Volks USA Autumn 2009 Event Rush

I agree 100% with you there. I have not commissioned anyone for Sato because I just cannot afford it. And since with this hobby there are always more wants than money I am happy to hear the sunlight option has come to the US I hope eventually Sato only molds will also be included. I would love to visit Japan but it is highly unlikely I will ever get to go.

 

I ordered a FCS Sunlight skin girl when I was at one of the NY dolpas, so it has been available. I hope that if there is another in NY it will be available again.

 

Isn't it all so exciting? I'm so happy that Sunlight Skin will be available here in the US!!! I know that so many people have been praying for it!! I've been getting an idea for a Sunlight MSD Girl too!!

I can't wait to see what One-Offs they'll offer!!! I most likely won't enter for any of them since I won Mihmi, but window-shopping and dreaming is always fun! I'm hoping for a beautiful Luna or Miruku!!

If you wait long enough, they'll probably add Kanata's head to FCS, then you could get a Sunlight Kanata!!!

I hope you can get your Shinku someday, Gus!!!

Looks like the VolksUSA blog was updated with the class items. No new one-off information yet, I'm dying to see pictures of the one-offs

 

Does anyone know how the workshop works? Do you get to do the maitenance/stringing and the face-ups or just one part? I'm trying to figure out which tool set(s) to order with my lottery entry.

 

In the past USA workshops, it has always been one or the other. Such as one class for faceups and a separate class for stringing/maintenance. You only had entry to one of those classes, so you had to choose what is your first choice and your second. Since there are school heads and MSD kits available, then I'm surprised that the option of applying for one class or the other is not available. Maybe they will offer such options once the roster/lottery has been finalized.

 

How the HECK did I not see the info on the Sunlight Skin at LA news?!?!?! OMG. *dies of happy*

...then again, this could be very VERY bad for my wallet. Now I just have to wait a few more years for the F-40 head to make it across the pond.

 

I called and asked about what classes are involved in the workshop. You don't have to choose! If you get in, you get to do the maitenance and the face-ups. Huzzah!

Clearly, that Tsukasa wants to come live with me. Volks should show him how much they care by allowing him to find his way to my apartment.

 

They have a Shinku...they really have a Shinku...I do not think my heart can handle entering for her...the only Volks I could never afford or get...good luck to me and all those other souls who want her as much as I do

Hmm well I think they really tried harder with the williams and the ones in the green ensembles I feel I could do alot better on the mikuru and shinku ones personally. That msd girl is pretty cute though ^o^

 

Okies, after totally having my heart devoured by Shinku I was able to look a the rest of the dolls lol!! WOW!!! They are awesome! They really went all out on these One-Offs!! I am loving Pearl (how can you not love her? She look so elegant), Shinku (of course), Miruku (wow look at that dress ), F-21 (I am loving her make up), and Suiginto (who is highly coveted as well I am sure).

Personally just because some of you cant afford to get sato doesnt mean some people cant be upset about it. It just sounds like all your caring about is yourself and not both sides of the story. If you really wanted a sato you could eventually save up with patience. So sorry im not going to by that

 

lol nabee XD She might be better with a new outfit and diff wig its hard to tell what the face is like till you get a doll home. Im sure alot of people will be after her Its like a needle in a haystack I really hope you have a good needle locator good luck!

 

i don't really like any of the one-offs that much. the mikuru is kinda cute but otherwise none of them really strike my fancy. the faceups aren't my cup of tea i guess. never really do care for one-offs as it is as well...i'm probably the only one XD

Aw! *hugs* You guys are so sweet! I would love to get her, but even if I don't I am sure she is going to go to someone who will love her just as much as I would. I almost feel like the one offs are more like offering special one time chances at limited and rare sold out dolls than special outfits and wigs. Of course awesome outfits are always a plus

Those Tsukasas are always popular... probably because there's been no re-release of him.

I think I'm safe from the One-offs this time, although they are all fantastic!

 

I love them all! I think they really out did themselves with these ones

I am torn between the Miruku and Williams but will probably enter for the Miruku since I've been wishing for her since she came out and I love her outfit!

EDIT: I just read you can enter for more then one one-off? Sounds like a first for USA one-offs except for maybe the very first tea party Volks held here. Now I might have to enter for Miruku and Williams since I love them both

Oh, that Tsukasa is lovely. He reminds me so much of my Cristal; I guess aone's painting style is easy to spot. I really adore all of the outfits this time, in particular Miruku's and Shinku's. But no outfit compares to the one on that Suigintou! She's cute as a button in that princely outfit.

 

I do believe that this was the policy last year as well. You can put in for as many dolls as you want, but only once each. That just spells bad news for me, since Volks controls my purse strings...

I was also hoping for this too. But I think I will put in for Ruby none the less. I think Volks may be overdue for a SD16/17ZB Limited release!!

 

I'm not normally a white skin fan but have to say the f21 with blue tinted lips is . I'm going to have to try for her. She would so fit in with the resin family.
Though it's a long shot.

I love the outfit on Williams though

 

That F-21 is stunning. I love her too. Se is out of my size range but she is undeniably stunning none-the-less.

Gosh, with work, and moving, and family issues, and, well, just EVERYTHING lately, I just haven't been able to get excited about anything doll related. Even my four existing ResinBabies haven't been getting any love at all. ::hangs head in shame::

So. This event might be just what I need to recenter myself and rediscover the love. I've put in for the workshop lottery, and to go with it - the dreaming School Head A and the boy body. I know what I want to do with him - who I want (need) him to be - if I'm lucky enough to bring him home.

Fingers crossed.

Although, to be honest, my favorite one-off as a *whole* (Doll+wig+outfit ect...) would have to be that AMAZING Tsuyoshi Maki there. I looooove that long black coat.

I so love Miruku - she's so gorgeous and perfect. Not a fan of her dress, but everything else - faceup, wig, eyes - are so pretty!

MSD F-21 is one of my dream dolls, but even though she's painted nicely, the blue lips and ears are not the look for me. But I'm sure she'll make somebody VERY happy!!

Yup! That's the plan! I don't know if there will be multiple sections or anything though. I don't think they have all the details settled yet.

 

I just put in for the workshop, and for a sleeping head. The body can come later, one way or another. If I don't get into the workshop, I may try for the Suiginto, but I really shouldn't spend my money that way right now. But she's sooooooo perfect!
