So long story longer... I am thrilled that she is finally coming home and can be with her older sister. I am also not allowed to buy any more dolls for a long time... and I think that is okay for now. (easier said than done, I suppose)

Congratulations on getting Una!!! She was my grail, once. But since I received my Yo Megu, I don't need her anymore. I know what you mean by not being able to pay for other dolls for a long time after buying her. She is very rare, though, and you should be happy.

 

Hey, thank you Fransyung! I don't really have a lot of people in my rl that appreciate the purchase so your comment made my day. Waiting is going to be tough but it's also my favorite part as well. She also knocks out my doll plans for the rest of the year (likely). This might come back to haunt me but I'll deal with that when the time comes.

Additionally, I have to admit that if I had your skill & courage with customizing and developing my dolls then I probably wouldn't need to import a Yo-Una! I think your doll family is an absolute treasure and delight to view- I've visited your Deviant Art page many times!

It keeps changing because sometimes I need a doll as badly as you did with Una, and someone must go to let that grail comes in. (_ _) But my Volks dolls probably will stay (all of them) because they were all grails once in my lifetime, and it would be painful to let any of them go. It's hard to talk to people in rl about this stuff because they always think of these dolls as overpriced hobby items. ^^;;; I saw YoTenshi Una recently on a meet (XiaoCream's little Una) and I love her to bits. But she looks exactly like my Yo Megu albeit the skin color. xD

Hello everybody! I just did FCS yesterday in LA. Now comes the hard part, the waiting. :/

I got a WS MSD F-19. So excited!

 

FCS is so much fun! I have no doubt you will love your new doll. Take lots of pictures please!?

I definitely agree about eating beforehand. All in all, it took about 4 hours for me! Most of it was spent on the make-up part. :P

 

I wish I could do my own FCS order instead of commissioning someone to do it, but I think that would be pushing my budget with the going to Sato and all >,<. I am in love with the fact that Volks tends to be on schedule with it's orders and gets them out in the allotted 2 months most of the time, so you know how long you have to wait abouts. I just want to hurry up and order my boy, but I need to get this month's finances worked out before going crazy on the dream doll ordering.

KiwiManatee- First of all, I love your adorable nonsensical name haha, but anywho, that is a great sculpt and WS is pure love, and I am certain you will adore her when she comes. It is one thing to order a doll and be in love, a-whole-nother to completely customize a doll order and receive it just as you imagine, insta-bond is sure to follow!

 

Just received a shipping notice from Volks for my Neon. Eeeee, I cannot wait until he's home. It looks like it won't be until Friday (truck needs to trek across-country). I just hope I'm around to sign for him.

I am getting an F-35, not actually my top choice, but I was warring with myself over that one or F-36, both were heads I've wanted for years, but one had to win for now. There are really a lot of great sculpts that aren't really popular, or haven't been ordered. It is nearly impossible to find pics of many of the sculpts released over the last 5 years or so, and I know they've been ordered lol. Oh well soon! And then I will be able to officially join this little soirée.

 

Artemos: F-35 is a beautiful sculpt. It's so hard to choose just one. Since both F-35 & F-36 are both SATO only, I'm sure that contributes to the lack of them.

 

I also ordered a F-35, mine is going to be a white skin SD13 girl She should be coming in May. I'm really excited, it's the first Volks and SD sized doll I've ever bought and it was a lot of money for me but I can already see myself wanting more >.>

She's going to be like Kiwi's girl a water spirit, or a mermaid. Still debating on a name for her though! I like hilarious obvious names so I'm debating between Sirena, Odessa, and Laguna for my mermaid.

Hey thank you! Una is actually already on the truck for delivery if the FedEx site can be believed. Rinkya was an experience and their shipping very expensive but it is fast! I am also waiting on an Aoko from Kerbey Lane. Funny I didn't mention that before but it's been a little bit of a wait- I am excited and all but honestly sometimes (after 3 months) I forget she's incoming so soon. I blame the wait on the Sabers for my ability to tolerate a long wait for a doll.

Received my Yuu body today, I got her in a split with bloodycrow. After my Rinon stole JunT's body, Jun-chan is glad to be back on a body! I love the redesigned neck, it's so easy and smooth.

Well it officially been an entire week since I placed my FCS order. It feels like this is going to be a very long wait! I'm just so excited! I have so many projects going on right now, but I just want to put them aside and make my girl a pretty dress.

 

Just ordered SD13 Yori "Cover Girl Version," the special pre-order doll from Komame's Lil' Custom Lessons 4. She'll be the first SD my GF and I have owned, so I'm super excited, especially since I'm a regular at the store and it means I'll have a BJD to bring there instead of just DDs. (I really like my DDs, but they somehow don't inspire as much passion in me as resin dolls do.) I'm also happy that, since we own a ton of DDs, we have tons of clothes and shoes that will fit her.

Well for me, it has been 2 weeks since I ordered my FCS. It's going by so slowly!!

Thanks. The makeup makes a big difference for me, I'd seen the normal Yori several times and hadn't been interested in owning one, but I was hooked the second I saw the cover girl version.

I've probably got at least another six weeks to wait on mine, Volks says things are being delayed more than usual thanks to IDEX.

