Honestly, I never enter any Volks lottery with the expectation of success, so no worries. I know what my luck is like.

Cecile would absolutely rock being a girl. There was one a whole ago on Yahoo who was just dreamy! (and made me get a F17 girl since I foolishly did not get the Cecile )

 

I think here have been some one-offs with cecile as a girl! But I'm not sure if I'm just misremembering stuff.



Looks like Cecile would make a very good strong willed and serious girl.
Don't know if an SD17 head would be too big though for an SD16G body though.

It can be amusing to see the reaction of some who learn the head was once a boy (or could be a girl), made into the opposite gender. Our hobby is what we choose it to be.

Welp, I went ahead and put in my order for Williams and Cecile. I'd be lying if I said my hands weren't shaking a bit when I clicked 'pay now' lol. It's my biggest doll purchase ever in all the fifteen years I've been in the hobby. I'm excited to be able to bring both home. Now I just have to sit and wait patiently!

@beamlette My F-20 has a headplate with the numbers F.2973.

And thats actually a photo of my Williams from LA Dolpa 2007! Reminds me that he needs a new faceup since I got him back from the paid-exchange in 2017.

I dont remember who owns that F-20 in the photo or what happened to him.

 

I know that Masha, Pearl, Shinku and Mytyl have also been won by people outside Japan. I wonder who won Ernie and Suiguintou...?

 

Suiguintou went to someone in Korea I think? It was on Instagram...
Ernie stayed in Japan I believe.

Wow! It seems many dolls were won by international fans. Sad to say no email here, but I just received my one-off from Dollyteria so that definitely is a consolation prize! Does anyone know if Belldandy has been claimed? I haven't seen any news on Twitter for her. I am still waiting to hear back from some of my contacts about her, as well as the Sumika Belldandy, so I'm all nerves these past few days.

So, I’ve joined the growing list of people waiting for SD17 Captain Cecile.

Having been a fan of Oath of Silver Coin for a long time, it was an easy decision to get Cecile to join my Williams.

Congrats on all the one-off winners! I’m going to go for one of the best selection - not expecting to win, thus the choice to preorder Cecile!

 

Congratulations to the one-off winners! This global online dolpa is pretty exciting! I probably shouldn’t but I’m very tempted to enter for the Scarface Reisner for the best of the best selection. Not that I would have any chance what’s so ever in winning though.

I am very excited about bringing Captain Cecile home! I love the Oath of the Silver Coin dolls. So I feel as though I kind of did win the lottery with the chance to pre-order.

 

Yes, I hope the global membership means that there will be more activity and events in the future. I think all of the dolls I put in for except for Belldandy and Victorique have been claimed. Any news on these beauties yet?

I too, love the Oath of the Silver Coin dolls and was lucky enough to get the original SD-13 Captain Cecile with Mr. Masamichi's help. I gave in and got Williams. I can't wait until all these beauties come in and for all the photos. I love to look at everyone's dolls.

I bought an F-38 head last month that just arrived yesterday, he's been a dream of mine so I love him. I hope for him to be RG Williams' fraternal twin if I can get him.

I just applied for my GL membership. It's been a dream to own a Volks. Still debating if I should get a boy or a girl. Not sure how the events work every year.

 

shipping notice for outfits bought last week. DHL. seemed a very reasonable price. sd17 ship price was a bit more than usual so he's probably coming DHL too. hopefully in a few weeks. that means we aren't waiting forever to see all the new Volks dolls on DOA!

@Lautturi, did you order your Cecile from the Volks USA store? Did you read all the conditions about ordering the Captain Cecile and Williams dolls? If I remember correctly, they are to be offered only to Mexico, Canada and the USA. That maybe the problem.

 

Hi @oriscany, I ordered through the international webstore and since got the details updated by Volks, so all sorted.

 

O, that's great news you got it fixed. I got to thinking that maybe you tried the VolksUSA store, and I don't think that would work for anyone outside of North America. I'm glad you are able to get your Captain Cecile. He is beautiful.... Congrats.

@Erleuchtung These are just a select few they hold off from selling when they were released so that they can offer them as you see now in this Best of the Best lottery. I would guess they have a handful of each model available. At the LA Dolpa 2019 I think there was just one of each but I’d imagine since this is a bigger event they have a few more.

 

I see Volks' has two auction doll again. There is just the thumb nail up. Is that a Beth and Genji?

True! The secondhand prices have always been more than I'm willing to pay but hopefully with so many out there now it'll be more reasonable.
