And finally I have good news. My little fox Lucy has shipped at last. No flight number yet, but she is sure to be here by the end of the week. I'm so happy!

 

@vermont chick : Congrats on your little fox shipping! I really like that series, and especially the Lucy head mold. She's so delightfully mischevious.

I am glad you enjoy my little panda! She was fun to paint and I enjoyed her expression. I hope you'll share your Lucy as soon as you get her!

 

She's here! I can't believe it took only 2 travel days. Lucy left Korea on Monday and arrived today. For people who wondered, yes, her head is much larger than lamb Laney's. I'll post a side-by-side photo later. For now, here's Lulu! (I had to rename her as I already have a Lucy in the house.)

How stinking cute is that? For the record, her fox suit was much harder to put on than Laney's lamb suit. She wears 14mm eyes instead of 12mm like Laney wears. And her legs were so tightly strung that I couldn't switch to her fox feet. Lulu doesn't care; she's just happy to be here.

 

@vermont chick : What a cutie! I also had a hard time with my animal suit. Lulu is an adorable name. I hope you'll post more pics with her sheep friend!

 

Thanks! One thing I've noticed about both my animal suits is that I can't straighten the doll's legs once they're inside it. It's almost like the doll is squatting; can't stand up completely and has a hard time sitting. Still, there's no arguing with the cute factor.

Here's the comparison pic with lamb Laney (I've called her Lamb Chop). If it weren't so hard to get the lamb hood back on, I'd show a pic with both of them bare-headed. Sorry Lulu is in the same pose as the above photo. I placed Lamb Chop next to her without changing her pose.

 

@vermont chick : LOL! Squatting sounds right. My can tell my Mei's legs are all twisted in the suit but I can't really straighten her out either.

So...

Aaaanyone else pretty stoked about Butler and Witch? I know I'm probably getting Butler. I was so disappointed in the faces of the last release of the cats, but now we have them with more interesting faces!

I'm just trying to decide on skin tone. I usually prefer "normal" or darker skin tones (I like natural looking dolls), but the cream white looks great in the promo pics. I think because it matches the white tummy fur. I wonder if going with "normal" skin would be too dark to look right... thoughts?

 

I'm very tempted with the Butler too! Love the face work, he'll be my first Withdoll doll of tiny size but I'm sure not the last - their works in this size are great in my opinion.

 

This would also be my first 16cm from Withdoll. I have one of their mini sized girls, and she's lovely. The poses they put Butler in in the promo pics are really fun and natural looking.

 

Butler and Witch are both cute. If I had the money I would buy Butler in gray skin with the witch costume. I like the idea of a happy little witch. Makes you wonder what she's up to.

 

That's true! The promos Withdoll do for their tiny's are very natural, fun and lively - very tempting to be getting the dolls

Considering the skin color question you've mentioned above, I'd share my personal opinion if you don't mind me doing so ^^ Despite me having almost the opposite tastes in the skin colors of my dolls (I prefer the "widely fairytale" look for any of the dolls I have, rather than "natural" ), I'd suggest looking at how the doll would fit into your collection and how he'l look aside with your other dolls. So as I'd totally agree that the outfit is very lovely and looks great on him, my advice would be to consider still getting the Butler in rather "normal" - the color and look you like most with your dolls. For me it would be opposite, e.g. I would hardly get the "natural"-looking fullset and would prefer white skin, as I've had the issue with doll in "normal" not fitting in and being "eye-catchy" in the bad meaning of it, so I had to part with it because of that. Anyway it's up to you to decide I myself would take the white for sure for him, but as I mentioned it's just because of my tastes in general.

 

Ohhhh man I definately want the Pooky Butler!! He's the sculpt I'm after as my last tiny But I do have my own Withdoll tiny, a Lamb Lea

Anyways, I'm planning to get a Pooky as Q's playmate so hopefully I'll be able to get myself a Withdoll Pooky!

Aileen, thank you for the well thought-out advice. Your reasoning is sound. I should probably go with normal skin to mesh with the rest of my dolls. Here's hoping he's just as sweet looking that way!

Maybe a strange question... I ordered my Butler on the 21st and selected that I'd like to pay with PayPal. It said they would send an invoice, and I still haven't received one. Is this normal?

 

I do not remember them sending an invoice. You should either just pay or ask on the Q&A board.

Yes! Withdoll does adorable stories! But I just ordered a basic Coco also! I have been able to resist the animal suits in the past but I can't resist a duckling!

Has anyone tried Withdoll's layaway option but with tinies? Because on their layaway program, it says the first payment would be $150 but the whole doll (w/o extras) is already $160

 

I'm not sure but you should check back to their Q&A section because someone else asked the same question.

 

I used layaway with the turkish angora cat, but I had all the extras so the total including shipping ended up being $317 so I just paid the $150 and then paid the rest the next month.

 

So their answer to this question is this (on their Q&A section)

 

I sent them a question about this, and @JellysFancy has it right. They will take a down payment of $60.

I like Kaya's head best, it looks just like an angry duck my best friend had.

I got my macaron fairies using layaway...I just can't remember how much I paid. Glad to know they accept less than $150 usd. I missed playing with my dolls and being around here seeing other dolls

Hello, I just placed my order through Withdoll's website and chose pay through Paypal. But after that I couldn't find any button to go to Paypal page. Does anyone have similar experience like this before? Thank you.

 

It's usually at the bottom of the order page. There are a lot of things that can go wrong though. You can just pay with paypal and include your order number in the comments.

 

@nancy_schroeder_ca Thank you for your advice I'll try to contact them because in the last page there only a button for paying via Visa and Credit card. If they don't give a response soon, I'll do as your suggestion about paying in Paypal and leave order number in the comment.

 

Yes, I had the same experience. They say on the page that a message will be sent to your email; I eventually discovered mine in the spam folder. This was after I paid the order via Paypal and simply added my order number as a note with the payment. It's a little nerve wracking, but after a few days they acknowledged my payment and changed the order status to Paid.

 

I think the Visa/Mastercard link actually takes you to Paypal.

 

I just checked my spam folder but none of their messages appeared. So I will pay through my Paypal account and leave my order number in the comment. Thank you for your advice.

Oh, I don't know that. I might try to click and see where it goes next time when I purchase a new doll. Thank you so much!
