No, character wise they are meant to be all black. They are actually a black iris and pupil and a size too big for her. There is actually a tiny little bit of white on either side that you can see from some angles. I do want to find all black eyes for her though. Supernova, I'm thinking currently they're busy wrapping up the shipping of the Elf Hunter girls and Macaron Fairies. They sometimes take a bit longer to reply when they have a lot of orders to complete.

They don't send email invoices, you can either make the payment via the PayPal link when you place your order or afterwards send the money to them manually from your PayPal account. Their PayPal address is listed in the sidebar. ^^

 

Ooo I thought I was gonna pay when I went through checkout but I must of missed it. :s

 

Supernova, Yeah, the link is kinda hard to miss... I only discovered it quite recently myself. xD; Most companies that I've ordered from have required to send the payment manually, so I'm used to doing that if the Paypal address is listed on the website. That's why most of the time I don't even realise to look for a PayPal link at the check out, haha. :'D


Phew, it's the first proper non-rainy day in a week so I thought I'd do some painting. I just finished Aimi's face up, now I'm waiting for the glue on the eyelashes to dry. I'll have to see if I manage some photos of her before it gets too dark... I'm not sure how I feel about the face up and I don't have a single wig that would be Aimi's style so I'll have to wait for her wig to arrive before I can say for sure. I haven't made clothes for her yet either, ahah. xD;; Well, I'll go look for something for her to wear. Hopefully I can edit a photo here shortly. :'3

Supernova, For some reason they don't send a confirmation for your order at all, so you'll need to check your order status on the website. The only order related notice they eventually send via email is the shipping notice.


Despite it being a really bright day, it's getting dark fast again... I did get one decent photo of Aimi that I somewhat managed to save in photoshop. -.-;;;


Luckily she's into lolita fashion and uses wigs when she dresses up, so it's not completely awful that nothing I have is even close to her natural haircolour and style (short light brown). xD;; When I was painting her, I was afraid I made her freckles too dark... but they barely show up in photos, so I had nothing to worry about after all, ahah. Hopefully I'll get a wig in a more appropriate colour soon, so that I can see how I feel about this face up... -.-;;; She's cute, though~

Mizya I have storage issues with my own shoes, with fabrics and now doll clothes are a menace, hahaha.
Regarding the outside photos, I agree with you: being with someone while taking photos is probably a lot easier than going alone!
Maybe a MNF M-line hybrid? I was researching that option, with a Ruby/Rosa head also, and found out that the D and E busts have a smaller neck size, of 6,5cm that should work with Withdoll white resin. And OMG such a heigh difference would be so cute!
Also, Apate is so gorgeous, love that new wig and the photo. And Aimi is so cute! I relly like her eyeliner and the subtle freckles.

Mizya - She looks great! She's definitely channelling that lolita look! Shows your talents as she has such a different look to your Emma sculpt.

I did get a confirmation email after paying! It was very short but it's given me some reassurance! They might of done it because I asked them to confirm they'd received payment from me on the QnA board.

Ah, now I can relax and play the waiting game! I also caved and added the geta shoes/hairpin to the order. Pretty pricey for what you get but I haven't seen many geta shoes around and it will be nice to have a pair of shoes that are made to fit her feet. :P

 

Musume, Haha, luckily my own shoe collection is still reasonable, but I admit that Mi Cha and her big sis have a lot of shoes. x'D I have this small cupboard for my doll shoes, originally I could fit the shoes nicely on the shelves... but now there are too many, so I always have to put the cupboard on the floor on its back before I open it, or all the shoes are going to come rolling out when I open the door, lol! It's cheaper to buy shoes for my dolls than for myself, so I live through them. :'D Going out to photograph by myself isn't that bad either, usually I get to be in peace as long as I don't go places where there are lots of people - I once made the mistake of going to a Japanese garden in our capital city during the Hanami festival AND it was also Mother's Day, so the garden was full of people, I couldn't get any photos taken. Never again! @__@;;; But when I'm with friends, it's easy to ignore other people even if they stare. And it's also more fun, too~

