David Bowie leads himself well to being a doll, i have seen some very nice Bowie dolls...

i would love to see some 'tough guy' dolls, like Jason Momoa as i mentioned earlier, or the winchesters, i believe someone mentioned them as well?

What about a Patrick Jane doll, i would LOVE to see him as a doll, that hair and those eyes i would squish him right up!

 

I'm actually doing that right now...I had a friend who passed away a little over a month ago and I'm in the process of shelling her into a Minifee. The doll isn't going to look exactly like her and the name will probably have a different nickname to it but i plan on the style of hair to be similar as well as the clothing style. Right now I only have a sleeping head which is oddly symbolic.

I have to admit, that sometimes when I look at people (though no one specific or in particular) I find myself thinking, "I love those lips/that nose/the eye shape" and would love a doll made from the lips/eyes/nose/face shape/etc.

Seeing as I'm doing a cosplay group, I'm doing a great many characters (using, btw, the same dolls cosplaying different animes, etc)
I'm doing Bleach first (like, ALL the Shinigami plus others), then Gintama, Cowboy Bebop, InuYasha. I'm also doing Star Trek (TOS & Next Gen) - some of them anyway. Captains Kirk & Picard, Troi, Ricker, Sulu, Scottie, McCoy, a generic Vulcan. Also the crew of Firefly.
I've already got Ichigo & Renji except I still need to do the tattoos.

He was beautiful when he was younger, and he's not terrible to look at now. These days he reminds me of Johnny Depp.

Angelina Jolie and Lana Del Rey. I don't like to have idols, but those two are the closest I have to them. I like their aesthetics, I like their looks in dolls anyway, like mature Iplehouse dolls.

I don't think I could get a dude I fancied irl like Johnny Depp or someone as a doll, I'd find that too weird. I'm recently discovering I'm not really into male dolls anyway. Poor Gabriel is being kind of ignored. I had a plan for one more male doll but I'm not sure how to go about that anymore, but he was inspired by Silas from The Da Vinci Code, though he's not the actual character.

I'm not sure about characters in TV programmes and films. I wouldn't like having to stick to their character, only dressing them in character appropriate costumes, I wouldn't feel like I'd have freedom with them. There are lots of characters I like but not enough to doll-ify.

I want the Korean pop group BigBang dollified, and I'm working on my own group loosely based on them (a few of them looser than others). I thought I had outgrown being a boyband fan girl when NSYNC went on hiatus - oh god, have I just dated myself - but they're just so COOL. They're music is great, Korean or not (and I'm not obsessed with K-pop in general), and their fashion is part of the reason I wanted to start my "own" group.

The only other person I specifically want in doll form is Leonardo DiCaprio circa Romeo + Juliet or Titanic. And I feel like the closest sculpt in the doll universe at the moment is the extremely limited edition Oasisdoll Alejandro. I am in danger of finally having a grail doll I will have to pine after in that sculpt.

Geez, NSYNC and a young Leo DiCaprio mentioned in the same post. Remember when the 90's were just a few years ago, and not over a decade ago?

Of course there are lots of actors/actresses and singers and so on that I'd like to dollify. But from the people that are not-that-well-known, they would be two of my best friends, Helenne (she looks like Cleopatra ) and Michael/Akito (he's a cosplayer and he looks a bit like a girl, but he's SO PRETTY ) They both would make such wonderful dolls!

 

Johnny Depp as he is just gorgeous. I already think one of my dolls looks a bit like Andrej Pejic which is fine by me too

I´m happy to see someone remembers Robin of Sherwood ! Michael will forever be "my" Robin, and Judi Trott was my first girl crush, but growing up my favourite somehow became Robert Addie´s Gisburne. Robert will be gone 10 years this November, and I still dream about getting a dollie version of his Gizzie. Minimees don´t work for me though, I´d have to go down another route for this.

Oh, I have a tidy little list... not saying that I daydream about having a special power to turn pretty people into BJDs or anything >_>

1) Park Shin Hye. Because she is so cute! Who could resist that face? I'd want Littlemonica to make her, unless there was a tiny version of her -- then I'd want Fairyland to make her so I can have a sleeping faceplate >A< Actually, I don't care who makes her, as long as they can catch her magic. I'm still on the lookout for a doll with her face. As you can tell, I am a fan of parted lips on BJDs. It gives them extra life!


2) Will Smith. Because... why not? I'd want Iplehouse to make him, specifically from his Wild Wild West role, because it'd be an awesome theme to go with. He has a great nose and a defined mouth, and there is something about his default expression that is always playful and warm.

3) Lee Hong Ki. Specifically from his role as Jeremy in You're Beautiful, but it doesn't matter really. (You know, I met him once! Gyaaah! He is so tiny.) I'd want him with an expression similar to the picture below, kind of wistful and everything, unless there was a tiny sized version of him... then I'd want him to have that Jeremy-like happy face. And a sleeping faceplate. >A<! I think Crobidoll, Littlemonica, or (40cm or smaller) Fairyland could pull it off.


4) I'd like a doll with similar features to Yoo Ah In. Specifically those lips and ears. I think Ramcube would have a field day with those features. Iplehouse would pull it off well, too.

I'd love to see Billie Piper as a BJD, though more stylized than realistic, but I wonder if it'd be possible to capture her energy in resin. I don't know if it'd be possible.
I was going to list off Scarlett Johansson, but I realized Iplehouse Jessica looks like her already! I should have realized, as I have Iplehouse Jessica... but mine is a boy. Heh.
A lot of child actors back from when I was a kid would make wonderful KIDs, minis, or tinies. So many that I didn't want to list them because 1) it'd make this post too long and 2) I'd feel kind of creepy looking up a bunch of child actors. o_o;

Those are just a few of the famous-faces I'd love to see in resin form. Maybe not specifically them turned into dolls, because I'd like to see them continue on their journeys >___> but I'd love to see resin versions!

 

I don't think I'd ever want to dollify an actual person; I don't personally know anyone who'd look good as a doll, and I've seen dolls of my favorite celebrities, and they don't look all that desireable to me. ^.^' I'd want to dollify Link from the Legend of Zelda, either as a child or an adult. Though, I think that Volks HAD a head sculpt that screamed Link, but as far as I know it's discontinued...>.>
