Thank you so much! I'll be sure to post some more pics of her soon. I was hoping to get a few good shots in if I have some time today.

I originally wanted her in one of WITHdoll's tan options, but I opted for 'rose white' instead. I just wasn't sure how she'd come out in tan, and I didn't want to get a doll that I may or may not like, ya know? I do hope WITHdoll will soon offer their standard dolls in more skin tones.

Hello all!
I hope this is alright to post here, but I thought people might like some info on Withdoll hybrids - you see, I absolutely fell in love with Mai and Nei, but wanted them as girls. Originally I got Nei on the girl body, but I found it too bobble-headed. So I got an Eliza head for the Withdoll body and Souldoll bodies for the two heads, and it all worked out in the end! Phew!
So here's a rather crappy pic, with some other dolls for size reference too:

Hmm, the white skin isn't that yellow in real life, by the way. Camera phone is making things weird.
So, my thoughts are:
The best fit is the Souldoll New Line body - neck fit is great, resin match (for Normal Skin, anyway) is spot on, and she just looks gorgeous!
Souldoll general body: proportion is alright, but the head won't stay straight on the body - needs sueding or some kind of work to make it fit properly. I ordered the cream skin and it matches very nicely to the white skin Souldoll in real life - however, it was a secondhand, somewhat yellowed body, so I can't answer for new.
Aquariusdoll: I didn't take a photo (sorry) but the Withdoll head actually fits really nicely on this body too! I don't know about resin match though as my girl is tan. But that's another possibility!
Please note also: the Nei and Mai heads are smaller than some of the other male heads, so other sculpts may not look as good. But if anyone else wanted those two as boys - I would recommend a larger body than the Withdoll female one, and these are my pics! Hope that's helpful to someone! Let me know if you want more photos of anything else too!

Also one day I will actually take proper photos of my girls - once they have face-ups... and clothes...and wigs that fit... I'll get there in the end!

 

@morganatron OMG This is what I needed!!! Thank you so much!! I really wanted the boy heads to fit on one of the bodies I had, and was afraid that it would look bobble headed so I ordered a Luna head instead... I'm so happy to know that they fit on the Souldoll NL body, cause I've been eyeing that for so long!

Here's the hybrid reference, @fansea and @Musume - sorry I'm a day late!

So, here's the Withdoll female head on a Souldoll N.L. body - and damn, it looks really good! Even better than the male head! Damn it, I almost feel it looks better than the actual Withdoll body - does any one else feel like the default body has a weirdly long neck?! Anyway. The fit is good, and it tilts and poses really well. One thing to note is that it is pinker than the Souldoll body (not sure you can see that in the photos) - even though the Nei head matches perfectly, and they're theoretically the same colour. I bought them within a month or so of each other, too. So it seems Withdoll resin can differ from batch to batch - so, can't absolutely guarantee resin matching after all, I'm afraid!

I included the Withdoll female body in the photo for reference, and also, while I was doing head swapping, thought I'd show you all the male Withdoll head on the Aquariusdoll body. The fit and proportion is really quite good, as is the head posing abilities. THe AQR body has a thicker and shorter neck though, so the female head is not such a good match. That also gives it quite a different aesthetic look than the Souldoll body, but I quite like it. No idea about resin match though, as I only have a dark skinned doll.


Then I tried the female Withdoll head on the Souldoll general body. The fit is much better than the male head is, but it still had a tilting problem and doesn't really stay straight on the body. It's more of a similar size to the Withdoll body. I'm not sure Souldoll is producing this body at the moment - it was out of stock last time I checked. But it's a pretty good option if you want a doll of a similar height and proportion. (Sorry for the weird colours here - they are not that pink or yellow in real life! I fail at editing again!)

@morganatron OMG YEESSSS THIS IS PERFECT! THANK YOU THANK YOU! I think I have found the perfect combo to reshell my girl to- all thanks to you! It's kinda sad that the resin doesn't match perfectly, but it's nbd since I can always blush to match. The male head on the AQR body looks pretty good too! Glad to know there are a few options available!

Ooh I hope you do this combination fansea - it looks so great! I am kind of tempted to keep her that way myself - but then I'm back to square one with the Nei head, so maybe not! I'd love to see what you come up with, anyway!

