I'm waiting my third FCS in my life ! This is the first that i was alone to make myself for the FCS (excepted the support of my friend who is come with me) !

So i'm waiting FCS F-45 from Tenshi no Sato (Kyoto in Japan) ^^ ! With my special request face-up (i have understand all ! Sugoiiiiiiiiiiiiiii) ! I am so happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

When you do an FCS, can you request the face up to your liking? To make the doll unique? ^^

 

Yes, FCS does include a custom faceup done according to the specifications you give Volks. Both of the ones I did through them turned out pretty amazing and really surprised me since I generally don't like Volks faceups all that much.

I have give my instruction + a picture modifier by photoshop and my pencil on the pic XD !! Like that, i have what i want ! but, it is more diffucult if you want eyeslash in or out, sad or happy, freckles or not ! ! where is the thread of FCS ? i haven't seen it OO ! please :3

You can give them as specific as you want instructions and include photo examples of faceups for reference as well as give them colour samples if you have specific colours in mind. If you order through an agent, it would be up to your agent to convey your faceup instructions to Volks. My first FCS doll all I told them was to make him look like Cloud and gave a few pics of Cloud. He turned out A LOT better than the second FCS I did with more specific instructions using faceup examples. Also, your faceup examples should be of Volks dolls. You would think that would be a no brainer but...

They'll also paint dolls like LE's past, so you could say get an F01 with a Kurumi style faceup.

So my SD13 Mimi just arrived! She has indeed turned out to the be the project doll I thought she might be though. She needs quiet a bit of work: a very through cleaning, restrung as she is super SUPER tight (I can't even see under the head cap well enough to see any inside markings) and her brow's and lips redone. I would say her entire faceup but I really don't want to loose her gorgeous lashes so I'm trying to figure out how to save them.

I'm trying to figure out her age, but I guess I had better move that over to the general Volks thread so as to stay on topic. ^_^;

 

Congrats, MacaronTea... Mimi is a gorgeous choice... I can't wait to see her done! ^^ You can always pluck the eyelashes off using a bit of heat (hairdryer maybe), then reattach them after you finished changing her face up... ^^

 

Frans: Noel started the whole family of Volks, huh? Now he has plenty of Volks Brothers to play with, haha! I don't know if I could have so many Volks, just one is so much heavier than my dolls!

I love soft colored hair and keep pondering one of the pale lavender or misty blue wigs from Leeke. One of these days I am going to cave in, I just know it! You should go for it if it keeps calling to you.

I don't mind soft-colored hairs on boys. ^^ Sometimes my boys use blonde and white hairs, too. I can't wait to see your Piccolo... The one from Huis Ten Bosch is one of my fave molds... ^^

I have no clue if I will....maybe? XD It really matters on if I decide to deal with my horrible camera or not. :P (It's old...so old...) Well you won him via lottery from one of the dealers, right? I'm expecting my DDS Akira some time in the middle of November... I wanted to hold back on DD Sakura till she got here, but oh well. No double box opening for me. xD

 

You know how time slows down as you approach the speed of light. I think the same thing happens when waiting for a doll. The closer you get to it's estimated arrival time, the slower everything else seems to get.

Waiting is the worst part of the process. xD What I hate is when they are sitting in your post office being sorted or something. Makes you want to go down there and steal them from them. >.>

 

I'm waiting for a Date Masamune, so I keep hoping we'll here something from Volks USA soon. The funny thing is I won through Kerby Lane, so I'll have to wait for Volks USA to send the doll to KL, just so they can then send it back to Los Angeles where I am.

 

XD That's a wee bit silly! I won my girl from KL as well. I'm like "send her out of CA just so you can send her back to CA!"

But in your case that's even funnier.

 

Hehe, no kidding. I could be at the store in about 45 minutes. But I'm so thankful for KL. Without them there's no way I could have gotten the doll...at least not without having to pay extra for a service, and the exchange rate.

 

Srsly. I'm thankful that they exist! I was actually not lucky enough to even get the chance to enter for DDS Akira, but apparently someone dropped their order, because they responded to my WTB. I was prepared to pay scalpers prices! D: So I'm really happy that they do exist. I've also won things from them in the past. >w<

Sorry for double post, but I just received my girl! She was supposed to be here at the end of this month (last 10 days or so), so I was totally surprised when I came back to the dorm and seen my nameplate moved to the 'package awaiting collection' place
Now I just have to clean up my room a bit and I can open the box!

 

My Lorina and Date are in the mail to me right now. I think I'm going to die of excitement waiting for Tuesday. Maybemaybemaybe they get on a fast truck and are here by Saturday?

USPS is playing a game with me...;____; On Monday they attempted to delivery DDS Akira, but because I wasn't there to sign they left a notice (Work always getting in the way!) and so I inquired for a redelivery for the next day. (I didn't have to be there to acquire her.) Apparently, they decided to take the shipping slip, but not leave her (or my Nendoroid Homura! D: ) and now I'm sort of wondering...where is my Akira...? (And homu homu)

Kat: Drat! >.< She (they?) Should be at the post office associated with where your address falls on their route. If you call around to USPS offices in your zipcode you might be able to track them down. If you can't pick up in person at least make sure they redeliver Friday. USPS likes to return packages to sender, they've done it to me with only 2 deliver attempts. Good luck!

 

After quite a lot of calls I was able to track her down! D: For some reason she got routed to a different town and then got sent back? O.o'' It was really confusing and I am unsure why that all happened, but she's home and freakin' adorable!

I'd have pics, but ironically my camera died the same day I brought home my new DSLR (which sadly I don't know how to use so we'll have to wait on photos...) Thank you for the help Meli!

 

USPS likes to not even deliver my packages, like today with the Obsidius head I'm waiting for. It went out for delivery, but the mail man never brought it to my door let alone left me a slip. I hope my Date comes in next Tuesday when I'll be home from work.

Yes! Finally! Thank you~ I have her all done up in the Kitty Magician outfit >w< So cute. I totally wrapped her in plastic wrap though. xD I'm gonna be playing with my camera to get the hang of it (I've never owned a DSLR...) and hopefully I'll get some shots of her this weekend. ^^

 

What brand of DSLR? I only own a Nikon, but my friends all use Canon... ^^ They say Canon is the easiest, but I find Nikon very easy... XDDD

 

I got a Canon. ^^ EOS Rebel T2i. I've been told that both can be easy to use mattering on the model. Luckily, during the weekend I'll get some training from friends. XD

I haven't been in this thread in a long time, but I'm eagerly waiting for both SDGr Date and YoSD Piccolo! These will be my last new dolls in a long while, so I'm going to enjoy their homecoming.

I have a Canon as well, you'll get the hang of it, DSLRs are just testy in general. My Piccolo should be here on Saturday via FedEx, I'm all ready for him! >w< I haven't had a fullset doll in years, I'm a little excited to get everything in one box, haha!
