Aww, nuts! The more I look at Boy Cecile, the more I can see him happily playing with my gang... I'm gonna have to make some changes to make room...

Edited to add: I've just been talking about them to my husband over lunch. My dolls baffle him a bit but he's pretty much ok with them...

So I was telling him about the new Volks SD Williams and Cecile and how there have been various different releases due to the popularity of the sculpts and the storyline... And then I started on the different versions, ending on the Romantic Glance version that everyone seems to love so much but that I'm not bothered by.

And then my husband said they should release a Happy Money-making Glance version next...from which of course we then joked about it just needing to be a huge wink and a grin...

 

Oh no, I have just noticed that the lottery for Cinderella is open for ppl from Japan with membership only. Whyyy ;-;

 

Yeaa they changed the rule couple weeks ago sadly but I guess it's because they will not have enough stock if doing a global order considering how much they've got for william and cecile last time already...

 

Im still hopeful that there will be a separate preorder for global customers.

That Cinderella, along with the other limited dolls for the upcoming event will be available as a lottery for international fans along with the new YoSD's, DD's and the SD boys

 

The next FCS is in just two weeks! SO EXCITED!

 

But they have already stated in the rules that the procedure will change from pre-order to lottery if there are too many orders? That's so mean. I wish I had paid more attention to the website, otherwise I'd have contacted a proxy already.

She is my dream doll, I have to get her, no matter what. But I'm really afraid of the aftermarket prices.

 

Seriously, SD Williams and Cecile are so incredibly cute! Volks why must you tempt me so. I love my SD boy’s dormitory version Michele. So these guys have grabbed my attention. I love the size, but I must stay strong and try and resist the urge! I still have plans on eventually bringing home an SD17 Reisner! So I need to save room for another big boy.

With the recent clothing release I was able to score a few clothing items from the International Site. I was really excited about grabbing the re-release of the midnight flower set for my SD girl. I also grabbed some of the boys modern clothing staples and those sexy ankle boots for my big guys that I’ve been eyeing since their release. My only disappointment was missing out on the white and black high top sneakers! Is it just me or did Volks decide not to release them?!?

 

Cinderella has such a sweet face, sadly the high heel legs only is a dealbreaker for me. If they continue this pattern of only offering one set of leg parts with the Disney Princesses, I will probably end up passing on ones that I would otherwise be tempted by, given how many of them have ballgowns ( = high heels) as their signature looks. Cinderella is such a beauty though, I hope those of you outside Japan that want her have a good chance at getting her!

I honestly think you could easily pull this off and.... I think this idea is really cute? Maybe have them wearing matching pirate outfits too XD

 

Ugh, I'd forgotten how much time it can take to get a doll fully dressed. Between choosing what they're actually going to wear, and getting everything on them, it's a hassle. I got six of my guys dressed the other day, three of which were mostly already dressed. It still took my like two hours. (I wish we had a laughing while crying emoji)

I'm hoping the boots don't suffer to badly from Volks tendency to make their shoes extra large.

Doooooooooiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!! Especially that last part. Haha

I was thinking of making SD Williams, my SD17 Williams' little brother myself. That could change if some other idea comes to me.

 

Do the Disney gals come with parts order sheets? I'm debating on getting a secondhand Rapunzel over direct since I don't like the character yet she would work as Anna from Frozen with a repaint. Plus it distracts me from the disappointment of not getting a chance for Cinderella yet. I'd remake her dress but her face is so cute!

 

Oh yes please do it, DSD Cecile would be ADORABLE!

 

Rapunzel didn't unfortunately. Since they both have unique skin tones it would be nice to have an option to buy extra hands/feet for them. I don't know how well normal skin parts would match Rapunzel's pinkish skin

 

@Dolly Thank you for sharing the Volks twitter post about the black and white high top sneakers release delay. I made my purchase yesterday at work and only had a moment to spare to use my phone during some down time during my double shift. I thought I just accidentally missed it, or that they quickly sold out.

May I ask if you guys experienced this problem. I have won a Volks lottery on USA Volks website. The item on the lottery link status is shown as “Out Of Stock”. Is it a technical issue of the website or something else. Please help!!!