Oh gosh, no... if there's a body that I like even less than the Withdoll girl one, then it's the MNF bodies (I've had four MNF girls in the past and sold them all). xD;; They have nice elbow joints but I don't like anything else about them. And while Fairyland's white skin is almost paper white when it arrives, it yellows pretty fast after one year or so... and then continues to turn even more yellow. I just recently parted with a MNF A-line boy body that I had received in 2009, and it was SO yellow compared to one original piece of the body that I had kept in a box in the dark. -.-;; Ever since getting Supiadoll's gorgeous pale and slightly peachy white skin, I've been spoiled. xD I don't want anything else now, lol! And to begin with, I want a body that has a waist joint, like Minisup and Narae bodies do. I don't like the joint right under the breasts at all, MNFs also have that like the current WD girl body. -.-;; That's why I hope WD will make a waist joint for the next girl body.

And thank you for the compliments about my girls~ I admit I have an addiction for painting eyeliner like this, I do it for my own make up as well, haha. xD But I really like the look of it~


Supernova, Aww, thank you! Haha, well, with my fantasy dolls I try to make them look a bit more "otherworldly" or so... I use bolder colours and try to come up with some interesting details for their face up. My human girls have quite similar, natural face ups, but each of them have their own clothing style, so they still look different from each other (at least to me, lol). But there's definitely a clearer difference between my fantasy dolls and human dolls... especially since most of my fantasy ones are Gray/Violet skin. x'D

It's good to hear that you got everything sorted out! And it's nice that they sent you an email, too~ Withdoll staff is really wonderful, they have one of the best customer service that I've come across during my years in this hobby!

I've seen the geta and hairpins in person, and they're very high quality. I'm sure that you won't be disappointed! And like you said, it's really hard to find geta shoes in MSD scale... and often they are too big, then. >.<;; The ones that Withdoll makes fit perfectly, that's for sure. :3 It'll be wonderful to see more Nana's around! Her sculpt is really cute~

About the photos, yes! I can imagine that! The parks I have near my house have a lot of people running in there, or exercising or with dogs... so I don't dare to go =S
Regarding MNF hybrid, I though about the yellowing issue... I knew it was bad, but not *that* bad. Also, Withdoll doesn't yellow to much, so they will stop matching really soon, I think. It is true, there are few bodies with waist joint, and the hobby needs diversity!

I wanted to share a closeup of the boots I did for Coco!

 

Hey guys, I'm back again (briefly). The weather was finally right and it's the weekend, so I actually got to go out and take some photos. =u= I was going to make Delmia a new outfit altogether -one that would match a similar one I have for Pris. But damn, I used Prisca's old patterns and didn't test them and both pieces I made ended up so horrible I threw them straight into the trash. Never using my old patterns again, because apparently they suck. She got some new weapons and accessories for the kimono, but she's still wearing the same outfit essentially. Next time I shall succeed.

I also have a plan to take an updated colour comparison with sweet green but I just don't know when I'll have the time and energy. Work has been a killer lately and the days have gotten so short it gets dark immediately after I get home. And then it rains every second day. So gloomy.

Oh, and congrats to everyone's new arrivals. I keep visiting the thread, but I rarely have the energy to comment anymore. x_x

 

My secondhand Elf Angela arrived on Halloween! Seems like just the holiday for her, since I plan to mod vampire fangs onto her lips, huhuu~

She's my very first Withdoll, and I'm in love~ she seems so delicate yet sturdy... there's so much detail in her face and ears and she seems so dainty! One thing that surprised me a little was how flat her feet are... they barely have any arch to them! On the upside, she stands like a rock!

I'll post some photos later~ she's still blank and I'm still in awe of how lovely she is even so xD

@ Bee379: Your Halloween photo is so cool~! The lighting and boke make it look like a digital painting!