 

Wow, Volks is kind of fast, I won belle at the AE, paid on the 27th march, and she's being delivered already *jumps for joy*

I somehow have two incoming Volksies in the space of a week! No idea how this happened, either. I bought the SD17 Prince Claude -- my Williams just wants to steal the SD17 body, hah! -- and then found a lovely SwD Tae head on the MP for a reasonable price so I bought that, too.

Tetradeka- Thanks, I will try to, I order an omukae outfit for him even though I don't really like the current ones just because I wanted him to have something to wear right when he gets here. I positively hate Volks wigs, so I already got him a SWITCH wig, and then I may get him a few leeke wigs as well because...well amazing colors this spring!

I know what you mean...the order hasn't actually been placed at Sato...and I am already planning for another SD, this time an F-01 boy I think, and that is already accounting for how hard it is to even dress this size >.<; It is an evil addiction, that I don't even know the full force of yet not actually having my first Volks...it is sad, but oh so good! hahaha

Congrats on the head Bluebird, both of the heads this time around are really wonderful, I have enough bodiless heads as is, plus they don't offer WS, or I would probably snatch them both up! I think I get the extra excitement of first Volks doll too, the company that launched me into BJDs, but didn't provide my first experience ^,^;

I just got an email tonight that my girl is ready to be picked up! I can't believe it! 7 weeks, 4 days
I will go next weekend, since this weekend is mother's day and we already have plans.

 

My F-35 is ready and will be shipped soon I can hardly believe it, the time passed so fast and now she's ready on time for me to bring to Anime Boston. I really don't know if I'll bring her or not though because she might be too big for me to handle. I've never had a doll this size before.

Congrats to everyone getting the DWC heads! I briefly thought about buying one of these, but decided against it, mainly because I'm now waiting for gulp...two Volks dolls! I've got SDGr Belle coming from Rochelle at Kerbey Lane, who is scheduled to arrive at the end of May. And just a couple of days ago, I heard the happy news that I'd won the right to purchase SD17 Ryoma from WLD!

I thought I was done (again) when I knew I'd being picking up my sexy Beast at IDEX, but seeing owner photos of Belle made me jump when Rochelle sent out an email saying she had one left for sale. And once Volks USA confirmed that Ryoma would be offered in the US with his option hand and gun, I knew I had to bring "Mr. Smirky" home.

 

I'm waiting for Sakamoto Ryoma.

I just got Reisner from IDEX, cost me a fortune but he was somebody I fell in love with in the past, for many years I looked and waited for him but he did not show up and I settled for SD16B Yukinojo instead, giving up on Reisner. But he suddenly showed up for me at IDEX, I was determined to catch him at all cost. I just got to get him.

Sakamoto Ryoma fits into my resin boys' team because the team is made up of characters from the Imperialist (Ishin patriots) side of the war during the late edo and early Meiji era. Of course, Sakamoto cannot be missed. Despite his name Ryoma translating to mean "dragon horse" violating my religious faith which prohibits the keeping of any items relating to the dragon, I entered the Volks USA lottery for him. Since I was able to get him through the lottery, I will accept him. He fits so well into my resin team, it's ridiculous to let him go. Sakamoto will be amongst comrades.

Finally.....I'm broke.

Wow maclou That was fast! You just posted that she's ready to be shipped and arrived she did! When I ordered my F38 4 years ago, he also arrived super fast, within 3 days. Japan-US and Japan-Canada shipping is super fast and the packages do not get stuck with customs. I remembered being shocked my boy was released by Canadian customs immediately.

Congrats, she is lovely. A very young and sweet looking F35. Big eyes. Is she in WS or NS and is that an FCS wig? I did an FCS boy so I am not familiar with girl wigs. The dress and necklace look really good on her. I see you did not order the greeting kimono, it's really beautiful. I can almost see my F38's eyes popping out! He likes the F35. Too bad for him I can't afford an FCS now, we can only admire. Thanks for sharing.

 

Yes she did come really quick. Also I work at the post office so I made sure I was right where the express mail comes when she came in haha. She's WS and the wig is FCS. I do kind of wish I bought the kimono and heel feet for her. Ahh I'd love to do another FCS, my dream is to go to LA and do one myself but right now I don't have the money

 

maclou I am not sure if the rules have changed, but that greeting kimono can only be bought if you do an FCS with Kyoto store. It is very lovely. I think it might be too late now to approach your agent and ask if you can still order the kimono now. The wig is very impressive. Suits her really well. Very sweet.

I can totally understand your dream for wanting to do an FCS in person. My dollie dream is to go to Kyoto with my mom and let her do the FCS on a sculpt of her choice. She's better at that than me. We can send the completed doll to my cousin's house in Tokyo. Right now, I don't see my dream coming true at all. But then, we can still dream, dreams are free.

 

One down, one to go! My Belle arrived on Saturday! She's sooooo pretty and has the sweetest toothy smile! Her presence has caused a shake up amongst my couples....Heath has taken a shine to her, and he and Passion (Shizu) have decided to end their long engagement. Passion has started spending time with Vincent (Beast), Joe (Yukinojo), and Honore (Ruby)...so there's no telling who's going to end up with whom! Meanwhile, Mr. Smirky...my Romeo Saki, hasn't arrived on scene yet...and there's an Ami Ayase that will be deboxed as soon as her new eyes arrive....whew! No wonder I'm out of room! LOL! :lol
