    2. Aah, what a wonderful Thread! I'm in Heaven <3
As for me, I'm currently busy with a small present for two boys from Germany (Luts KDF and MiniFee).
These roller skates are still in progress, but I'm trying my best.

    3. I'm very interested to see how these turn out!

    4. What a wonderful thread, so many great works!

I do mostly wirework jewelry, like this:

    5. Ira is there anything you can't make? That wirework crown is so perfect that in the first picture I thought you had made it from commercial jewelry findings.

    6. Wow! These are incredibly intricate and so beautiful!

    7. Victoria Victrix, thank you very much! I strongly hope there's no BJD-related activity left untried))
The crown still has some tiny imperfections that show its handiwork nature, but I'm glad that the overall impression is professional :D

      urbanizer, thank you!

    8. I style my girl Dharma (Iplehouse JID Benny) as an Indian princess. So I try to design her jewelry too. I've only made her a few pieces so far.

    10. The most recent jewelry I've been working on is some multi strand pearl necklaces for my girls with magnetic clasps

    11. So many wonderful projects, very artistic! *__*

    12. I recently did a necklace in SD+ size.

      And in YoSD size.

    13. So many beautiful creations here *___*
      Plus, that wirework is incredible!

Showing you some things I'm currently working on (mostly for my shop, but also for my friends) : pictured with my MH Lagoona, but in fact it's for MSD dolls.

    14. Those look great, Lorelei!

Lets keep this thread alive and going, people. What else have you made for your dolls lately? I have been on a dolly vacation for a while now, but I'm hoping to get back into crafting for them very soon.

    15. Too proud not to show this off... I've just started making jewelry, and this is my first all beaded piece. :)

Question: I used a beading line, similar to fishing line... I saw a lot of people use a beading thread, and it seems to create better movement for things like this... where does one buy it?

    16. I believe you might be talking about Nymo. It's available from most stores that sell seed beads.

I get mine from Fire Mountain.

      www.firemountaingems.com

      It comes in several thicknesses.

    17. Thanks!

How do you know what size to get?

    18. Are you thinking that maybe it was Fireline that you are wanting? It is also available at Fire Mountain Gems.

    19. I've seen the name Fireline! But I'm not sure what I want... haha.^^;; I'm seriously green at this.

    20. Fireline is the same as the fishing line you've been using; it's a clear, tough plastic. Nymo is actual nylon thread. Some people also use silk thread for very delicate work, but silk thread is more fragile and the beads can cut it easier than Nymo.

Also, to answer "what size," you would be safe with 0 or 00. 00 is thinner than 0, 0 should be able to go through a bead in at least three passes.

    21. I was looking for Nymo then. I have beading line, similar to fishing line, but I don't like the way it moves. :) Thanks for your help!

    22. I find Fireline/beading line useful for things that I want to be a bit stiff, or things that are going to get flexed a lot. For everything else, I use Nymo, which gives the finished product a nice, fabric-like flexibility.

    23. I've been making little necklaces for my boy.

I've also been plotting turning some earrings(I have a ton I NEVER wear) into some sort of broach like pins for him, but I'm not sure on how to do that. Experimenting ahead, unless anyone has some helpful suggestions.

    24. I currently make intricate wire wrapped jewelry and sell them on my Etsy shop, but I was thinking about attempting to make a mini version that at the very least, an SD sized doll could wear. I'm not sure if there is any interest in that kind of jewelry in the bjd community for their dolls, though. What do you guys think?

    25. I think that unfortunately I have seen a great deal of intricate wire-wrapped jewelry for dolls. By all means do some for your own, but you ought to research the marketplace first before you think about offering yours for sale.

    26. That doesn't seem unfortunate at all! That's great, actually. I look forward to making some in my own style. Thanks for responding and giving me some perspective. ^_^

    27. Remember when you do wirewrapped jewelry for dolls it is even more imperative not to leave any sharp ends or edges that can scratch the resin. You have to be exceptionally vigilant about it.

    28. Make jewelry for your own dolls, post photos of the results, and then let the jewelry do the talking for you. My last activity was about 300 plastic rings cut with a high definition laser. I wonder if anyone got one of those at the 10th anniversary in Buffalo, NY.

    29. I haven't made anything yet, but I WANT to make two sets of bear ears for my MSDs. I haven't really crafted much, and I'm not exactly sure how to go about making them since I want the ears to be realistic to some degree. . . another problem I'm facing is how would I attach it to the wig? sewing? magnets? maybe I could sew little pockets for the magnets inside the wig, so they wouldn't scratch the head. . .

      any suggestions?

