Glass. Acrylic scratches too easily, changes color over time, and most don't look as good in depth and clarity.

Would you rather have all boy dolls or all girl dolls?

 

Since I sort of already have mostly boy dolls. Boys.

If moving long distances would you rather ship your dolls to your new home wrapped up in boxes and bubble wrap, or have them travel with you in a car or plane and carried in a traveling bag?

Would you rather have your custom faceup get scratched or have a part of your doll crack?

 

Ouch, faceup get scratched I guess.

Would you rather a doll that is strung too tightly or too loosely?

 

Loosely because I find it easier to tighten then loosen.

Would you rather have a wig that is able to hold almost any style or a separate wig for each different hairstyle your doll has? (I.E. a wig for a bun, pigtales, ect.)

 

Separate wigs. I cannot style hair very well and I would be frustrated that I could not get the wig to look right or to repeat a style I achieved before.

Would you rather loose your favorite doll's eyes or wig?

 

Wig. Once I decide a pair of eyes are perfect, I don't change them. But wigs are more flexible.

Would you rather have a free doll once a month, but you can't choose the doll; or buy the exact doll you want but at such a high price you could only buy one every other year?

 

Definitely a free doll once a month.

Would you rather having to spend all of your money on dolls and nothing else (aside from basic living expenses , food, rent) or not being able to spend any money on dolls at all?

 

Spend no money on dolls at all. I have all but two of the dolls I am planing for my doll family (lets see how well that works out lol) and have things hanging around the house to make for them. I love my dolls but I still need to socialize!

Would you rather have a great camera but bad lighting or great lighting and a terrible camera?

 

Great camera and bad lighting, because you could get some really great horror shots if you angled things right.

Would you rather have a 1 to 1 scale doll or a 1/16 scale doll?

 

Oh, that's a hard one, lol. I guess I'd rather have a 1/16 doll, little dolls are cheaper, and it would be easy to hand sew for them and take them with me. I'll have thousands probably.

Would you rather have a doll with broken legs or with broken arms?

 

Broken legs. They would be easier to work on, legs can normally be hidden under pants so mods don't have to be as precise.

Would you rather take photos of one doll or groups?

 

Groups. You can hide like little easter eggs throughout the photo so the more you look the more you see.

Would you rather have to sell all your dolls and have a brand new doll family or sell all but one of your dolls but thats the only one you can have?

 

Probably sell all but one doll, because I'd have already bonded with that doll.

Would you rather take pictures of your favorite doll in a crowded area where people weren't watching where they were going, or in a area where there were tons of kids who wanted to try and grab your doll?

 

The crowded area. Even if people aren't watching, I am and could stay close ready to catch any that get bumped. A ton of grabby kids around my dolls would be harder to deal with, I would think. They're actively trying to get your doll.

Would you rather your doll lose a foot or a hand?

 

Hand. I have a few extra pairs hanging around.

Would you rather keep all of your existing dolls or have someone gift you new shells for the characters cast in environmental resin?

if you had to choose between a fantasy doll and a regular doll which would you want?

 

always fantasy doll as I love elfs and fantasy creatures best.

Would you rather make photos of your dolls in- or better outside?

 

I would rather take pictures inside where I can set up a scene with props and a backdrop.

If you won a mystery prize, would you rather win a doll wig or a doll outfit?

 

A doll outfit, I'm sooo fussy about my wigs. But I'd love to be surprised by different outfits.

Would you rather take summer or winter outside photos of you dolls?

 

Winter. Less UV light from the sun.

Would you rather sew by hand or machine?

 

Machine, less time consuming...(=

Would you rather have a mannequin or bjd?

 

Bjd! Although I'd love to have both.

Would you rather have dolls with only eyes and no wigs, or only wigs and no eyes?

 

No eyes, wig with long bangs that cover the eyes or eyes and bald head, hoodie. Hmmm I think I would go with wigless. Only eyes, because they are expressive.

All girls!!!! I love my girls to much to let them go!(not to mention I only have girls so far!)

Would you rather have your grail doll for free or six other dolls you have been "kinda" wanting for free?

 

Grail doll for free, I would love the heck outta that doll and cherish it forever.

Would you rather only being able to buy discontinued dolls (special release) or new release dolls (nothing older that 1 month)?

 

Discontinued dolls. Eventually the new dolls have the potential to get discontinued.

Would you rather buy BJD clothes patterns or make them yourself?

 

I'd buy them but no one makes patterns for the weird stuff I make, so I make them myself.

