What mythological character would you like to see as a doll?

Check down in the painting/modding thread. Someone there has a FABULOUS Anubis.

I kind of want to try a Quetzalcoatl getup when my doll gets here and when I get bored....

 

a gryphon or hippogryph doll would be my absolute dream come true or maybe not considered a mythological creature, but a scarecrow doll! I swear if I see one of those usual halloween-esque scarecrows like skullkid from link or Scarecrow from folklore as a doll I'd totally faint. c:

 

I'd like to see a Naga, with a looooooong jointed tail. o.o Or a valkyrie. Specifically, Lenneth from Valkyrie Profile would be flippin' sweet, armor, wings, and all.

 

Woooah, mythological characters? Everything from the Norse mythology, especially the "bad" part. Loke would have been so awesome. So would Hel and Fenris

Egyptian gods would be neat. You could buy the doll with an animal head and a human head. I know hey have centaurs, but they seem pretty rare. I agree with others that a wolf boy would be good, but a solidly built one.

Agreed on a naga with a jointed tail! I was going to add a centaur, but Soom has that covered with Epidos, Minette, and Pyrol.

I think harpies would look good in doll-form as well! Wings, talons, and all that good stuff.

 

I want a Kali doll... with the blue skin and six arms.

I'd love to see a fully pose-able naga BJD, and I'd definitely wouldn't mind more animal-headed dolls, like cats, wolves, horses, etc. in bigger sizes.

I think i'm just repeating what others have said,
Naga, Kali (with blue resin of course!), and Werewolves.
And i really wish some one/company would make Garuda (complete with his wings made of resin too).

I would love to see more Centaur's or a Werewolf Seen so so so so many vampires. Only a few wolf like ones. I'm talking more werewolf only seen one. and Dragons

 

I would love to see a doll of my favorite Greek goddess Nyx, the personification of night ^_^ I also think it'd be awesome to see some dolls designed after some of the clow cards from cardcaptor sakura XD I always loved the design of those cards and the characters associated with them ^_^;;

 

...A Naga. I'm a hardcore snake fan, and having a Naga would totally make my day. A jointed body with proper proportions.. an SD one that could stay up on his own... I'd be in total heaven.

 

Any assortment of Sidhe or fae folk from Holly Black's books.

 

A centaur would be awesome! Dragon-like dolls would be very interesting to see as well.
Maybe some designed after some insects? Like butterflies, ladybugs, moths... ants? Maybe even a stag beetle? The possibilities are endless! Haha.

I think this idea would be good for mermaids/men as well.

 

I'd love an Hecate doll , and her nordic counterpart, Hel (actually planning one of both). Some anime or videogame characters would be nice too.

I'd also like to see fairy dolls, Tinkerbell style, but in scale to other dolls. Would be nice to have them as a Christmas event or something like that... And some variety of wings and horns...

 

I think horoscope themed bjds would be pretty cool.

 

I'm more drawn to elves and mer-people for fantasy characters, so I'd like to see more of those around. And when it comes to the elves I don't how mean some look, I'd like to have a happy/"sensual"? kind of elf.

I second minotaurs, and nagas. A naga body would be so interesting. Also, more dragon based dolls. With horns, and claws and tails. And just wings in general. You can't get enough of those. xD The centaurs I've been seeing are really cool.

I'm more partial to monsters so WEREWOLVES!! My girls are anthros but if they had dolls with wolf heads and tails I would probably die. I also love to see a full skeletal bjd that would be so cool. As for "mythical" I think a dragon would be pretty great and maybe a centaur?

 

I would like to see more Satyrs, mermaids/sirens, some egyptian god ones would be cool

 

I'd love to see a "pick your own adventure" sort of doll line. Where you get a basic choice of different torso types (say 3 different males/3 different females) Then you get to choose a head, and a lower body (great for making inter-sexed dolls or mermaids/centaurs, etc.) ears, tail, hands, feet, horns, hooves.. You know a build your own fantasy Character! Some day when I open my Doll Studio to the public I'd like to offer these options

 

I would like to see more "elemental" characters. In this I like the customizable ears and accessories so I can do my own thing. But in general I'd like to see Druid-like characters.

 

Nagas, tauren/minotaur, and harpies. I really wish a company would offer different msd legs, like dragon, bird, snake, and I don't know, tentacles? I don't know, I'd kill for an Ursula doll though :/

And a Kirin/centaur thing, or a girl/deer centaur. The Soom centaur was okay, but it was just a guy and frikken huge (it was a 60cm right?), I like the smaller sized dolls, but the soom tiny centaurs were... a bit of a let down. I hated their proportions. I want a 1/4th sized girl and boy centaur.

So many cool ideas here- I'd like to see some dolls with a Celtic mythology twist or maybe something from the Arthurian legends- Morgan Le Fay, for example.

 

I'd love a sphnyx or harpie girl.

her fae are epic and need to be dolls, and any of Melissa Marr's fae, or any from traditional folk lore
I would also love to see some more elves maybe with interchangeable ears to give them different looks. I know sometimes I like the longer ears, sometimes I just want a tiny point, or maybe they point downward instead of up, or straight out...

I agree with all of this! Nagas are so cool and it wouldn't be too hard to make since mermaids are already in production. Dragons are always so awesome, claws, tail and the works!

 

Some kind of angel, but with REALLY beautiful wings :3 and i don't know... maybe an angel-devil mix doll that would be very nice... But maybe kinda expensive lol.

I know it's been done, but I like centaurs. I would love to see another yo-SD sized centaur, but with horsey parts actually in proportion to the human half!!! The ones from SOOM were so cute, but so poorly proportioned, especially considering the price!

I love seeing any and all mythological creatures! The recent gargoyles at Souldoll were cool too!

 

I think it'd be cool to do like, some of the Greek Gods, like Athena, Aphrodite, Zeus, Hades, maybe even have them like from the Disney Cartoon series/film Hercules, like with Aphrodite having pink skin and blond hair, Athena being blue, Hades being grey (though the only problem with doing gods, or something from religion, is that you run the risk of offending people. Even if you named the doll coz you liked the name.)
I'd also like to see some vampires, like Mircea, from Touch The Dark (can't remember the author off hand), or The guy from Cirque De Freak, the ginger vampire

If you managed to do the Minotaur, from Greek legend would be awesome.
Also, -hides behind massive brick wall- (i don't know how it would be done) but if you managed to do something like the "sparkly skin" from twilight, because i think that'd be amazing to photograph in the light. (dun flame me for that!)
Also, the Troll Queen from North Child would be cool too, with the rough white skin and odd eyes and dark hair

As a side note, @Novae + KiwiNinamori Kihaku has a very Naga like doll, with extra arms, and a proper snake-like bottom torso. it looks amazing

A Bastet doll might be cool. She's an Egyptian cat god.

 

I also vote for harpy and sphinx, also maybe Icarus in flight with a body like the newly redesigned Soom male and articulated wings? Since they were artificial wings they might look as if they were odd and steampunk-y, sort of, or at least 'look' like constructs. Would require a huge display space, but worth it I know someone recently mentioned a multi-armed goddess doll, does anyone have the link handy please?

I could go the the naga too. I loved to see a harpy, but i'm a little strange. The sphynx also a cool idea. I could go for some elemental types genies too.
