No nipples. A couple of my girls have such petite chest sizes that they don't really have nipples.

Would you rather have a doll with single-jointed elbows but double-jointed knees, or vice versa?

 

Single knees. They don't sit seiza all that often.

Would you rather have pricey wigs and cheap eyes, or cheap wigs and pricey eyes?

 

I'd rather have pricey wig ang cheap eyes.


would you rather have an SD 1/3 or a tiny?

 

Definitely SD 1/3 though the mature tinys that Granado and others are coming out with are growing on me.

Would you rather have a manly head on a girl's body or a beautiful female head on a boy's body?

 

IMHO, 90% of male head sculpts look very feminine to begin with - but, the reverse is virtually never true. So, a male head on a female body would probably have a better chance of working out than a female head on a male body.

Would you rather buy a doll with a snake tail, or a doll with a dragon head?

 

As dragon heads are much too impractical to be used as currency, I'd rather buy a doll with a snake tail.

Would you rather be blind but able to touch your dolls, or able to see but not touch them?

 

See and not touch. It would be really hard though. Can I use gloves? Wrap them up so I can at least send them off to be customized?

Would you rather sell one of your dolls or only be allowed to buy one more?

 

I'd rather sell one of my dolls...and probably buy it again, later, unless that disqualifies that choice.

Would you rather buy a doll with a realistic face and cartoonish body, or a doll with a cartoonish face and a realistic body?

 

I prefer cartoonish face and realistic body, cause vice versa would be too odd for me ^^

Would you rather keep elf ears for a human character and cover it with a wig or get rid of them?

 

I'd get rid of them for sure. The idea that they're under the wig would irk me even if they wouldn't be visible.

Would you rather have a crosdressing male or female doll?

 

Crossdressing male. Honestly, both, but here I can only choose one.

I chose Ash. I guess I'd want him to have wings, but not feathered ones, bat-like wings.

Would you rather your character have full torso tattoos or both arms with sleeve tattoos?

 

I'd choose sleeve tattoos. They'd be easier to reveal if I wanted to show them off.

Would you rather make your BJDs from scratch or refrain from collecting any more?

 

I'd rather make my BJDs from scratch...and have considered trying that, though I don't currently have that kind of workspace.

Would you rather have a doll you really love but could never show to anyone, or a doll you don't like but could take with you everywhere you go and would receive many compliments for?

 

Much rather have a doll I love that no one could ever see. (not too different from how it is now... Haha) I'd be much happier loving something by myself than trying to get approval from others.

Would you rather be able to pick one doll of yours to come to life, or one person to turn into a doll? (A perfect replica or a replacement, your choice.)

 

I'd rather have a doll that I could turn into a person! That would be so wicked!

Wings. Some of them already have (removable) wings and, its not too hard to make clothes to accomadate them. But I have no clue how to clothe a centaur!

would you rather sew clothes or buy them?

 

I'd rather sew them; it helps me to get better at it, and designing the clothes is a lot of fun.

Would you rather have a doll that's covered in scales, or one with (sculpted) fur?

 

Scales or fur? Well, since there is no specific mention it has to be a human doll, I'd go with sculpted fur - I mean, realistic cat doll would be incomplete without fur texture.
If it had to be a human doll, I'd have idea for both possibilities, but subtle snake-like scales would look really cool.

Would you rather give up the doll, but keep the character or lose the character but keep the doll. (A.k.a. oc without the shell or shell without the oc?)

 

Man, that's rough. I create characters for sculpts, so it is hard to imagine anything else for them. Even tougher since I chose Ollie and I remember back when I was wary of hybriding I tried to find another girl to replace her. Couldn't. So I guess lose the character and keep the sculpt. Not sure what her new character would be.

Would you rather make everything for your dolls yourself, or only have one complete outfit for each of your dolls at any given time (ie if you buy new pants, you have to sell the old ones, only one pair of eyes and a wig at a time, etc)?

 

I would rather make everything for them. I mostly do now except for eyes and I suppose I could learn to do that.

Would you rather have an anime or realistic doll version of your favorite character?

 

A realistic version, because an anime version would look a bit out of place with my other dolls.

If you have to choose one or the other, would you rather your favorite doll become human sized, or the size of your thumb?

 

The size of my thumb! That would be awesome, and much easier to store/display.

Would you rather only be able to keep one doll from your current collection, but be able to buy dolls in the future like normal, or keep all your current collection, but only ever be able to purchase one more doll?

 

The latter. That is my current plan. And I don't want to have to rebuy everyone.

Would you rather a doll lose a hand or a foot?

 

Edit: Ack, someone posted just before me. In response to @iamkathybrown, a foot, as one of my dolls is already an amputee with a prosthetic leg.

One more doll. My collection is large as is.

Would you rather your dolls attract all manner of dust and pet fur, ye be able to play with them, or keep them eternally pristine in a UV proof display box and never touch them?

 

Haha mine already do attract all manner of fur and stuff because they are out and I play with them every day. I don't see the point of keeping them as display items I have porcelain for that.

Would you rather have lots of wigs with only one set of eyes per doll or lots of eyes and only one wig per doll?

 

I’d like lots of eyes and only one wig per doll. Hopefully it fits and looks good . That’s what I’m doing with my collection anyway, but still have too many unusable wigs....

What new skill would you be willing to learn? Eye making, sewing, wig making, shoe making, or sculpting your own bjd?

 

Shoe making. I already sew most of their clothes.

Would you rather have a ton of props or lots of shoes?

 

Ugh that's hard. I'm going to go with tons of shoes...just because I don't have any props at all right now so changing clothes/shoes is all I'm used to. Also I have 3 dolls and 2 pairs of shoes haha.

