Congratulations on 13 years!!
In September it'll be 9 years for me! I bought my first doll, Elfdoll June, in August 2007.

I love the number 13, so to me it's not really an unlucky number but I don't think of it as a lucky number either. It's what ever people want to make of it.

Not sure about the number 13, but August is my lucky month, because it's when I got my first doll. I even named her August. Congratulations on reaching 13 years, DoA, and for giving us all an awesome place to share our BJD passion and creativity. I'm eagerly following all of the competitions and can't wait for the unveiling of the winning entries.

I am not superstitious , but I do usually like the number 13. whether it is lucky or not depends on the day I am having.

First time to celebrate the 13th anniv of DoA ♥ I was here since 2012 but not that active back then because I was busy. Then lately I logged in to check for more infos about Renee here and lucky to find some posts about her ♥ seems like the community is welcoming too ♥ and for the number 13th, it seems fine to me as my partner's birthday falls on the 13th.

 

My first year here for the celebration, and August is my birth month!! What a fun surprise!!

Although I've been on DoA for ten years, this is my first time being active during an anniversary! Congrats DoA!

For me, the number 13 is neutral. It was many times my number at school in the names list. But many people believe that it brings bad luck. For exemple, in some buildings there isn't the 13th floor, or the number don't appear in the elevator's panel (even if it really exists!).

For anniversaries, I guess it brings joy! Another year completed! Yay!

 

Happy Birthday DOA :-) I wish I could participate, but my boy is still in production T-T Anyway, I'm excited to see what people come up with!

Oh and the number 13 has always been a lucky number for me, especially Friday the 13th regardless of the month.

I still consider myself new to the site -- or at least, certainly new to the hobby -- but it's been so wonderful and informative to be able to communicate with other doll collectors and know what's what before finally dipping in. I can't believe this forum is 13 years old already. I still remember how fondly it was talked of when I had just started having BJDs and the registrations were on invitation only. I'm glad I can be a part of its community now!
