What Type of Doll Owner Are You?

I'm a story telling doll daddy photographer butterfly collector? XD
So many of my dolls are characters of mine, I love them all too bits, and enjoy taking photos of them and talking for hours about them, and going to doll meets, etc, who happens to have a small army of dolls/minions to do my evil bidding. So yeah Is there a mix of above option? lol

 

Definetly a storyteller, but also kinda a... set builder, i guess? making little rooms and furniture for my dolls is a big part of the hobby for me =^w^= I like giving my dolls their own space to 'live'!

 

I'd say I am a mixture of doll collector, artist, and photographer. I'm not professional by any means. I play with my dolls. I like to dress them, change their hair, and just generally have them around me. I also like to do my own blushing. I want to attempt my first face up on a bjd, but I'm still trying to work up the courage. I'll get there eventually. Lastly my photos aren't anything special, but I enjoy posing them for pictures and such.

 

I play with them, make them dioramas and pose them, take them with me and stuff. I have 30 plus dolls.

I am definitely a storyteller doll owner! I also see them as friends. They have personalities/characters and I want to take them with me wherever I can! Photoshoot's are super fun! Even just looking at them...holding their little resin hands...it brings a comforting energy to me. I am a collector type as well for sure. Not in the last year or so because I can't afford it anymore, but I LOVE getting new dolls and doll items! Its such a thrill and rush of warmth each time. I am sure to some, this all sounds a bit crazy, but when you have been housebound for several years, and your only friends are resin? You become quite attached haha.

 

The planner lol. Im currently agonizing over my current layaways. An event popped up that I want to participate in RIGHT after I committed to a layaway that took me months to decide on. I only want to be on two layaways at a time, and be half way through one before I decide on another, so this is driving me nuts, but the item I want is time limited. I'll probably end up giving in.

 

Probably a hellish combination of "doll mommy" and "doll admirer..." As in, I'll love mine so much that I will only touch with cotton gloves, use some sort of veil for her while I'm gone so she won't be exposed to too much light, and smack away anyone trying to touch. But not out of just wanting to look---just out of being overprotective.

 

I'm definitely the "The Doll Favoritist", I only collect on one hand tinies under 20cm that fit by scale in 1/12 scale dollhouses and on the other hand 1/3 scale dolls solely by DLace and NakanaWorkshop XD (though that might expand, since I've recently discovered that nice smiling head by Supia...)

 

Storyteller, sometimes I write their stories.

 

im kind of a mix of planner, storyteller, favoritist and artist. planner if i have a really clear concept in my head so i know what i need to get, storyteller because i come up with their bgs and characters, artist because i draw them and i WILL do their faceups eventually and favoritist because for the most part i only collect 1/4th dolls...and somehow i've mostly ended up with slim minis, specifically minifees.

 

I’m the doll collector and doll mommy. I love mostly under 20 cm tiny kids but have a few yosd to wrangle them all, it’s a bit like Neverland I guess!

 

I'm definitely the doll storyteller. I got into this hobby when I was twelve years old because I stumbled across a blog where a woman made photo stories with her bjd's. I loved the idea of having a physical manifestation of your character.

 

I just think they're neat

I like the idea of taking them out for a photoshoot, but my phone camera really doesn't do them justice.

 

I have to say I am the doll photographer and storyteller type. Every doll has a character and I like to take cool and cold photos of them. I want to share the world about them in my head with the world I am a part of. I'm not very delicate with them - every scratch tells a story - but I treat them fairly enough to avoid damage, especially to their faces. I will likely eventually be a chaotic doll owner. I have a small collection but in my head are plans for a great one with an immersive story and photos. I can't see a doll and not imagine what kind of world they live in.

 

I used to just display my dolls. Monster High and Barbie are big ones. Now I've started using my Barbies for stop-motion animation. That's what kind of doll owner I am.