Would you rather have a beautifully sculpted but not easily posable body or a wonderfully posable but aesthetically challenged body?

 

Beautifully sculpted. I would keep them on a stand so they won't slide of flop around, still would be a site to behold.

Would you rather have a doll beautiful doll but with measurements making it hard to dress. Or a more average doll with measurements making them easy to dress?

 

Beautiful. I'll just lie to myself about sewing clothes, then buy them like I usually do.

Would you rather have all your dolls shirtless or wigless?

 

I would rather them go shirtless. You can do a fantasy theme with jewels and painting replacing shirts, but its hard to replace wigs and I love hair. I have waist length hair myself so its just important to me personally.

Would you rather find your wishlist doll discounted but with one of your details you wanted missing that's hard to get alone (ex: feet, hands, company faceup), or find the whole doll out of your budget available on layaway.

 

Tough one! I am quite finicky about getting all the parts I need, and how I need them (like bust size and extra thigh joint and whatnot), but I am also extremely off-put by price inflation so probably I would rather skip a detail I wanted and have it for cheaper!

Would you rather pay more to receive your doll faster, or get a discount but wait longer than normal?

 

I'd prefer a discount and a longer wait time.

Would you rather have a great outfit and a wig that's just "meh" or a great wig and and outfit that's "meh'?

 

Great wig and "meh" outfit. I can always sew a new one.

Would you rather have a yellow but easy to pose doll, or an eternally floppy but UV resistant doll?

 

I'm going to go with the yellowing poser. I can enhance the color via dyeing to remedy all that yellow.

Would you rather have a mature MSD, or a child-like SD?

 

Ummmmm I guess mature MSD. I'm not much of a fan of mature MSD to be honest, I like my doll to be realistic in their image, like my MSD should all be child like and all my SD or upper should be more mature. But I guess a mature MSD I can kind of wrap my mind around with explaining it's just a mature girl who is petite? XD

Would you rather own one very expensive but very high quality outfit for your doll, or buy a lot but relatively cheap clothes?

 

OH! I would rather have one very nice outfit versus a ton on cheaper outfits. I really don't want a closet for my dolls, the one's I'm working on are character-based, so their outfits only really needs one iteration. Although I would want holiday themed things to change it up, I don't see myself changing their outfits all the time, so just one nice outfit for me!

Would you rather have a doll of yours yellowed... or fallen and cracked!?! As in what would you prefer to deal with/fix?

 

Ugh, yellowed for sure. I’d feel so bad about a major crack unless I could replace the part. Fingers are an exception, I don’t really mind mended fingers as much for some reason and hand replacement often isn’t too terrible.

would you rather have a grail on your wishlist that you could find but not afford or one you could afford but not find?

 

Hmm, I guess find but not afford, I am not above asking for money for holidays for grails, right now I have a grail I cant find and it's very sad.

Would you rather have a full wardrobe for one of your dolls, or a few clothing items for each one of them?

 

I would prefer all of them have a few things. At least that way nobody is naked!

Would you rather have your next doll be grey or purple?

 

Grey! I love the softer grey dolls. Unless the purple is done very light, I feel like it would be hard to match.

Would you rather have a very expensive pair of eyes for your favorite doll, or a very expensive set of clothing?

 

Tough one... I've had some cheap eyes look super good. But I think I'd choose the eyes over the clothes because the eyes are part of the doll's body/soul/character and clothes are superficial.

You've accidentally crossed a mafia dude and he's giving you a choice - he breaks your dominant index finger, or breaks your favorite doll. Which do you choose as your punishment?

 

That’s a tough question... it depends on where they break the doll! But probably my finger, it would maybe be cheaper to fix if insurance covers it!

Would you rather only have dolls that are human sized or only have dolls that are tinies?

 

Tinies all the way for me. I love me some itty bitty babies

^ I prefer spooky. Cutesy can sometimes be almost nauseating.

Dystopian all the way! I love how extreme or realisitc you could make them. Like full on mad max! Or try to make the most real-world survival outfit possible. Or even take it into a cyberpunk theme! It just goes on and on.

Would you rather only buy dolls from one company or only buy one doll from every company?

 

I actually try to do the "only one doll from a company" thing! (though I admit I find it so hard, as I often want like all of a single artist's dolls) With the small number of dolls I have currently though I really want a fair amount of variety in looks.

Would you rather only be able to buy human dolls, or only fantasy creature/animal dolls?

 

I would only buy human dolls. I only own human dolls, I find them easier to style, besides I never found an animal doll that i liked and can justify the price...

Would you rather make your boy doll wear a frilly dress, or make him being heavily tattooed?

Girl with tattoos sounds really cool, but I can’t deal with body blushing. So I’ll take heavy makeup boy ^^

Hmm that's pretty hard to say honestly. I would probably go with completely unique faceups, I want my dolls to all be individuals and there are definitely different levels of amateur so they wouldn't be bad.

Would you rather only be able to buy second hand or directly from the company?

 

I think I'll take my chances with second-hand. New dolls might eventually end up for sale. But buying direct means never getting to have discontinued dolls for sure!

Would you rather have your favorite doll's faceup damaged beyond repair or your favorite doll outfit torn to pieces?

 

Damaged faceup. I do them myself, so I'll just do it again.

Would you rather lose a doll's hand or foot?

 

Foot, I could hide that with a boot if i didn't have a chance to replace it.

I would rather let my best friend take care of my dolls for me. Just the thought of my parents with something of mine so dear to me makes me shudder

Oof, this is tough... I'll say individual shots, even though taking group shots of my doll family is my favorite part of having multiple dolls!

Cook a meal! I'm not a gamer, but I like cooking and I think my doll would too.
