Which kind of "fantasy type" dolls do you want the most?

I have a thing for dragons, so the Fairyline Erda that came out at the beginning of the year is amazing. I'd love him to have a jointed tail so it was actually poseable, but his static tail is beautiful as it is and wow I love his legs and feet. So yes, more dragons. I appreciate Resin Soul's Sui, Zhen (love her face and ears!), and Pixiu, but their fantasy bits aren't quite my aesthetic.

Oh also, long elf ears. Like really long. Possibly even ones that can be repositioned to be up or down. Those would be super nice. Ah, maybe I can make a pair of removable ones...

 

I have a strong interest in naga and serpentine-snake dolls, like Sugarble used to and what Miracle Doll is currently doing. It's been really hard to find second-hand Sugarble Dolls though since they went under.

I really like resin snake hair....I like the combination of snake hair and tail, or mermaids with resin fin hairs

 

I'm for every type of fantasy creature out there! The only problem for me is style and scale - I'd love more fantasy sculpts that fit together with realistic minis, atm vampires and elves are all I can find, I do plan on getting both... I would likely want to get my grabby hands on all and any fantasy creature in that scale.

 

Fauns... Or demons or whatever the companies call the humanoids with hooves. And Centaurs. I like the idea of vampire dolls, but most vampire sculpts leave me cold. I dislike the fangs that stick out of the lips, they seem unrealistic to me, and sculpts with open mouths are not very versatile ime. Anyway, I'm in love with various hooved resinsoul dolls. I always believed fantasy sculpts would be out of my price range. Except for a few elf-eared dolls. Which I do appreciate, but don't have any yet.

 

I was keeping my cool with fantasy dolls until I see the new release of Dream Valley's Chaos. That just hit me right in the heart lol

 

I'd love to see more demons or tieflings. Also, not quite fantasy but I'd love to see more bat anthros.

I really love different fairies - both kind and evil, but most of all sly, so I look closely at the boy Bao by Resinsoul

 

I don't know if this exists, but I'd love a nine tailed fox BJD, either completely fox or humanoid. I'm starting a comic with characters that are modeled after chinese folklore specifically the nine tailed fox, so I'm kind of obsessed right now.

 

at risk of sounding basic, wings. especially jointed resin wings, like the ones on dollpamms seravie. I love the look of them and all the posing opportunities...

 

I really love fantasy sculpts in general, but I put a big emphasis on which ones are the most expressive! Which usually just means which ones are the most posable, but my DC Hathaway is an exception to my others, who all have extra fantasy parts or limbs haha

Yesss me too! Sculpted wings can look really really gorgeous, and they can totally change the whole move of a pose when they're jointed ^^

 

I've always been more of a werewolf girl than a vampire one so a larger scale werewolf or were-creature would be awesome. Can stand upright or on all-fours, articulated tail and jaw too. Also, a dragon and/or unicorn because who doesn't like dragons and unicorns, they are so majestic and beautiful.

 

I didn't know I wanted a werewolf doll like that till I read this. That sounds so awesome. And now I want one.

 

Oh man, I'm not a huge werewolf person but I'm in love with the idea of a doll with that range of articulation. I'd be taking a million photographs of something like that, in every pose I could think of

 

The photo ops would be awesome! Even just posing with other dolls would be wonderful.

I really want to add cellophane wings to a tiny elf doll to make a fairy! Thinking of buying Logan Dolls tiny pim for this idea

 

Now I'm cackling at the idea and want this even more.

 

I am really tempted by a centaur but at the same time the mechanics of it make me shudder at the thought of restringing.

 

I was wondering how hard it would be to string a horse body... I'm looking to get a horse/pegasus BJD in the future and the thought never crossed my mind until reading your comment.

 

I found a few torturals on youtube, and some makers of of centuar bjds have their own 'how to' instructions on restringing, but I am not sure if these can help with all types of centuar, or only that particular brand.

 

I'll check out some on my own and try to get a feel then to see if I can handle it. Probable good to see what's in store for my future. lol But I can't imagine it being too different between the brands.

 

A 70 cm scale, or at least SD, well-proportioned centaur. Doll Chateau has some but they're very stylistic, and the one Soul Doll made doesn't look right to me.

 

A centaur that size and not super-stylized would be amazing.

 

I love creatures of the night, all kinds of demonic-looking stuff. More demonic the better. Kitsunes, vampires, demons... fauns also.

 

I'd love to see more wolves and werewolves. I love anything with wings too.

 

I have a rather unhealthy attraction towards fantasy dolls in general. I already have a centaur, kitsune (fox), and I have a vampire that I'm currently waiting on... Still on the hunt for mermaid, more centaurs, etc. XD

I really want to see more dragon BJDs. A dragontaur would be pretty high on my list of desired dolls.

Same. Seen dolls with the two legs, or just the hands having claws... I really want is a full 4-legged dragon body!

I love soom centa ver. borol&Marl! I'm waiting for they release the new version of it, and hopefully they keep this deer like body.

 

I'd like to see more variety in elf ears, demons, harpies, etc. but at 70CM.