    30. Sculpey or Fimo, then use the same flocking that railroad and modelers use to make "grass", and "upholstery". It comes in lots of colors, just search for "model flocking". Make the ears with Fimo or Sculpy in the color you want the INSIDE of the ears to be, bake magnets into the base. When they are done, paint the part you want fuzzy with white glue then apply the flocking to them by sprinkling or dipping. Flocking is basically just a bag of loose fuzz. Once they are dry, shake or blow off the loose flocking, then use opposite magnets inside the wig to hold them on.

      This stuff:

    31. that's actually a really awesome idea! If I can find a day off to try it, I might. I'm not so sure about the flocking, though, since I can't stand the texture, but I'm sure I could use a thin piece of faux fur to achieve a similar effect. I did kind of want the wig to blend into the ears, anyway.

Can you tell me more about sculpey, or maybe give me some links?

    32. Sculpey.com Their company site which includes tutorials.
If you go for fur, use very thin fur of the kind used for making miniature teddy bears, which you can find on etsy. The bulky heavy stuff you get at a craft store will be way too thick.

    33. oh, thank you so much! I didn't even know miniature teddy fur was a thing, haha~ I'm really excited now!

    34. Wow, this thread is amazing! I'm so happy I found it! I've been curious about making doll jewelry for quite some time now, and more and more lately I'm ready to just dive right in!

Still, I really like to do as much research as possible before I begin something like this so I don't wind up wasting a ton of time and money. I'll be reading through this entire thread and picking up as much info as I possibly can, but if anyone would like to share any tips for an absolute beginner, please don't hesitate to share :)

    35. I've been making a bunch of pendants with deco sweets.
Although looking through this thread has given me lots of ideas for other things I'd like to try.

    36. Finally, I also did jewelry in bjd size (SD) :)

    37. Hello! I saw there are so many beautiful works and wanted to share my.

    38. I've got leftover chain, and a BIG mateless earring about 2 in long that would probably make a good pendant for an SD sized doll--if I knew how long to make the chain. ^^;

    40. I now hate you forever, ira_scargeear. You are too talented to exist. (That's a joke by the way. I don't hate you, I admire you as much as I admire M_BLilac.)

    41. No you're not!

Just keep making more fantastic things!

    42. Wow, a pair of these is definitely on my wishlist now, for the life of me I cannot find a pair of glasses that fits my doctor guy :o Stunning work!

I have lots and lots of findings and little cute charms (mostly itty bitty crosses and hearts and stuff) from a long-ago project that I'm going to use to make some inexpensive BJD jewelry for Etsy when I have someone to model them, and I'm trying to source some tiny vintage charms to make one-off jewelry from as well :D

I love this thread. I'll take one of everything.

    43. I've been really inspired by a fellow hobbyists bracelet work and wanted to give it a try myself. I'm only just getting the very simple basics of knot work down, along with adjusting the lengths.

Next I'll be trying some beading.

    44. Don't know if these count :sweat some embroidery works of beads and metal threads(camera broken recently, photo shot by my poor iphone TVT [IMG]

    45. :o If those don't count I don't know what does!

I made a hat for my spooky unfinished clown dude, Bubbles, who sports the Communal Wig:

    46. Wow, I didn't realize how many different accessories there are!! This has given me so much inspiration

    47. I'm working on some head dresses for my girls. I've done several human sized ones and never even thought about doing them for dolls until a couple of weeks ago. I also have plans to do some jewelry but I want to finish the 3 head dresses first.

    48. Wow! Props to you for beading at such a tiny scale.

    49. so lovely

    50. I also did jewelry in SD size :)

    51. This past march I had a table at the NERDS doll show, and I sold a variety of leather and hemp collars and bracers. I'll have to upload pics of them at some point. Some sold, but I still have a baggie of the ones that didn't.
And lately I've been working with and cut metal and epoxy resin to make vulture culture pendants (bones, etc). I have some planned for dolls to wear, and others that are more people-scale.

    52. I will share some more jewelry for dolls :aangel:

    53. Oh @Shelen, I would really love the pattern/instructions for that collar if you can share.

    54. Unfortunately I didn't draw a diagram. Weave beaded for people, for dolls wove the picture of human jewelry, approximately representing the course of the needle. I hope clearly explained, my English is terrible even with a translator. Sorry.
Will show you another necklace, woven according to the scheme "for the people".
