my avatar is my unoa cream 2.0 with a faceup by engelmech(i hope i spelled that right!)

 

I wonder about this too! My avatar is my Resinsoul/Bobobie Dan, Tanith. She'sthe coffee skintone, has a faceup by the talented Arrowchild, horns painted by me, and her wig is a JpopDolls Kanalong in Jelly (aqua with cream and copper streaks). She's always beautiful, but this picture of her is particularly nice, which is why I picked it.

 

My Avi is of my DM Lusion, Natalie~Rose. i did her face up. Sometimes I change my avatars though.

My avatar is Minako, an oldskin BW Volks F28 girl; her facial mods and faceup were done by Ravendolls. She's wearing a Leeke W-063wig in Eve Cream, and Ginarolo/Hand Craft style 400 eyes in a dusty aqua color that I don't think is sold anymore.

 

His name is Dice and he's my Migidoll Ryu. Faceup done by Quilibet. He was on an AoD body in this pic, but now he's on a Volks Grafitti body.
He wears random acrylic eyes from ebay and a fur wig from Sunny's. ^_^b

Mine is my grail doll, my Volks SD17 Hikaru Genji, who was perfect for my character Tsanir. I re-did his face-up myself because I hated the featureless pale pink lips they'd given him. He's supposed to have black hair, but for a while he was wearing this random purple fur for the heck of it (the same one Rin has now). I'm afraid I forget where I got the eyes from.

Edit: Wow, I don't even remember using that image now.

 

Mine is a blurry picture of my Virginia, a BBB Pandora. Her face up was done by me.

 

Mine is my goofiest and most cartoon-like doll, a Dollzone Shengxi (a Christmas head from '06) with a Street Fighter type two-buns wig, and really blue glass eyes from lovelyplatform, who used to have a ebay store. Her faceup is one of the few I did that I liked and kept. She makes me smile

Xavier, Dollzone Fei, this is the picture my sister took that won a prize in the Dollzone contest that ended up with us getting our twins.

 

Mine is my Iplehouse Luna, Saffron. :3 I believe this was about a week after I received her (around Christmas) and there is snow in the background OwO..so fun...also she's wearing a crappy wig/sweater I made her back then and a necklace I received in a swap here lol =D

 

My doll is a Soom Glot~ she's waiting on new eyes and wig so she has default eyes and wig at the moment~ (and no faceup T_T yet) if i recall correctly she's wearing the volks melon sherbet set for yo-sd~

 

Mine is my Luts Juri '06 boy, Saa. ^^ He has a Luts faceup right now, but he's going to be sent off for one that suits him a bit better soon. His wig is a custom pink w/black stripes Spite & Malice fur and he has odd eyes. One is a SOOM Veneno and the other is a SOOM darkturquoise. He's on a B&G body and does not have a right arm. This is intentional. XD

 

Mine is Hideo, my Volks Amakusa.

He's got the default faceup and eyes, a MiniOrient outfit, a Monique wig and Orangebabydolly jewelry.

 

Very fun idea for a thread, and interesting to find out who all our avatars are! Mine is my very first ABJD Volks SDC Kaede (Kaede-Sugar). The photo is actually one of her promo shots from Volks, so she's wearing default everything. The fur wig pictured is one of two this first version came with, and the only customizing I've done with her to date has been some seam line removal and the addition of nail color achieved by applying pastels and then coating the shade with clear acrylic.

 

Mine is not a doll. He is Tungfuo from Pili Series (a Taiwanese Puppet kung fu drama show)

 

My avatar is my SOOM Corvi, Roderick. His face-up was done by Buff, and his wig was sewn by me. He's my first BJD.

This is an interesting thread! I often wonder what kind of doll it is in other avatars as well.
My avatar is sometimes not a doll at all, but right now it's my Dollshe Husky, Wolfgang. He doesn't have any fancy esthetic work by anyone notable, but I guess he's my baby of all my BJDs. So, whenever one of my dolls is in my avatar, it's him. :P

 

Mine is Carmody, a uni-Jado with domadoll's le xmas faceup + wig. She's the girl that brought me well into the bjd fold, and is still my favourite bjd.

(I really like this thread! Im always wondering what dolls are in people's avatars! I doubt I'll ever change my avatar. I sort of recognize people by their avatars.)

 

Ohhhh that helps alot, I always see someone's avatar and am all like "oooo I loooove that sculpt!" and can't figure out what sculpt it is.. lol

Mine is of my DOD DOT Calla, Catalina! She has a slightly modified default faceup from DOD.

 

My avatar is my Remiel. He is an Iplehouse E.I.D. Tedros with the default B face up. His eyes (both the green and the violet) as well as his wig all came from Iplehouse as well.

 

The doll in my avatar was my first BJD a Tinybear/Sleeping Elf Large Moona. I think her wig is Tibetan Lamb's Wool and I'm not really sure about her eyes.

 

Ooh hey, this is fun! I have found myself wondering about avatar sculpts too sometimes.

My current avatar is my Batchix Machina Alpha, Sparx. I customized her myself, complete with glowing UV-reactive paint. I also styled her wig (not that you can see much of it... ), and her eyes (in the avatar photo anyway, she has non-glowing ones too that she usually wears) are rhinestones backed with teensy LEDs. I didn't make those, they're actually earrings, but they fit her just right!

 

My avatar is Mazin, a tanned Limhwa Mano. This was a great idea, because I often like someone's doll from their avatar.

Wow I am loving the opportunity to see others and share the chosen special dolly that is our avatar. They go by without any recognition of the great role they play for us here on DOA so it is great to acknowledge their wonderful part in our daily lives ;-).

My little avatar is Flutterby. My Fairyland PukiFee Pukisha with Soon Alk/Yrie wings. I did the faceup and body blushing but she is just about to get a new one.

Mine is my Qiu Yue, a Luts Delf Soony. Her faceup is by Luts. She has brown glass eyes, and in the pic she is wearing an outfit by S&K Dreamhouse. It was actually part of a fullset with a different doll, which I gave to my cousin. But the wig she is wearing came with it, so I'm not sure who makes it...

Mine is my first BJD, the 2004 open eye head from the CP Lishe Elf fullset. She's wearing her default eyes in this picture and it's one of the first pictures taken of her. Her faceup is by my friend, Sherry. She looks a bit different now with different eyes and changes her wig frequently, but she still has her original faceup and she uses the body that came with the set. The other heads that came with the set are on their own CP girl bodies.

 

mine is my baby Hiro. his faceup was done by my friend EGLPirate. i love him to bits ♥♥♥

 

She is my girl based on Motoko Kusanagi (her name is Mutya Kuda) and she is an I-Doll Byul. I got her this year and I have been such a fan of the sculptor's works. I think the sculptor does an amazing job and their work really reminds me of Araki's early Unoss girls (whom I miss seeing regularly dearly).
