Withdoll 16cm Tinies Discussion

I assume Laney will arrive first, so Lucy will be my second WD tiny. I love her little face and outfit, too. I hope Withdoll doesn't release a lot of cute little animal dolls or I'll end up owning a zoo!

Yes, I saw them. They're cute, but luckily for me they are not pulling on my purse strings. I'd probably like them better without the hats and vests.

 

I really really love those Pandas.... I am just contemplating if I want to spend nearly $300 for such a tiny thing. They're do cute though!

 

It kind of bothers me that they're launching new tinies when the foxes haven't even started being delivered yet

 

WD re-released the lambs a month before the foxes and they haven't shipped either. Don't worry, we'll get our dolls eventually.

 

I was hoping for mine to arrive in July, but I discovered she won't be Here until August and the wait is killing me.

 

I also ordered Fox Lucy and I'm so excited for her! I had Wolf Stacy briefly but she didn't work out for me, so I've been waiting for Withdoll to release a face that is more suitable for my plans. I really like the look and poseability of the Baby Withdolls. ^^ When Lucy was released, it was love at first sight! I really love that she's got more Asian-looking features, because the character that I want to shell as a doll is Korean. :3 I would've liked to get her the fox suit as well - it's so adorable, but sadly couldn't afford it right now. Withdoll kills me with all these cute animal suits, it'd be so much fun to have a collection of them, haha. xD So far my favourites are the lamb, penguin, dino and fox suits - and these new pandas are pretty cute, too!

@Enredadiza I believe that the average waiting time for Withdoll is still around three months. I haven't ordered from them in a while but they're a small company with the staff of five people total, and two of them do all the casting so... if they have a lot of orders, the wait time can get a bit long. But they do a great job and their resin is high quality, so I'm sure that you'll love your Lucy when you get her and she'll be well worth the wait! :3

@Musume : Thank you for the encouragement! I purchased a Pandastic Baby! Such a hard choice, but I chose Mei. x3 I think Bao and Po are so cute, but Mei's smiling face is too charming to pass up.

 

Doesn't anyone else find their back of the skull quite big and heavy?
And when you add nice round glass eyes (that are usually heavier than acrylic eyes) and a wig (maybe even with a wig cap?) the overall weight of the head is too much for the small body.
At least I felt like it when I had still my Withdoll tiny. D:

Yet still I want to buy a new one when interesting release comes. XD

 

Yes, and with magnets and horns... it is a challenge to get them to pose.
I have a little Kai, and he's cute but a hassle.

 

Top heavy heads is a problem with most of the dolls in this size range.

 

Hi, I am new to the site and still learning to navigate. Can someone please tell me where to find wigs in the US. If there is a post you can steer me to it. everything i find is overseas. thank you. I need a wig for a yellow lati Lea.

Hmm might be! I've only had WD.
But at least the headback could be lighter and the back the the skull rounder (less resin so not so heavy).
It would really take some of the weight off. n_n
They're really cute dolls otherwise!

 

After a couple days, my sweet little Penn has her apprentice mage outfit all done!


I haven't yet decided what to do for her faceup yet, but I'll be eventually sending her to someone who can suede her as well as do her faceup 'cause holy heckie is she kicky o.0

 

@Sylph - The outfit is adorable and I love how it matches her eyes. She's cute even without a faceup, but I'm sure she'll look amazing once it's done..

 

Have you tried putting pipe cleaners on her joints? That gets rid of the kickiness pretty fast.

 

@vermont chick Thank you I had to do a little bit of hunting to find the purple fabric because most of it was too light or too dark. I got some odd looks from taking her with me into the shop as well lol

You could have taken just the eyes into the shop. I haven't yet found the nerve to bring a doll shopping with me--not even to show off a finished costume.

 

I sent a message to Withdoll and they told me they would be shipping my Lucy next week

 

My Lamb Laney has shipped! Four months, almost to the day, after I ordered her. I thought perhaps Fox Lucy might be in the same shipment, even though I ordered her a month later. Seeing as they're both cream white, I had hoped WithDoll would cast them at the same time. Guess not, or else Lucy's fox suit isn't ready. I'm impatient to get my little ones home.

 

And she's here! I haven't stopped squeeing since she arrived--and I'm way too old to squee. Cutest thing ever!!!

I received a shipping notice for my Fox Lucy today (she's white skin, blank and I didn't order the outfit either). I can't wait to see her! ^^ However the number doesn't work yet, so she most likely hasn't reached the post office. It will probably take a couple of days until I can start properly tracking her, haha. xD I'm pretty excited for her because it's been a while since I last bought a resin doll~ Sadly the weather has taken a humid & rainy turn so I wonder when I'll be able to do a face up for her... =.=

 

Thanks @Mizya! It's good to see another Fox Lucy shipping, although it looks like only the blank dolls for now. My shipping numbers usually take a day before they start to work. It takes an additional day or more for the US Postal Service to show the information. By then the doll is almost home!

