I went to a hobby store and brought some materials to make accessories... I'll post photos soon. I'm excited ❤️
wow so many pretty (and tiny) pieces! I'm a bit afraid of loosing all those small perls once I'll start making jewelery for my dolls, but I found very nice ones in the dollar store. (Once I figure out how to post pictures I want to show them to you)
Hi! I've been taking a lot of pictures lately, so I'll bring some bead work) Spoiler: +2 Thank you for listening
Hello everyone! Sorry to raise this thread from the dead, but I am having issues with my jewelry making. I just adore making things, but I cannot for the life of me get my crimp beads to actually hold. everything I mean everything I have tried to make with them comes undone the second I try to take the piece off the doll. What am I doing wrong here?
Do you have bead crimping pliers? I have tried using other pliers but the bead crimping ones give the best result for squishing the end crimp beads and stopping everything from falling apart. The little crimp beads look really good as beads in tiny jewellery. Hope this helps.
I do. The crimp beads i have say to squish them with your fingers but i can only get them with my pliers. I even put as much preasure as i can on them. They seem fine at first and i can put the piece on a doll, but the second i take it of the string slips out and beads go everywhere.
I don't know if this will help but it's the method I use and she shows it really clearly on you tube let me know if it helps
Whoa thats way different than the pliers i have. Mine just squish it flat and call it good. Ill see about getting a pair of those special pliers and see if it works better. Thank you so much for the help! EDIT: Do you think these pliers would be ok?Pliers, crimp, steel and plastic, black and green, 5-1/4 inches. Sold individually.