 

@vermont chick, Emma is a lovely sculpt. Which skin tone did you order her in?

 

In case somebody didn't notice, it appears to be a discount event on Withdoll site, for all basic dolls!!

 

I ordered her in normal skin with small bust. I'm hoping she comes with both the flat feet and heel feet. Her photos all show her with flat feet, but the list of what's included says only heel feet.

The discount was there when I ordered Emma. I figured it was the New Year's sale that was supposed to end January 5th and assumed they forgot to change the prices back to normal.

 

I just received my basic Rosa on 12/31/15 and she did indeed come with an extra pair of heel feet, as well as an extra pair of hands. The extra hands were in a sort of grasping position, which I assume would be useful if you want to pose the doll holding on to something.

Anyway, I really hope you get both sets of feet with your Emma! It's strange that her listing doesn't include the flat feet...

 

Ah, thank you, she really is adorable . Maybe I shouldn't wait after all, but get her in rosy white, too. At least I do consider it after looking at those cute pictures ^____^.

I know the website says the Withdoll boys are 45cm but sometimes the companies are not 100% accurate on measurement so I was just wondering if what they say is true? Could someone please measure one of their boys? xD I really want my girl whose 45cm on a Spiritdoll body to have a boy thats at least the same height or slightly taller than her!

 

@Sharkyra, thanks so much! I guess it all depends on how badly you're itching to get your hands on a Rosa. I really wanted to get her in one of WITHdoll's tan options, but there were so few owner pictures of her out there that I had no idea how she'd look. Plus, I didn't want to wait until they had another event that included the tan skin tones. I'm not sure how long your wait would be for blue skin, but I'd imagine you'd have to wait at least another 6 months until they offered it again. Have you thought about dying the doll? That's always an option.

@vermont chick, thank you muchly! Have you tried asking WITHdoll about the extra feet on their Q&A board? They're usually pretty quick to respond - within 3-4 days on average. I'm not sure why Emma wouldn't come with 2 sets of feet if she's on the same 41cm body as all the other girls. Maybe they just forgot to add the extra feet to her listing? Let me know what WITHdoll says if you do end up asking them!

 

Yes, I considered dying the doll, however I'm too scared that her color could end up being blotchy and uneven and I'm way too scared to accidentally mess up a doll like that. I'm not so confident considering such mods.

Maybe I should contact Withdoll one more time and ask whether they intend to offer such a free color choice event any time soon. I mean if they offered that skin tone for the big girls, it shouldn't be a problem to offer it for the smaller ones, too? o__o

 

This might help you more than just the numbers. (Apologies for the quality, I could have sworn I had the two of them standing together somewhere, but not in any way where you could fairly compare heights.)

And about the feet, yes, Withdoll girls come with flat feet and heel feet, even basic editions.

@Magical Ghoul I can't speak for the boys, but my girl was exactly 41cm tall, which is the height stated on the site.

@Sharkyra I said go ask them. I bet they will do a color choice event soon.

 

Oh man, if they do a color choice event soon, I'm going to be dumping so much money on them. I've had my eye on Luna and Mai, and I wouldn't mind a few more girls! Ever since I stumbled across my Eliza in the MP, I've completely fallen in love with their sculpts and bodies.

 

@PChu I say you too should go and ask them. If they see there are enough people asking for an event, maybe they will do it!

I'm bad. I just put a Rosa on layaway with them. I had her on my list and wanted to lock in the sale price, in case they change it back soon.

Hi all!

Well, Uliat, my Juwel, was intended to be a D&D tiefling and I planned for him to have horns. In april 2014, just a month after his arrival, I bought all the supplies, but only yesterday I finally had the inspiration and started the work.
I used green matter and I'm quite happy with the result, even if the modelling was a nightmare. I'm currently waiting to have the horns completely dried to paint them black and then gloss them.

 

The horns look great. I'm not familiar with the green stuff you used. I may have to look into that.

Also, I also have a Tiefling character (playing Pathfinder). He's a Rakshasa Summoner :3 (still waiting for him to arrive. he's the LS Bai Ling, so I won't be able to share him here.)

