Volks Super Dollfie - SD, SD13, SD16, SD17, SDGr, SDGou & FCS - XXVIII

I'm really disappointed about Cinderella being Japan only. She was going to be my first SD. I'm new to this and have dollfie dreams, but the SD dolls, especially the SD 16 dolls, look so delicate and fascinating.

I'll probably end up doing the VolksUSA FCS for November for a SD16. I was just hoping for 'Rella to joine her.

 

Does anyone know if Volks ever repeats collaborations? I'm struggling between choosing the FCS thats opening up this weekend or just saving up for Lady Oscar on Mandarake,

 

Thanks! I'll just see if anything awes me in the FCS, but Lady Oscar is so far my home-run sculpt from Volks atm other than maybe F-01 and few specific ones.

 

OMG, I haven’t got any updates from them. But they told me that my order would be in the first batch. I was so excited to have my Williams home.

LOL. I am jealous now since I haven’t got any updates yet. Hopefully my Williams can be shipped on time. I can’t wait to have him home and I’ve ordered him a commissions slot already.

 

I’m surprised we haven’t gotten to see the FCS molds yet! Usually we got to see a peek of one or two before ordering starts. I wonder what they’ll be…

You should ask a friend who is currently living in Japan to purchase Cinderella for you. I believe there’re many shopping services that could help you out.

 

By looking at the tiny pictures on the online FCS website.
I guess the molds for SD10/13 would be 01/11or12or15/22/26/35. Not very sure about the second one.
For SDGR B would be 16/17/36/38/49.
Lol, I am guessing them just for fun. Please don't take it seriously.

 

@Zebra I was hoping for SD16 body FCS. I wonder if Volks USA will host another FCS within this year?!

 

I believe so. They had SD16 available for online FCS at lease once a year since 2015. And they haven't released SD16 for this year.
I think there would be a high possibility to have SD16 through the next Online FCS.

You're welcome. Their schedule is a mystery.lol. I could only guess by analyzing their schedule in the past.
It's unlikely they would release the body part only. Their concept of SD is "Another yourself" which is different with DD.

@Zebra I see, I would guess the SD16 girl FCS will be released around Oct-Nov like last year. I didn’t get a chance to order one from last year. The Christmas One-off was never returned so I need another SD16 girl

Online FCS site for August is up. Are you happy with the options? I'm surprised to see F16, i thought that head was discontinued. I wonder if this is the last chance to get him?

@Etoile I just checked them out. I'm personally not feeling most of them except 73. 71 looks really nice but I'm really looking to get a girl from Volks. I think I'm going to continue saving for Oscar.

 

What were the available sculpts this time around?

 

Available sculpts are:

SD girl: 45, 62, 63, 67, 73

SDGr Boy: 16, 38, 57, 62, 71

Must admit F16 confused me a bit too as I too thought he was already discontinued but is apparently "only" Sato/Mado only for now which usually comes before discontinuation.

Thankfully all save here, I shall continue with my really old FCS heads obsession

 

Thankfully I'm safe as well for this round. I'm excited for SD16 since I missed out last year. My new problem now is figuring out which skintone to pick when SD16 is available. Ns or sunlight (tan now?)

 

Wow, I love ALL the options, haha. Oh no! And I just impulse-bought a Michele too…I wonder if I’ll be able to resist.
I know they’ve had a couple of Sato only sculpts before. Maybe that’s why F-16 is here? I was surprised to see him too but I love the new makeup.

Can you order blushed/ detailed hands when ordering a doll through FCS?

 

I like Lorina too. Since they just released Jo in Junichi Nakahara’s World, I don't know if they are going to release Lorina or Josephine soon.

 

@Kbarberdav - No. The most they will do is remove seamlines and put a base coating on. Not really necessary with NS or WS in my opinion but absolutely amazing on Tan or darker. I got a Tan Pearl a couple of years back with seamlines removed and I love how smooth she turned out. However they cover up where the seams are removed is great.

 

Has anyone ever asked VolksUSA why they're only offering the buff arm option for their jointed SD boy body? It's the only thing stopping me from placing an order.

 

Exactly!!! I looked into many different dealers, she costed way more than $3000. With that much of money, I might be able to get both Jo and Lo if I’ve ever lived in Japan LOL.

 

For the USA FCS, are F-67 and F-73 still Sato-Only heads? Kinda surprised to see them

 

They've offered F-63 and F-73 many times, but I don't believe I've seen owner photos.Im curious to see what the boy and girl faceups look like in real life.

Can people post or link their photos of F-63 or F-73, if they got them from Online FCS?

 

Jo's overpriced now. Before it was not that crazy. I remember that she costed only $1500-1800 two years ago. I didn't keep my eyes on the market for a while and the price went crazy. Lol. The lowest price I saw recently is 9500CYN for the head.

 

I got my F-73 girl through last online fcs. I didn't choose the make-up option and ordered the commissions for her.

 

Exactly, just the head of Jo costs more than an original full set of Jo when she was first released. I also love Beth. My dream is to own Jo, Lo, Beth someday

 

I like Beth too! Hopefully we will get the change to have them at a reasonable price. Lol. Now I would rather spend $3000 to get a Suigintou. Lol.

I am pretty smitten with f71 however, so it’s lovely to see that one. Squints. Why is Volks intent on taking every one of my pennies this year. May go for it, may not.

 

I was hoping f 01 as well. That sculpt was available through online fcs in March, but not available last time.

 

I like the Suigintou at Dolpa LA last year. She was “Princess Fortuna” Charity Auction Model, she’s definitely stunning. Volks Japan held the online Dolpa in June. I think I saw an One-off Suigintou. I could be wrong, too. Did you enter for any One-off?! I entered for one and failed

SD Williams and Cecile will be pre-order but will switch to lottery if the order no. reaches a certain QTY, just like Cinderella.

I'm also curious about how the "becomes a lottery" sales works in practice. I mean, normally you'd just check out* and be done. Are people going to find their orders cancelled because it became a lottery?

Also, does 12:00 mean midnight or noon for Volks?

Also, everyone, after seeing that SDCecile and Williams are being offered online, I think I’m going to hold off on Online FCS. With CA sales tax and the limited options for OnlineFCS, I think it’d be better to order from Sato through a proxy service. I have screenshots from the early OnlineFCS and lament how we used to have 10 sculpt offerings and 24 eye color choices.

 

Online lottery makes me happy, but my wallet she weeps. That's of course assuming that I win anything, since I'm 99.9% certain that SD Williams, and Cecil will turn into a lottery.

Yes! Because my friend said there was only one set of Will RG for the lottery. Lol. So I considered him as an one-off.
One of my friend she knew someone won the Scarface Reisner. How lucky she is.

Yeah the sales tax is definitely a big hit on the FCS! And the options are pretty narrow, yeah. :< They were only doing 5 head molds when I got my first online FCS, but they had the eye colors still - Miss having those options. :/

I really wish they could expand online FCS. :< More molds, more rotation of molds, the set makeup options from Japanese FCS... It's great we sometimes get Sato-exclusive molds but still. I'm greedy! On the other hand, it keeps me safe. XD;

I think your friend might misunderstand. There are more than 1 set of William RG. The quantity is limited, but I’m pretty sure he isn’t One-off. I’ve seen more than 5 people won him on IG.