Your guy needs a beard to be complete, would you buy a high quality glue-on (but removable) real hair beard or have a painted on beard? Why?

 

The real hair. It'd be awesome to braid it.

Would you rather have a steampunk fullset or a cyberpunk one?

 

Steampunk! I'd love one.

Would you rather have a wig or clothes you don't like on your doll?

 

Probably clothes. That way it's just like they have poor fashion sense, but if the wig is wrong the whole character feels off.

Would you rather have only one doll and it's your grail doll, or as many dolls as you want but they aren't sculpts you're particularly fond of?

 

Probably one grail doll. Just cause i'd feel bad that i didn't love them all as much. Then I can spoil just her anyways.

Would you rather mismatching skin tones on the body and head, or the wrong gendered body to match your character?

 

Wrong gendered body for my character. I don't think I'd mind

Would you rather a doll with removable ears and tail or with them sculpted on?

 

Removable! I think it might be hard to fit wigs and pants on them if they weren't... >:

Would you rather have a whole bunch of imperfect dolls (which need a lot of work) or just a couple perfect ones?

 

Just a couple perfect ones! I don't have the time or energy to give to dolls who need restoring, sadly.

Would you rather have an angel-themed fullset or a devil-themed fullset?

 

Devil themed! Much deeper character possibilities.

Would you rather have a doll themed after the Sun or Moon?

 

Moon! I prefer the night and darker/cooler colors.

Would you rather have a very small doll (less than 8cm) or a very large doll (over 100 cm)?

 

A very small doll. I can bring it anywhere, whereas a giant doll would be kinda a struggle~

Would you rather get a really expensive BJD from the start or buy many cheaper ones first?

 

Really expsensive 1st bjd. He happens to be my grail and takes longer to save up for.


Would you sell the doll that you took a long time to save up for and characterise in order to get a suddenly reissue grail doll?
Or give up said grail doll and just admire it from afar?

 

Well the doll that took almost 6 months to save for was my grail doll soo...haha.

Would you rather a doll have broken fingers and cant get new hands or a chipped head?

 

Broken fingers. I could just wrap it up and make the character have lost his/her finger.

Would you rather buy a very expensive doll in great condition, or one for half the price but with some broken chips and dirt that doesn't come off?

 

Honestly, I have the attitude of a dollie doctor. I want to fix them all! So I would probably go with the chipped/dirty doll and then try to remedy the issues. Wipe them clean, boil them and see where we're at from there. ; o ;

Would you rather buy a doll at full price that you know what sculpt you're getting, or a doll at a discount, but it's a mystery doll that you won't know what you got until it arrives?

 

As long as i wont be getting ripped off,mystery doll for sure! I love getting surprises.

Would you rather the ability to design your own custom doll or get you're grail doll?

 

Grail doll since I would take forever to decide how to customize my doll xD

Would you rather be able to buy 5 mini bjds or just 1 large bjd and have those be the only ones you can keep in your possession for your life?

 

If it's mini as in MSD then I'd go with the mini ones, also SDs are my favorite.

Would you rather have to overpay for your grail doll, or settle for a similar sculpt that's cheaper than usual?

 

Ooh, that would depend. I'm very inclined to tinies...but if the large BJD was Little Monica Sophia or Reynell, then hello big BJD!

Would you rather have the a beautiful doll you can't find the perfect outfit for...or a beautiful outfit that doesn't fit any of the dolls you own?

I know everyone says it's worth the wait but how long is too long for you to wait? Would you rather choose another doll if you knew it would be an excessive wait for the other one?

 

I'm relatively patient because i'm used to pre-ordering figurines that don't come out for more then a year so I wouldn't really class any time " too long".

Would you rather take on a restoration project of your grail that is in pretty bad shape Or would you pay double the amount it will take to fix it for your grail doll in amazing condition?

 

In truth, that all depends on how costly the repairs would be. I would be willing to do one or the other for my grail.

Would you rather design a character based around a sculpt you love, or find a sculpt that perfectly matches a pre-existing character?

 

I tend to have a difficult time finding sculpts to match pre-existing characters. I like the idea of forming a character around a sculpt.

Would you rather get a wig in the perfect hairstyle but the color is way off or a wig in the perfect color but the style is way off?

 

that would be a case by case. I have a doll who is meant to have white hair and nothing else and I prefer to sacrifice the style over the colour. I have another doll who's the exact opposite. She needs thick curly hair and I would prefer have that in blue than get her straight brown hair xP

That one is difficult, but I think I'd love to be a really good sculptor.