Musume, Yes, the best shoes are only available in SD16 size. >.<;; I'm thankful I don't have a doll that could wear that size, because the temptation to buy all the lovely shoes would be too big, lol! But at some point I will want SD-sized version of at least one of my model girls (especially if Yenna gets her husband in SD-size too) because... all the shoes! x'D Speaking of shoes, do you have plans to make more for Coco? I hope so, because the ones that I've seen so far have been lovely!

It's still super gloomy and I haven't had much inspiration for photos nor sewing. -.-;; At least the wigs that I ordered a week ago have finally shipped... I hope they'd arrive this week, but we'll see. I'm curious to see if the wig that I inteded as Apate's default suits her~ :3

 

I am almost positive they are delivering my girl today. The only day all month I won't be home. T_T Ed Sheeran concert should be worth it though.

I took Jace and Ed out to the convention I was at this weekend, and while I didn't get many photos of dolls there, I did take one cute one. I've been thinking of getting an Aileendolls Dragon for them for a while now, and was able to play with a couple of them while at the convention:

Also Holy carp the outfit is kewl, my mnf stole most of it (except for the halter top as her nurps just peak over the top).
And my other MNF stole the bow/quiver/arrows, then again I did buy them for her.
The tan is soo nice as well! *melts* All my worries about not liking her are just gone!

 

Wow, what a picture! I love the way yo use light in your photos, there's this magical feeling in every one of them.

The shoes are really pretty, Coco's a lucky girl! I'd never get anything done by hand, I'm always using sewing machine... I can knit and all, but I never get anything done. I really admire your patience and skills!

I'm sorry that I don't remember, I wasn't familiar with the game and I just remember you mentioning something about it a while ago. But it seems fitting for the dragon to be non-realistic (compared to, say, Cuarto dragons) for them. ^^;

I'm starting to believe that we won't see the sun before 2015 so taking photos is frustrating... Especially as I'm pants with editing them. But here's one of Lili! I actually painted her freckles yesterday (and managed to remove one of her head magnets, then glue it back only halfway, cry about it to my boyfriend who removed it: at that point the hole was full of glue and the magnet didn't fit in anymore - I dumped the magnet and used blue tack...) However, this photo was taken two weeks ago, I just didn't have the time before to edit and post:

Oh, no worries! Neither is actually an OC (though they've deviated from their original versions), and both were played in a roleplay. I played the blond (Ed), who's from an anime, and another person played the dark-haired guy (Jace), who's from a trading-card-game. I do think the Aileendolls dragons fit with them better than Cuarto dragons (which are amazing!), or the new Eve the Cat dragon (also really cool!), so I'm working on trying to get one of the little baby ones for their "pet."

Your photo looks all right to me (and lovely girl!), but I can never say for sure if my screen-temperature adjustment program is affecting how I see images unless I turn it off for a while. (It adjusts the screen temperature to match indoor lighting after dark, making everything a bit yellow, to help prevent the whiter light from keeping you awake; it works great and I never notice it's on unless I'm actually thinking about it!)

Mista Isilme, Oh yeah, one reaaally brief frosty day, but I'm so glad it hit on a Saturday when I'm free. We also have actual snow since yesterday and probably for all day today too, so I really should run outside to take some photos again, but we'll see. After that it'll turn to the same rain and slush you have. =__= (And yes, you can buy the wings from Cuarto separately or when you buy a dragon from her. I got my dragon second hand and had to wait for Cuarto to contact me from my preorder for the wings.)
She's looking pretty. I'm glad things turned okay and you got your head back safely. Shame about the face up not being what you wanted, though. I'm definitely not willing to do business with her again since it seems like she's back to being weird about it. x_o

I do really like the Elf dolls they have released too, although the Rosybrown skin is beautiful so them releasing more Elf dolls would be a dangerous thing for me! ^^; I love the ears the eld hunters have too. Although I have seen their Elf ears vary a little too!

