Where did you guys enter your Volks membership number? I put mine in the comment area? There was no set place to enter it?

 

I was able to realize she isnt for me and didnt enter for any but I did end up buying a volks i found XD

 

Isenn They said in the instructions to enter that and your handle in the comments area so I think you should be fine ^_^

As for Shinku, I think she looks fine. My Luna's face has heavy blushing and is different color than the rest of her body or even the rest of her head for that matter.

 

Correct you need to put your name you want to be officially know buy if you win and your volks card number in the comments section.

Shinku - um... what really seemed weird was the hand looking normal colored like the light was correct. The only thing I could think of is its an OLD head that has yellowed greatly but I am sure that can't be the case right !! volks would not do that so the makeup artist must have piles on the airbrushing.

I thought I read that the number went in the comments section but I worried that I might have missed an official entry box somewhere. OK cool. I did not put my handle though guess that doesn't matter.

That is what I get for trying to fill everything out quickly before rushing out to dinner.

Thanks ladies~ I think I am going to continue to sit out the Volks one-off lotteries due to this debit/credit card hold thing. My card doesn't have a super high limit and I need the PP monies for household stuff, so it's just not in the cards this time. Good luck to everyone entering though! My credit card company just increased my limit on one card, I didn't ask or want them to, so putting a hold on it is a *good* thing for me! I ended up entering for Tsukasa Konoe and Tsuyoshi Maki, but not Williams...the odds of winning either of them have got to be so much worse than that recent Soom lottery, but if I don't try, there's *no* chance, so may as well!

 

They DO put a hold!! I just saw a DROP warning in my bank balance! they took a hold out so do be careful or you will be charged overdraft fees!

 

I also thought Shinku's face looked to be a different color but it is probably heavy blushing since I have seen other Volks dolls with a lot of blushing that caused the same effect. My Bianka's head looks to be darker then the rest of her body due to a lot of face blushing.

 

I entered for the Ruby but I forgot to enter my card number or handle. Should I re-enter or just email them my handle and card number?

I entered for the Tsukasa. I really hope I get him, he's the one doll I've been trying to get for as long as I've been in the hobby. (Four years now!) Now that I am more or less leaving the hobby, it would just be so poetic if he finally came home. I'm trying to tell myself to not get upset if I don't win him because everybody and their mother wants Tsukasa too, but I already know I will be. :/

I think her face color disparity is partially lighting but mostly (as others have said) just heavy blushing.
I adore her anyway. It would be such a dream come true to win.

They definitely put a hold on, because my credit card company called me up about the two I entered for, thinking someone had stolen my card. This time, I can understand it, rather than just paying my FFXI subscription or putting gas in the car, entirely normal things I do all the time, that cost much less!

I do hope it doesn't go through as an actual charge and then a refund, because if it does it like that, when they refund it I could lose money if the exchange rate changes. Anyone from Canada know if this happens?

 

Even though I can't afford it, I put in for Tsukasa and Mikuru. It's not like I'm going to win, I'm sure, anyway. I checked my card and the full amount is there for both dolls under "pending charges."

 

Thanks guys~ I double checked the site after I posted and saw that you can't change the CC info after you enter. I guess I have three choices for future lotteries then~ Ask the CC company to increase my limit over $1,500 -keep $1,500 in my Paypal account at all times just in case or pass on all Volks USA lotteries. I really wish they would make the USA lotteries the same as the ones on the Japanese site and not make you 'purchase' them until you actually win one.

 

Then why does it say if you don't include your membership number and handle they will cancel your entry as bullet rule #3?

 

I put in for Ami last time and my bank didn't put a hold on the amount (granted my card wasn't close to half full with that amount) and they never charged me, so you should be safe.

 

I am being optimistic.

IF they don't put a hold on the funds then I guess she could apply again thats going to have to be something to look for. But applying twice they say they will also cancel for that.
To me it seems missing off a handle is the least of the two offences.

It would have been nice if they had added new text boxes but they didn't want to create a custom form from the looks of it.
Lets face it the chances of winning are VERY slim.

