Volks Tenshi no Sato Autumn Event Discussion

I wonder if Volks will add Elena and Mark to FCS?

I rather fancy the idea of a sunlight Elena boy.

Just a question, are they going to be regular line, non limited complete dolls you will be able to buy at the Sumika store when ever you want, as long as they are in stock? I like Mark, he's starting to grow on me.

 

According to the most recent Volks USA update, Volks SD Boy Mark and SD13 Girl Elena will be available for purchase at the VolksUSA store, starting on Oct 20th. And yes, they are both standard edition dolls much like Kun, Mimi, Ryo, etc.

Also, pithetaphish has confirmed that the new FCS F-35 and F-36 headmolds are definitely the headmolds of Elena and Mark, respectively.

 

Actually I was at the event and specifically asked Ken Yamanaka, one of the Volks' employees if the F-35 and F-36 were the same molds and he said they were not and that while there were similarities they are not the same.

 

I didn't have enough time to check F-35 and F-36 well though, I felt they were "a slightly changed" heads from Mark and Elena.

One head has a similar lip shape with Mark. But the shape of the outline of face looks a little different.
One head looks more different from Elena, but makeup can seem them so differently, so I was not sure.

All of Sato staffs looked too busy and I couldn't ask them questions. At next Sato trip, I'll check blank heads well and report it.

Rkold, I heard the event was quite hard. Could you get your Tenshis? I wish it and you're in good health condition now.

 

Even if they are not "the same" they are close enough to my way of thinking.

I think many of us were hoping for definitely different heads.

 

The event was horrible.

I waited on line for 4 hours and the only thing I got was a nasty sunburn. I didn't even make it inside. I'm going back on the 12th to do a pre-order because I could not take waiting on line another hour or two just to pre-order on the 6th.

While on line I asked Ken though about the molds because I wanted to be able to bring back some information to share with people other than the order things sold out and how miserable it was attending the event. Waiting for a Dolpa is better.

 

They look really different to me, as the owner of a Mark. That boy is much more 'masculine,' though I can see that he could be Mark's brother. Mark is an SD, and that F-36 is definitely SD13 sized. Mark's head would perch on the SD13 neck, heh.

 

Are there any MSD f-20 yet? Can someone tell me how to search for it?

 

This head was just released, so if you're looking for "owner's" photos you'll need to wait a while for the dolls that were ordered this weekend to start arriving.

I'm not 100% sure on what the wait-time is for Sato currently, but last time I ordered a FCS (which was admittedly a while ago) it was 12 weeks.

 

Aww, I'm sorry the event was such a hard one...
One of my web friends in Japan told me that this event had gotten about 1,200~1,300 fans. (usually about 600) Volks started the new Volks card system, so it must have made all processes be more slower than usual.

I was a little disappointed when pithetaphish stated that the heads were the same, since I was hoping for different and more masculine molds. Now, Im so eager to see more photos of the F-36 head!

 

Awww, I'm so sorry you had a bad time, rkold. I had a feeling that this event would be very busy. You are much braver then I am. I sunburn very easily, so I feel your pain. I hope you heal quickly!

I wish you the very best of luck in getting your Yuki! Do you have a name picked out for him/her/it?

 

I'm so sorry to hear that If you can do a preorder on the 12th, does that mean you can still get your Yuki? I know how much you want one and hope you're able to place an order.

In the TMI department, my sunscreen was in the suitcase that got lost my SFO and was only found yesterday and I was told by my husband that one of my 3 cats had to be put to sleep that day, so the event was just the icing on a really really really bad day.

But yes, there were lottery #s up to 1300. The wings sold out very very fast as did the boy's chef outfit and the girl's waitress outfit. Probably within 20 minutes I would say. White skin Yuki sold out around 800 and normal Yuki became pre order only around 900. I was 1067. ~.~ I really should have just left when I saw my number but I had no idea the event would be so completely miserable. My nose and cheeks are still strawberry red.

I really wanted to have something to share with people on DoA since I felt a bit like DoA's representative there since I think all the other attendees were Japanese. One needed to show the new Volks ID as well as ordinary ID to prove who you were. I'm not sure if that slowed things down as much as just having 1300 or so people. I think maybe they ought to have set a certain amount of items for each day of the event to help with crowd control rather than selling all the LEs until sold out the first day.

And yes, I asked several times and was told I can pre-order my Yuki on the 12th. I won't be able to take one home with me, but at least I will have one. (I have a friend in Japan who is kindly willing to mail my dolls to me, they will not ship internationally) I plan to name my Yuki "Shin" actually.

I noticed the blue wings are going for prices much higher then I remember previous wings going for on YahooJapan and I guess this explains it I want to buy a pair on YahooJapan..do you know if they will release more wings on the 12th or was that all the wings they were going to release?

Nope no more wings will be released until another Sato event and who knows what color it will be then. Volks sells their LE items until they sell out and then there is no more. It's why the first day is always the busiest. If you want a pair you will prob just have to pay the Y!J price.

And thanks for the condolences, my new rule is if you get a lottery # above 900 to just give up at a Volks event.

Man, I don't believe I will ever ask anyone to stand in a Sato line for me. That's out of control.

 

How tall is a standard Volks SD compared to the SD13's? I have an SD13 Boy with the Longo legs. I was curious how much shorter/taller Mark would be to him.

 

Try these comparison shots.

An SD13 girl is the same height as a standard SD10 boy, since they share the same legs.

 

When I first saw the F-36, it looked like a fusion of SD13 Tsukasa, SD Mark and the School Head C molds. =P

 

Im glad that the F-36 is actually a different mold. More diverse male sculpts! I love the Volks tanskin, but have yet to find a headmold that suits it.

 

So.... SD = SD10? Sorry for being so thick on this. I don't see just an SD listed on those pictures.

 

Yes, "SD" and "SD10" refer to the same size.

Yes, it has. It was held the week end of the 6th and the week end of the 13th.

Volks does not allow pictures inside its shops, which is why there are no pictures from this event of the new FCS heads. All the LE items can be seen on Y!J since there were plenty of scalpers who got a better lottery number than me. ~.~

The FCS heads won't show up in Y!J yet since any ordered would not be delivered for a month or two

 

I finally managed to buy a pair of forget me not wings on Y!J The prices were higher then I expected but for some reason the 03 wings were not as popular (even though I think they're really cute) so I went for those

I'm glad you got some too! The prices were much higher this time but I went for it and got a pair of the blue Yuki wings (before the price goes even higher) and a pair of the blue 02 wings.

 

Oh, rkold, I'm sorry! I completely missed your post about your troubles at the event. *hugs* I'm so sorry your kitty died. I know how much that can hurt. I hope your sunburns are healing. Were you able to preorder your Yuki? Shin is such a perfect name for one!

Congrads Yeah, I was surprised about the price since I don't remember the momiji wings being anywhere near as high. Then again I can see why the blue might be more popular, the color is so lovely

 

Does anyone know if the F35 mold would look good on an SD13 girl body? I've only seen pictures of it on an SD girl body so far .

 

When I went to Tenshi no Sato we got the head out on a SD13 girl body and had a look at it. It was fine.
