Would You Rather...? - Part 2

It's a tough one, but honestly I think I would go for many dolls I never really deeply loved, so I would still be able to explore and be creative with my dolls. The fact that I didn't really love them might actually even allow me to be more creative, since I wouldn't be so afraid of accidentally messing them up.

Would you rather get a dream doll that cost a fortune or a cute but cheaper doll?

 

I would rather have a dream doll that cost a fortune. I have several cheap, cute dolls. I don't love them and rarely do anything with them. I don't have a dream doll on the way now but I have one that was a bit more than I've spent in the past and I think I am going to LOVE her.

Would you rather keep the same faceup you love now forever or keep the same outfit you love on a doll forever?

 

I'd rather keep the same faceup forever. I get bored with my dolls wearing the same clothes all the time.

Would you rather keep your dolls displayed in a glass case, safe and sound, but never be able to handle them, or have them out and be able to handle them but not very secure? (ie, someone could walk by and run into them/knock them down?)

 

I would very much rather to be able to handle them despite possible danger, as they are more of a creative canvas to me than a collectible item/decoration

Would you rather go through the hell of a horrible, nerve wrecking transaction but get your absolute grail doll, or would you rather have a smooth one for a doll that you like enough to buy?

 

I much prefer a smooth, no-fuss transaction to get a doll that I like enough to buy. Stress and I are not great friends, especially when there's something expensive and fragile at stake.

What bugs you more, being unable to find eyes that suit your doll, or being unable to find a wig that suits your doll?

 

I think not having the right wig for me would ruin the image I have with my characters.

Would you rather take your doll(s) traveling to Europe or Asia?

 

Only one doll! I get so attached to them that I think I'd be fine if I only had one.

eeek...tricky can't I choose both. (I actually have both..lol) I'll go with blue skin I love fantasy colored dolls.

Would you rather buy a full set doll just to get one item in the set knowing you might not be able to sell the other parts or wait and hope that it pops up later for sale not knowing if you will every be able to get that one piece?

Would you rather get a cheaper body that does not quite fit your vision, or a more expensive one that will take forever to save up for but matches perfectly?

 

It seems when I am determined to buy the cheaper body and save some money, the right one comes on for sale exactly when I have just the right amount to buy it. So I guess I go for the matches perfectly.

Would you rather all the same color eyes for your dolls or same color wigs?

 

Thats a hard one.... Same color eyes it would be.
Would you rather have only girls in boys clothes or only boys in girls clothes?

 

Only boys in girl clothes. It's so much easier to find girl clothes than boy clothes for some reason...

Would you rather always keep your dolls in their boxes in a room without curtains and no closet, or keep them in a dark room without windows with terrible indoor lighting?

 

Um... well... I currently do have then in a room with no closet. There are curtains, but they suck and let lots of light in. So I put them back in their boxes for storage, sadly. When I move, I'm gonna give my dollies their own room though!

Would you rather have all mohair wigs or all 'normal' wigs?

 

Normal wigs definitely.

Would you rather a doll line based on mythology or historical figures?

 

Mythology! My dolls are already somewhat based of Lovecraftian Mythos.

Would you rather take your dolls out in public or bring them to work/school?

Would you rather have several male dolls or just one female?

 

Several male. I tend to like them better.

Lost wig or lost eyes?

 

Lost wig, at least he can wear a hat or hood. Lost eyes - eek!

Would you rather have only the choice of fishnet or white ruffled stockings?

Would you rather buy an item from a seller with pets, or from one who smokes?

 

Pets. I see no problem with that whatsoever. But smoking leaves a smell on everything!

Would you rather have all tinies or all 75cm and up?

 

All tinies definitely! I don't have enough room for big dolls, and tinies are precious~

Would you rather have a doll with very exagerated facial features (like a big smile) or a perfectly blank expression?

 

A blank expression, it leaves a lot of room for the faceup to show emotion!

Would you rather a gorgeous backdrop but bad lighting or a bad backdrop with beautiful lighting?

 

Tough one! I think I want to say perfect faceup. A faceup can seriously change a sculpt, for better or worse.

Would you rather have pants that are always a bit too short, or pants that are too stiff to sit/ kneel (for your dolls)?

