Either "my dolls" or sometimes the "members of my green room". The 2nd being kind of a bit of an inside joke with friends, which I will explain here. Ok so a "green room" is commonly a room back stage at a theater, that functions as a waiting room and lounge for performers, before during and after a performance or show when they are not engaged on stage. Now then a lot of my dolls are based on my RPG characters I've made over the years, and before I had BJDs I use to joke when not gaming my PCs all hung out in my "green room" back stage. So of course when I started making dolls of my PCs I had to make jokes about the bed room I keep them in being my green room. So there ya go, they are "my dolls" or part of the "green room".
When talking to them I just call them "Guys," if I'm talking to other people about them I sometimes say "my dolls," "my whole gang," or "all those little dudes" (although they are girls and boys lol)
It all depends, really. In a generic sense, I'll call them "crews", because I have 2 storylines and the groups don't intermingle. The first set, a rock band, is "The Band" because every doll in this group is either in or works with the band. The second set hasn't told me their group's name yet, so I just call them "my dolls", or by the name of the town they live in, so "Ivywood". Collectively, however (and to those who have any clue), they're all "My Resin Kids" - the resin part included because, while I have no human children, I have 6 boy cats and refer to them as my kids often.
The ones I have right now I call my tribelings, they're all related thanks to their very promiscuous demon dad. My floaty heads and incoming dolls aren't part of that story though so not sure what I'll end up calling them to tell them apart.
Usually "the crew", which seems to be pretty common, but also "the guys" (even though there are several girls), or "my dudes".
The common "my girls" or "my dolls." I want to come up with something better or more witty. Maybe with time something else will pop up.
I generally refer to mine as my crew. Sometimes I've called them my resins, the resin crew, or even the Krew (which is originally derived from Legend of Korra, as Korra's friend group in-series is referred to the Krew. Since a few of my crew is made up of LoK characters, it kind of carries over). But, generally they're just my crew for the most part.
I've been referring to my current two as my "Kitty Girls" since one is named Katt and one IS an anthro cat.
mine are usually The Ladies- I think my mom was the one who started calling them that haha like many others with gendered terms, I have no idea what I'll call them if I ever end up with one that's not a lady
I have an arm consisting of all my dolls, stuffed animals, etc. There is a teddy bear battalion, my first teddy bear is a general. My grandmother's old composite doll is also a general. Historically my cats are conscripted and my Dad. This army has been in existence my whole life, so I assume my new dolly (my first BJD will arrive soon!!), and any BJDs I get in the future will just be a newly formed BJD battalion of it.
Probably I call them my doll family or my resin family most of the time. I have also used crew in the past, but I ended up not liking that one too much. Family feels much adequate for me.
In relation to myself I call them "my doll family." In relation to each other, I call them "sisters" I kind of would like to use something more creative but I haven't found something that suits them yet.
They're just "The Guys" (which is strange, considering that I have both male and female dolls. But I keep on thinking it's an inclusive term) or "the Gang". I do call my 1/6 dolls "The Kids", though.
I usually call them simply "my dolls" or probably more often, "my collection." But I like how so many seem to call their collections their "doll family," it's very sweet!
The doll pantheon. The house of 5. (Or <insert number> when the new ones arrive.) But usually they're just the crew or the gang.
Since most of my dolls are female, I mentally call them "my girls" (sorry for the two complete male dolls in my collection ). When I talk to other doll people, I usually say "my crew" or just "my collection," unless I'm talking about a specific doll, then it's back to "my bunny girl," "my tiny girl," etc. Maybe I should just call them "my girls" all the time for consistency.
