Volks Waiting Room v3!

Is anyone else who's waiting for a Date from Kl received a shipping notice from them but haven't had it update? Mine still says "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on November 21, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

I'm wondering if they are still getting them ready since this was the week of Thanksgiving.

*Re-reads your answer* Judging from the fact your friend got it several days ago I'm guessing they got the shipping notice last week. According to KL's facebook they had half the Dates shipped last week and were going to finish up the rest early this week. I was wondering if anyone else who got a notice this week has had an update with their tracking.

I sent an email to KL and got a reply from Rochelle. They have sent him out, USPS just hasn't updated yet. The mails come and gone for today so hopefully I'll see him Monday or Tuesday.

Edit: I now have my Date! The mail carrier returned with him tonight.

I picked up my Date and Piccolo from my parents today too! I'm actually most excited about Piccolo, since he was near impossible to get before this second release.

I figure I should post here as well, I'm waiting on Saber Alter like many others. I've waited a few months before when ordering a doll but never so long as waiting until June so I hope I can manage.

I am (impatiently) awaiting the arrival of my first Volks doll. She's an SD13 full-choice doll with an F-16 head. I modeled her to appear kind and warm, with her mouth upturned in a gentle smile.

I have a pretty long wait ahead of me, though... I ordered her today, and she's not set to arrive until April >.<

In the meantime, I'll be clothes-hunting...

Yes, I ordered my doll at the LA Tenshi-no-Sumika. Even though I pretty much knew what I wanted when I came in, the order took three hours to complete @_@ It was fun, though, and definitely worth it! The woman who works there (Bailey) was very patient and helpful.

I've been staking out 'the perfect outfit' online, but it's been really hard finding something that suits her personality. I'm going for a modern style, so I think I'm going to have to mix and match a bit. Luckily I received some really good online seller suggestions after posting in Newbieland.

I hope your doll arrives very soon, as well!

I figure I should join this thread now that I'm waiting for my SwD Nono that I won through KL. I plan on keeping everything but the head, since my BW F-22 girl needed an sdgr body. April is only four months, but then I think that that's all the way at the end of the semester....

I just bought my yo-tenshi Nono- she's my first yo and I managed to find here MIB. Now all I have to do is wait for her to get her! I've never had such a small doll before... or one with wings!!!

I was never a DD fan before. After meeting several in person and liking them a lot, I kinda wanted one but none have really jumped at me until now. Probably because my resin kids are mostly me playing with face-ups and idea's and DD's are so ... blank? in comparison.

She shall be my lolita style dress up doll! XD

 

I am finally in the process of purchasing my first Volks doll from the marketplace! I'm buying a School C head and an SD13G body. I'm pretty excited. It's not a new doll by any means but I've been looking at this particular head for years, so it's new and exciting for me! I have all of her clothes/wig/eyes ready for her arrival.

PrinceDuCiel - Can't wait to see what you do with her! I have been looking at Dollfie Dream girls as of late, and like you, I've not been a fan until recently. Congrats on your first one!

Today her rainbow of lolita wigs came in from Leeke. I'm going to have all this clothing etc for her before she even gets here! XD With the white wig she comes with, she shall be rainbowlita! Wahaha. Wow, she is super cute! I love the makeup they gave her. She'll look great in those wigs! I'm like you, I have everything my girl needs before she even gets here. haha. I can't help it. It makes waiting for the doll a little easier when you can buy all these cute outfits and accessories for her beforehand.

 

Oh geez, I just bought her a Big Sister and a Little Brother. They'll have volks bodies but their heads are sq lab. ^^;;; Wahaaaa can never just buy one. @.@

I just order My first Dollfie Dream. She is not a character. She is a blank HDD-03 and a DDdy body with a pair of black Animetic eyes type B

Anxiously waiting. I order from Volks USA and all the items were on stock, so I hope I don't have to wait to long. She is going to be ship via USPS

 

i ordered him on the 27 December, the wait will be around 2 months >_< However, I have to go back to Japan to pick him up from my place :<

 

Congrats on your Dollfie Dream! From my experience with Volks USA, my orders never took very long, a day or two at most, so I hope she ships soon!

I think is so cool you have everything ready for her arrival. I don't have anything ready for my girl. My plan was to save enough money to buy her with a pair of clothes, shoes and a wig. But as soon as I completed the money just to order the body and head. I couldn't wait any longer. My poor girl will be in the nude and without a face-up for a couple of months. So I think it's awesome that you were able to save up for her like that.

 

I was wondering whatthe School C head etc stuff Was. I am Very much so not familair with volks other than the DD's etc. and even than not enough to know the names of all the heads etc

 

Oh! The 'School' heads are heads you can only get if you attend a makeup class from Volks, which is why I'm getting the head second hand, since attending such a class would basically be impossible for me. School C is the version I'm getting.

I'm definitely going to keep the faceup. It's so pretty! I think it'll fit her wig and eye color, too. Her wig is a French Grey color and her eyes are a purple/pink.

Do you know how loong it take for Volks USA to ship an item??

I thought my DD was going to be ship today because I order her on Saturday but she hasn't been ship yet.

I check at volks and now they don't have available the DDdy body? So I'm afraid when I order the body it wasn't available and now I have to wait until the middle of March when volks USA restock again to get my girl.

But I'm also thinking that if the body wasn't available I wouldn't have been able to add the DDdy body to the shopping car. Because I tried to add the DD body 1st that day and was out of stock so it didn't let me do it.

 

From my experience, VOLKS has never let me put an out of stock item in my cart, so I think you must have bought the last body on the site, so now it is out of stock. And I think it should ship in the next couple of days. They are pretty quick, but they are probably just getting set up again from the weekend. I wouldn't worry!

My girl's body has arrived and I restrung it, put new S hooks in her, gave her new KIPS, and cleaned her. She still has a slight problem with her leg but I can live with it! I just need to be careful. Her head is in route and I hope to have a USPS update on her whereabouts tomorrow-ish. I'm hoping she gets here by Wednesday because my best friend LENNIE will be coming over to take photos. I just bought two lighting umbrellas/lights, so picture taking here I come!

 

...I have paid off my Saber Lily...if only, if only one could understand the amount of excitement that is shaking within my bones! I AM REALLY EXCITED. $2700, year long layaway. I started on September 17th, 2011 and in half that time I've managed to finish her. I am just going to BOUNCE for the next few hours (maybe days? Then more bouncing will commence once she arrives).
