Wow this thread is a treasure trove of inspiration! I can't believe some of the detail work being done here. Excuse me as I ogle
Oh, thx. I rarely watch this forum, but glad that my work like To show you one of my work controversial, but beautiful.. I hope she will like it Эрика by Shelenessa Ghash, on Flickr
I love the use of chain on headdresses! Is there a certain size or trick to working with chain for dolls? I make necklaces, but I feel I need all different sized materials. Is there a size for msd and sd?
Sorry, not quite understand what You want to ask.. Weaving - circular loops, the second row woven droplets.. Again, sorry, I write through a translator and read too.. My English is very bad.. In fact, the promo is better than the reality..
The scheme is not quite the same, it has 4 beads in the circle. In my netting 7 beads. And weave not only a circle, but the loops for the сentral beads. UPD. Don't know whether it is possible to lay out here.. But the diagram looks like this. Paragraph 1. Spoiler: image
Woo! I like this thread! I make headpieces and am currently working on...5 or so at the moment. They're all in various levels of progression. Here are two
Ahhh.. Everyone is so crafty. It's beautiful. My project for my doll is to make a simple necklace. I was cleaning and found an old skull charm from something and I'll think I'll go bug my husband (who makes jewelry as a hobby) to help me make something. I wanna be fancy too!
All your pieces are so beautiful! I want to make some jewelry for my own dolls, but I don't know what length to go for. Do any of you make adjustable necklaces? I would love to see your techniques! I wanted to copy the human one with the lobster clasp, but I need to find one small enough first.
I often use a short eye pin that I bend into the shape of a hook and attach that to one end of a necklace chain. Then the hook can be inserted into any link in the chain to change the length. Some of my necklaces also double as belly chains. (Sorry I couldn't provide a pic - having issues with my computer)
@Shelen , your jewelry is exquisite. May I ask where you got such tiny beads? I've been looking, but all I can find are human sized.
Мy beads - Miyuki 15\0. 15\0 it is size, beads from Japan, expensive and high-quality. You can use Charlotte 15\0 beads, but it is even more expensive and very rare. Thank you for your interest in my work!
Charlotte 15/0 are expensive overseas, not so much in the US. 15/0 Czech Charlotte Cut Seed Beads | Garden Of Beadin' BeadFX - Beads Czech Seedbeads 15/0 Charlottes Baker Bay Bead Co - 15/0 Hex Cut Beads Page 1
Now I have some free time and I weave more accessories) Trying new schemes Thank you for your interest in my work, It is very inspiring!
I hope you don't get hurt when you bend them! Also, you should post some pictures when you get the chance!
Hello! I decided a little distracted from the beads and make a wreath. I liked to make flowers, be sure to do some more I hope, the result will like)) Эрика by Shelenessa Ghash, on Flickr
Hello! Thank you for your interest in my work I wove without a specific scheme. Unfortunately, the necklace has already been sold, and only through the photo can you determine the course of the thread. At the core of the weaving is a classical eight on two needles .. And now I'm making flower wreaths for dolls Венок №2 by Shelenessa Ghash, on Flickr
Blown away by all the intricate beadwork and elaborate headdresses and things! It's all really inspiring.
Yes!) I have long wanted to try and here is the result Венок №2 by Shelenessa Ghash, on Flickr Spoiler: +2 Венок №2 "Espliego" by Shelenessa Ghash, on Flickr Венок №2 "Espliego" by Shelenessa Ghash, on Flickr Thank you for attention!

My post is late, but I like the whole image here. I like the combination of the sweet, young look of this bjd, the simplicity of the necklace and how the color of the dress works with the necklace. Nice!
@Shelen that crown is so pretty on your girl. Did you sculpt all of those beautiful flowers? WOW!! My eyes nearly popped out of my head! That second picture is just...I’m speechless
Thanks! Thank you for your interest in my work! Flowers are made of plastic suede (foam\fom) and the process is cutting, heating and shaping. No sculpt. I love these flowers And I love to take pictures many flowers together. Many many flowers!
I couldn't find the style of glasses I needed so I decided to make my own. They were supposed to be for an SD sized doll, but turned out so small my MSD Evaan claimed them immediately! 20180327_180830 by Under Orange, on Flickr 20180327_180849 by Under Orange, on Flickr I think for round 2 I need to make the lenses thicker somehow (I might have to find a new material to use) as it sits they're very wobbly because all they are is 4 layers of clear packing tape, lol. They got foggier the more layers I added though... I think I'll need to experiment some more.
@Samsally What about thin plastic from disposable containers? If you were very careful you could maybe heat it with a hairdryer or similar and shape it around something to get a curve...
Ooh, good idea! I'll have to raid the fridge for something to use. (of course i just threw away a clear bottle yesterday, lol) I don't have a drill bit small enough, so hopefully a needle and pliers will be enough to pinch a hole through.
I was going to suggest punch pliers, but their smallest hole will probably still be too big ... MyFroggyStuff has a glasses tutorial too, but they make framed ones.
Oh man I didn't even think to look up existing tutorials first, LOL. Of course MyFroggyStuff has an amazing tutorial; I'm constantly amazed by the cool things they make. I wanted the frameless ones to look like my own glasses, but my next pair is probably going to be a half frame, so I might end up going with the tutorial version for that because my method definitely wouldn't work, heh.
I would think a sharp needle would pierce plastic adequately - might take a bit of wriggling, like using a very tiny awl, but you'd get there.
Hold a darning needle in a pair of pliers. Hold the needle tip in a flame, like a candle. When you think the needle is hot enough, make your hole. The needle will melt its way right through.
Also, holding the needle tip on a hot electric stove element will do the job. (Candles are banned in my place!) Tiny drill bits are available, if you need them on a regular basis.
Recently made a pearl and Swarovski montee choker and bracelet Have in mind making a pair of matching earrings as well, to complete the set, and a small jewellery box to store it all in when not in use.
I bought some gems for my BJD and planning to do choker for him! 20190313_1 by YUI T, on Flickr 20190313_2 by YUI T, on Flickr Here is the choker I did for testing before 20190312_1 by YUI T, on Flickr 20190312_2 by YUI T, on Flickr 20190312_2 by YUI T, on Flickr
A friend and I bought some costume necklaces that were on clearance, and took them down for parts. My friend wanted the anodized metal flowers; those had snap-set paste gem centers, which were only connected by a bit of elastic thread. If they don't want all the snap-sets, I'll work them into my new boy K's dance jewelry. The real prize from the necklaces was ~80 discs with filigree-like patterns cut into them. They're the size of a biggish sequin and have loops for easy attachment. I'll be making K some armor out of them. So far, all I've done is take apart and count up, but I'm so excited to be starting this project.
