Volks "Yume no Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto 2010" Owners Event

I love all the outfits for this event. The Mad Hatter and the white card-like version of the White Rabbit are my favourites. I think better pictures of the White Rabbit will decide if I like him or not. ^^' Alice is super cute though!

I was hoping that I could be strong about this event, even though I have a serious Alice addiction, but PurgatoriX, your pictures pretty much sealed it for me! I love the little Yos and especially their wigs and outfits!

I'm confused though -- is the entire Wonderland collection only going to be available at the Grand Prince Hotel event and then there are going to be different limited dolls for the Hometown Dolpa?

I hope you'll permit this Volks virgin to ask a few daft questions :P I've never looked at Volks before but I really love the Alice's Turn the Key set: please can you tell me if these outfits will ever be available online? I love them but am unlikely to be in Japan anytime soon!

 

Awww!!! Little Alice is sooo cute!!! She looks like a cross between Yuu and the YoSD Four Sisters!! Don't you just want to cuddle her and pinch her cheeks? Her dress is darling too!! It's too bad that I won't be able to go to the event. But if it's meant to be, I'll be able to cuddle Little Alice someday! Super Dollfie dreams come true!!!

These outfits will only be available to those who attend the event in Kyoto. It is very likely that afterwards several of the outfit sets will be sold by the attendees. A few will likely appear here in the DoA Marketplace, so don't lose hope just yet!

 

Seems like all the dolls but the SD girl have mostly been identified, any idea who the pink cat outfit girl is?

Adding that I want to see more pictures of the Yos, wont need the outfits but I may want one of the dolls.

OMG! Volks has read my mind! If you look at my signature, my Cristal's nickname is the Queen of Hearts, and she's on a 16 body. I must have that outfit

 

She's either Elena or SDC Rene- I'm thinking it's Rene since she was a cat design but it's hard to tell.

 

But isnt the outfit for SD girls? That would make it Elena...

 

Renee is mini sized, this is an SD outfit, and it's definitely an Elena, now that I have looked at the bigger scans. Hard to miss her duck lips.

 

Wow everything is amazing!! What a great, cohesively designed release! It's a shame (for us who are not able to attend the event) that all the dolls and outfits are limited to those who can be there in person. But! I hope Volks gets such positive feedback that they are compelled to release in the future similarly detailed and gorgeous collections for a more expanded audience

 

I Love Alice and all the outfits are just gorgeous.

I don't know if I will go, I just want one Alice , the hotel is just too expensive and I don't want to go alone.
So I have to ask to my husband who is VIP member too, to come with me, but He will never accept, too expensive, lol

The Alice is adorable and the outfits are fabulous. I enjoy seeing Volks products very much but I find the events and the rules and the entire process tiring. I'm tired of the you must do this and that just so you can buy the doll. Why should I have to spend money on a hotel to get a doll? Why should I have to spend a day in line so I can buy a limited? I mean, the company either wants my money or it doesn't. But, there seem to be enough crazies and scalpers out there to keep the company in business. Yes, they are a great company with wonderful dolls. But, I think collecting these dolls should be fun and I don't think Volks events where people are stressed about buying this or that is much fun. Maybe I'm getting old but I much prefer going to the shop and buying what I want when I want or order periods where I can choose to buy or not to buy without the added stress.

Sorry everyone but as much as I love my FCS girls I don't think I want to buy into all the hype about the limiteds or these events. I'm a Volks member And love to visit Sato or go to their shops but I think these events are a bit too rich for my blood. I want to spend my money on dolls and clothes - not hotel fees.

That said, I wish those who do go all the best and hope you have a blast.

Elena is a very good mold. I've seen various Elena that has a wonderful makeup She's on my wishlist.

Is it just me, or does the White Rabbit have a different hand than what we normally see on Yo-SDs? I don't recall seeing one that curls a little bit like that, but I don't own any Yo-SD option hands.

I absolutely LOVE Alice in Wonderland!!! I am super excited the Volks decided to builld an event around this theme. The costumes are stunning but I wish they had done a Yo-SD door Mouse costume! How cute would that has been? I also wish they would have come out with an Alice costume for Yo-Sd, MSD, SD Cute, SD13, and SD16 to represent Alice as she got larger and then smaller in the story! A beautiful flower costume would have been great in SD16G size! So many great opportunities!!! I love what they have already done but I think they could have really done much more!!!

I'm guessing the YoSD's come with their outfits based on their prices. Would this be a correct assumption?

The bigger pictures make me really like the White Rabbit. >3< Especially the 3/4 shot. I'd so love it if all the dolls modeling the clothes were released as limiteds too.

Actually, looking closer at the description for the YoSDs, it does say they come with "SD option parts"! I thought that was just gonna be the order form for extra YoSD hands, but perhaps it means these new hands?

The Dream FCS is just how it sounds - for about $5000 you can have whatever mold on whatever body you want, in whatever skintone you want, painted by whichever artist you want! They only offer about 3 so everyone who applies will not get one.

And yes, booking must be done that early - payment however doesn't come till January ^_^

Anyone else think it funny that Volks chose to make Little Alice in whiteskin while the White Rabbit is in normal?

Little Alice has white skin? Oh, oh, oh, I really want her now!!! It is funny that Little Alice has white skin and the White Rabbit has normal skin. It is like when they released Iris (Snow White) with normal skin, and Johanna (the Evil Queen) with white skin! I like the way Volks changes traditional stories to make them more interesting.

It would be so wonderful to do Dream FCS!!! I doubt I will ever have the money for it, but I can hope and dream!! If I could order Dream FCS, I would get one of the following:

I think they're the same - that was the picture shown during the Kobe Cruise event as a sample of what to expect. It's the same head mold in 2 slightly different colored versions of the same dress. I think they added it to enhance the dreamlike quality of the photo shoot

 

Well, I'm not interested in any of the goods from this event, but it is fun to see what Volks is releasing. I'd like a better look at the new Yo hands, though, and I definitely see a resemblance in the White Rabbit's eye shape to Yugiri. X3

As for dream FCS, I'd like to see photos of what people got out of it, but if I ever had the chance, I'd want nothing to do with that Beauty White nonsense. Give me a sunlight skin SD17 boy, or a sunlight Yo! Oh man, that would be SO awesome.

 

More Ebony skin for me, please I keep hoping it'll be an FCS option some day...
