What mythological character would you like to see as a doll?

I think it would be cool to see a BJD set of the greek gods. Zeus, Hades, etc. etc.
They would be neat :]

I think the centaur dolls are amazing. Especially the hand-crafted ones you can find in the galleries.

Are there really Ed Elric BJDs, with automail? That's so cool xD

 

I cant help but think a Hydra or Cerberus themed doll would be cool. I'm not sure how someone could pull something like that off, but if they did it would be cool. I would also like to see a Siren or Valkyrie.

 

I'd like some handsome and beautiful greek gods and goddesses >3 Like...fair skinned, perfectly scultped beauties....heh heh. for the gods!


I think...an anthro pheonix would be kind of cool ^^;; Not sure how...but it sounds pretty sweet.

What else...I'd love to see a Kasa Obake monster ^w^;; maybe..a kasa obake girl? XD

 

I'd like to see a company make a centaur dollie... I LOVE the centaur dolls that the DoA artists have made so far.

I second the Greek gods bjd set idea. Dionysus is my favourite. Long black curls, a panther skin and maybe some optional crazed maenad girls to do his bidding!!! Also would love to see the Norse Gods represented. I think a Freya doll would be incredible and maybe we would finally see a big buff hairy guy for Thor or perhaps just an unhumanly beautiful blonde guy with a big hammer.

I agree - on ALL of the Soom threads people talk about splitting the dolls, which seems a waste to me.

It would just be like getting an extra pair of hands or feet - surely it shouldn't be that hard to sell?

 

A dragon type doll. I love dragon horns and wings.
Also, I would love to see dog breed dolls, like the German Shepherd, hence, I own two.

 

I'm obsessed with Egyptian mythology. My favorite god is Anubis. I saw Euclase a few days ago, and fell in love--get rid of the ears and the claw feet, and he's exactly what I pictured. I can't afford him though. He's my first offical "The one that got away." There were some tears shed. Thankfully my roommate is also a collector who had the same problem with Io a couple of months ago, so we toasted oreos and commiserated and tried to come up with ways to make money.

Maybe in the future I'll find a good Isis, or maybe a Hecate. Ooh, oh! Hermes. I love Hermes.

Suzaku (red bird/phoenix), Seiryu (blue dragon), Genbu (black turtle), Byakko (white tiger/Kirin) with some sort of animal + human parts you can exchange or maybe a small resin animal to go with the doll.

I'm very much tempted to make my own, lol.

 

A phoenix or a nine tailed fox. But the best thing in the world would be seeing any mythological creature with a tiny version of its self in its lap. Just picture Zeus all intimidating with his thunder and cradled in his arms in a sassy chibi version of himself x3!!

I second the sphinx! *glances at user name* Um, rather unsurprisingly. I would wade through a lake of fish guts for a sphinx BJD. Some day I shall have money, though, and fish-gut-wading will be rendered unnecessary!

Specifically, I should add, the Greek sphinx, with the head and torso of a woman, the legs and tail of a lion and the wings of an eagle (or something else equally wing-y).

 

I would love a female satyr, or a female centaur. Especially the centaur! Someday I hope to make one, but I'm not nearly good enough at sculpting yet >.<;

A centaur would be super cool. x3 I think I would like to see the Greek goddess Artemis as a doll though. Having her frolic around with a miniature bow and arrow would be sweet. Yay to greek mythology!

I'm surprised there haven't been more dragons - or rather, I just want more dragon-ears/demon-ears/bat-wing-ears with the webbing, as opposed to the pointy elf ears that are already pretty common.

Also; seraphim with SIX wings plz? I prefer that the wings be part of the costume or magnetically attached, and also made of a lighter material so as not to unbalance the doll.

 

I think I'd go bankrupt if one of the companies I like (preferably Soom XD!!) made a wolf-themed doll like... say... Fenrir in human form? I'm actually praying they never do that any time soon. I can't afford to buy another doll, but if it's wolf themed, I must have it o___O

Although, the one doll I'd really love would be a human version of Fenrir's son, Hati And... maybe Mani the moon god from Norse mythology as well.... *is a sucker for Norse Mythology*

I'd like to see Krishna. Gray resin, delicate features, special outfit and long arms!