 

So I sent in my down payment on Saturday, after having placed the order on Friday. But my order still hasn't updated to show that I've sent some of the payment. I received no receipt or confirmation via e-mail, BUT my Paypal does show that the funds have been deducted. I asked a question about it on the Q&A yesterday, but so far, no response.

Is it normal for payments to be in limbo for a few days?

 

First of all, congrats on your Rosa! I received my Rosa on New Year's Eve and posted pictures of her in this thread if you're interested.

The Lunar New Year holiday is going on in most Asian countries right now. Everyone generally gets ~1 week off of work, so WITHdoll may not update your order until they get back from their holiday break. I'd suggest waiting it out and checking in with them again next week.

 

I got an email from WD showing off a new elf girl that also has a vampire head. I love her but T_T

edit; whoops, just checked out her sales page and she's the 60cm size. I'd love to see something like her in the smaller size too. (though it's still sad for me since I do collect the big ones too).

I've been thinking about giving one of my girls a redo to make her fit in more with the rest of my crew. We'll see though.

 

My Withdoll Cathy is loving her new Bunny Nine body but today we were back on her original Withdoll body. And we tried her Nine9style Bunny Nine tops and I'm so happy they fit! So she can wear her new sweaters and shirts on both bodies--though, the long sleeves become three quarter sleeves on the Withdoll body. lol My Taren head in the background showing off a very bad hybrid--I was using his neckhole to test a neck donut I had formed out of hot glue. I will start pestering Withdoll about their limited resin colors so I can get this poor guy to be a full doll!

 

So, I finished Uliat's "rack"!


@Anante: Your Cathy looks so classy in that outfit! And good luck for finding a body for your Taren, he totally deserves one. Usually they have special resin colors during events... or at least I got Uliat during an event.

Withdoll replied to my inquiry this morning. so it looks like my deposit was posted, and I'm all set One more payment in a month's time, and it'll just be waiting

 

I just got my Luna head in the mail today! I am so excited, I hope to share her soon!
With doll's resin is such a nice quality. Nice weight and toothy finish. I was surprised at how pink their normal skin was and how small the head looked!
I plan to hybrid her on a souldoll NL body... But that probably won't arrive til a couple more months TT TT

I was also surprised at how tiny my Rosa's head was when I got her. She was my first doll to wear 12mm eyes.

 

@NekoNyanMew thank you! Luna has 8-10 mm eyes! All my 12mm eyes are useless! I may need to get some 10mm with small irises... I was really hoping that all my girls can just have the same eyes size (makes eye shopping and swapping so much easier)

@LuckyXIII It happened the same to me! I thought she was mini sized! I would like to see more mature less asian boys from Withdoll, though. In mini size, I mean.

I agree with the eyes. 12mm are useless on Rachel too, although she needs 12mm sclera to prevent awful gaps!
I'm still searching for urethanes for my Rachel. Makos are a no-go.

I am still waiting for my first Withdoll, Emma, to arrive. I have a feeling it will be a long wait, what with the Lunar New Year and now another holiday on March 1st. In the meantime I haven't bought anything for her. I'm hoping she will fit into many of the things I already have for slim minis. One of the first things I do with a new doll is pull out my boxes and sit down to a marathon session of trying on wigs, clothes, shoes, and eyes. After that I'll know what I need to buy or sew.

Ah yes, it has been quiet. Weather here hasn't been suitable for faceups... so I'm just waiting... also waiting on the souldoll body for my girl. T_T I really wish I can start working on my Luna soon!

 

I just received a lovely pair of Mako eyes, which I promptly put in Crescent (my WITHdoll Rosa). Unfortunately, I've been having trouble photographing them properly as they're a dark green color that is easily distorted on camera. When I get a chance I'm going to try shining a flashlight on Crescent's face while I photograph her, which will hopefully lighten the eyes up.

I've gotta say, though, urethanes look amazing on her.

I took the liberty of reminding WITHdoll about my order a few times, so I may have been bugging them a little bit.

 

That's good to know I just glanced over the waiting room thread, and it seemed like they were taking longer than that Though I don't suppose everyone who orders bothers to record it.

I'm pretty excited to get her. I adore her eyes. She's like a DIM Flowne, all grown up and elegant though
