Because then I can have more dollies.

Would your doll rather write a novel or create a very large painting?

 

Chulyen, Mattie, and Roane would rather write a novel. Qwill and Kaz would rather paint. Hannah would consider it a waste of her time and do neither.

Would you rather have a mermaid or a merman doll?

 

OMG I would love a merman doll!!! This store near me had the most beautiful painted merman statue but when I went back to buy it (it was pricey, not an impulse buy) the store had closed down! I need beautiful mermen in my life.

Would you rather have a giraffe BJD or a flamingo BJD? Crazy I know but think how awesome they would be.

 

Flamingo! I see pink feathers everywhere. It would be faaaaabulous.

Would you rather have a white knight doll with a fully armored war horse, or an evil sorceress with a pet dragon?

 

A white knight doll with a fully armored war horse would be sooo amazing. If you could have as many dolls and you wanted (price doesn't matter) but could only have one gender, which gender would you choose?

 

Female. Although I tend to fall more for male dolls, I seem to get more creative with my females

Would you rather have the most beautiful doll ever but it has very limited posing ability or just an average doll with amazing posing ability?

 

oh hard one, I would rather have the most beautiful doll ever (for me at least xD) and then cheat and changes its body ;P
Would you rather own the partner of your own BJD, or find your BJD a partner among your friends' BJDs? if that even make sense XD

 

You mean like boyfriend? At this point in time I would be happier if Anthony's boyfriend were one of my own but in the future I like the idea of having a doll or two that interact and have some story line with other people's dolls.

The ear. I can cover that up with the right wig.

Would your doll rather go to see an opera, or go to the ballpark to see a baseball game?

 

Since I really love anthro dolls I would be fine without a wig for them if I only had a horrible wig

Would you rather have a doll with only heeled feet (can only wear heeled shoes) or with flat feet (can only wear flat shoes)?

 

Flat-feet...because my only doll is a guy. Don't think he'd be too happy about wearing heels... >.>

Would you rather have doll eyes that are 4mm too big, or too small? (Assuming you can't change them or buy another pair)

 

Good heavens, even 2 mm off makes a difference. I guess too big? Too small would wind up incredibly starey.

In a similar vein, would you rather have a too-big wig or too-big eyes?

 

Too big eyes, they might look a little creepy, but at least they would work... but a too big wig would be too hard to deal with

Would you rather get a brand new doll right away or your grail doll but you would have to wait a few months before it got there?

 

definitely my grail doll, I've been waiting years to be able to buy her already so waiting a few months for her to arrive isn't a big deal

would you rather buy your doll 2-3 really nice outfits or wigs?

 

Wigs, I can make outfits. Wigs are harder though I can make those too.

Would you rather write a blog about your doll or just forget it and take pictures anytime you want?

 

I love to write, but I don't know if I could keep up with a blog. I start out with good intentions on such things, only for them to fade away later. However, my photography skills leave a lot to be desired, so the blog I guess.

Someone offers you one of two fullset girl dolls: a Victorian-era lady or a 1920s flapper. Which would you choose?

 

Victorian. I prefer the flapper's ideals but the Victorian's esthetic.

On a similar note, 1920s flapper doll or 1950s sock-hop doll?

 

Neither are even close to my favorite time period >.< But I'd go with 1950's doll.


Would you rather be super good at sewing or super good at faceups?

 

Super good at sewing. I change outfits on my dolls much more often then I change faceups.

Would you rather do a photoshoot in the spring or in the fall?

 

From a friend, definitely.

Would you rather have someone give you a doll you don't really like or a box full of parts of dolls you do like with no guarantee you could make a complete doll?

 

Have someone give me a doll I don't really like. I'm pretty confident I could customize most dolls to my liking.

Would you rather own all male dolls or all female dolls?

 

Female. It just seems easier for me to put together a girl character than a guy one.

Would you rather own all SD, MSD, or tiny sized dolls?

 

At this point in time all I have is an SD, with the exception of my event cat anthro tiny. And seeing as most sculpts I want happen to be 60 or 70cm dolls I'd be happy with all SD size

Would you rather all your dolls be one color or no two the same color?

 

No 2 the same color! It would make for a much more unique collection

Would you rather have a female doll that came with male feet or a male doll that came with female feet?

Well, currently, my collection consists of all MSD's. I'd love to own a larger doll but im afraid it would be way too big for my taste.

Would you rather recieve a doll in your least favorite sculpt for free (no selling) or be forced to pay double for your dream doll?

 

If it is double the original sale price and not aftermarket, I'd rather pay double for my dream doll. While I try and appreciate gifts, a gift of my least favorite sculpt that I'd be forced to keep wouldn't be something I'd choose for myself.

Would you rather your favorite sculpt had a major disfiguring flaw where it can be hidden by clothes (but you know it's there) or a minor flaw on the face? Assuming you couldn't get the flaw modded away.