 

When I saw the title Medusa came to mind. She could have ball jointed snakes on maybe an optional headcap. It would be something fun to see if nothing else though not sure how many would want her (it might be cute though)

Aside from that I would die for a ball joint Unicorn or Pegasus. It would be nice if it had semi decent anatomy too if possible and not anthropomorphic. I love the little anthros to death but how fun would a fully jointed four legged beast be?

 

Ohhhh man, I would love to see some centaur BJDs (if there aren't already any)! And-and a BJD version of the faun from El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) would be amazing to see! I also think kitsune, phoenixes, and dragons would make very beautiful/interesting BJDs... Whee, so many mythological creatures, so little time!

 

domadoll has centaurs... and Souldoll has an SD sized centaur. I'd really like to see a female centaur though >.<

I really want to see a Snake BJD ^_^ with a jointed tail, that could sit upright on the tail without support.

Also a Phoenix inspired doll, and I would love to see maybe an "anthrotaur" are they called? with the upper human body and the lower body of a four-legged animal, or even like a Griffin lower body.

 

I would like to see a Japanese/Korean/Chinese dragonXD Huge, long and awesomeXD It would be also cool if it somehow could wear clothes/wigs, etc.-- humanish dragon? D: No much fun, if they all would look alike... but how much fun with painting its body

I would love to see a phoenix or a Dragon. I think it would be interesting to see the take on that. Since these dolls are supposed to be human like, I'd like to see them half-and-half. Half Human, half dragon or phoenix. It'd be interesting. Since they've done the scorpion lady and the succubus. What's stopping a company from making these two? :3

 

OMG!!! I really want to see ANUBIS!!! I love egyptian mythology so if I could see all zoomorphic gods it would be the gratest thing ever!!

 

I would love to see Shiva (multiple arms ftw), Kali (blarg scary as hell), or maybe some other male gods, such as Apollo, Hermes, a sexier Zeus and Poseidon and a sexy gothy Hades. I mean, wouldn't it be neat to see a buff blue-skin male with some fin-like ears?

Some people are mentioning animal myths....Pegasus boy? Like, with fluffy white hair and wings? Or unicorn?

A two-doll set of Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl would be so cute. Coaltlicue is almost like Kali, except she has a snake head. She is a scary as hell goddess too, and maybe if a doll has green skin or something, and give it a fierce look...wow.

I'm going to third that motion. My Bob's character is modeled quite a bit after Persephone, and I hope that when I get my first boy I'll be theming him after Hades...

But if one of the BJD companies decided to make a series of Greek Gods and Goddesses? Oh lord. I'd be there's forever.

For me, I would definetely love to see dolls of the Greek Gods and Goddesses! Greek mythology has always been so fascinating to me!

All my dolls are mythological figures. I'm making Loki, his wife Sigyn, and Athena. I'm pagan and worship them so I figured why not make then into dolls?

 

I think some sort of Cyclops doll would be quite interesting or similarly a doll with 3 eyes?

I know this is probably a common answer, but unicorn! Most unicorn dolls I see are tinies, or just really small. I want a cute MSD unicorn boy! The tinies tend to have small horns, and I want one that's a little bigger~ An attachable tail would be great too!

Actually I have a BBB Luna head I am going to see if my hubby can make into a Bast. He's a professional artist and I intend to turn him loose with some Apoxie Sculpt and see what happens.

Oo, there are just so many to name but one that I would wish for is Anubis, like a few people have said already. I'd also like to see Athena (my fave greek godess) complete with owl.

I LOVE elfs ears, faerie ears, horns, hoofs, and unicorns. I wish there were alot more doll makers out there with these besides Soom. A doll you could interchange the leg parts to hoofs and add horns, unicorns and so on. I am up for anything mythical

 

I want to see a BJD Dryad. Who doesn't like an oak tree spirit now and again!? All tree-hugging and magical.

 

I've actually been thinking of making up my DZ Fox as a baby Anubis. Not sure how well it will turn out.. but it's worth a shot his name is already another name for Anubis (Inpu... so cute! )

 

That would be awesome. It would definitely fit in with my twisted fairytale that I'm working on.
