Was your first doll a boy or girl?

My first was a boy but I quite quickly realised I should have got a girl. I'd really like to get a girl one one day! I prefer feminine clothes, hair, etc, not that you can't have that stuff on a boy, but I'd rather it on a girl doll.

 

My first doll was a girl! But now I''m thinking about buying a boy. I never really planned on getting a specific gender I just wanted one that spoke to me.

Girls exclusively and I have a strong size preference towards SD (I have one luts kid delf and honestly I would have sold her had she not been 2000% perfect upon arrival because she just isn't "showy" enough for me). I'll glance at the boys but the girls are just so cute to me they always manage to trump the me.

Plus the clothing... even though I'm getting older my girls can wear lolita clothing forever and it makes me happy.

My first doll was a girl and for a while my group was heavily skewed towards the ladies. But on the flip side my girlfriend's first doll was a boy and she has mostly boys so we have a fairly balanced group between the two of us.

 

Boy for me. In fact, I mostly prefer the boys. There are many pretty females, but because I prefer the fantasy style dolls, the only females you can seem to get are either fawns, faeries, mermaids or elves. I'd like to see some darker female fantasy that isn't just a vampiress. Maybe an eastern style dragoness!

 

So far only girls cos i only collect yosd its kinda hard to find boy i like but i m still searching.

My first resin was a boy. And is the only resin boy. (I have three boy Obitsu's I had before him) He's honestly the deciding factor in what goes in the collection. If I don't think they'll look good standing beside my first boy then I either have to think about it or just don't get it.

My first is a girl- I guess it has to do with me being a typical girl when I was growing up. I loved dressing up my barbies and playing/braiding other girls' hairs (still do!). But I do love both boys and girls BJD! i bought 2 girls and 2 boys XD.

Well, the first doll I received was a DragonDoll Tiny Girl, but the first doll I ORDERED was an IH EID Dexter LOL Quite the disparity in everything My Debbie is Harry's (Dexter) daughter. I do love my boys, but I have about 50/50 male/female, & while most of my dolls are adults therefore SDs, I have lots of kids running around, plus one of my SD ladies is a BJD collector herself - so I've ALL sizes! Except I won't be getting any BJDs larger than 75 cm.

I find that boy sculpts usually have more varied expressions to choose from, compared to girls which tend to lean towards more classically 'pretty' look most of the time.

I dunno why, my brain just defaults to male.

I still want an msd girl who can be GIRLY because my one msd girl refuses to wear skirts and dresses and just kicks me if I try.

A girl, I prefer the cute little outfits and accessories. I also find many of the male sculpts and face ups are very feminine which is not to my taste and I find uninspiring.

My first doll was a Realpuki, which are more or less designed without gender, but mine is a boy. And my second doll is heading home now and it's another boy. Though I have plans for 2 girls in the future as well. I like both and I think I'll either end up half and half.