 

Too short. I usually keep my dolls sitting around the house, as opposed to standing all the time. I need them to bend their knees! XD

On the same vein, would you rather only have super short miniskirts that barely conceal anything, or only super long, super conservative pant suits for your girls (and/or femmy-boys)?

 

Pant suits. I really like suits.

One amazing outfit, or ten cheaply made pieces you can mix and match?

 

One amazing outfit! I like well sewn clothes very much. ^^

Would you rather have one of your doll's head yellow or the hands yellow worse?

 

Hmmm...probably the head, because that could be corrected with a faceup to an extent. I wouldn't want to paint the hands because I touch them so much!

Would you rather own only creepy/weird looking dolls or only super cute/sweet dolls?

 

Creepy is my middle name! 8D

Would you rather only be able to sew for your dolls, keep them clothed etc, but not be able to paint them so they'd only ever be blank, or would you rather have wonderfully painted dolls, but not be able to clothe them?

 

As they say clothes make the man so it would be clothes. There is enough character in the sculpt itself with the right wig, eyes ad clothing I would be happy without paint.

Would you rather have SD/MSD couples or MSD/YoSD couples.

 

SD/MSD. Most YoSDs look like kids to me.

All 70+ guys, or all tiny <20 girls?

 

Tiny girls! They'd be so cute and fun to carry around and dress up~

Would you ratheeeer...never take photos of your dolls, or have to do a different photoshoot every day?

 

@KiyoshiSenshi I would rather do a different photoshoot every day, even though it's more work, i'd say it's better than never displaying or showing off your dolls. Plus, doing something is always better than nothing

Would you rather invest 5 million dollars/euro/rubles/yen/yuan into assets (properties/cars and such) or spend it all on dolls? ;D

 

Well that depends, certain dolls can become assets in the future, just ask #1 Barbie lol. I'd probably invest it in assets!

Hmmmm, that's really hard... I'll say elf dolls, 'cause a lot of my characters are fantasy things.

Developing their characters. It's what I already do. XD

I would rather have the room to make a diorama for all 5 dolls! I like the idea of having a detailed room for my characters and a small collection.

I would say probably only secondhand. You can find some amazing stuff secondhand, and wait times are awful.

One doll that I can change as I please :-)

Well, I already have a black haired doll with brown eyes, and I've always loved redheads and freckles, so I suppose I'd like one with red hair and freckles. ouo

Definitely centaur. I just love horses!

Would you rather have your favorite doll have a hidden, dark secret or a supernatural ability?

 

i choose many. cause i love all of them but just not as loved. my love ous for all my dolls

 

(For Eolomea's question): A supernatural ability! (Some of my doll's characters already have those, so it wouldn't be too crazy. )

Would you rather have five dolls with unrelated characters or five dolls with characters that are related? (Like a family or siblings?)

 

Related since I already have a family and I like it even if they are a weird family..

A mix. More diversity! Also, no to sexism! ;D

Would you rather find your grail for fairly cheap, but it comes with a horrendous faceup and some weird mods, or a more expensive doll you kinda only like, in pristine "straight from the company" quality?

 

That's hard... I'd say a messed up grail doll, as long as it's not completely unrecognizable. I feel like I'd be able to fix it, or have someone help me restore it.

Would you rather have all "normal" human dolls, or ones with fantasy parts like animal feet/tails/hands/etc.?

 

Fantasy parts, definitely. I looove fantasy dolls!

Mermaid dolls or devil dolls? (Mermaid tails or devil horns/wings) Neither are removable.

 

Mermaid dolls! I've always loved mermaids, having a doll with an actually possible mermaid tail(unlike most vinyl dolls) would be really cool!

Would you rather have an infinitely wonky eye on your doll or infinitely loose elastics?

 

Definitely infinitely loose elastic. I can work with that for pictures, but a wonky eye? Not so much.

Would you rather wait six months for a doll and have everything go smoothly, or wait only two months and have a bunch of problems with shipping and whatnot?

 

Six months and all smooth! The stress of having an order go wrong is just too much!

Would you rather have one really high quality, expensive well-coordinated outfit, or lots of cheaper pieces to mix and match?