 

The best part about the lamb costume is how squeeze-able it is! Lamb Chop (Laney) is eagerly anticipating Lucy's arrival, too, so they can run off and have adventures.

 

@Musume - They're very cute. I'm not a cat person, so I don't know that I need one of these, but I hope others get them so I can enjoy the photos.

 

The little Siamese outfit is so adorable!!!! I really want just the outfit, but I don't think you purchase the little tiny animal suits separately correct?

Still waiting for a shipping notice for my panda...@_@;;; I ordered without makeup but it's still taking a while!

 

Sadly you can't order only the Outfit and you can order just one outfit per doll.

I'm very undecided if I should buy one. They are freaking cute, but I'm not a cat person and eventually they will release dolls I like more on Halloween.

 

The cats are so cute. I love that they have fat little kitten tummies I ordered the white one. It was hard to choose. The white one won in the end because she has an extra fluffy tail.

 

I like that Withdoll made cats for Halloween because I'm a cat person through and through - but thankfully none of the faces speak to me so I'm safe. I'd love one of those cat suits, though, as usual. xD I'd have a collection of their cute animal suits, if they were available separately and I could afford it, haha~

But I've got some news as my Fox Lucy arrived yesterday! The morning was gloomy, but thankfully in the afternoon the sun appeared and I was able to paint her. Today I made a dress for her, it's been a while since I last sewed something small so it didn't turn out as nicely as I hoped... but well, it's good enough for now and at least she's got something to wear.

She is such a cutie~ Although, she needs eyes of her own and a new wig because this one is too small... I was surprised to see that her head is bigger than the Strawberry/Stacy sculpt that I had a couple of years back. I have some trouble balancing her because the head is so heavy..

@Mizya - Congrats! She's so adorable! Mine hasn't shipped yet, as I ordered the fullset. I'm really surprised to see how big Lucy's head is. I'm sure my Lamb Laney's head is smaller because her fullset size 5-6 wig is loose. When my Lucy arrives I'll photograph the two of them together without wigs to see how big a difference it is. It's odd that WD wouldn't have a uniform head size for the tinies, isn't it?

 

@Mizya Are you sure, that the cats are the Halloween dolls? I thought they release them around Halloween.

 

I certainly would have bought a ballerina if they hadn't put those huge heads on them! Now I check the head measurement first when they post a new tiny!

 

I received my Lucy yesterday! It was really hard to get her into the fox suit and I'm not too pleased with her eye colour (I'd prefered green or hazel), but she's adorable and I love her

 

@Enredadiza, Little fox Lucy is adorable! When I would prefer one of a few colors I add a comment on the order that "I would prefer green or hazel eyes if possible." Frequently companies will accommodate the request.

 

Yeah, I thought about that but I didn't want to impose and I like to be surprised, hahaha.

I had trouble getting the lamb suit on Laney, too. But once you get them dressed it's totally worth the struggle.

What eye color did they send you? I didn't use WD's eyes for Laney. I think they sent me brown. I would have preferred blue or green.

 

I got purple, wanna trade?

 

Let's wait and see what they send with my Lucy.

 

@vermont chick Thank you! It's interesting to know that Laney has such a small head! This is a 5-6" wig and it was okay on Stacy, and now slightly too small for Lucy. It's a bit of a shame that there seems to be size variation in the heads... but then again, their 40cm range dolls have different head sizes as well so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But, I hope that your Lucy will be shipped out soon! I'm sure that you'll love her, she's got such a sweet expression~

@Feylla Well, Withdoll released their 40cm range Halloween dolls (Witch Maid Ruby & Emma + Scarecrow Cathy) early because they are aiming to ship them out so that their new owners would get the dolls home for Halloween... so it seems unlikely that they'd release more limited dolls on Halloween. Of course, I could be wrong... but it wasn't that long after the 40cm Halloween dolls that these cat tinies were introduced, so I'd think they're part of the same early Halloween release batch.

@Enredadiza Congrats on getting your Lucy home! She's such a darling, that fox suit is so adorable~

 

I haven't seen any Pandastic Baby arrivals, so I'm not sure how many succumbed to the Panda cuteness, but my little Mei arrived a few weeks ago, and I just finished her faceup today! She's too stinkin' cute for words. I didn't get the default wig at the time of purchase, because I'm planning a custom from Beansproutmomo, but for now she looks cute bald in a panda suit!

So nice to see other animal babies such as @Enredadiza 's Foxy baby. Looks like you got her by the scruff! xD

 

She's so cute! Her faceup is very well done. I love it!
