Edit: Does anyone know if Volks is going to make the sd17 body a FCS option in the near future? I saw that you can choose the Sdgr boy body now. (Which is also very cool.) Just curious, thanks.

 

Okay, in my excitement over his arrival, I completely forgot to update here to say that my cranky little warrior dude Bontenmaru arrived on August 30th and is now named Hero Imperious! He's wonderfully surly and demanding. Here's a quick pic of him (please excuse that flyaway hair across his face):



I've got a photo story in mind for Hero, and at least one of my other Yo-boys, I just need the time right conditions to shoot it.

Meanwhile, I contacted Volks USA to ask if there was anyway to tell me roughly when I might expect to get my Yukinojo, who was ordered through WLD. Volks replied that they had all the Yukinojos that had been ordered through them and their US Dealers! They told me that they would start shipping as soon as they had finished sending out other dolls (Sabers?) that customers had ordered prior to the Yukinojo release. For those of us who bought through WLD or KL, Yukinojos will need to be shipped to those shops and then to us. So it sounds as if we might see them this month, or at least by early October!

Saber is on her way home! Huzzah! Traded fullset outfit for two new handosme butchy outfits for her new persona, check! So much exciting.

 

According to the Sumika Times, VolksUSA has finished shipping all of the Sabers. So hopefully they will start shipping Yukinojo soon!

I am now officially waiting on SDGR Una and thus have used my doll allowance for the year. Both happy and a tiny bit sad. I'm just really excited!

Una has shipped!!!! Now all I have to do is waitttttt.... and stalk the tracking number. It's so hard to wait.... I need to make more space in my current doll family. Oh the angst of welcoming a new doll to the family. ^___^

 

Coming here for a little sympathy....turns out I too received an email from Debra at We Love Dolls on Oct. 4, but I missed finding it in my Inbox until today. I'd set up a message filter that was supposed shuttle anything mentioning either Yukinojo or WLD, but it didn't work. So now I've got my fingers crossed that my reply confirming my payment data and shipping address hasn't come too late to get my guy now, vs. having to wait for the next shipment. Over the Summer, I even phoned WLD because I was traveling a lot, and asked that they call me instead of emailing me when it was time to pay the balance on my Joe, but I guess that notation got lost in the shuffle, because I never got a phone call...dang it!

Oh well, good things like this gorgeous guy are worth the wait right?! I guess if I have to hang on until the next batch arrives, it'll just make my holidays that much more fun. Workin' hard to make lemons into lemonade here!

I just got the notice to pay a few days ago. she didn't ask for payment until the dolls arrived at her shop so she could weigh them for shipping.

Friendly reminder to anyone who entered with Kerbey Lane for Sendai items, I think our balances are due on Oct. 20th.

 

I pre-ordered on the last day for Yukinojo with VolksUSA. Of course I paid in full. I'm not sure when he's expected though. Does Mid November sound about right?

My partner ordered a FCS SD girl back in July, so we're eagerly awaiting her arrival anytime now. We're both so excited, but the wait is killing us! I was hoping she'd get here yesterday, on our anniversary, but that would be much too easy to remember, haha.

Edit: Any day indeed! She arrived today!

 

Thanks again, and congrats to you! My Yukinojo has arrived at last today (Friday)! I adore him even more than I thought I would! He is amazingly muscular...as my hubby says, we could rest shot glasses in the deep valleys of his colllar bone! And my "Joe Anjin's" face is absolutely mezmerizing. Congrats to everyone welcoming their Yukinojos home! As for me, I'm out of this waiting room now...and back to working on putting something into my poor empty piggybank ...until the next time Volks creates someone to tempt me.

I am waiting on an older Syo I bought off Mandarake the other day. He's got no eyes or wig, and needs his face cleaned because remnants of his original face are still clinging to the creases. I'm so excited though! I've wanted another Syo for a while but didn't want to order a new one and ruin his faceup (because I like the new default faces). This one I can paint the way I want without having to worry about it!

I just bought a Volks Yosd Isao from a fellow DoA'er! I'm so excited I can't even begin to say. I met both the boy and the seller in person at last year's Gencon and fell head over heals for him. When I got home I saw she had him on the marketplace and wrote her immediately to ask if I could buy him. She admitted she wasn't ready to sell him. I can totally understand because he is such a beautiful doll. I looked at other Isao's but realized that none of them were quite the same as hers. I told her to let me know if she ever changed her mind. It's funny too because at that time I would have had to put him on layaway anyway.

Fast forward to present and I get an email Friday asking if I was still interested. This time I am not only still interested but I also happen to have the ENTIRE amount and I have her invoice me right away. She knows her boy will be very loved (and she can see him every Gencon). I get the doll I'm meant to be with.
i only hope the wait is short!

Happy Thanksgiving Volks Waiting Room! ^_^ I received my tracking number for my Sdgou Yukinojo pre-order. Looks like he will be shipped tomorrow. I feel as though I maybe one of the last customers to receive their Yuki. I'm pretty excited to see the new Gou body in comparison to the SD17 in person. From what I've seen of owner pics, he looks pretty amazing!

 

I'm waiting for my very first Dollfie Dream, and I'm totally hyped xD She's composed by a DDH-06 lovely head and a DDII base body, I'll have it in Christmas, so it won't take too long (yes T.T)

finally, my DD2 body and DDh-01 head arrived, now I'm waiting for my grail doll DD Nia Teppelin, yay :3

 

I'm still waiting for my Luna girl to come back as well as an FCS order for an Elena. hehe

 

This is sort of a land mark day for me.

When I first started researching the hobby in 2004 I fell in love with the FCS F-14sculpt

so when I saved enough for her by the next year how happy I was to see that Volks was opening a store in L.A. I went to the opening and went to order a F-14 to find out that they did not offer her there at that time.

I took home a second choice but none the less it was disappointing that I didn't get the doll I drove hours for. Fast forward to November 2012 when I went down to L.A to finally order my first grail doll. ( I was very sad they were completely out of welcoming outfits)

Today I got my email saying she is ready to be picked up!! I am really excited since this is my first full choice.Now I just have to schedule as to when I can get down to L.A.