I'd also love to see something like dollzone's chuan at a larger, more realistic size (though I understand why that doesn't exist - holy moly it'd be so expensive and heavy)

I have 2 anthro dolls that I adore, but I'd like to get an Elf someday! It's a long ways off, but it's a goal of mine

I'd also love a really well-crafted SD-sized centaur, and SD-sized werewolf. I'm pretty picky, so the ones I fell in love with are either unavailable, or too small.

I would really love to see some more harpy or birdlike fantasy dolls! Extra points for intense clawlike talons Kind of like that special fantasy Fairyland Rens... oof, so beautiful. Maybe one day!

 

It might not be a harpy, but Doll Chateau's Nicola dolls are definitely an otherworldly doll with wings!

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a SD sized harpy. I've always wanted a Lilith.

I have a Doll Chateau Clemans which I really like and I’ve ordered a Cloverdolls Dragonling that I’m so looking forward to getting next year. I haven’t tried modifying any non-fantasy dolls yet but I might try sculpting some elf ears in the future.

 

I love Doll Chateau Julianne* and would probably buy her immediately if I saw her second hand. I also really love Onedat by Peachydaydreams and Ceryop by Apodoll, but I'm not holding my breath that I'll find either second hand unfortunately. Mini Bactro by Mewie Fish is another that I love, her proportions are so so cute!

Mostly I just love dolls that have humanoid shape but the least amount of human features possible, haha! Doll Chateau and Dream Valley are popular brands for me because of this

I would love a cyclops doll. I know they were kind of limited from one company, but I’d love to see them again.

 

I now have a Dream Valley Rosa with long elf ears and ball-jointed wings. Her wings are a little awkward (since their each about a foot long) but I absolutely love her. Resin Soul's willingness to do custom orders has me dreaming of a demon girl with dragon feet.

Love me some dislocated jaws, multiple rows of big gnarly teeth, horrible tongues (multiple), mouths in places they shouldn't be. There's just something so sexy about it.
Only second to that would be multiples of creepy eyes. The benefit of bjd is you can point them all in whichever directions you want. Wish I could have a doll with eyes all up and down their arms and legs and incorporate all the different eye sizes.

I been really wanting a mermaid doll lately with a possible tail! And this cool dragon bjd I saw!
Plus there are vampires, elves, fairies and so many Neko like dolls out there!

 

I’d like a couple vampires. I have ideas but have not focused on executing them yet since I will need custom made clothes.

 

I would love more mermaids own an Angell Studio one and I’m obsessed with buying more because they look so pretty.

 

I would love more taurs that have realistically-proportioned torso/legs. Except for a few I've been shown that are impossible to get these days, the centaurs I've seen have all had really skinny torsos and ridiculously long legs and as someone who loves horses I just...want something that looks normal xD I understand it's more fantasy/stylized the way they have them but still it looks silly in my eyes. This would apply to other types of taur as well.

 

I'm a sucker for elf ears. They just look so cute! Also I think it'd be cool to have a tiefling doll but I haven't seen one so far.

 

l want more l guess oddball stuff, like horror and freaky stuff

but l would love a fairy doll with creepy wings and stuff

 

I'm not much of a fantasy collector, as they tend to fit poorly in my doll-world of humans, but I did get one mermaid girl with elf ears and I just love that beautiful Angell Studio body. She's my one exception for the "no fantasy" rule. I also love a certain pastel purple hue of skintone, but so far there are not SD dolls that I want in that colour scheme, so it's not a realistic want for me. I have tried two vampires and gray skintone, but neither were for me.

I do have some horns and facial painting elements on my human dolls as decoration and accessories because I like it, but I still consider them human and view those elements as "cosplay".

 

i am a sucker for elves!! love them!! But i wish they made more varieties, like water like creatures, with fin ears, i know a few companies have done it, but id love to see more do it.

 

Not quite fantasy, but I've been dying for a 1/4 cyborg or android doll. Preferably with all those like neat, clean lines, "shiny future" aesthetic, though I'll take some more grunge. Just not interested in clockwork-y ones. Ji-Zero was very cool to see when she came out, but I don't have space for that wingspan, and the shape of the cyborg head wasn't my fave. Maybe someday!

For more outright fantasy, I'm loving the orc gals I've been seeing crop up. And I'm always a sucker for fantasy colors, especially pastels.

 

I LOVE Demons. Or any horned doll tbh. I think it would be cool to see a company like Doll Chateau to make dolls based off Goetic Demons as they look pretty funky and I would love to see them in doll form. I also want to see more Naga, or snake/human dolls. Mostly cause I want to shell an OC of mine so terribly bad. Also give me dolls based on some lesser know DnD races. We have so many elves and centaurs and Satyrs/fauns. Give me Firbolgs, Lionins, Tabaxi, Kenkus, Etc.

 

Literally any fantasy dolls! Theyre my perferred area of resin bjds! Even the fairly “normal” looking dolls i like are still very stylized and have that fantasy-esque feel

 

Any fantasy horror themed dolls are really cool to me. Whether grotesque or cute, they're so much fun to look at. There are so many pretty dolls, but you can always tell how much fun went into creating something totally weird.

My favorites are vampire teeth with big elf ears, I don't know why. I just love the look of them together.

I would love to see more ghost themed dolls though, maybe with some clear resin.