I'm looking forward to seeing what new limited editions they come out with and I would like to own a doll in rosybrown, I love the subtle purple tone in it.

 

This is true! WD are very dangerous for me because of the limiteds they do! ^^; I do wish they would sell some of the clothes separate though.

I love the purple hue to it as well, it really is such a lovely colour. I like it a lot.

Musume, I'm weird because I either like 41-43cm OR 65-68cm range female dolls. :'D I once had a 58cm girl and the size was just too strange for me, in a way too big but then also not big enough, I suppose. The girl I'd want to get in SD-size is Yun Hee. :3 She's the one who loves shoes the most, her hubby even told her that she'd better not buy so many pairs that they'll end up filling a room. xD And about the shoes, I see. ^^ It's good to work on other projects in between shoe making... I've ended up with many pairs of shoes for my girls, but they don't have nearly enough clothes to wear with them, lol! x'D And thank you for your kind words, as always~

I got my For My Doll wig order yesterday so I snapped a quick photo of Aimi before it got too dark:


This wig is cute, but I decided to order another one from Leeke anyway... especially since Apate's wig was just awful, it doesn't suit her at all. -__- Hopefully the wigs from Leeke will be better... I should've trusted my instincts and gone with Leeke from the start, because most of my dolls' wigs are from them, ahah.. xD;

Mista, the tiny dragon that suits them is pretty limited, but I'm going to give it a shot! I'll know tomorrow if they've got an incoming "pet" or not.

 

Keket, he's quite new, I think he was released sometime during spring-summer so that probably explains it. Personally I prefer some of the other boys because they look more mature and that's rare in mini size - I'd guess that is a factor too, as there are a lot of younger looking minis from other companies too but not too much mature ones. He's cute though, so I understand that you'd like to see more of him. ^^

Hi guys, all of your WithDolls are just lovely. I plan to order an Emma and a Ruby together once I finish saving up for them. I was wondering if anybody could tell me if Real UV is lighter than Fairyland tan? Thanks!

 

I have a UV withdoll. Don't own a fairyland doll, but I've seen the tan in person a few times. And fairyland is darker.

 

Oh I didn't even think of that, the fact that he's new. And I do like Taren and Mai as well for example, but maybe it's just me but Rory reminded me of a SWITCH sculpt. Hm, or maybe it's wishful thinking that there would be SWITCH msds.

Mitis Feles Thanks so much! Yes, she has lovely eyes and I'm glad that I had a good color for her since it was the only size 12mm I have. Green just seems an Elf like color for her. Well, the mouth is the way it is and I just took lots of pics and came up with this really lovely one. I do appreciate how Withdoll does the sometimes teeth and sometimes not, too. And I really love my Ruby!

Does anyone know where I could find a kimono that fits withdoll?

I saw a nice one on dollmore but I don't think it will fit.

 

Dollmore do tend to be on the chunkier side so will most likely be too big. Although with kimono's depend on how they had done it you can get away with it a little more. Withdoll are however kind of similar to Minifee in size, especially with something like a kimono so I would have a search to see what you can find for Minifee since they are a really common size.

Withdoll's bigger chest did used to be bigger then MNF, but MNF now have the bigger sizes out and WD do also have the smaller chest. So that will probably help, and I know the WD girls are taller. Those are the main size differences to look out for.

 

Yea I've noticed that with my mystic kids doll, the dollmore clothes can fit but they're a bit too big. I'll just keep searching minifee/unoa. :P

That doesn't surprise me actually. Since from what I have heard the Dollmore clothes do tend to be on the bigger side. Which is a shame because they do have some really nice things on there. All my girls are Slim MSD, so nothing would work for my girls. But yes, things like Minifee/Unoa should work. So would Resinsoul but I see less things modelled on those dolls.

its a real shame there aren't more options for slim MSDs. The popularity of minifees and more companies producing slim MSDs, you'd think there would be more for them. I guess we'll have to rely on places like etsy for now. :p