 

Major disfiguring flaw! I could always work it into the character. So long as it wasn't damaging the doll, of course. But like a big gouge or something? Fine by me.

Would you rather end up with a very nice, poseable doll who doesn't fit the character you planned for them, or a doll who fits the character, but who has an ugly body and can't pose for crap?

 

Nice and poseable! I can always modify the character or make a new one! Posing's a big deal for me. X3

Would you rather have the perfect color eyes that are slightly too small or a slightly off color in the right size?

 

I guess I'd choose the major flaw that's hidden, maybe body blush it to look like a scar.

Would you rather your doll have jointed hands or not jointed?

 

as cool as jointed hands are I find all those tiny joints distracting so I'd go with normal non-jointed hands
would you rather have one pair of perfect shoes or ten pairs of ok shoes?

 

One perfect pair! I am big over quality over quantity!

And since TatsuKitty was missed, I would rather have the slightly off color of eyes. I can always tweek it in photoshop if need be, but too small eyes just would not work and would make me sad since the color is just want I want and I could not use them.

Would you rather have your favorite BJD company stop making dolls, or all of the other companies stop making dolls leaving your favorite company to be the soul provider of BJDs?

 

I'd rather have my favorite company stop making dolls. If all other companies stopped it would drive the prices through the roof.

Would you rather have all YOSD's or all 70cm's?

 

All 70cms. Yo-SDs are cute and all, but I like the SD sizes better.

all girls, it's harder for me to find boy dolls that I really love (there are a few though)

Neither ! It makes me very angry when it happens...

Definitely an old doll! I have a character who's a very old alchemist and I'd love to shell him, but I've given up on it because of the difficulty in shelling an elderly character.

Would you rather get a doll you could mod into the doll of your dreams for cheap, or the doll of your dreams for a ridiculous mark-up?

 

If I could get it modded to be how I wanted it then that would be fine by me

Would you rather have too many dolls for the space you have available for them or a lot of space for a few dolls you have?

 

More space so I can make rooms and props for them to be properly displayed.

would you rather have a cheap priced bjd that yellows within a year or a beyond expensive bjd that never yellows at all

 

the never yellowing bjd would be tempting, but a friend told me yellowing can be a good thing too sometimes.

Would you rather your doll to become unstringed suddenly without warning or faceplant onto concrete?

 

Unstrung suddenly. Re-stringing would be a much easier fix than chipping... or worse

Would you rather have to re-string your doll every time you did anything with it or have a face-up that's not sealed so any touching at all would smear/rub it off?

 

Restring my doll every time! I'm way too handsy with my dolls to think about smearing an unsealed face-up...

All girl dolls. I find them so much more fun to dress up and play with. ^^

I'd rather have the perfect outfits for multiple dolls. Though, an enormous collection would be fun too.

Ooh like conjuring lol. Hmm.. I'd say play with as long as it was careful and wasnt flinging it across the room like exorcist lol cause I imagine if it possed it it would upset the spirit/ghost to be stuck or if I didn't spend enough time with it. But atleast if it plays with it on its own its keeping itself busy.

would you rather have a doll that looks beautiful to everyone but scary to you or beautiful to you and scary to everyone

 

Beautiful to me but scary to everyone. I'm the one that's got to live with it and see it the most often, after all!

Would you rather be forced to give up your dolls to a BJD owner that would take really good care of them but is a stranger to you; or to a friend that would store them away in a basement and never do anything with them?

 

Honestly, I'd rather give them to a BJD owner who'll take really good care of them and enjoy them.

Would you rather have an eight-legged BJD (think a spider body with a human torso type) or a six-eyed BJD?

 

Oh, both are so tempting... though I'd really want a spider BJD! I can't imagine putting the eyes into a six-eyed doll. And I've wanted a spider-legged doll since I saw DC's Alberta... if anyone could do it, it would be them.

Would you rather a very cool, OOAK art doll that is off-topic and has no resale value, or a really nice, limited doll that is on topic and has a high resale value?

 

I actually have my eye on an off topic artist doll, so I would pick that!

I couldn't imagine me doing either sense I'm afraid of hights but I'd have to say sky diving sense I can only imagine the damage of the recoil on bungee jumping.

Would you rather spend years having to buy your dream doll piece by piece (left arm one place, hand another etc) for a combined price that's really cheap or have your doll right away all togeather but spend years paying off the loan you had to take out to buy it

 

I'd rather buy piece by piece since I'm paranoid with loans and debts.

Would you rather have a head sculpt you dislike on your favorite body, or your favorite head on a body you dislike?

 

Head I dislike on a body I like. I tend to love a doll with great posing and once a face up is on I start to really like them.

Would you rather a dog maul your favorite doll or have to only buy dolls you hate for the rest of your life?