 

Wow. Volks put a hold on my credit card but now Volks' says that they don't have my entry. I am writing to Volks again but that is pretty unlucky for me. Even the Credit Card company says they have my money? Maybe I am sitting this one out too.

Edit** They just found me yey! My customer info was not matching up in their database for some reason. All Fixed now.

When I put in for Ruby I forgot to include my Handle and Member Number so I immediately emailed Volks and they told me to send them the information and they would just enter it on my form (Thank you GinaRolo!!!).

I cannot wait until we hear whether we have won!!!

 

Isenn, how did you know there was a problem? Did they email you? Or did you email first and only find out that way?

 

maclamm7 glad they added it for you and good luck. It's probably that they don't accept changes after the cutoff date or if the winner wants to transfer it to another person.

 

Definitely applying twice is the worse of the two offenses I was originally thinking the handle name and email rule was there to see if people read the instructions.

 

I forgot the handle name also, but e-mailed Volks immediately afterwards. They responded the same day and fixed it for me. I entered for Shinku (like everyone else and their dog) and Miruku. Yes, I can hear "The Impossible Dream" playing in the background ... and your point is?

Does anyone know who the maker of Suigintou's outfit is and if they have a website? It is credited on the web page to Prince de Lis... I am positively wowed by that. Whoever wins her is one lucky soul!

 

I found out because I emailed them. I don't trust my one credit card. I really never use it and my balance is always at zero. Maybe because of this they cancel my card whenever I make a purchase over a few hundred dollars. Like plane tickets I am normally on the phone with them when I am traveling abroad because my card gets turned off no matter how many times I tell them that I am abroad and I need to use my card Thus I double checked with Volks because I was sure I would be declined eventually.

Indeed I was declined but the CC fixed that fast. I double checked with Volks and that is when they could not find my entry. They did not search for me by my customer number and I guess my name was botched in the entry in the field LOL nice going Laura! You think I could fill out a entry field with my name. Well somewhere a mistake was made and most likely it was me not Volks but me heeeeheee. All fixed now.

 

I entered for Miruku also, even though I really think Shinku has the best dress I just couldn't bring myself to enter for both. Slim chance at best but hey! someone has to win her! I hope someone from DoA wins her.

mistress_S_: Volks hasn't released human elf ears in msd size. Technically it's a one-off not an FCS so it would not be eligible for the FCS owners event Volks is currently offering.

I don't think that's necessarily the case
It's always been that the holds are lifted before Volks lottery winners are decided. My hold has also disappeared, but my order is unchanged. Items start disappearing from your order if you lose...

 

It depends on your credit card-my card and their system did not match properly so I don't have a hold placed on my card. That happened to me so I emailed Volks USA which confirmed my order had been placed.

Mine was released as well but I agree, I don't think it has anything to do with who wins or not. The winners aren't even announced until tomorrow anyway so we'll know then...good luck everyone!!!

edit: you just click the link in your on-line receipt and it should take you to your order to check the status.

 

My pending charge is still there but yea, it definitely has nothing to do with winning or not.

There's nothing next to either Order Status on mine, either. I think that's normal for the lotteries, but... Eek.

I know that, last year, I forgot to put in my membership card number when I tried for a one-off. Everything looked fine up until the day of the lottery when they cancelled my order. I just figured I'd lost, but I don't think my order even made it to the lottery in the first place. I wish Volks would send out a confirmation that everything was done correctly and that the membership information matches up. Or something! XD

 

Do let us know what happens! I feel like a blank status is normal, but without confirmation from Volks, we're kind of in the dark.

I just got off the phone with Volks and they confirmed that everything was ok! *whew* So it a blank order status is nothing to worry about! As for using debit cards, they told me that apparently some banks don't hold funds like credit cards do.

Cinnamon, I'm so sorry about your one-off experience last year. It's already such a small chance to get these dolls... ;; At least this year, you know that you definitely have a shot at it! But I would appreciate a big, sparkly email that says "You're in the lottery! Now go pray like mad!" XD