 

It's a technical issue that pops up from time to time. I've had it a couple of times. Just email them or call to let them know and they'll get it fixed.

 

Cecile and Williams in SD Boy are sooo cute. But I am safe since I don't like SD B body...
Does anyone get update of SD17 Boy Williams -Commodore Ver. 2 from VolksUSA?
I haven't heard anything from them. I ordered the faceup commissions for two of my Williams, and hopefully they would be shipped in time.

 

I have not received any updates on my Williams order. What are your ideas for their faceups?

 

Got my Liz today and of course had to put my Another Yourself Photo Book to good use (Lizception anyone? )

 

I just want one to have a melancholy look. Not sure for the other one.

I have mini-Liz, and have hankered after first issue Liz for some years now...not sure why it has to be Liz 1 but somehow she does it more for me than Spring Stroll... I had a fullset saved in my Mandarake favourites for about a year, and then one day, I looked and she was gone! Don't dally should be my motto, but I never learn!

 

I love all the Liz spam! I love the pouty lips of the sculpt. On another note I’m excited that I was able to nab a Cabriolet style Louis XV chair late last night on the Volks International site. I was surprised one happened to accidentally fall in my checkout cart.

Looks like Volks is very confident about no more delay or cancellation of Kyoto Dolpa in late August XD
They have just announced that SD Williams and Cecile will be Kyoto Dolpa-Only and will not be provided at AE.
(BTW good news to those who wants the new YOSDs. They will be provided at AE)

I’m hopeful that Volks will decide to cancel the in-person event, and move this Dolpa online like the last one. There’s no reason to gather so many people together. I don’t know if that would necessarily make Williams and Cecile more available, but I think it would be safer.

 

I mean I'm glad I wasn't interested in young Williams and Reisner but this is still disappointing to say the least. Here I was hoping Volks was finally making their events a bit more accessible to their international fans after they offered us the global membership then did a pre-order for Williams and Reisner and offered us a chance to enter the lottery for one-off models, which was amazing... Then they go ahead do this? I'm just confused I guess...

 

I am confused too. It looks like the GL member is a limited thing which only for Dolpa 43.
Since I am in the US, Volks global store is not even as good as VolksUSA to me.
For one-off models, it looks like they are available in the store only after the store reopened.

 

Yea it's disappointing. I actually wanted an SD Williams. He's so cute. ;_;

So Cinderella doesn't come with regular legs with a joint at the ankle only the fixed in place high heel legs?

 

I've seen some photos on Instagram of the upcoming new clothing collection from Volks, can someone tell me if these clothes will be available for sale online or are they limited to in-store purchases only? Asking because there were two outfits that I'd like to get for my SDgr boy!

Edit: The photos are from the Volks News 88 but I can't see just from the scans if the clothes will be available online

That is disappointing about the SD boys being event only. This will make many wallets happy, but many hearts sad. I wonder if Volks USA will get them? I'd be surprised if they didn't get Cinderella, though.

This seems to be correct (though I don't think the HH legs have mobility thighs, either?). Just like Rapunzel only came with one set of leg parts, but the regular flat feet because her outfit isn't a fancy gown with high heels. It'd be nice if the dolls came with an optional parts order form to get the other set of legs if we wanted them.

I am crossing my fingers for a Snow White release in that beautiful Alabaster resin, hopefully with regular legs because her signature look isn't a ballgown and has shoes with only a short heel.

 

My grail doll, a Volks Date Masamune 2nd version, just arrived and he's truly perfect, I love his default face up! Here is a photo of him standing next to my DSD Coco, it's such a pain to photograph him alone in his default outfit - there's simply too much black so my poor phone camera tends to make the photos too bright to compensate for this

 

I wish Volks USA will bring William RG to an event (maybe Christmas). I really want him

I'm so excited, too! I woke up to lots of good news this morning. I snagged all the outfits I wanted from the Dolpa 43 lottery, and now I'm thinking I should have tried for a couple of more. @idrisfynn, they're really keeping us on our toes lately. The next round of outfits look gorgeous, too!

 

YAY! Just got an email from VolksUSA. My Williams and Cecile just made it to their office. Fingers crossed they will be coming home soon. Super excited to see them in person after seeing all y'alls gorgeous new boys!
